Use Your Authority for Healing - Duration: 25:22.(Singing) I know my God has made the way for
me. I know my God has made the way for me.
GLORIA: We're just going to start looking at the word today,
and we're going to ... You know, you can't believe beyond what
you actually know. If you don't know it, you can't believe for
it. That's why faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word
of God. And we have to keep our faith stirred up by hearing. You
don't have it in your heart just because you heard it 25 years
ago. To keep something in your heart, you got to continually
feed on it. So it's good to come to Healing School when you're
well. You can just take a big dose of God's medicine. You
can't get an overdose. You just take all you want, and the more
you take, the better you get. Hallelujah! The freer you get.
So let's look at Psalm 145, verse 8: "The Lord is gracious."
That means he's disposed to show favors. "And full of
compassion." He's full of compassion. "Slow to anger and
of great mercy." If he's full of compassion, there's no room for
anything else. He's got great mercy. Mercy, just the word
mercy's not enough. You have to amplify mercy some way, tender
mercy, great mercy. God's mercy is so wonderful. We know that it
endures forever. The scripture says so. We know that his
mercy's renewed every morning, so what you did yesterday, hey,
mercies for you today. Isn't God good? Hallelujah. "The Lord is
gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and of great
mercy." I think I have a definition here of mercy from
"Christ the Healer." That's one of the best books on healing
I've ever read, by F.F. Bosworth. To suffer with another
eager yearning. God has eager yearning to do you good. We
think we've got to talk God into the idea of doing something for
us, and most of the time he's already done it. He's already
taken care of our healing. He put our sicknesses and diseases
on Jesus. What do we have to do? We just have to believe what
he's already done. That's faith. The Lord is gracious, full of
compassion, slow to anger, and of great mercy. The Lord is good
to all. That's why you're going to be healed today. The Lord is
good to all, and his tender mercies are over all his works.
Now, look at Psalm 103. This is a great psalm here. Ooh, you
could live on this psalm. Settles the issue really. "Bless
the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me bless his holy
name. Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and forget not all his
benefits." Some places, you know, they say, "Well, at our
church, we don't teach healing. We don't preach healing. We
preach the new birth. We think it's more important." Well, I
think it's more important too. If I had to make a choice, I'd
definitely choose the new birth. But I want you to learn right
here you don't ever have to make that choice. This says, "Forget
not all his benefits." And then it begins to list the benefits.
Psalm 68 says, "God daily loadeth us." Daily, not one
time. We're living in a state of salvation, a state of being made
sound. "He daily loadeth us with the benefits of salvation." You
ought to get up every morning, just expecting to be loaded with
the benefits of your salvation. You are a citizen of the Kingdom
of God. The power of God, the anointing of God, the anointed
one, the holy ghost is in you, hallelujah, and you ought to be
expecting every day. You ought to just get up every day
thinking, "I wonder what good things God is going to do for me
today." Hallelujah. That's expectancy. That's faith. That's
what causes God to move. That's just the kind of a heart
attitude God is looking for to show himself strong. "Who
forgiveth ..." Here's one of the benefits. "Who forgiveth all
thine iniquities." I think the "all" words in the bible. "Who
forgiveth all thine iniquities." You didn't commit something
God's not going to forgive. I don't care how recent it was
either. It won't keep you from getting healed today. That's
because God's full of mercy and compassion and eager yearning to
do you good, and it's because he's good. Now just keep your
place there, and we'll settle this issue about the sin part. A
lot of times people need this in Healing School. We had a girl
that had stolen things off the book table the day before, and
she'd come into Healing School. She'd been paralyzed on one side
of her body for two years, and she would never have been able
to receive her healing without this scripture. In James 5:14,
it says ... well, 13 says, "Is any among you afflicted?" That
means troubled. That doesn't mean with sickness there, if you
look it up in the Greek. "Is any among you afflicted? Let him
pray." You know, if you got trouble, you're the one that
better be praying about it. It's good to write and get prayer
requests and have people pray with you and have the pastor
pray or the church ministers pray with you. That's good. But
I'm telling you what's really good is for you to pray too. You
better pray too. "Is any merry? Let him sing psalms." That would
be like ... the prayer business would be like, "Is any merry?
Well, let him get somebody to sing for him." If you're in
trouble, I'm telling you one thing, nobody cares like you
care. You might have a good pastor, but he may be in trouble
too. He may be having something he's got to pray through. We're
just naturally more concerned about our own trouble, aren't
we? So you're the one that needs to lay hold of it in faith. You
learn how to be dependent on your own spiritual welfare and
what you've got in your heart, and you pray. Get others to pray
with you. That's good, if they know how to pray. Don't get
somebody to pray with you that says, "Well, Lord, if it's your
will, heal him." Just forget that. Or if that person doesn't
know what the will of God is, they cannot have any faith in
their prayer. That's not good. So this says, "If any is
afflicted among you, let him pray. If any merry, sing psalms.
