President Moon believes his American counterpart is "quite eligible for the Nobel Peace Prize,"

having repeatedly stressed that Trum made significant contributions to peace on the

Peninsula.

According to the nation's top office, the South Korean leader has not personally nominated

the U.S. President for the award, and since the nomination deadline has already passed,...

the Moon might not be able to nominate Trump after all.

Those comments come after the American commander in chief revealed that Japan's Prime Minister

wrote to the Norwegian Nobel committee, nominating him for the prize.

Is Faith Just Wishful Thinking? - Duration: 5:05.

I want you to listen very carefully to this clip I'm going to show you from

Miracle on 34th Street. Notice how the word "faith" is defined.

I was wrong when I told you that Suzy.

You must believe in Mr. Kringle, and keep right on doing it.

You must have faith in him.

But he didn't get me...that doesn't make sense, Mommy.

Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to.

That was in the original I think, right? You notice what she said, though:

"Faith is believing in things when common sense tells you not to." See, that's what

our culture believes is the definition of faith. That's what they're working

from. In fact, if you read Richard Dawkins' book "The God Delusion" where he argues if

you believe in God you're delusional, he argues that faith, or he just asserts

that faith is persistent false belief held in the face of strong contradictory

evidence. And so you have all this evidence going one way, and you just

blindly believe, you know, have faith in the opposite direction. It's kind of like

this: On one end of the spectrum you have science and reason, okay? This is when

you're thinking rational, the more evidence you have, it points towards

truth, this idea. But on the opposite end of the spectrum, this is where you have

no evidence, and this is where you insert faith, okay?

Faith, on this view, amounts to wishful thinking, and that's why we often talk

about, people talk about blind faith or a leap of faith, okay?

And so on this view, science and faith are completely at odds with each other.

Agreed. But the question is, is that what real biblical faith is? Well, I actually

don't think so, and neither does my friend Sean McDowell.

You guys know who Sean McDowell is. Sean, apologist professor at Biola. He says in

his book, "Is God Just a Human Invention?"

He writes, "Faith is not belief in spite of the evidence, but belief in light of

the evidence." I like that. It's not belief in spite of, it's belief in light of the

evidence. Now here's the problem: Who are you gonna believe? Are you gonna believe

Richard Dawkins, Miracle on 34th Street, you know, the culture? You're gonna

believe some Christians like Sean McDowell? Well I have an idea. If you want

to know what biblical faith is, it might be a good idea to, I don't know,

look in the Bible, you know? Who says that's a good idea?

All right, it's carried. How about we go to the Bible? So let's just

look at one passage. We could spend an hour looking through the

Bible and what faith is, but I think this is a great passage to go to. It turns out

in John's gospel, he tells us why he wrote his gospel near

the end. This is the purpose statement for why he wrote. You see, you read Luke,

he tells you right up front, here's why I'm writing. But you read John, you

got to wait till almost the end of the book, chapter 20. And in chapter 20, John

tells us in no uncertain terms why he recorded what he recorded. Here's what he

says, "Now Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are

not written in this book;" Stop right there. There's all these other signs we

don't even know about. They're not even written down in John's gospel, okay?

There's all these signs and wonders, but he says, "but these are written," okay, why

John? Why did you write about these signs and wonders? So if you got your Bible,

circle the words, "so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son

of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."

The whole point in John writing his gospel is to provide a trustworthy

eyewitness testimony evidence so that you and I

would read the evidence and believe. You see John, he got to see the evidence and

believe. Well I didn't get to see the resurrected Christ. Neither did you. What

we get is to read about the evidence and believe. Does this sound like John didn't

care about evidence? Seriously, this sound like John wants us

to take a blind leap of faith in the dark?

Not even close.

Kimbella Is Too Grown for Yandy's Drama 'Sneak Peek' | Love & Hip Hop: New York - Duration: 2:37.

Okay.

What's up?

I really invited everyone here

to have the time--

Yes, you told me.

And remember I told you, um,

I was gonna invite Yandy, and I was gonna--

and I said no drama, you was like, oh, it's cool.

And I didn't get the opportunity

to tell Yandy that you were coming.

Okay.

And yesterday we had a conversation,

and she's all upset, like, really worked up.

And I'm like, Yandy, what's going on?

She's-- ahh, you didn't tell me you invited Kim,

you should've gave me the heads up--

I'm like, well, I already talked to Kim,

and Kim told me wasn't gonna be any drama.

She's like, oh, but Juju--

she's been talking about my kids,

And she's been talking about me to Mariahlynn

and to Nya Lee,

and she said that I-- that I--

that I have an affinity for clout.

She's like, I wanna go home, I'm leaving.

I'm like, what's going on, like--

Yandy does not need to be so dramatic

about her going home.

It's not even that serious.

And if she thinks that I was talking

about her children,

she needs to come and talk to me like a grown woman.

I didn't talk about the kids with an "s."

I've only spoken about--

What did you say exactly?

That she was probably just doing it for herself

to look good.

You said probably just doing it to make her look good.

Yeah, to make herself look good.

And I said, I hope that's not the reason.

Okay. Okay.

That's exactly what I said.

And that's different from saying-- right.

So that's my truth.

Yeah, and that's how I feel about it.

I can feel how I feel.

