Waching daily Aug 1 2018

hi everyone my name is Semirah Dolan and I do tech and lifestyle videos every

weekday but today we are talking about holochain this is another highly

requested video because out there right now there's a lot of people

comparing Holochain versus Blockchain and the Holochain family is telling

us we are not Blockchain basically so we're gonna do a walk through what

Holochain actually is I'm gonna I'm gonna do an intro what they are but I'm

also gonna end with some feedback because you guys know I always have an

opinion about these things I love to like hack it or see like some holes in

it um so keep watching and we're going to

talk more about Holochain

in layman's terms Holochain is basically the github of Blockchain so in the

blockchain world when a transaction goes out into the space every node and every

miner gets a transaction on to their personal system

what Holochain is doing differently is that each is that you as a user

basically control your own nodes just like in github you control..

control your own repo and then another similarity between Holochain and

github is that you are able to build your own whatever you want on github you

can build the website off of a repo an app you can literally build whatever I'm

so Holochain is a framework for building decentralized

apps fun fact right now if you want to invest in Holochain you can determine

that after watching this video but Holochain is trading right now for

like a hundredth of a penny Holochain is also an open source project so they

recently partnered or did some work with Mozilla and for those who don't know

Mozilla their main mission in the web world is to be an open source platform

and so Holochain coincides with that mission Holochain also has

Holo coins so they had an ICO it's an ERC 20 token but what's funny is for

their for their ICO... so an ICO stands for Initial Coin Offering. Holochain

wants to be unique and they called it Initial Community Offering because just

to keep it frank with you guys their coin is really based off nothing but an

idea it depends on the supply and demand and how many people actually develop on

their platform who else is like this I believe it I think it was Havven yeah I'm

pretty sure I think Havven with their "TAI" coins a lot of platforms out

there right now are building this dream or an idea and they're asking people to

invest in it and how lucrative their coin are their coins are really depends

on how many developers and how many people use their platform but don't get

me wrong Holochain has a use for their coins how I

mentioned earlier you can build your own decentralized app off of the Holochain

framework and so they also have to make things even more confusing they

also have a hosting company on top of Holochain called HOLO and if you

want to use HOLO you can pay for the service you can pay for the services

using HOLO coins so Holochain is basically combining all these ideas of

Technology from different things so for those of you familiar with BitTorrent

they have distributed hash tables how L took that idea and they took a lot of

concepts from blockchain and they added all these concepts to create what they

have as Holochain. Holochain has actually been in the works since I think

2009 when I originally started their project it was called meta currency but

now they're called Holochain and just to keep it a buck I feel like if

blockchain started early blockchain started like later than Holochain

the Holochain is still trying to become popular

they're obviously missing something and we're going to dig deeper into what

they're missing later in the video because I think there's some key there's

some key like soft skills but also like their tech that needs to be tweaked so

major difference at the Holochain people want us to know is the difference

between difference between data centric and agent centric Holochain is agent

centric and bitcoin is data centric so for a Bitcoin transaction to go through

the all the nodes are working out for this data that's sent out into the

system and Holochain is about that Holochain is saying they are

different because they are agent centric their consensus and security and all

these other aspects are based on the builders of their platform on on their

users so it puts a lot of it puts a lot of freedom in to developers hands now

another youtuber talked about this but I'm just gonna repeat it in regards to

Holochain but that is very dangerous to put all that decision and to

developers hands could be detrimental to the tech world's because

with blood chain and just this whole idea of smart contracts and what have

you as such a new a new technology when people are building on it they're bound

to make a ton of mistakes and so if you have a platform when people already have

so much freedom then it won't there won't be I don't think there would

be that much adoption to the technology which is why I think it's taken Holochain

so much time to gain just a little bit of more public attention and so you

may ask how is so with blockchain they have a consensus system where when I

tracks return I've already said this but when the transaction goes out all the

nodes and miners can determine whether or not this transaction is true or false

and the choose action happens occur accordingly with Holochain the

question may be how is there consensus when all transactions happen privately

so like I said earlier how the chain is leaving consensus and security measures

on the hands of their developers on the platform but they have this thing called

the immune system that they run and their distributed hash tables that reads

all the transactions that are happening so there there are distributed hash

tables is meant for is meant more for data storage then as a daniken system

than a consensus system so instead of their DHT checking whether or not people

are correct know checking whether or not a transaction is true or false what it

does more is it reads all this data and it determines how to call it an immune

system and the immune system determined to another something bad happening in

its system if that makes sense so it's like I don't know it's like gossip girls

you're just like listening to everything that's happening in a system and then

when something sounds off you're gonna stop it

so what happens is that the immune system sees that like a node over here

is clearly lying because one node over here has already used that

information here what have you then it's gonna stop that node

having anymore access to the network or what have you ideally this system needs to

happened really fast and I feel like something that's stopping the Holo

chain team is that this system is probably actually currently release well

with that being said let me take a little bit more about the Holochain

team so when I was doing research about what Holochain is because someone

approached me a few weeks ago saying like hey what do you think about this

platform so of course I can't provide my opinion until I do my own research so I

spent a few I spent a while every day digging into the Holochain platform

watching hours of videos of what this platform is and I got more information

from like outsiders than like inside the Holochain team and my

feedback to the team is that you need better marketing it's been 10 years and

no one really understands what you're doing you had a video out from maybe one

of your developers that was like in his house and he was describing what Holo

chain is if you guys have had if you have a budget to make like to sustain a

company for 10 years spend some funds and marketing so that

we can understand what you're trying to do if we can't understand what you're

trying to do then this technology is going to continue to like ride under the

wave of blockchain and not ever reach anytime any type of popularity and on

top of that I've watched like a one-hour video on one of year one of the Holo

chain reps that went to Mozilla to talk more about their platform and the whole

entire time the overarching theme of Holochain was that it's a platform

for social good one of the people in the audience at this talk was like ok I came

to this talk more because I want to hear about the technology I want to go a

little bit more low-level and deeper until what you guys trying to do but

overall Holochain is just giving everyone very high levels

ideas of their technology if you want developers to build in your space

explain to us better like what you want like what you're trying to do how can we

build in your platform because just by giving us high-level social good talks

and having your developers like give an explanation of what he's building

from his home I don't think it's that effective and you could definitely

figure out a better way to share your story yeah so that's what I think about

Holochain I personally have again this is not financial advice I have no stake or