If any sick among you, let him call for the elders of the
church. Let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the
name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith shall save," and the
same word that's translated "saved" is translated "healed,"
and it's the word that salvation comes from. "Shall save or heal
the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up." Now that's good,
but here's the mercy of God: "And if he have committed sins,
they shall be forgiven him. If he have committed sins." So
today, even if you've been living in sin, maybe your
lifestyle's the reason you've got what you've got, and you
know the devil tells you, "Well, look, big boy, you've got
yourself into this. God's not going to heal you because you
got into it by doing wrong anyway." See, Satan really, he
depends a lot on condemnation because, if you believe God's
your problem, then you're not going to be able to believe God
for healing or anything. Or he'll say you're in it because
you ... as a punishment. Now, there are certain things. In
fact, the bible just says, "The wages of sin is death." But it's
not the punishment of God that comes on you really. Now there
is a wrath of God coming, but it's not here yet. We're in the
day of grace, the scripture says. And oh, yes, thank you,
God, we're in the day of grace. But it's not God punishing you.
It's that, when the wages of the sin are the produce of sin,
sin's lifestyle brings death. Sin's lifestyle brings sickness
and disease. Sin's lifestyle brings defeat. That's because
it's part of the curse, and it promotes the curse in your life.
But, according to the mercy of God, you could get healed today.
You can get forgiven for your sins today and healed at the
same time. Now that's how good God is. He won't hold it against
you. He wants you to be free. He loves you even when you do wrong
because he's a good God. And he's always eagerly yearning to
get you into a place where he can minister to you. I think
that's why he likes Healing School so much because we just
come in here and let him do what he likes to do. Hallelujah. So,
if you've got sin in your life, if you've never made Jesus
Christ the Lord of your life, you've never become a believer,
well, today's the day. You can do it all at one time. If you've
got sin in your life, repent of it. If you're a Christian, get
it under the blood of Jesus. And if you've never made Jesus
Christ the Lord of your life, when we pray the prayer, I'll
lead you in prayer, and you pray it from your heart. You can
become a new creature and be healed at the same time. Oh,
God's good. He's always been good, he's always be good. This
time, jillions of years from now in eternity, he'll still be
good. And so you can see the will of God done in three places
where God's will was done unhindered. You can see God's
will in sickness and disease and healing and so on in these three
places. One of them was the Garden of Eden. There was no
sickness, no disease, no pain, no lack, plenty of everything,
abundance, perfect. It was good. Didn't God make something and
say, "It's good, it's good"? He made this, and it was good. What
else would a good God do but make something good? So you see
the will of God done before sin came in the Garden of Eden. Then
you see the will of God done unhindered in heaven, no pain or
sorrow there, the bible says, no sickness or disease, no lack, no
sorrow of any kind in heaven. What a wonderful place it's
going to be. I wish Jesus would come right now. I just wish he'd
come right now. You talk about a believers' convention. Friend,
we are going to have a believers' convention when we
get to heaven. It is going to be so wonderful. And if you've lost
loved ones and they've already crossed over to the other side,
and you're grieving for them, you're spending your time,
wasting your time, wasting your time. They wouldn't come back if
they could. Once you cross over into the glory, this place looks
like the pits. Grief is not of God. Death, the spirit of death,
the spirit of grief travel together. Spirit of death comes
into a family, the spirit of grief's right there on its heels
to ruin the rest of the family. And many people are sick because
they're grieving. What happens when you start grieving? Well,
the life of God quits flowing out of you. You get down, you
get depressed. Grief is one of the most powerful things to
suppress the life of God in you. Now that's one reason that
people don't get healed, because they try to live under that
spirit of grief, so rebuke it. Now, I think it's going to rain
today. So we might as well not be in any hurry. We'll just sit
here and go into the word of God. Mercy me! In the name of
Jesus, you don't touch this place! In Jesus' name, we bind
you! Now, you get out of here, weather! You get out of here,
weather, in Jesus' name! This is the sanctuary of the Lord today.
And I rebuke any kind of bad weather. I rebuke any storm over
this city. You get out in Jesus' name. We take authority over
you! We take authority over you in the name of Jesus!
Hallelujah! Glory to God! Now, lights, you stay on, in Jesus'
name. Glory to God! Thank you, Lord! Thank you, Jesus. The
third place you see the will of God done is in the ministry of
Jesus. When Philip said, "Show us the father," Jesus said, "If
you've seen me, you've seen the father." Everything Jesus did,
the word says that he spoke the words that God spoke. He said,
"I only do what I see my father do." So everything that he did
was what God was telling him to do. Let's read that scripture.
We quoted it, but let's read the scripture in Acts 10 about
Jesus' ministry, how Peter described it, Acts 10:38: "How
God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the holy ghost and with
power, who went about doing good and healing all that were
oppressed of the devil, who went about doing good and healing all
that were oppressed of the devil, for God was with him."