Now she's taking him to...

a whole 'nother extreme

to try to look like the victim.

It's not even that, but I'm not gonna now

let our (bleep) interfere

with what you're trying to do and just--

Thank you.

--try to just have your friends here.

You know what I'm saying, like, of course,

I don't mind taking her to the side

or going to her room and having a conversation with her--

Okay, good.

--and be like, oh, you not gonna do that.

Like, you know what I'm saying?

I like this-- this Kim.

Thank you.

Very mature--

is it the ring, the engagement?

(laughing) Um...

Very mellow.

I just-- it's just too many things--

It's draining.

--that are going on, like,

you know, Jewel's-- his situation.

It's draining.

Us getting engaged.

The kids.

The wedding.

The wedding-- I don't have time for nonsense.

No.

And it's become

this bigger situation

that it doesn't need to be.

Something that could be small.

Right.

And we should be able to sit at a table together

and not have animosity

and not be like, oh, I'm not gonna stay here.

It's like-- come on.

Right.

Like, we're too grown for that, like, come on.

I'm not here to ruin nobody's day.

Come on, girl, let's go.

--'cause I got-- you know what to do--

I don't got time to be bothered,

I'm a whole fiancée--

Yes, ma'am.

About to be a wife.

Whole fiancée, say that again, sis?

Whole fiancée, about to be a wife.

Okay, okay.

Yes, ma'am.

And, you know, I'm just trying to have

positive energy moving forward.

Anthony Weiner Is Out of Prison, and in a Re Entry Center in Brooklyn The New York Times - Duration: 2:54.

Anthony Weiner Is Out of Prison, and in a Re Entry Center in Brooklyn The New York Times

[What you need to know to start the day: .]

Anthony D. Weiner, the disgraced former New York congressman, has been released from a federal prison in Massachusetts and moved to a re entry center in Brooklyn to serve out the remainder of his sentence for exchanging lewd texts with a minor.

Mr. Weiner, whose sexting scandals ended his tenure in Congress and then doomed his bid for New York City mayor, is scheduled to be released on May 14, according to Federal Bureau of Prisons records. Mr. Weiner, who served his first 15 months at Federal Medical Center Devens in Ayer, Mass., was supposed to serve a 21 month sentence, but was .

Mr. Weiners lawyers declined to comment, and the Federal Bureau of Prisons did not respond to a request for comment.

, and must register as a sex offender for the rest of his life.

Mr. Weiners time in prison stemmed from a federal investigation into sexually explicit pictures he exchanged in 2016 with a 15 year old girl in North Carolina. Mr. Weiner, who pleaded guilty to one count of transferring obscene material to a minor, had faced up to 10 years in prison.

I engaged in obscene communications with this teenager, Mr. Weiner said in May 2017 as he entered his plea agreement. Those communications included sharing explicit images and encouraging her to engage in sexually explicit conduct, just as he had done with adult women, he said.

The investigation resulting from his text messages with the 15 year old girl also led to a discovery of emails belonging to Huma Abedin, a senior aide to Hillary Clintons presidential campaign who Mr. Weiner married in 2010.

As a result, James Comey, then the F.B.I. director, had opened a new inquiry into Mrs. Clintons use of a private email address less than a month before the 2016 presidential election. Mrs. Clinton, a former secretary of state, has pointed to as one of the reasons she lost to President Trump.

Mr. Weiner, a Democrat, after he admitted to engaging in lewd online behavior. He attempted to resurrect his once promising political career by running for mayor in 2013. Mr. Weiner after additional explicit messages with other women surfaced.

Mr. Weiner and Ms. Abedin share a son, Jordan.

The Bureau of Prisons , also known as halfway houses, to help inmates nearing release with the transition. The program aims to help inmates with job and financial assistance with the goal of reducing the risk of committing additional crimes.

Mr. Weiner, known for his scrappy and brash style, entered Congress in 1998, winning the seat Chuck Schumer vacated after being elected to the United States Senate. Mr. Weiner had previously served eight years on the City Council, where he was the youngest person ever elected.

I acted not only unlawfully but immorally, and if I had done the right thing, I would not be standing before you today, Mr. Weiner told the judge during his sentencing hearing in 2017.

The prosecutors are skeptical that I have truly changed and I dont blame them, he said. I repeatedly acted in an obviously destructive way when I was caught.

She lost her daughter to gun violence, and this is her message to the Aurora sh00ting victims - Duration: 2:58.

She lost her daughter to gun violence, and this is her message to the Aurora sh00ting victims

On Friday, she learned of a workplace shooting that claimed multiple lives not far from NIUs campus in a manufacturing plant in Aurora.

On Sunday evening, she stood in the bitter cold near the Henry Platt Co. manufacturing business with a message for victims families and survivors of the shooting.

"In time, you will be able to move forward again," Mace said.

A former employee Friday after he was fired from his job, authorities said. Gary Martin injured six more people five of whom were law officers before police killed him.

Mace was one of several speakers to offer comfort to the suburban Chicago community at two vigils on Sunday. Members of the community joined the victims families to remember the victims and pray for peace.

Per the citys estimate, more than 1,700 people withstood freezing rain at the first gathering to remember Clayton Parks, Trevor Wehner, Russell Beyer, Vicente Juarez and Josh Pinkard.