I'm not in any way tied to Holochain I just did some in-depth research I

tried it like use their platforms so Holochain does have some sample like dApps

on their platform but they're very rudimentary and no way like a good

start to get developers on their platform so if you want more developers

in a platform maybe get some more or or better devs out but also get some better

explanations of what you guys trying to do in more low level explanations of

your technology I hope that was helpful for you guys please subscribe and give

this video a big thumbs up so we can do some more on tech lifestyle videos

coming up throughout this summer and besides that I have no idea what videos

are coming up next you just have to subscribe and watch have a nice day

everyone and

Welcome to MBBSCouncil - We guide students with strong desire to become a doctor

Tamilnadu State Medical Counselling for Management Quota MBBS seats for self-financing private

medical colleges was completed yesterday.

In this video, I am going to share Good News for students who were left out during the

first phase management counselling.

Before getting started I would like to remind you to subscribe to this channel if you are

first time visitor.

During the first phase only 2500 candidates were called from the general category.

For telugu and malayam minorty seats, all candidates who have applied for management

quota in self-financing colleges were called.

Eventhough most of the telugu minority and malayam minority seats were allotted, there

are about 128 seats in general category which were not filled during this first phase.

Because of this, the medical counselling is extented for another two days 3rd and 4th

July 2018 and additional 3750 candidates are asked to participate in this counselling.

If your state rank under management quota merit list is less than 6278, you should visit

the omandurar govt college in chennai for counselling.

Not all management quota seats are allotted through State govt medical counselling.

There are seats which are handed over to the college for allotment.

If your rank is more than 6277 you still have chance to study medicne, if you directly approach

the nearby private college at the earliest for admission.

The total fees would be between to 15 Lakhs/annum to Rs 20 Lakhs/annum.

If you cannot afford to pay high tuition fees, you can study abroad with less than Rs 4Lakhs

Wine tourism: 7 destinations in France for a relaxing stay among the vines

Travel.

Wine tourism: 7 destinations in France for a relaxing stay among the vines.

More than gastronomic delights and the joys of sumptuous settings, vineyards eager to attract wine tourists are increasingly offering well-being, spa, and beauty services.

A chance for travellers to enjoy great wines on a short break that leaves them restored both in body and mind.  BORDEAUX REGION Les Sources de Caudalie Hotel – Spa - Restaurant The producer of the eponymous beauty products range, Sources de Caudalie is behind this health and well-being destination amid the grand-cru vineyards of Château Smith Haut Lafitte at Martillac, in the Gironde.    Located just 20 minutes from Bordeaux, the officially recognised "palace" hotel offers an opportunity to taste some great Graves AOC wines, and to take advantage of its "vinothérapie" spa, which provides polyphenol, grape-seed treatments to restore the vitality of the skin.

Travellers can choose to soak in baths of vine leaves or grape marc, or opt for the purifying benefits of a merlot wrap.

This range of treatments is also available in another hotel managed by the Cathiard family, Les Etangs de Corot, located in Ville d'Avray not far from Paris.  BOURGOGNE La Cueillette Hôtel & Spa In the heart of the prestigious Meursault designation, the historic Château de Cîteaux is home to the Cueillette Hotel, which offers more than just an opportunity to savour the area's excellent chardonnays.

Wine tourists can also take advantage of the hotel's 500m² spa with its innovative "fruitithérapie" treatments, which are based on the moisturising and antioxidant properties of berries and red fruits, most notably the local Burgundy blackcurrant.

Body treatments on offer also make use of raspberries, strawberries and redcurrants, and well-being equipment at the spa includes a steam room, a jacuzzi, a sauna and a solarium with a view on the Meursault vines.

CHAMPAGNE Royal Champagne Hôtel & Spa Recently re-opened on July 15, 2018, the newly renovated wine country retreat figures high on a short-list of destinations offering exfoliating treatments with a view over the vines.

The recent upgrade of the Royal Champagne included substantial work on its 1,500m² spa, which offers signature organic treatments.

Guests can also make use of indoor and outdoor swimming pools, with spectacular views on the hillsides of the Montagne de Reims.

The spa also offers a steam room, a sauna, nine treatment cabins, a yoga studio and gym.

PROVENCE Coquillade Village Located in the heart of the Parc naturel régional du Luberon, this five-star hotel is surrounded by vineyards of the Aureto sub-region.

Travelers come to this retreat amid the vines for a relaxing break in a 1,500 sq m space entirely devoted to well-being.

The Spa & Wellness Center features Kneipp baths, ice baths, sensory showers, steam baths and saunas.

No detail has been overlooked -- there is even a pedicure service and a hair salon.

One of the luxury suites is equipped with its own private spa.  Villa La Coste   Adding to the attraction of its famous art and architecture park, the Château La Coste, close to Aix-en-Provence, has become a restorative break destination since the early 2017 opening of the Villa La Coste, a hotel composed of 28 villas, some of which are equipped with their own swimming pools.

The Villa La Coste Spa makes use of local Provencal products, notably jasmine, lavender and olives.  Château de Berne Hotel & Spa In Lorgues, visitors to the Châteaux de Berne and its 143-hectare estate will discover gastronomic delights as well as a wellness center built around an infinity pool with stunning vineyard views.

Inside, the 800 sq m spa offers a swim and message jet pool and a range of "Cinq Mondes" revitalizing treatments.

Yoga and relaxation packages are also available.  BEAUJOLAIS Château de Pizay The medieval chateau has long-been a destination for Morgon lovers on tours of the Beaujolais region, and now the four-star hotel established on an 80-hectare vineyard also seeks to attract health and well-being tourists.