It's raining on me. Someone help me. Are you all getting wet? In
the name of Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! We thank you, Lord! In
the name of Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! Jesus! We thank you, Lord! In
Jesus' name! In Jesus' name! (Praying in the Spirit) You get
your hands off this, devil. In the name of Jesus, I won't
tolerate it. I rebuke you, wind. I rebuke you, rain. Get out of
here! Get out of here, in the name of Jesus! In the name of
Jesus! In the name of Jesus! MALE: Okay. I'm going to ask you
please, because of the roof, we want to go over to the
exhibition hall, so if you'd take your things please and just
move orderly through this door here, over to the exhibition
hall next door. The attendants with the people in the
wheelchairs, please come down and assist them. Just go in an
orderly manner. Everything is fine. The Lord is in control.
GLORIA: Yeah, I just don't want to rush out. MALE: So, if you
will, just move over to the exhibition hall. GLORIA: Go
believe in God! We're healed! We're healed! We're protected!
We're delivered! Hallelujah! Go ahead and close your eyes and

you just lift up to Jesus what you'd have him do for you right

you tell him what it is. Lord, we would have a marvelous and
wonderful manifestation of your healing power here right now. I
take authority over every sickness, over every disease,

your blood to be healed and normal in Jesus' name. I command

then I was believing, and I wasn't believing. But my wife
was believing. GLORIA: She stayed with it. MALE: Last
night, in last night's service, we were praising and praying,
and at the moment Brother Ken came on the stage, he said,
"Just praise God and give it up." And I asked, I dedicated,
and I gave it up. And I said, "I want my inheritance right now,"
and the first words out of Brother Ken's mouth was
"Somebody's knees are being healed," and it was mine.
GLORIA: Praise God, hallelujah! Wonderful! Praise God! Thank
you, Jesus. MALE: Thank you, Jesus. Praise God. I came

Be healed in the name. Receive your healing. Be made whole. Be

This Incredible Charleston Penthouse Can Be Yours for $16,500,000 | Great Estates | Southern Living - Duration: 4:07.We're going to Charleston.
Yay.
Land of me.
(both laughing)
So we're going to check out a sprawling penthouse apartment
on Broad Street, so it's nearly 9,000 square feet.
You get 360 degree views of the harbor, the Atlantic Ocean.
It will cost you 16.5 million dollars.
Okay, so.
(Betsy gasping)
But, square footage. Hefty price to pay.
Not the life I pictured,
but definitely one I'm willing to try out.
Wow, so look at the views right there.
That's amazing.
On the rooftop terrace,
that's worth the $16.5 mil right there.
Absolutely,
especially somewhere like Charleston.
You can probably see--
All the steeples, all the peoples.
All the water.
Delightful.
Oh, see you would never know you were in Charleston.
No, yeah.
Where is the warmth?
Right, I can't, yeah.
I'm conflicted, because on one hand it looks grand
and elegant and love it.
But on the other, like I just don't feel like I'm
Charleston when I look at this photo.
Throw some big rugs in there,
some warm colors, you can warm it back up.
So this is the salon.
The grand salon.
You could have some intellectual conversations in here.
Great for parties, you could leave the tile
and not put in rugs if you wanted it to just be spill proof.
Yeah, I mean I'm not gonna lie, as a dog owner
I'm like it does look easier.
(both laughing)
Like I'm less stressed already.
The most formal, the formalest.
I do love the chandelier, that's kinda fun.
Yeah, I like how it's whimsy
and you have these very like handsome, serious walls.
I don't know that I would know I was in
Charleston, but maybe that's the fun part.
That's true.
Maybe it doesn't look like.
Cause all you have to do is step out your door
and then you see it.
Yeah.
Love a chef's kitchen.
Okay, this seems a little homier.
Yes.
Even though it's so big and grand,
I think that the brick really warms it up
and the little arch on the windows.
You know you get a little more character in this space.
And I'm a big fan of a double island.
Business in the front, party in the back.
Something like that.
(both laughing)
A very chic mullet.
Oh St. Michaels.
Wow.
So that's a pretty great view
to remind you that you're in Charleston.
Yeah, you're not gonna forget it there.
No.
That is truly incredible.
Oh my gosh.
Oh my God, wow, I'm anxious.
Aah, and I love looking at myself in the mirror.
Me too.
And even this is too much for me.
In this private space just.
(Betsy laughing)
I just want there to be some wallpaper or something.
So the master suite is 1500 square feet.
That's bigger than my entire rental house.
I mean I don't know if
I'm responsible enough to manage that large of a bedroom.
Neither am I.
But for the people who live there, I'm sure it's quite nice.
Yeah.
You can run a little marathon in there.
Wow.
We have two words for you, platform tub.