City officials and faith leaders also offered prayers for the injured and first responders.

"To simply offer condolences is not enough it doesnt measure the amount of pain that we feel for the loss were experiencing in this community," Mayor Richard Irvin said.

"Now is a time to heal. Now is a time to forgive. Now is a time to move together as a stronger community."

Faith leaders from different congregations offered prayers on behalf of the victims and their families, including the injured.

"Its a somber day, one that breaks all of our hearts," said the Rev. Ed Doepel of Resurrection Church, which performed outreach services to the Aurora Police Department.

"To see what is happening to our great nation is disturbing to all of us as Americans. We cry out to you, Lord and we beseech your grace and mercy upon us all. Wipe away the fear that grips our hearts. Heal the tension and division that has emerged among us, Lord, and bring us together in love."

Others urged the public to pray for employees who survived the 90 minute rampage. They may have witnessed the massacre and hid in terror from the gunshots, Spencer said, unsure if they would be next. They may be wondering what saved them.

"Will you help us, God, to celebrate even the lives that were saved by law enforcement, the lives that were saved by circumstances?" said the Rev. Julian E. Spencer of the Main Baptist Church of Aurora.

"Give them what they need to put the pieces together to continue to move forward and continue to transform this place out from a place of pain to a place of peace."

Throughout the day, mourners left flowers at a makeshift memorial outside the plant, which included crosses for each of the five victims.

After the vigils, members of the community carried the crosses in a procession from the plant to the Aurora Police Department. After the second procession, the crowd entered the police station and greeted members of law enforcement with hugs and handshakes.

The timing of the Aurora plant shooting was a bitter reality for Mace and others affected by gun violence, on the day after the country marked the first anniversary of the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School mass shooting in addition to the 11th anniversary of the shooting at NIU which killed Maces 19 year old daughter, , and four other students.

She warned that the road ahead would not be easy.

"The heartache will often feel overwhelming, as will the confusing array of emotions and thoughts that things will never again feel right. Trauma will continue to rear its ugly head at the most inopportune moments," she said.

"Im here, though, as living proof to reassure you that it can all be survived."

Another woman who spoke at the second vigil identified herself as a survivor of the NIU shooting. She said she hoped for a day when she would never again have to speak at a vigil related to gun violence.

"Eleven years have gone by and it keeps happening, and its so disheartening and so sad," she said.

Addressing the victims families and survivors directly, she pledged to remember the dead as well as first responders. She reminded them they dont have to struggle through grief alone, and offered the fellowship of the NIU survivor community.

"The media and people may move on, but were not going to move on. Well be here for you."

Mary H. K. Choi is back with another lovely, social-media tinged YA romance: Exclusive preview - Duration: 32:30.

After breaking out last year in YA with her texting-based romance Emergency Contact, which went on to become a New York Times best-seller, author Mary H

K. Choi is back with her follow-up: Permanent Record.  Keeping focused on digital habits in the current era, Choi explores how social media influences relationships every day in her new romance, while also offering an authentic, witty window into modern college life

Here's the official synopsis: "After a year of college, Pablo is working at his local 24-hour deli, selling overpriced snacks to brownstone yuppies

He's dodging calls from the student loan office and he has no idea what his next move is

Leanna Smart's life so far has been nothing but success. Age eight: Disney Mouseketeer; Age fifteen: first #1 single on the US pop chart; Age seventeen, *tenth* #1 single; and now, at Age nineteen…life is a queasy blur of private planes, weird hotel rooms, and strangers asking for selfies on the street

When Leanna and Pab randomly meet at 4:00 a.m. in the middle of a snowstorm in Brooklyn, they both know they can't be together forever

So, they keep things on the down-low and off Instagram for as long as they can. But it takes about three seconds before the world finds out…"  Choi has shared with EW an exclusive preview of Permanent Record, in the form of an excerpt (which hints at the book's glorious nods to foodie culture) as well as a cover reveal

A bonus: In addition to the official jacket, you can see the case cover, which reveals the intricacies of the design (with art by ohgigue)

Read on below. Permanent Record publishes Sept. 3 and is available for pre-order

Excerpt from Permanent Record, by Mary H. K. Choi  I watch the girl on four small screens

Late-night bodega visitors are often mysterious, and this one is no exception. I'm loopy enough that I wonder if I've willed her to appear

I'm not a tinfoil-hat paranormal goon like Miggs, but there is this thing that happened to me in sixth grade

I was bored out of my mind and channeling every ounce of my mental energy to tell—no compel—Mr

Miller in biology to sit down and miss his chair. You should have seen my face when it happened

That split second made me believe in God, UFOs, ghosts, and reincarnation all at once

This dude goes to sit and misses. At the last second he grabs his desk with both hands and crashes into the seat with a bang that rings out like a shot

We laughed in the moment, but it was that surprised laughter where you're confused about whether or not something bad is happening

I was roaring because I thought I was a freakshow psychic spoonbender.  I don't know what this girl's story is, but she's definitely not from the neighborhood

She passes cleaning supplies, toilet paper, coffee filters, and garbage bags—anything you'd need for a nearby apartment—and heads straight for the snacks