Equipped with a swimming pool bordered by vines, the Château de Pizay spa offers a hydrotherapy pool and multi-sensory space with a waterfall shower, cold plunge pool, ice fountain steam room and sauna.

The treatments on offer, which are based on Thalgo products, are perfect for a moment of relaxation in the wake of a vigorous match on the hotel's tennis court.   .

JUST IN Obama Facing Federal Charges For Tapping Trump's Phones - Duration: 11:41.

JUST IN: Obama Facing Federal Charges For Tapping Trump's Phones

The mainstream media has spent the past year ridiculing Donald Trump for claiming that

Barack Obama spied on him during the 2016 presidential election.

Trump was finally just vindicated, however, when it was revealed that Obama did indeed

unconstitutionally spy on Trump during the election.

Freedom Daily reported that now, Lt. Col Tony Shaffer has revealed that Obama's wiretapping

was not only a federal crime, but also that this investigation will likely end with Obama

being hit with felony charges.

Shaffer called Obamagate an "order of magnitude" that was even bigger than the Watergate scandal

because the incident included "using nation-state resources for purposes of political gain."

When asked if Obama could be arrested for this, Shaffer said it would be the "first

time a former president could be indicted for a felony."

"I think it is very possible that he acted outside of the scope of his duties, responsibilities

and authorities to turn the resources of a nation-state on a candidate.

This is, as I've said before, soviet-dictator level wrongdoing," he added.

Shaffer explained that Obama used government resources to spy on Trump to try and get Hillary

Clinton in office, as he was hoping the wiretapping would produce enough "dirt" on Trump to

sabotage his presidential run.

Shaffer has had a lengthy military career and has risen to the top of the American intelligence

community.

Given his current senior position at the prestigious London Center for Policy Research, his prediction

about Obama has likely sent the president into full panic mode.

Obama had planned to make a return to politics this year to try and help Democrats win back

Congress in 2018, but this would completely derail that, as it would mean Obama wound

need to focus all of his energy on staying out of prison.

Facebook has greatly reduced the distribution of our stories in our readers' newsfeeds and

is instead promoting mainstream media sources.

When you share to your friends, however, you greatly help distribute our content.

Please take a moment and consider sharing this article with your friends

and family.

Thank you.

Cassper's sabotaging himself? This is what he has to say about that.

Cassper Nyovest doesn't have time to entertain claims that his career is about to go into freefall and has even tried to "break the curse" that haters wanna put on him.

Tsibipians were losing their minds online this week when a Twitter user predicted a "Nonhle Thema ending" for his alleged diva tendencies.   This was followed up by another user telling their followers that Cassper was sabotaging himself like Nonhle did before she left the industry.

Cassper Nyovest is well on his way of sabotaging himself like Nonhle Thema.

His downfall will solely be his doing.

— Gagashe  Cassper's fans were quick to defend their idol and point out that the Twitter prophets of doom have BEEN throwing Cassper away for a long time.

Others asked if the person was as hateful to American artists.

While the comments section got heated AF, Cassper stepped in all the way from America to address the hate and "reverse the curse".

Jose Mourinho is not expecting to get what he wants this summer, but the Manchester United

manager insists only bringing in one more player is not a drama.

The wheels have threatened to come off during the club's pre-season tour of the United

States, with the Portuguese becoming increasingly outspoken and irritated by a variety of matters.

Transfers are arguably chief among the issues as United have so far only managed to bring

in Brazil midfielder Fred, raw full-back Diogo Dalot, and third-choice goalkeeper Lee Grant.

Mourinho has freely admitted he wants another two new signings in a bid to launch an improved

Premier League title challenge by the August 9 deadline, but attempted to downplay the

frustrations of only getting one.

Mourinho gave United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward his list of five names a few months

ago, and is now playing the waiting game as the deadline creeps closer.

Imposing Leicester centre-back Harry Maguire, and Tottenham's Toby Alderweireld have been

strongly linked with a move to Old Trafford, as have a variety of other defenders.

Fred made his first United appearance off the bench in Saturday's 4-1 friendly loss

to Liverpool after enjoying his post-World Cup downtime.

Mourinho is still without a number of players, who reached the latter stages in Russia, and

made clear his preference that they cut their breaks early to aid preparations for the season

opener against Leicester on August 10.

The rescheduling of that match to a Friday compounded the United manager's frustrations,

over the early start date of a season that for the first time will see the summer transfer

window end before campaign begins.

Korea's exports surpass US$ 50 bil. for the fifth straight month in July - Duration: 2:21.

The South Korean government has released the figures for the country's exports in July,...

and it was the fifth straight month they surpassed 50 billion U.S. dollars.

The data show a recovery from the dismal figures recorded in June,... so this could be a sign

of strength in the local economy.

Kim Ji-yeon reports.

Korea's exports surpassed the 50-billion U.S. dollar mark in July... recovering from a dip

recorded last month.

The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy said Wednesday the country's exports recorded

nearly 52-billion U.S. dollars in July... an increase of more than 6-percent from the

same period last year.

This is a big improvement compared to June... when exports dipped by nearly zero-point-two

percent on-year.

Ten of the 13 main export items, saw increases... including petroleum and petrochemical goods,

steel, semiconductors, machinery and computers.

Semiconductor exports in particular increased for the third consecutive month in July surpassing

10-billion dollars,... the fourth highest monthly record ever.

Exports of computers also increased for the 16th straight month in July.

Meanwhile, exports in shipbuilding dropped by a staggering 73-point-4-percent followed

by home appliances which dropped by nearly 16-percent on-year last month.

Auto exports dipped for the sixth straight month in July, falling by 13-and-a-half percent

from July last year... as shipments to Korea's biggest auto export market the U.S. slumped

following U.S. import restrictions.

Exports to China and South American countries increased the most, growing by around 27-percent

and 23-percent, respectively.

Exports to the ASEAN region and India dipped due to increased local competition.

Imports also increased by more than 16-percent in July on-year to record nearly 45-billion

dollars.

The trade surplus for July was more than seven-billion dollars, it was the 78th straight month it

has been in surplus.