I have two words for you, big fall.
(Katherine laughing)
I know.
Slip fall.
Yeah, I was about to say.
As a short person, I am nervous about the bathtub.
(laughter)
And those mirrors don't overwhelm me quite like
Yeah that seems a little more reasonable.
The bathroom.
I mean only on one wall.
(Katherine laughing)
Just one.
Just one wall.
More mirrors, so many mirrors,
all the mirrors in this house.
But, I guess in the closet it makes sense.
I wonder what is up with that?
Is there a railing above the closet doors?
Do you see that?
Oh yeah.
What do you think that is?
I don't know.
But, gorgeous closet.
I could not fill it up, but I love it.
I guess this one feels lighter and brighter
because you can just
Swing out onto the terrace.
But it also feels a little generic, you know?
Then again maybe that's
This just hit my day gestating, so, yeah.
Oh, okay.
Oh wow.
Hey Carnival Cruise.
(Katherine laughing) I know.
I feel like you would have to get
a cabana boy or something.
For sure.
Ding ding. Yeah.
I'm ready for my piña colada.
Maybe you just get like a blender,
do it yourself.
(laughter)
Wow.
Problem solved.
To be honest, if I'm gonna be in Charleston,
I kinda want a good ol', like I want to do the full
classic single house thing, but
I'm with ya, and again,
the platform tub, it's just a deal breaker.
It's risky.
It's a risky move.
(music)

Brexit 2019 - Good or Bad for your Business? - Duration: 4:32.- In this video, we're gonna be talking about is Brexit good
or is it bad for your business?
If you're new here, make sure you hit subscribe
so you're notified when we bring out great new videos
so I'm Jameson Clair, I'm a UK business owner
and we're actually in one of my businesses right now
which is a tourist visitor attraction here in (muffled)
and to talk about Brexit, I've got together two great guests
and we're gonna meet them right now.
Hello, I'm James Brexit Sinclair.
And I'm James Remain Sinclair.
From a foreign affairs point of view, I love a Brexit
because I think we can do
world trade organisation trade agreements
around the world which is really gonna boost UK (muffled).
As a Remain man, I'm part of a community of 500 people
and I can trade for free and not have to pay any (muffled).
But sovereignty's really important for me
and when we leave the EO, we can make our own laws.
We can have our own courts, we don't have to go to Europe
to ask for anything.
We can be our masters of our own destiny.
But if we remain, we prove that the UK
still has its own sovereignty.
For example we can take on the Euro
and what we really wanted to opt out of things
that we don't like,
they've always let us do it.
As a Brexiteer, I'm really into security.
We can control our borders far more when we're outside
of the block.
I disagree, when it comes to security if we remain part
of the European Union with our partners in countries
in the block, we can discuss
with them really smart security plans
which I believe will strengthen our security.
As a Brexiteer, I get very angry about our money.
I'm fed up with money being invested into the European Union
and not getting a great return for our United Kingdom.
I'd rather use that money and invest it into the UK PLC
by creating more jobs and investing in businesses
and lowering taxes.
Yeah, you say that but I believe Europe invests billions
back into the United Kingdom both in the public
and private sector and by working as part of the block,
we actually increase our money so I think you're wrong.
Ah, well, I just don't agree especially when it comes down
to trade.
Being a part of this European Union block,
this control means that we can't do deals and trade
with the rest of the world like Japan
which is fast-growing economy, the South Americas,
the Indias, the Chinas, we need to be thinking global
not European.
That's all that lot the Brexit lot go on
about global Britain.
What about European Britain?
These are countries that are actually on our doorstep
that we're already trading with
and we can do free trade deals already
with our European partners.
But for British businesses at home,
when we're inside this European Union,
we've got more bureaucracy, more red tape,
and it really slows down the wheels of business.
I wanna remove that and make business easier
for British business owners to do business faster, quicker,
more efficient.
Here we go again.
Look, I believe that the free trade deals that we can do
in the European Union actually help smaller companies
in Britain to grow and do things quicker
without all the paperwork.
He's wrong!
So, guys, as UK business owner
hopefully you've seen the for and against
for this Brexit thing that's gonna happen.
My real, real opinion is, this is my honest opinion,
I think it's all a load of hot fuzz because I think
after the 29th of March or whenever it happens
in three months, six months time, whatever actually happens,
I mean I am an entrepreneur in this country
and I'm gonna deal with whatever the fallout is
and I think there's opportunity whatever happens
so that's my big message to you, you know,
it's all about a mindset thing.
If you got the correct mindset,
there is gonna be a situation happening,
you can get through it.
You'll get your business through it
but if you're in the (muffled) whether it's for, against,
whatever happens, then you're gonna be in trouble.
Plan for both scenarios, think positively
and actually make business development happen.
There's always opportunities.