She's walking carefully, and I see that her shoes are shiny white boots that are split, cloven in front like a pig's hoof

Beneath her oversize jacket is a Morticia Addams–type dress with jagged spikes on the tail

She could easily play the villain in an eighties space-action movie.  No question she's attractive

I don't need to look at the rest of her to know that. It's the way she carries herself

It's the same way you can tell when a group of girls are hot as a mass. Hot laughter is a thing too

The hotter the group of girls, the more seductive their laughter. Sure, the laughter can be annoying or scary, intimidating maybe, but that's its own thing

She keeps twitchily checking her phone and looking over her shoulder, but by the time she positions herself in front of the ice cream she's locked in

Our ice cream selection is captivating. I'm personally responsible for orders, so I should know

Whatever her provenance, I'm a fan. She peers through the glass for flavors instead of leaving the door hanging open

My mom calls this noonchi, which is Korean for "situational awareness" or "considerateness

" People who lack it keep their backpacks on in crowded trains and refuse to slow down when they're walking behind old people

Which is to say they're a–holes. This girl has noonchi. She's polite.  When she unloads her haul in front of me it's highly respectable

She's probably stoned.  Salt and vinegar kettle crisps. This is the best flavor hands down

Sweet Maui Onion being the runner-up (Hawaiian brand only—not Deep River or Kettle

Sorry).  Sour gummy cola bottles, which to me personally is tartness overkill with the chips

As someone who's housed an entire pound of Sour Patch Kids at the movies after salt and vinegar chips, I can testify to this

Artisanal oatmeal chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream. (No Halo Top fake-out garbage

)  Peanut butter chips and white chocolate chunks from the baking aisle, and this is where my heart skips a beat, because she's also managed to dig up a squeeze bottle of Magic Shell, the chocolate that hardens when you put it on ice cream

We only stock a few bottles because the dairy-free organic off-brand sells better even though its hardening capabilities are suspect

A resealable sleeve of sliced provolone. The most unobtrusive, approachable yet classy snacking cheese in my book

"Hi," she says in a surprisingly raspy voice.  "Hey," I say, ringing her up and bagging

"Strong selection. Valentine's Day party?"  "Ha." She laughs dryly. "Very much the opposite

. . ." She reaches over to pull the candy out of the bag. "Plastic bags hurt my heart

. . ," she says, smoothing the bag on the counter. "I'll carry it out."  She smiles quickly

Ruefully.  Ugh. She's probably throwing a breakup party.  "Sorry," I stammer

"I mean, not for the bag, although apologies to the planet. . . . Sorry for mentioning Valentine's Day

I don't know your situation. Or life."  "Oh," she says, and smiles, actually seeing me now

"It's fine. I'm not sad about it. At all." She tilts her head at the food. "It's a f—ing celebration, tbqh

"  I can't believe she tee-bee-que-aytch'd me.  "Oh. Kay."  She laughs.  And then, because I'm this guy, "Can I make a suggestion?"  She eyes me

Leery. As though she senses my cooped-up feral energy and has zero idea where this is headed

"Sure."  "I admire your snack choices across the board. However, if you're doing salt and vinegar—which is an excellent way to go," I begin

"Are you completely satisfied to go sour-sour with the cola bottles? Just putting it out there that we have regular bottles, twin cherries

. . We also carry gummy frogs if you want that mallowy toothsomeness with a hit of surreptitious peach—or, and I know this is wild, but hear me out

. . ." I hold my hands up. "Would you be open to going sour cola but pairing it with Zapp's Voodoo for the sweetness even though I can't tell if the chips are somehow racist

. . ."  ohmygodstoptalking.  She tilts her head and furrows her brow. There's something about all the makeup and this shimmery s–t on her face that makes her appear CGI

Objectively attractive but giving the impression that if you wiped the layer off it'd be smooth like an egg

That there'd be no features underneath.  "Sir," she says. "Hold the phone. Do you mean to inform me that those Haribo frogs are peach flavored?"  Hold the phone?  Okay

She's super cute.  I nod, clear my throat. "Yeah."  "Surreptitious is right," she says

"Thought they were apple."  I want to be friends with this person.  "Plus, little-known fact: the green gummy bears are strawberry," I tell her

Why am I still talking? I want to cringe until my spine collapses into itself

"Little-known fact: the green gummy bears are strawberry"?  If sentences could reinstate your virginity, this would be a strong contender

"Well, blow me down," she says, seemingly without judgment, and then hits the counter with a balled-up fist like a gavel

"Even still, I'm doubling down on sour-sour."  "Power," I rhyme.  Jesus.  She laughs and checks her pocket

Then she gives her skintight cave-witch chain-mail dress a hurried pat-down.  Her fingernails are painted the exact dark blue of her dress with two of them chipped, and her thumbnail is broken to the quick

She doesn't have a purse, not even a tiny one, which is a surefire sign she's not from here

Like when dudes on the train wear Adidas Sambas or Aldo sneakers—definite tourists

"S–t," she says, and scratches her eyebrow with her thumb. Then she sighs.  "Wallet?"  "Yeah," she says

I watch her glance down at her food. Deflated.  "Apple Pay?" she asks brightly, holding her phone out