The ministry cites favorable economic conditions in the global manufacturing sector, increases

in gross domestic product among major economies and increases in unit prices of main exporting

goods for the strong export figures.

South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha is in Singapore for the ASEAN Regional Forum,...

and on the sidelines it's possible that she'll meet with her counterpart from North Korea.

Kang told reporters when she arrived, though, that no schedule has been set for that meeting.

Her week-long visit to Singapore will focus on South Korea's ties with the Association

of Southeast Asian Nations... and the Korean peace process,... which includes declaring

a formal end to the Korean War.

It's been eleven years since the foreign ministers of South and North have sat down for talks.

There's also the possibility of trilateral talks with the U.S. since Secretary of State

Mike Pompeo will be in Singapore at the same time.

David Johnson Fantasy Value: The Case For First Pick | Heavy.com - Duration: 10:19.

David Johnson Fantasy Value: The Case For First Pick | Heavy.com

David Johnson shouldn't need to remind people how great he was in 2016.

One-season wonder.

That's the phrase that David Johnson will fight in 2018.

Fantasy Football owners have short memories.

When one player dominates a season, they usually end up as the top pick the following year.

After having an historic season in 2016, Johnson was the easy choice as the top running back entering last season.

His season lasted just three quarters, as Johnson suffered a fractured wrist against the Lions, effectively ending the season before it even began.

Johnson is back in Cardinals camp for the start of the 2018 season, and is once again preparing to be the main offensive weapon.

But fantasy owners haven't seen Johnson play in over a year, and his season-long absence has knocked him down a few draft spots.

After Todd Gurley carried fantasy teams to a championship, and Le'Veon Bell proved to be a workhorse entering the final year of his contract, Johnson is something of a forgotten man at the top of drafts.

Let's take a look at Johnson's outlook for this season, and see if we can stack him up against the other top backs in the league.

Draft David Johnson First Overall.

In the first game of the 2017 season, the Cardinals visited the Detroit Lions.

After a four-yard pass to Larry Fitzgerald to start the season, David Johnson touched the ball five straight times.

On the next drive, the Cardinals went three and out on three straight Johnson touches.

I could do the entire game, but the focus of the 2017 Cardinals was clear: give the ball to David Johnson.

Bruce Arians is no longer the head coach in Arizona, but he'd be wise to stick to a similar strategy.

The Cardinals don't have a roster of talented backs.

They have David Johnson, and they plan to feed him as much as possible.

And the way the Cardinals are constructed, that might be their best option.

The same can't be said about other elite backs in the league, most of whom are on loaded offenses.

For the sake of this post, we're comparing DJ to other potential choices at number one overall: Todd Gurley, Le'Veon Bell, and Zeke Elliot.

You might have other options at first pick, but you'd be wrong.

Of those top picks, only Zeke and the Cowboys will be more individual than the Cardinals this year.

And although Zeke is a workhorse, the running ability of Dak Prescott limits Zeke's ability to catch passes when the protection breaks down.

Dak will run where Goff, Roethlisberger and Sam Bradford will dump off to their backs.

Anyway, back to the Cardinals.

Without DJ last year, their offense was not very good.

They finished the season 25th in scoring, averaging only 18.4 points per game.

Three quarterbacks started games, including Blaine Gabbert.

Somehow the team finished 6-2 in one-score games, a product of great coaching and a decent defense.

If you told me the Cardinals finished with eight wins last year I'd call you a liar.

Losing Arians hurts, but offensive coordinator Mike McCoy knows what he's doing.

He was Denver's OC for the Tebow and Peyton Manning eras, so he knows how to adjust an offense to cater to a team's strengths.

He's been more of a passing-oriented coach in the past (why wouldn't you if you have Peyton Manning), but he did have one injury-riddled season in San Diego where Danny Woodhead saw over 100 targets.

Sam Bradford is expected to start the season under center, and if he can stay healthy, he's a good fit for the Cardinals.

Bradford is as accurate as it gets in the short to intermediate passing game, ensuring more work underneath for Johnson.

Lastly, Johnson is not an injury-prone back.

And unlike most athletes recovering from season-ending injuries, Johnson's injury was to his upper body.

His speed and strength, normally a question when recovering from an ACL injury, are unchanged entering his comeback season.

If words can't convince you, maybe this video of Johnson squatting 500 pounds will get the job done.

Don't Draft David Johnson First Overall.

There are a few reasons we can knock Johnson off the top spot of your draft board.

The first is that despite the monster 2016 season, Johnson's success comes with a small sample size.

It's probably the smallest sample size of any top-tier running back in history entering their third season.

That's because DJ didn't catch on until late in his rookie season, and didn't get the attention of the NFL until a 200-plus yard performance against the Eagles in Week 14.

Johnson did post 2,000 total yards in 2016, but didn't post over 100 yards rushing in any game over the final six weeks of the season.

Johnson left the final game with an injury, but the Cardinals did lose three of those five games.

Given Johnson's slow finish and lackluster 2017 debut, there's a possibility that teams have figured out how to stop DJ and we just haven't seen it yet.

Then there's Josh Rosen.

The Cardinals used the ninth overall pick in the draft to take their quarterback of the future, and he's expected to start the season behind Bradford.

But Bradford is as brittle as they come at the position, and it's unknown how Rosen will transition to the NFL game.

If he starts, the Cardinals could lean on Johnson more, but it could also cause defenses to be a little more aggressive in containing him against an inexperienced QB.

Bottom Line: Johnson is young, rested, and playing for a new contract.

His team needs and expects him to produce, and he's the premier weapon in his offense.

If the Cardinals are winning, they grind the game with Johnson.

If the Cardinals are losing, they can climb back by dumping it down to Johnson against soft coverage.

If he stays healthy, he's a lock for 400 touches.

Guaranteed to go Top 3, and if he falls to you after the top spot you should be overjoyed.

Is the money-spinning Indian Premier League headed to SA?

Is the money-spinning Indian Premier League headed to SA?.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) chief executive Thabang Moroe has revealed that they would jump at the opportunity to host the money spinning Indian Premier League (IPL) if the event comes to South Africa next year.

Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) officials are considering an alternative destination for the hugely popular tournament as next year's competition could coincide with that country's general elections.

"If they were to propose to move it to South Africa‚ the easy answer to give now is yes.

"We would be interested in hosting the IPL‚" Moroe said after signing the MoU with South African Cricketers' Association (Saca) chief executive Tony Irish on Tuesday.

"There are various issues that are involved because we need to look at how much money would be given to South Africa.

"There are issues of wear and tear as far as our wickets are concerned‚ and our competitions because we are going to host the U19 World Cup in the next two years.

"Should we continue with our domestic CSA T20 Slam this year‚ the tournament will also add to the workload on the wickets‚ the fixtures and those are all things that we must take into cognisance before we make a decision.

"It remains speculation for now until such time that the government of India announces the date for elections.

"But‚ there is an appetite from them to move it to either South Africa or Dubai." If the tournament is played in South Africa‚ it will be making a return to the country since the 2009 edition won by the Deccan Chargers.

Speaking on the MoU with Saca‚ Moroe said it was a revenue sharing model that looks after the well-being of the players including women.

"We sat with Saca to negotiate our way through the document and getting things right.

We remained committed to the revenue sharing model‚ it was something that we never wanted to shy away from.

"And we have included semi professional players‚ as well the women.

We are happy as CSA to sign this document because it represents all cricketers in South Africa." Irish said he was happy that they have finally reached the end of the road after protracted negotiations.

"It has been a long road but we are at the end now‚" he said.

"That is significance because this locks down all the players arrangements for the next four years.

"It is important to have clarity for the players over a four year cycle in terms of planning and financial.

"There are three agreements here‚ one is recognition agreement with deals with the relationship between CSA and Saca.

"The second is the main MoU which deals with aspects relating to contracts‚ benefits‚ protocols and regulations and it includes women and semi professional players who are about 317.

"It is a revenue share model and it ensures that all players share in the upside.".

WTF is Warner Bros. Doing with the DCEU!? - Duration: 4:02.

a DC marbles are already created a blueprint how do you still not know what

you're doing

what if geek says we've all heard Warner Brothers in DC are gonna go ahead and

move forward with a joker origin movie personally I don't get it why not give

us a great Batman movie with a well fleshed out Joker then give us a good

Joker origin story but still a Joker origin story the big reason why Heath

Ledger's Joker is arguably the greatest comic book movie villain ever is

precisely because we never knew his origins in fact one of my favorite

things about him was the way he completely BS his back story he tells

gamble one story about how he got his scars or another like a discards my

father was a drinker and a fiend sticks the blade in my mouth

let's put a smile on that face later he tells Rachel a completely different

story is it the scars you want to know how I

got him so I had a wife who tells me I'm worried too much I stick a razor in

my mouth and do this now I'm always smiling after

he does this he becomes more interesting and it's precisely because we don't have

any clue as to who he is nor from where he came we know he's a deranged

psychopath dressed as a clown but we don't know why this give him an aura of

mystery if he came more than just a man anyway so this Joaquin Phoenix Joker

origin movie won't even be tied to the DCE news oh yeah but it will belong to

the world of DC whatever that means they're just being lazy they're trying

to make the easiest money off of DC fast as they can hey people like the Joker

right we should make you Joker orange story with Joaquin Phoenix swell that

sounds like a great idea but wait a minute

Jared littles already the Joker in the DCU bye go you're right gosh why does

this have to be so difficult Oh got it we'll just create this new thing called

the world of DC that way casual fans will still think is the DC EU then when

they find out it's separate from the DC EU we've already covered our ass because

hey it's from the world of DC not liking this DC sorry they've given us a tightly

interconnected universe that's fun exciting and quality now we expect the

same from you it's called competition bitch adapt as far as Phoenix playing

the Joker I think that's great in fact I think you should have been him from the

beginning in Suicide Squad Leto's Joker just didn't do it for me remember

Phoenix is rolling gladiator that acting was out of this world if he can channel

someone that into the Joker done deal but anyways going back to a villain

centric movie I just think that the villain should first be introducing the

respective superhero films then they can give us solo movies for example if we

have first gotten good DC movies that included the Joker Harley Quinn Killer

Croc Captain Boomerang - ah etc then gotten Suicide Squad it definitely would

the director more to draw from but it would have also created more interest in

the film itself that's what I think but so anyways what do you guys think do

villain centric movies make sense do you like the idea of a Joker origin story

and what do you think about the current state of the DC film franchise they did

just release the Aquaman is Shazam trailers after all and they were pretty

cool but we've been tricked before by DC but anyways just let me know what you

walking down in the comments and well geeks that'll do it for this video make

sure you hit the like and subscribe button so that you can stay up to date

with my equally awesome content and of course make sure you check out more of

SEEMED TO CHANGE TACTICS?

>> Reporter: THAT'S RIGHT,

THIS MORNING TRUMP PICKED UP ON

WHAT HIS LAWYER RUDY GUILIANI

SAID YESTERDAY, TWEETING THAT

COLLUSION IS NOT A CRIME.

BUT, REMEMBER, THAT IT'S THE

OPINION OF GUILIANI AND MANY

OTHERS THAT A PRESIDENT CAN'T BE

INDICTED FOR CRIMES ANYWAY.

SO THEY AREN'T EXPECTING TRUMP

TO HAVE TO DEFEND HIMSELF IN A

COURT OF LAW.

BUT WHAT THEY MIGHT BE PREPARING

FOR IS IMPEACHMENT WHERE THEY

COULD ARGUE TO CONGRESS THAT

COLLUSION IS NOT A CRIME.

IMPEACHMENT IS A POLITICAL

PROCESS ULTIMATELY FOUGHT IN THE

COURT OF PUBLIC OPINION WHERE

PEOPLE, INCLUDING CONGRESSMEN,

CAN BELIEVE THAT A CRIME IS OR

ISN'T WHATEVER THEY WANT TO

BELIEVE THAT IT IS OR ISN'T.