I grew our business, the fastest it ever grew
when we went through the deepest darkest recession
of the last 30 years and we'd done more possible deals
and I think whatever happens with Brexit,
there's gonna be some great opportunities
for the people that actually make the right stuff happen.
Be entrepreneurial, think about innovation,
and you'll get through.

Ford Motor Company Issues Recall For Steering Wheel Coming Off While Driving - Duration: 5:21.Ford Motor Company has announced the recall of more than one million vehicles in the United
States due to a defect that could cause the steering wheel to become unbolted while the
driver is driving.
It took a long time for them to actually get around to what's amazing to me, they had early
reports, this is bad, this is happening.
What amazes me about these recall stories is when you look behind how long it takes
them to get there.
Most of the time you have several deaths involved, you've got clear testimony, "Yeah, I was driving
my car and the steering wheel thing happened."
They have the investigators look at it, but it'll be years.
Well, it's a money issue, isn't it?
I mean when they recall it's a money issue.
In this particular case this is a Ford and it was basically ... what model was it Farron?
The Lincoln MKZs and the Ford Fusions are the first two.
And we always know it's going to expand, it's going to get bigger, there's going to be other
Ford models, probably GMs, Jeeps, all kinds of things added to it, and it's a bolt.
It's a bolt issue.
Yeah.
This reminds me a lot, and we'll get more into the Ford in a second, but this almost
seems like a carbon copy of the ignition switch recall that we saw, which was one of the most
massive vehicle recalls in modern history, and it was because of a piece in the ignition
switch that cost $2.13 I believe.
And I guarantee you that this bolt issue was probably $2 or less.
Well let me talk to you about a story that we've done a couple times, and that's the
Takata exploding airbag.
This is a similar kind of issue.
What people don't understand ... I started this by saying, why does it take so long?
Here's what happens.
In modern America you have CEOs moving through.
Used to be a CEO would stay with the company could be 20 years, it could be his entire
working career.
They'd come out of MBA school, they'd go to work with this company and there were there
for a long time.
What's happened now is you have this term it's called quick profits and big risk, I
mean it's literally a term that you hear in the vernacular.
And so, big profits and huge risk means this, if you're CEO what you're doing is you're
timing your stay there at that company to maximize your benefits.
You're trying to get your stock interests up, you're trying to get your retirement plan
up, you're trying to do as much as you can with that company, get those numbers up.
Most of the time they're on about a five year, three to five year kind of segment.
So what ends up happening is that person who's in office at that time, who's the CEO of the
company at the time, and this company Takata great example.
Why did they wait so long in the Takata airbag that was blowing up sending shrapnel through
people's brains killing them?
Why did they wait so long on Ford Pinto?
Think about that.
Ford Pinto the gas can was blowing up, they had done a calculation, we can kill this many
people, burn to death in the Ford Pinto, we can kill this many people and at the end of
the process it's going to cost us this many dollars, but we're going to sell this many
cars.
So it's kind of a ghoulish process.
That is the norm for CEOs nowadays.
That is how they approach a case like this.
And that's why we're seeing these recalls sometimes a year, a year and a half after
they should be.
Absolutely.
And you know these models, this goes back, they're starting in 2014.
Right.
So they've been putting these defective parts again into the steering wheels.
There have been at least two reported accidents from this of people's steering wheels while
you're driving down the highway coming unbolted from the actual vehicle itself.
Again, to me a lot like the ignition switch issue where your car you can't do anything,
the steering wheel locks and you're just going down the highway.
Well imagine you're going down the highway and suddenly your steering wheel's in your
hand not in the dashboard, there's nothing you can do.
And to me though the bigger story is how long they know about it, how long it takes them
to act, and all this happening is management is timing themselves.
Can we get out of here in management before this problem found?
We see it in pharmaceutical cases all the time.
A new drug's on the market, it's killing people by the hundreds, the CEO makes his exit to
where he gets all his money, passes it onto the next person.
Well and see that's also probably part of the reason 'cause we know they use the same
parts for dang near every car that they manufacture, that's probably why right now we're only seeing
it in the two vehicles 'cause those are the two that have been reported in the accidents.
Right.
Since nobody has died yet they can push it a little further on the other models.
That's exactly right.
So that one CEO or whoever's in charge right now maximize those profits, then the next
person steering wheel pops off and they die, well time for me to [inaudible 00:05:15] my
golden parachute and I'm out of here.
Cash in on it, yeah.
Cash in on stock profits and get out of there.
Yeah.

Oscars Won For Less Than 20 Minutes Of Screen Time - Duration: 10:33.There are some stars who've showed up onscreen for just a handful of minutes, yet still managed
to snag acting's most prestigious prize.
Often, these are supporting actors who steal the spotlight in a few seconds, but at least
one leading man won his Best Actor award for barely any scenes at all.
Some popular films stand the test of time, while others fade into obscurity.
Sadly, Shampoo falls into the latter category.