"I don't think that's a thing with us," I glance at the register. "Do you know how that s–t works?"  "You know, I've never successfully used it before in my life? Do I wave the phone over a reader or

. . ?"  "Yeah, I don't know." I shrug. "Retina scan?"  "Man," she says. "Buzzkill

"  Then she shivers violently, blowing on her hands.  "Cold?"  She grins at me and raises her brows

"Yeah, my powers of deduction are legendary."  She laughs. "What are the warning signs of hypothermia?" She hugs herself tight

My jaw hurts just looking at her chattering teeth. Her eyes are closed as if to conserve energy

"I think I'm just going to walk toward the light if that's cool," she says.  "Okay

" I spring into action. "Here's what's going to happen," I tell her, coming around the counter, headed for the coffee machines

I pour a cup and hand it to her. "On me."  "Thanks," she says, drinking it black, grimacing, and then adding copious amounts of sugar and cream from the cooler

She smiles at me self-consciously and then adds even more sugar and cream and then takes another sip

"You're a lifesaver," she says, smiling.  "Are you ready for the next part?"  "Go on," she says

"It's kind of wild," I warn her. "You ready?"  I grab the twenty-dollar space heater from behind the counter, kick off my slippers, step into my boots, and walk the heater as close to her as the cord allows

"Whoa," she says appreciatively. "Game changer."  "Right?"  Okay. Up close she's really, very, extra cute

"Man, this is easily the best part of my evening . . . morning?" She shrugs, inspects her thumb, and then sticks it in her mouth

"Thank you."  I pick up the ice cream and the rest of her provisions from the counter to put them back, but the prospect of disbanding such a solid selection doesn't seem right

"You know what?" I tell her. "Go ahead and keep this." I gesture to the chips and candy

I know. Crazy. But I already knew I liked this girl when I wouldn't let her see my house shoes

"Noooo," she says in this theatrical way, eyes bugged, thumb still lodged in her teeth

"Yeessssss." I hand the Magic Shell to her. How could I bogart such joy?  "No way

" She takes another sip of coffee.  "Seriously." I get it. New York tests you on certain days

"You've clearly traveled a long way . . . possibly many, many light-years." I nod at her dress

She laughs as I wave my hand magnanimously, channeling Brando as Vito Corleone forgiving a loan

I narrow my eyes for effect, puffed up by my own generosity.  What's sixty short of rent when you can be a hundred?  The girl observes me

Intently. I give her a look like, I know. She sighs. We're the exact same type of tired

"Oh!" she exclaims. "No, wait!"  She checks a back pocket on her jacket and fishes out a credit card and slams it on the counter

"Yes!" she proclaims.  It's a Black Amex. The type rappers talk about and warlords never mention

The kind with no interest and no limit.  "Thank God." She loops her arm in mine and ushers me back up to the register, resuming her position as the customer-lady who has her s–t together

I ring her up again, arm buzzing lightly from her contact. She swipes the card reader, which beeps in protest

"It's a chip, I think." Meanwhile I've never seen a Black Card in real life.  Who is this girl?  "Oh," she says, taking another sip

"Well, s–t, now I have performance anxiety."  "Here." I reach over and hit yes before reinserting it

I catch the name: Carolina Suarez.  Carolina Suarez . . . about my age, with a Black Card

Socialite? Gallerina? Heiress?  As I hand her the receipt our fingers touch

Bzzzzzt.  "Let me ask you . . ."  "Shoot," she says.  "How many miles did you travel last year?" There's no way the Black Amex Centurion is a better deal than the Chase Sapphire Reserve

"Is there a mansplain deluge in my forecast?"  "Okay, fair enough." I stop.  "Oh, come on," she says, cracking a smile

"The suspense might kill me."  This and snacks are my wheelhouse. My legerdemain, my alleyway

If you're not scamming as much money as humanly possible from institutions are you even living? Weird flex, sure, but one time I stayed on hold with the cable company for an hour because they didn't give us Showtime for the month they said they would

I made them throw in HBO and a free ground line. I know there's a card out there that's a better deal than a Black Amex

You don't go into mountains of debt without fostering a healthy obsession with credit cards that might save your ass if you qualified for them

"So, you do travel a lot?"  "A lot," she confirms.  "You fly with one airline?"  "Sure

. ."  "Delta? American?" She looks too classy to be on that Southwest mayhem tip

Virgin maybe, but it's all the same now with the buyouts.  She clears her throat then, tugging her hair out from the back of her windbreaker

It's long, in this bewitching shade of red that doesn't exist in nature. The effect is spellbinding

She reminds me of the Little Mermaid.  That's when I realize who she is.  Whoa

I'm so dumb.  Carolina.  Suarez.  Carolina Suarez is Leanna Smart.  My heart drops into my a–hole

Leanna Smart is in the store. My store. As in, the Disney star who went from a kids' show about a family of rich orphaned witches trapped in a maze to a mega popstar

When he was younger, my brother Rain was obsessed with her Christmas Special, which they'd run into July

"JetBlue?" I ribbit after what has to be an hour.  I attempt to swallow.  "You don't fly commercial, do you?" I ask her

She knows that I've made her but I'm not letting on.  "I mean . . . I have . .