ANDREW?

>> Andrew: KEITH BOAG IN

WASHINGTON, THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

>> Ian: TURNING NOW TO ANOTHER

LEGAL BATTLE INVOLVING THE TRUMP

ADMINISTRATION, THE RACE TO STOP

WHAT SOME FEAR IS THE NEXT GUN

THREAT -- HOMEMADE WEAPONS MADE

WITH A 3D PRINTER THAT CAN BE

LETHAL AND UNTRACEABLE.

LATE TODAY THE U.S. FEDERAL

JUDGE BLOCKED THE RELEASE OF THE

BLUEPRINTS ALLOWING PEOPLE TO

MAKE THEIR OWN FIREARMS JUST

HOURS BEFORE THEY WERE SET TO BE

PUBLISHED ONLINE.

THE SUDDEN AVAILABILITY OF

INSTRUCTIONS WOULD HAVE MEANT

THAT ANYONE WITH A 3D PRINTER

CAPABLE OF THE JOB COULD MAKE

HANDGUNS AND EVEN SEMI-AUTOMATIC

ASSAULT RIFLES LIKE THIS ONE.

EVEN PRESIDENT TRUMP, A STAUNCH

DEFENDER OF GUN RIGHTS, SEEMED

TO QUESTION WHETHER THAT IDEA

MAKES ANY SENSE.

NOW WITH TONIGHT'S FEDERAL COURT

DECISION THAT MAY LEAVE THE

BLUEPRINTS IN LIMBO BUT THEY'VE

ALREADY BEEN DOWNLOADED

THOUSANDS OF TIMES.

STEVEN D'SOUZA NOW WITH HOW A

PLASTIC WEAPON HAS RESHAPED THE

GUN CONTROL DEBATE.

>> Reporter: WITH 200 3D

PRINTERS, THIS MANUFACTURING

COMPANY IN BROOKLYN

CAN MASS PRODUCE EVERYTHING FROM

PLASTIC MACHINE PARTS TO A

MYSTERY FLAG.

BUT THERE'S ONE THING THAT WE

WILL NOT DO --

>> WE WILL NOT PRINT ANY

WEAPONS.

>> Reporter: THEY BROKE THAT

POLICY TODAY TO SHOW HOW EASY IT

IS TO PRINT A 3D GUN.

>> AFTER A COUPLE HOURS OF

PRINTING AND GETTING THE PARTS

TO FIT TOGETHER YOU CAN HAVE A

WORKABLE FIREARM.

>> Reporter: IT'S UNTRACEABLE

AND ASIDE FROM AN OPTIONAL METAL

INSERT, IT'S

MADE FROM THE SAME MATERIAL AS

LEGO.

>> IF YOU WERE TO WALK THROUGH A

METAL DETECTOR WITH THIS RIGHT

NOW YOU WOULD NOT BE DETECTED.

>> Reporter: IN 2013,

SELF-PROCLAIMED CRYPTOANALYST

CODY WILSON INVENTED THIS 3 DRVE

PRINTED GUN, MEANT TO MAKE

FIREARMS MORE ACCESSIBLE.

THE FIVE-YEAR LEGAL BATTLE OVER

THE

RELEASE OF THE BLUEPRINTS ENDED

THIS DOWNWHEN THE TRUMP

ADMINISTRATION SETTLED THE CASE

THAT WOULD HAVE ALLOWED WILSON'S

COMPANY TO START PUBLISHING

AGAIN.

FROM A PISTOL TO AN AR-15.

>> WASHINGTON HAS FAILED US.

>> Reporter: NEW JERSEY WAS

ONE OF THE STATES THAT WON

TODAY'S INJUNCTION.

>> THESE ARE GUNS THAT CAN BE

DOWNLOADED FOR DESTRUCTION BY

ANYONE.

FUGITIVES, FELONS, TERRORISTS,

DOMESTIC VIOLENT OFFENDERS

AND THE MENTALLY UNSTABLE.

>> Reporter: EVEN WITH THE

INJUNCTION ANNOUNCED TODAY THE

PLANS ARE ALREADY OUT THERE AS

THEY HAVE BEEN FOR A WHILE,

AVAILABLE ON PLENTY OF OTHER

SITES.

>> JUST LIKE WHAT WE SAW WITH

THE MUSIC INDUSTRY IN THE EARLY

2000s IT'S VERY HARD TO

REGULATE THE DISTRIBUTION OF

DIGITAL FILES ON THE INTERNET.

>> Reporter: CASNER ADMITS

THEY

CAN'T CLOSE PANDORA'S BOX BUT

THEY HAVE TO TRY.

>> THIS IS AS MUCH A FIGHT ABOUT

THE FUTURE AS IT IS ABOUT THE

PRESENT.

AND WITH THE SPEED AND THE RAPID

NATURE OF TECHNOLOGICAL

ADVANCEMENTS WE'RE VERY, VERY

CONCERNED ABOUT THE PRECEDENT

HERE.

>> Reporter: HE SAYS THAT

FEDERAL LAWMAKERS HAVE TO FIND

OTHER WAYS TO REGULATE 3D

PRINTED GUNS.

BECAUSE AS TECHNOLOGY IMPROVES

THE DANGER WILL ONLY INCREASE.

STEVEN D'SOUZA, CBC NEWS, NEW

YORK.

>> Ian: TONIGHT THAT 3D GUN

COMPANY HAS AGREED THAT IT WON'T

POST ANY NEW BLUEPRINTS ONLINE

UNTIL SEPTEMBER WHILE THAT

MULTISTATE LAWSUIT MAKES ITS WAY

THROUGH THE COURTS.

BUT AS STEVEN POINTED OUT

ANYONE WHO KNEW WHERE TO LOOK

ON THE INTERNET COULD HAVE MADE

THEIR OWN WEAPON FOR SOME FIVE

YEARS.

AND THE U.S. GOVERNMENT

ADMITTED AS MUCH TODAY.