This 1975 satire tells the story of a hairdresser, played by Warren Beatty, who's juggling multiple
women while trying to open his own salon.
The movie was a major hit at the time, raking in nearly $50 million at the box office.
It also impressed the members of the Academy, as it nabbed four Oscar nominations.
However, the only one to go home with the gold was Lee Grant, an actress who was on
screen for just around 18 minutes.
Grant won the Oscar for playing Felicia, a lonely housewife who's trying to keep her
adulterous husband's attention while conducting her own affair with Beatty.
Felicia is whiny, wealthy, well-dressed, and simultaneously lustful and lonely.
Even though she's only onscreen for about 17 percent of the film, it was enough to impress
the Academy.
This was Grant's third shot at Oscar gold, after getting nominations for Detective Story
and The Landlord, and she finally won the prize that night.
Sadly, despite her award-winning performance, it seems Shampoo has been scrubbed clean out
of the pop culture consciousness.
The Silence of the Lambs isn't your typical award-winning film, but it shattered all Oscar
expectations by becoming the first proper horror movie to win the Best Picture Oscar.
It was released in February 1991, and 13 months later, it somehow crushed all the more award-friendly
films released during Oscar season.
Most importantly, it's one of only three films that have won the big five Oscars: Best Picture,
Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actress, and Best Actor.
Crazier still, that Best Actor award went to a man who was in the film for a mere 16
minutes… but every second he's onscreen is absolutely electric.
Anthony Hopkins beat the likes of Robert De Niro and Robin Williams to win the Oscar for
his turn as the sophisticated psychopath, Hannibal Lecter.
Years later, people still talk about his performance and quote some of his most iconic lines:
"I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti."
From the moment he appears on screen, Hopkins radiates pure evil.
While he rarely raises his voice, he commands every scene he's in, and with his unblinking
eyes and perfect posture, he totally unnerves audiences.
Sure, Hopkins only shows up for 14 percent of the film, but every death-rattling, bone-chilling
moment is worth its weight in Oscar gold.
"Yeah...that was good.
Pity about poor Katherine, though.
Tick tock tick tock tick tock."
After earning a Best Actress nomination for Rachel Getting Married, Anne Hathaway got
her second shot at Oscar gold with Les Miserables, an epic musical set in 19th-century France.
Hathaway shows up for a mere 15 minutes in a movie that runs nearly three hours long,
but while she only appears in nine percent of the film, she won the Oscar for Best Supporting
Actress.
Hathaway threw herself into the part completely, losing a shocking 25 pounds and cutting all
her hair off.
She even went so far as to study prostitution, and hearing the sad stories of modern-day
sex workers took a major toll.
Then there's the performance itself.
Whenever Hathaway opens her mouth, she's singing at the top of her lungs, and on top of hitting
all those crazy notes, she's also acting her heart out.
She's desperate and lost and trying to survive.
She's angry and hyperventilating and falling apart.
Once again, she's doing all of this while singing, and her rendition of "I Dreamed a
Dream" is absolutely devastating.
In short, she definitely deserved that award for breaking our hearts in just 15 short minutes.
In the '80s and early '90s, Kim Basinger found frequent work in films like Never Say Never
Again, The Natural, and Tim Burton's Batman.
But in 1995, she took a break from acting for a couple of years until director Curtis
Hanson tracked her down.
Hanson was adapting James Ellroy's neo-noir novel L.A. Confidential, and he thought Basinger
would be perfect for the part of Lynne Bracken, a hooker sex worker with a heart of gold who
also looks a lot like Hollywood legend Veronica Lake.
Originally, Basinger wasn't interested in the part, as she was sick of playing characters
defined by their sex appeal.
But Hanson convinced her to take the role, and Basinger made Lynne Bracken more than
just a blonde bombshell.
Even though Basinger is only in the film for 15 minutes, she makes the most of her limited
time, sharing intimate moments with Russell Crowe and telling off Guy Pearce with a powerful
monologue.
"I see Bud because he doesn't know how to disguise who he is.
I see Bud for all the ways he's different from you."
It was a standout performance that caught the attention of the Academy and earned the
star an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress.
During the 2000s, Woody Allen kept himself busy, directing at least one movie every single
year.
Almost all of those films have been completely forgotten by time.
Vicky Cristina Barcelona has pretty much suffered the same fate as the rest of Allen's films
from that era, but there is one little detail that's saved the movie from total obscurity:
it features an Oscar-winning performance from Penelope Cruz.
In fact, Cruz won a truckload of awards for her turn as María Elena, the fiery and suicidal
ex-wife of a womanizing artist.
She only shows up for 15 minutes, but she crushes it in every single one of her scenes.
Whether she's defiantly speaking Spanish, wildly trying to shoot Javier Bardem, or making
out with Scarlett Johansson, Cruz is the star of the show.