," she says as the blood thunders into my ears.  She gathers her groceries, and I take a half step back

"So . . ."  "So?"  Whatever. When am I going to see her again?  "So, do private jets really cost $300,000 to fly internationally? I've always wondered

"  She laughs. "Why are you so obsessed with money?"  "Isn't everybody?"  "I guess so," she says

"Even the ones who don't talk about it."  "Especially the ones who don't talk about it

"  She goes silent.  "So, it's money and snacks with you."  "I contain multitudes

"  "Sounds crowded," she says, smiling to dull the sting.  "We get by." I smile back

Wide.  Leanna Smart cocks her head, sizing me up. "Wait, don't I know you from somewhere?"  It's easily the most surreal question a famous person can ask you

Then she claps her hands.  "You're that kid."  I hate this part.

XFL vs. AAF: What Is Difference in New Football Leagues? | Heavy.com - Duration: 8:14.

XFL vs. AAF: What Is Difference in New Football Leagues? | Heavy.com

The AAF (Alliance of American Football) is off to a good start, but things will get more challenging in 2020 when the XFL launches.

Like the AAF, the XFL is looking to fill the football void that is left once the Super Bowl ends and the NFL offseason officially begins.

It remains to be seen whether there is enough interest to support not one but two developmental football leagues.

One of the positives that have come out of the launch of the AAF has been the quality of play.

The question is whether there is enough talent not currently playing in the NFL to support both leagues.

The launch of the XFL calls into question whether either league will be able to offer the same level of football when the number of combined AAF and XFL teams double after just one season.

As the AAF and XFL begin competing against each other in 2020, the irony is that AAF co-founder Charlie Ebersol got the idea for the league after he made a documentary about the XFL for ESPN.

Ebersol's father, Dick Ebersol, was part of the XFL's launch as an NBC television executive.

"I remember being on the sidelines and thinking 'this is incredible,'" Charlie Ebersol told CBS Sports.

"When I started to dig back into that a couple of years ago to do the film, I started seeing how the potential was never met in terms of what you could do with football.

You had lots of people show up.

They just showed up to bad products.

So if you really focused on having a good product, there'd be something there.".

Like the AAF, the XFL will start with eight teams: Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, St.

Louis, Seattle, Tampa Bay and Washington D.C.

Only one of these eight cities are without an NFL team.

The AAF has six teams in unique markets: Orlando, Birmingham, Memphis, San Antonio, San Diego and Salt Lake City.

Arizona and Atlanta both play in a region with an NFL team.

Little is known about the XFL, but here is what we know about the league's vision heading into 2020.

The XFL Is Hoping to Be a Quarterback Driven League, While the AAF Has Focused on Coaches.

The AAF has had a relatively successful start despite having quarterbacks that are far from household names.

With the exception of Christian Hackenberg, the majority of AAF starting quarterbacks are a relative unknown.

The XFL is planning to attract top-level quarterbacks and begin marketing them for next season.

The XFL's strategy appears to be offering these quarterbacks more money than the AAF.

According to XFL 2K, the quarterbacks are expected to be offered a $300,000 salary which is more than an AAF quarterback will make over the three-year life of their $250,000 contract.

Coaches for the XFL teams are currently being interviewed, with $500,000/year being the expected pay.

Quarterbacks are reportedly being offered $300,000.

The current idea is to have eight star quarterbacks signed by March so that they can start marketing the coaches and the quarterbacks to the local markets.

The AAF has instead chosen to focus their funds on attracting coaches like Steve Spurrier.

According to Sporting News, the AAF coaches salary is an estimated $500,000.

It is worth noting this is the same amount the XFL is reportedly offering and former Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops has already been hired to lead the Dallas franchise.

The XFL Wants to Shed Its Perception as a Gimmick League.

The initial XFL campaign lasted just one season in 2001.

There are a variety of factors that went into the XFL's failure, but one key reason is the league tried to fight a losing battle by competing with the NFL.

This time around, the XFL appears to be taking a similar approach as the AAF in that it wants to complement the NFL.

The old XFL emphasized gimmicks and marketing to drum up interest.

The XFL now wants to be known for playing quality football.

Given the presence of the AAF, the XFL will have to find ways to differentiate itself as a unique league.

The XFL is expected to experiment with a few rule changes and one idea mentioned is the league could have a running clock.

Instead of the clock stopping when a player goes out of bounds or after an incomplete pass, the clock would continue to run in an effort to shorten games.

One advantage that the XFL has over the AAF is a large bankroll.

According to XFL2K, Vince McMahon plans to put $500 million into the new league.

The AAF is hoping its partnership with the NFL can help make up some of the financial difference.

The key to the XFL's success depends on what kind of television and streaming deal the league is able to get.

An agreement with a network like ESPN would add to the XFL's exposure and marketing.

Chelsea news: 'Liability' player is reason Blues won't finish in top four - Stewart Robson - Duration: 2:33.