>> AT LEAST SINCE THE YEAR 2013

THESE C.A.D. FILES, THESE

COMPUTER-ASSISTED DESIGN FILES,

HAVE BEEN AVAILABLE ONLINE.

THEY'VE BEEN LEGAL FOR U.S.

CITIZENS TO ACTUALLY DOWNLOAD.

>> Ian: THE PLANS MAY BE

AVAILABLE BUT IT COSTS SEVERAL

THOUSAND DOLLARS TO BUY A 3D

PRINTER CAPABLE OF MANUFACTURING

THESE SO-CALLED GHOST GUNS.

AND YOU NEED TO HAVE SKILL TO

MAKE THEM.

SO MANY GUN ADVOCATES ARGUE THAT

IF CRIMINALS REALLY WANT A GUN

THERE ARE EASIER WAYS THAN

BUILDING ONE OUT OF PLASTIC.

>> THE REALITY IS THAT IT'S MUCH

EASIER TO GO AND BUY A GUN ON

THE STREETS.

>> Ian: AND THE DURABILITY OF 3D

PRINTED FIREARMS IS

QUESTIONABLE.

TAKE A LOOK AT THIS.

U.S. LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS

TESTED PLASTIC GUNS AND THEY

FELL APART AFTER A SINGLE ROUND

WAS FIRED.

>> THE TRUTH IS THAT MANY TIMES

THEY FAIL AND THEY BREAK AND

THEY'RE NOT VERY DURABLE AND

THEY REALLY DON'T WORK.

>> Ian: SO EXPERTS SAY THAT IT

ISN'T LIKELY THAT THERE WILL BE

A RUSH OF PEOPLE TRYING TO MAKE

THEIR OWN GUNS.

OF COURSE, IF THE PLANS ARE

ONLINE PEOPLE AROUND THE WORLD

COULD DOWNLOAD THEM, INCLUDING

IN CANADA.

IT'S WORTH POINTING OUT THAT

HERE IT'S ILLEGAL TO MAKE OR

POSSESS A FIREARM WITHOUT A

LICENCE.

AND OTTAWA IS KEEPING A CLOSE

EYE ON THE CASE IN THE UNITED

STATES.

>> WHAT IF YOU COULD QUITE

LITERALLY PHOTOCOPY A WEAPON AND

IT WOULD BE -- IT WOULD BE

USABLE TO -- TO CAUSE HARM TO

OTHER PEOPLE?

THAT IS A CRITICAL ISSUE THAT

LAW ENFORCEMENT AND GOVERNMENTS

ARE EXAMINING AROUND THE WORLD.

>> Ian: CANADIANS WHO MAKE THEIR

OWN 3D PLASTIC GUNS FACE

MANDATORY PRISON TIME IF THEY

ARE CONVICTED.

>> Andrew: WELL, IT'S BEEN

CALLED THE AIDS SECTOR'S "ME

TOO"

MOMENT.

THERE'S FINDINGS OF AN

INVESTIGATION INTO REPORTS OF

SEXUAL EXPLOITATION OF DISASTER

VICTIMS BY SOME OF THE VERY AID

WORKERS WHO WERE SUPPOSED TO BE

HELPING THEM.

INVESTIGATORS SAY THAT THE

SYSTEM IS RIFE WITH ABUSE AND

AID AGENCIES AREN'T DOING

ENOUGH TO STOP IT.

KATIE SIMPSON WALKS US THROUGH

IT.

>> Reporter: IN HAITI'S

TORMENT PERSISTED AT THE HANDS

OF THOSE SUMMONED TO HELP.

AIDE WORKERS PREYED ON THE

VULNERABLE WOMEN AND GIRLS AND

IT IS NOW CLEAR THAT KIND OF

SUFFERING IS NOT UNCOMMON.

>> WHAT WE HAVE FOUND IS THAT

THIS IS A WIDESPREAD PROBLEM OF

SEXUAL EXPLOITATION AND ABUSE.

WE THINK THAT IT IS ENDEMIC.

>> Reporter: A REPORT BY

BRITISH LAWMAKERS SAYS THAT

ABUSE BY AIDE WORKERS HAS BEEN A

PROBLEM FOR YEARS.

ORGINISATIONS ARE SLUGGISH TO

RESPOND TO CLAIMS OF WRONGDOING

TO THE POINT THAT IT APPEARS TO

BE COMPLACENCY VERGING ON

COMPLICITY.

THE STUDY RECOMMENDS MAKING IT

EASIER TO REPORT ABUSE, MORE

FUNDING TO SUPPORT

INVESTIGATIONS, AND DEVELOPING

AN AID WORKER REGISTRY TO SCREEN

OUT PREDATORS.

>> SOMETIMES PEOPLE GO TO OUR

INDUSTRY TO GET ACCESS TO THESE

PEOPLE.

WHAT IS VERY WELCOME ABOUT THIS

REPORT IS THAT RECOGNITION THAT

THIS NEEDS TO BE TREATED AS A

KIND OF LARGE-SCALE CRIMINAL

ACTIVITY.

>> Reporter: THE REPORT IS

BEING HAILED AS LONG OVERDUE,

BUT SOME ADVOCATES ARGUE THAT

THE ONLY WAY TO ACTUALLY START

CHANGING THE PROBLEMATIC CULTURE

WITHIN THE AID SECTOR IS TO

FORCE CHARITIES AND GOVERNMENTS

TO DO MORE TO COMPENSATE

VICTIMS.

>> WE NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT

THEY'VE GOT THE RIGHT TO

REPRIATIONS SO THEY CAN BEGIN TO

RECOVER FROM THIS AWFUL, AWFUL

ABUSE.

>> Reporter: BUT AID GROUPS AT

LEAST FOR NOW APPEAR TO BE

FOCUSING ON PREVENTION INSTEAD.

OXFAM IS PROMISING TO DO MORE

AFTER IT ADMITTED THAT SOME

STAFF HIRED PROSTITUTES WHILE

WORKING IN HAITI'S EARTHQUAKE

ZONE.

OTHER ORGINISATIONS HAVE PLEDGED

REFORM AS WELL, BUT LITTLE HAS

BEEN SEEN IN THE FIELD.