Even though she was up against some major competition from the likes of Amy Adams and
Viola Davis, it should come as no surprise that Penelope cruised to victory thanks to
those stunning moments.
Alan Arkin is one of those actors who should've won an Oscar long before he finally did.
The man was nominated twice, and he had plenty of other powerful performances in other films
as well.
Thankfully, Arkin got his well-deserved trophy at the 79th Academy Awards for his performance
in Little Miss Sunshine.
In a movie filled with amazing actors, Arkin stands out as the larger-than-life Edwin Hoover.
He's a dirty old man with a foul mouth, a fondness for drug use, and an incredibly grumpy
disposition.
But while Arkin earns plenty of laughs with colorful language, he also tugs on the old
heartstrings in scenes like the one when he tells his tearful granddaughter that she'll
never be a loser so long as she tries to accomplish her dreams.
"You know what a loser is?
A real loser is someone so afraid of not winning, they don't even try."
Even though he's only in the film for a scant 14 minutes, he proved he was definitely a
winner when he snagged that Oscar.
1976 was an incredible year for film and an even better one for supporting actors.
Network, Marathon Man, and Rocky all featured powerful supporting actor performances, but
when the votes were all tallied up, the little gold statuette actually went to Jason Robards
for his commanding turn in All the President's Men.
Compared to his competitors, Robards' performance as Washington Post editor Ben Bradlee is incredibly
understated.
He's a prickly perfectionist, an editor who drives his reporters hard and callously edits
their work.
But the man's heart is in the right place.
Sure, he's brash, but he just wants a solid story, reporting that'll withstand the scrutiny
of everybody from Joe Schmoe to the president of the United States.
"I can't do the reporting for my reporters which means I have to trust them.
And I hate trusting anybody."
Robards is only on screen for about 14 minutes, but that was more than enough to impress the
Academy.
They say good things come to those who wait, and that's especially true for Jack Palance.
The Hollywood veteran was nominated for Best Supporting Actor in 1952 for his performance
as a murderous husband in Sudden Fear.
Sadly, Palance didn't win that year, but he got a second chance in 1953, earning another
nomination for his work as a black-clad gunslinger in Shane.
But once again, Palance was robbed of Oscar glory, and he would have to wait nearly 40
more years before getting that gold.
Palance would finally get his due thanks to his performance in City Slickers, a 1991 comedy
that follows three city dwellers who spend a vacation at a dude ranch.
During their quest to become cowboys, they meet a grizzled old ranch hand by the name
of Curly Washburn.
"Did you see that guy?
That's the toughest man I've ever seen in my life."
Palance is only on screen for around 12 minutes, but his tough-as-nails performance would nab
him that Best Supporting Actor Oscar.
"This man owes you an apology."
Judi Dench is perhaps the most British woman who's ever lived.
Everything about her just radiates nobility.
So it's no wonder that Dench won an Oscar for her performance as Queen Elizabeth I in
Shakespeare in Love.
Even though she's only onscreen for three scenes, it's a role she was born to play.
Whenever she stands, every knee bows.
She's commanding and demanding.
Her humor is biting, and her words cut to the bone.
"What do you love so much?"
"Your majesty…"
"Speak up girl, I know who I am."
But beneath that powdered, powerful exterior, there's a woman with a love for theater and
a sympathy for our star-crossed lovers, William Shakespeare and Viola.
Alternately hilarious and powerful, Dench only appears in only eight minutes of the
film, but she owns all of them.
A complicated royal and a deus ex machina rolled into one, Dench's Queen Elizabeth is
worthy of both allegiance and awards.
"I thought you were here because you had none."
In 1976, director Sidney Lumet created one of the darkest, most brilliant satires ever
put to film: Network.
The film holds up with incredible performances, but Beatrice Straight made Academy Award history
by winning Best Supporting Actress with just five minutes of screen time.
Straight plays Louise, the jilted wife of a TV executive.
When her husband confesses to having an affair with a younger woman, Louise gives a hell-and-brimstone
sermon that no preacher will ever match.
"I'm your wife dammit, and if you can't work up a Winter passion for me then the least
I require is respect and allegiance!"
Both embarrassed and filled with righteous anger, she lays into her husband hard, ripping
him apart for his philandering before breaking down and admitting how much he's hurting her.
And as icing on the acting cake, she ends the scene actually feeling sorry for her husband,
knowing that his new affair will just leave him feeling a lot of grief.
All in all, Straight only shows up in Network for five minutes and 40 seconds.
To this day, no one has beaten Straight's incredible record, and chances are good she'll
hold onto that honor for a long, long time.

Two Catholic cardinals say homosexuality is to blame for sexual abuse committed by priests Daily M - Duration: 4:04.Two Catholic cardinals say homosexuality is to blame for sexual abuse committed by priests Daily M
Two Catholic cardinals claim homosexuality is to blame for the sexual abuse scandal engulfing the Church not the clerics themselves.
American Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke and German Cardinal Walter Brandmueller wrote in an open letter on Wednesday that the approach to the paedophilia crisis was wrong.
They argue that criticism of clerical power did not address the primary fault which was a corruption of the absolute law, including by the plague of the homosexual agenda.
Pope Francis has previously analysed the problem as a structural and cultural one which he calls, clericalism.
American Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke left and German Cardinal Walter Brandmueller right wrote an open letter to the heads of the bishops conferences on Wednesday
We turn to you with deep distress! The Catholic world is adrift, the American and German cardinals wrote in their letter to the heads of the bishops conferences.
Sexual abuse is blamed on clericalism. But the first and primary fault of the clergy does not rest in the abuse of power but in having gone away from the truth of the Gospel, they said.
They blamed a corruption of the absolute moral law, referring to homosexuality, which they described as the denial, by words and by acts, of the divine and natural law.
The plague of the homosexual agenda has been spread within the church, promoted by organised networks and protected by a climate of complicity and a conspiracy of silence, claimed the cardinals, who belong to the churchs conservative wing.
Pope Francis greets the faithful during his weekly general audience in the Paolo VI Hall at the Vatican on Wednesday
Cardinal Raymond Leo Burke left attends the annual March for Life in Rome, an anti abortion demonstration in 2015
The Catholic church considers the practice of homosexuality to be a sin.
The letter comes a day before Pope Francis opens a historical summit at the Vatican on the protection of minors in a bid to end a scandal which has dogged the Roman Catholic church for decades.
Burke and Brandmueller criticised Francis, saying they were among those who in 2016 presented to the Holy Father certain questions... that have not only not had any response, but are part of a more general crisis of the faith.
They called on the head bishops to raise your voice to safeguard and proclaim the integrity of the doctrine of the church.
Cardinal Burke is seen as being at forefront of the conservative wing of the Church and has previously clashed with Pope Francis publicly over homosexuality and feminism.
According to the , Burke has stated that those priests who perpetrated abuse on children, were feminized and confused about their own sexual identity.

But her husband found the post and is now terrified somebody will work out its about him, so is threatening to divorce and sue her.
She posted an update on the website, explaining that he say the post after it went viral and somebody shared it on .
She writes: My husband saw my post and says he wants to leave me and sue me? Says he wants an annulment and is considering suing me for defamation of character.
He says its only a matter of time before someone leaks his name.
He saw the post through an old friend of his who knew he had a micropenis and saw on his FB that he had just gotten married.
He doesnt know who else the guy has told to link him to it. I feel like I am the a asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk . He is crushed that I posted about him.
She also reveals that she finally confronted him about the micropenis, asking why he didnt tell her earlier.
She wrote: I confronted him last week about intentionally keeping this from me and he said he was sure I would leave him if I knew about the size prior to the wedding.
And that he wanted to talk before the wedding but feared it being called off because of his micropenis and said if both families found out/gossiped about it he would be crushed.
Which is basically what I did with the entire world via reddit, but he didnt know this until last night because I never told him that I posted on reddit when we talked.
The womans second post had mixed reactions from other users.
Many still had no sympathy for the man, claiming it was his fault for not being open about it in the first place.
One commented: I usually would feel bad for the person in this situation, in fact I do understand his want to not become two families laughing stalk, but he still tricked this woman into marrying him while withhold information he knew would effect her decision.
Another added: Now that you know he intentionally hid it from you, the best thing for you to do would be to leave him. He tried to trap you into marriage without telling you something that is honestly very important. Theres no limit to what else he will hide from you to manipulate you. Seek the annulment yourself and talk to a lawyer, even though I dont think he has any grounds for a defamation lawsuit.
But others felt sorry for him, and many pointed out he would probably see her second message as well.
One wrote: Oh man this is actually making me feel edit: somewhat bad for this dude now.
The womans original post quickly went viral after being shared thousands of time on social media.
It read: Newlywed husband 32M wanted to wait til marriage for sex and just surprised me 27F with micropenis on the honeymoon.
So, we only dated for six months. Weve been engaged for another six and just got married on Saturday.
I literally just got back from my honeymoon a couple hours ago.
My husband isnt a religious guy, he just says he is old fashioned like that.
We got close to fooling around a couple times but it never went far. I tried, but he always stopped after it went too farr.
Anyway, fast forward to now...
Am I the a asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk for reading into this and being upset that I waited until my wedding night to find out that he probably isnt as old fashioned as he says he is?
Im not going to shame him and honestly I dont even know how Ill broach the topic and Im not seeking advice .
I honestly just acted like nothing was out of the ordinary and went to town with him, but...I dunno. I kind of feel lied to. Like a halftruth...or something was intentionally withheld from me.
This was unexpected, to say the least. And if you read this far, thanks for your time.