That is the opinion of ESPN FC pundit and former Arsenal midfielder Stewart Robson

Robson made his feelings clear on Jorginho shortly after he joined the Blues last summer

The pundit claimed the £57million signing from Napoli does not have the qualities to be a defensive midfielder

Robson said last August: "I don't think he's a good defensive player, I don't think he's a good player in that holding midfield role

"As a holding-midfield player, you need to have athleticism to cover your full-back, you need to be a good reader of the game, get in-between your centre-halves when the ball's in wide areas, you need to be able to close the ball down and win it back

"You need to be able to be, I would say, still a creative passer. "Jorginho I don't think has got any of those qualities

" Italy international Jorginho has received criticism in recent weeks, with Chelsea dropping down to sixth in the Premier League table

And Robson has once again pointed the finger at the 27-year-old, claiming he is why the Blues have been struggling

Speaking this week, Robson said: "[Maurizio] Sarri's sticking with the same old policy and there's a player in there that I think is the main reason why Chelsea aren't winning enough games

"That's, you know I'm going to say, Jorginho. "As I said right at the start of the season he can't run, which means he can't defend spaces outside of the full-backs

"He can't head the ball so he can't get between his centre-halves and do a good defensive job there

"He can't see a forward pass unless he's got a lot of time on the ball, so he can only pass backwards and square

"He can't manipulate the ball to wriggle out of situations. "So he is a liability for Chelsea and all the time that he is in the side, Chelsea I don't think will qualify for the Champions League

"

Pension Maximization: Is It For You? - Duration: 6:54.

Hi my name is Dave Grant.

I'm a Certified Financial Planner,

and the founder of Retirement Matters,

a financial planning and investment management

company is Barrington, Illinois.

As you may have seen these videos before,

we get into some deep topics.

We try and keep it top level because I don't want to

stretch this into a 15-20 minute video.

This is a topic today that we can get

dangerously long-winded on

but I want to keep this at a 3-5 minute video.

We are talking about pension maximization today.

So if you don't know what pension maximization is,

let's start at the top.

When you have a pension from a company,

you obviously have different election options,

most of the time.

So you can choose to take it as a pension

payment over your lifetime.

You can choose to do a pension payment

that is 50% joint and survivor;

so that means that you get a benefit when you pass away,

your spouse gets 50% of your benefit

for the rest of their life.

Or you can do a different split of that;

whether it's 100% joint and survivor,

so that the benefit that you get when you pass away

is actually the same as what your spouse gets.

So lots of different options there.

Pension maximization;

instead of taking a split benefit between you and a partner,

it aims to take the maximum benefit that you can take,

and take the difference of what would take with a single

life pension which is the most you can get,

but disappears after you die;

takes the difference of amount there,

versus one of the split pension payment options,

purchases life insurance on your life,

and hopefully the benefit's going to be

higher when you pass away,

and you're actually paying lower premiums.

You actually get a nice spread in between

the bigger benefit you're

getting versus the one you're

not getting in the lower payment.

I'm going to give you a blog post here;

which if that made no sense at all,

in the show notes of this video go ahead

and take a look at this blog post.

It'll explain it in detail,

and hopefully that will make more sense.

So for example sake,

let's say that you had a $2800 a month single life pension,

versus a $2100 a month 100% joint and survivor pension,

so the payment's the same for you and your spouse.

That $700 delta,

that could be used to purchase life insurance,

and the aim is to get the premium per month

to be less than that $700 a month,

which will actually give an annuity benefit when that life

insurance kicks in when you die, an annuity gets purchased,

where the monthly income is higher than what you're actually

giving up in doing all of this process.

So why would you even consider doing this

versus just taking a 50% joint and survivor benefit?

Well for one, if you take the life insurance option

you may actually be able to turn that life insurance

lump sum over into an annuity and get a bigger payment

than you would've done should you have taken

a joint and survivor annuity.

Secondly, if you're taking that single life -

If you've got great health in your family

you could be living a long time.

So if you're living another 20 to 30 years

you're actually getting a lot more money

over that single life period;

and it could be a case of if you think

okay, I might live longer than my spouse,

then you get a lot bigger benefit over your lifetime,

versus having a smaller benefit with

the potential of some going to your spouse.

Additionally, if you are healthy, you may find that that

delta that you're actually using to purchase life insurance

premiums is actually a lot less in purchasing the

life insurance premium than you actually

would be in giving up the pension.

So you can get a bigger benefit for a

smaller purchase price,

and actually get ahead in every scenario.

The last benefit, and this is kind of a big one,

is if your spouse predeceases you,

you've now got a life insurance policy in place on yourself;

you've got a big pension benefit that's going to disappear,

and who cares because your spouse

has actually predeceased you,

you can now change the beneficiary on that life insurance

to leave it to your children, or your grandchildren,

and now what would've been just a pension that disappeared

with you and your spouse now becomes a whole inheritance

that you can leave for your family members;

becomes a whole lot more valuable to your whole family.

So what are the cons to this pension maximization?

And there are some big ones.

Some companies, for example;

if you want retiree medical benefits

for both yourself and your spouse,

they will require that you take a

joint and survivor pension as well,

because they don't want you mixing and

matching all these benefits.

If it's joint things that you need,

everything has to be joint.

Another con can be if you're not as healthy as you thought

you would be you're life insurance benefit that you're

paying for may actually not be big enough for your spouse

should you pass away pretty quickly,

in leaving them with enough income to last

for the rest of their life.

And lastly, you're going to be keeping this insurance policy

going well into your 70's, 80's, 90's potentially,

and there could be a chance that should you change banks,

or various different things change, like you move house,

and you're getting premium notices sent to your old address,

that this insurance policy lapses

because premiums aren't being paid.

So now this whole structure that you built is now

null and void because you didn't make the premiums,

and so it's just been a big waste.

So you got to be on top of this the whole time,

or designate someone to be on top of it if you don't think

you will be into your old age.

So, in a nutshell, this is what pension maximization is;

it's looking at joint and survivor pension

versus a single life annuity pension tied to life insurance

to see if you can get a bigger benefit

for your and your spouse overall.

It's not for everyone.

It does take a lot of analyses, and understanding health

history and what the risks and rewards are going to be.

But it is a good fit for some people.

Anthony Hamiltons Star Spangled Banner at NBA All Star game is overshadowed by guitarists side eye - Duration: 4:22.

Anthony Hamiltons Star Spangled Banner at NBA All Star game is overshadowed by guitarists side eye

Singer Anthony Hamilton performed a stirring rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at the All Star Game, but its his bass guitarist thats getting all the attention.

The soul singer, flanked by an acoustic guitarist and a bassist, put a slowed down spin on the national anthem while performing it before Sunday nights game started.

Hamiltons chilled out rendition of the song was well received by both game attendees and viewers at home — in stark contrast to Fergies up and down version at the 2018 All Star Game — leading to favorable comparisons to Marvin Gayes beloved singing of the anthem during 1983s NBA All Star Game.

Anthony Hamilton took to center court to perform a stirring version of the Star Spangled Banner during Sundays NBA All Star Game

Social media users were tickled by the last four seconds of the performance, when Hamiltons bassist appeared to give his final note improvisation a tremendous side eye

While most praised Hamiltons performance, eagle eyed social media users, however, caught one person that didnt appear to be quite so taken with Hamiltons version of the song.

Although the bassist is clearly jamming along and feeling the tune, he appears to get a little thrown right at the end of the song where it seems like Hamilton mightve engaged in a little unexpected improv.

As Hamilton belts out the last note, the bassist can clearly be seen furrowing his eyebrows and engaging in a noticeable side eye — a four second moment in time that went viral almost immediately.

Anthony Hamilton is singing the anthem but dude on the guitar behind him is stealing the show, Twitter user @Simply_Cv wrote.

Social media users were quick to tweet out the moment and turn it into a meme

My man playing guitar behind Anthony Hamilton smelled something funky, @gifdsports tweeted out Sunday night, accompanied by the side eye clip, which has been viewed 234,000 times already.

Lmao Anthony Hamilton must of farted Look at the guitarist reaction he deserves MVP for the All Star game, @shanshan888888 joked.

Someone tell Anthony Hamiltons guitar player hes on camera, @directedbybank tweeted.

Anthony Hamiltons guitar player was not pleased with the improv at the end of the song, @quaysea tweeted, also accompanying his tweet with a clip of the side eye — viewed 75,000 times — that is destined to become a well used meme.

As if to prove this will be true, tweeter @Angela_Blair accompanied screenshots of the bassists furrowed brow and side eye with the caption, Mood for the rest of the year.

What is the true value of Guest posts and Nofollow Links on Forbes? - Duration: 2:56.

- So, when it comes to high-authority sites

whether it's Forbes, Inc, Entrepreneur.com or whoever,

we all know the vast majority of links on it

are now going to be nofollow links,

so in terms of a business trying to make some headway

on their ACO, it may seem like a colossal waste of time,

considering the expense,

the relationship building

and coordination that's required to get on

a site like that.

So we all know the reason a lot of these links

were nofollowed at Huffington Post, Forbes

and other large sites was due to people

abusing the system, so essentially people that had

connections to publish raters were selling links

on articles to facilitate link manipulation.

Now, we could argue all day about whether

it's any different to the way product placement

has been employed in traditional media,

but there was never element of abuse

in terms of people placing very out of place,

non-natural looking links,

so it was a problem and that was the way it was addressed

by nofollowing of the link, but,

as Dell inherently walked and gained these tapes of links,

so when you do this correctly i.e.

When you either get relevant piece created

and put on there or you're mentioned

in a contextual and relevant section of an article

that's on a site like Forbes, that has value.

Okay, that's a nofollow link, but

that's only according to Google anyway.

Nobody actually knows if that is the case,

and there may be somewhat of a small ACO effect

when you're building a nofollow link.

I think when you take the authority of the site

into a code it could still have some ACO weight.

Also having a nofollow link like this

is better for your link portfolio anyway.

It seems more natural to have a mix,

so that in of itself can have an end direct

benefit on your rankings, not to mention direct traffic,

I mean that's definitely not to be ignored

and especially if it's an amazing article.

If it's a contextually relevant link placed,

you know, in the perfect place, like saying

the very targeted traffic to your site.

Even for band awareness, purely just for being mentioned

on such, publication is worth it.

And also brand trust, the fact that you're being

featured on a site like Forbes or Rank

is great for your brand.

You can even add it as a, you know,

as one of those as featured on blocks,

that will build even more trust in your site,

in your brand, and that could reflect in your

conversion rates as well once you do start

getting traffic to the site.

So I hope that video helped and cleared that up

and obviously just leave any comments

if you're watching this on, you know,

YouTube and Instagram and yep, have a great day.