>> AT THE HEADQUARTERS AND AT A

VERY HIGH POLICY LEVEL, IT'S

VERY, VERY HARD TO TELL WHAT, IF

ANYTHING, IS REALLY CHARGE

CHANGING ON THE GROUND.

>> Reporter: THIS FORMER AID

WORKER

RUNS A PRIVATE FACEBOOK PAGE

WHERE STORIES OF ABUSE ARE NOT

UNUSUAL.

SHE IS HOPEFUL THOUGH THAT THE

PUBLIC CONVERSATION

AROUND "ME TOO" WILL FORCE THESE

AID GROUPS TO MAKE CHANGE AND

ENCOURAGE MORE WOMEN TO COME

FORWARD.

KATIE SIMPSON, CBC NEWS, LONDON.

>> Andrew: A FEW OTHER

DEVELOPING STORIES THAT WE'RE

KEEPING TABS ON, INCLUDING QUITE

A STORY OUT OF MEXICO.

A PLANE CRASHED AND IT WAS

DESTROYED BUT INCREDIBLY

EVERYONE ONBOARD SURVIVED.

NOW IT'S NOT TOTALLY CLEAR IF

THE AEROMEXICO JETLINER HAD

TAKEN OFF AND CRASHED OR JUST

RAN OFF THE RUNWAY.

BUT IT ENDED UP ON ITS BELLY AND

CATCHING FIRE IN A NEARBY FIELD.

THERE WERE MORE THAN A HUNDRED

PEOPLE ONBOARD BUT EVERYONE

SURVIVED THOUGH TWO PEOPLE ARE

IN CRITICAL CONDITION.

IT'S NOT CLEAR WHAT CAUSED THE

CRASH BUT THERE WAS APPARENTLY

BAD WEATHER AT THE TIME.

BUT THEY SAY THAT THE AIRLINER

WAS HADIT BY A WIND GUST AS IT

LEFT THE RUNWAY.

>> FOR SOMETHING LIKE THIS TO

HAPPEN AND YOU GUYS HEAR IT ALL

THE TIME, LIKE IT NEVER HAPPENS

IN MY NEIGHBOURHOOD.

HONESTLY, UNTIL I CAME AND SAW

IT I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT.

>> Andrew: IN CALGARY THREE

PEOPLE WERE FOUND DEAD IN TWO

SEPARATE HOMES.

POLICE FOUND THE BODIES THIS

MORNING AFTER RECEIVING A CALL

FROM SOMEONE TO CHECK IN ON

THOSE HOMES.

BEYOND THAT THEY'RE NOT SAYING

MUCH ABOUT WHAT MIGHT HAVE

HAPPENED EXCEPT THAT THEY

BELIEVE THAT THE DEATHS ARE

LINKED AND THEY HAVE A SUSPECT

IN CUSTODY.

WHY HEADING A SOCCER BALL MIGHT

BE RISKIER FOR YOUNG GIRLS THAN

THROUGH TO CARRY IT.

I CATCH MYSELF AT RANDOM TIMES

TEARING UP OR THINKING ABOUT

DIFFERENT THINGS.

SECONDS TO GET EVERYONE OFF, BUT

IN SEVERAL RECENT EMERGENCIES

SERIOUSLY INJURING 12 PEOPLE

BACK IN 2005.

EVER SINCE THE T.S.B. HAS URGED

TRANSPORT CANADA TO MAKE THE

WARNINGS ABOUT BAGS MANDATORY.

>> IF THERE'S A NEED TO EVACUATE

>> Reporter: AIR CANADA

ALREADY DOES IT AND WESTJET

TANGLED IN ROPE.

>>> FIRST WE BEGIN ON THE WEST

COAST WHERE AN ORCA IS TRYING TO

KEEP HER DEAD CALF AFLOAT.

RESEARCHERS SAY THAT THE CALF

DIED A WEEK AGO AND PROBABLY

LIVED FOR ONLY A FEW HOURS.

IT'S YET ANOTHER BLOW TO THE

DWINDLING POPULATION OF SOUTHERN

RESIDENT ORCAS.

AS BRIAR STEWART EXPLAINS IT'S

NOT YET CLEAR WHAT HAPPENED.

>> IT WOULDN'T MAKE SENSE THEY

WOULD BE SOMEWHERE OUT HERE...

>> Reporter: THIS IS HOW

TAYLOR SHEDD HAS SPENT MOST OF

HIS WAKING HOURS FOR THE PAST

WEEK, NAVIGATING THROUGH THE

SALISH SEA TO KEEP WATCH ON A

MOTHER IN MOURNING.

THE SOUTHERN RESIDENT KILLER

WHALE KNOWN AS J-35 HAS BEEN

PUSHING AND CARRYING HER DEAD

CALF WITH HER SINCE JULY 24th.

>> SHE STILL HAS THIS STRESS AND

THIS PAIN THAT SHE MUST BE GOING

THROUGH.

IT DOESN'T REALLY HIT ME UNTIL I

GET BACK TO THE OFFICE LATE AT

NIGHT AND I'M GOING THROUGH THE

IMAGES.

>> Reporter: SHE'S STILL GOING

THROUGH THIS EIGHT DAYS ON?

>> YEAH, I CATCH MYSELF AT

RANDOM TIMES LIKE TEARING UP.

>> Reporter: SHEDD SAYS THAT

WHALES HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO CARRY

THEIR DEAD OFFSPRING AND IT'S

BELIEVED TO BE A GRIEVING

PROCESS THAT SCIENTISTS DON'T

FULLY UNDERSTAND.

BUT TO CARRY IT FOR THIS LONG IS

UNPRECEDENTED.

WHICH IS WHY TEAMS FROM THE U.S.

AND CANADA ARE WORKING TO KEEP

WATCH ON THE WHALE AND OTHER

BOATS BACK.

>> IT'S PROBABLY A LOT MORE

DIFFICULT FOR HER TO

FORAGE WHEN SHE'S DOING THIS AS

WELL SO WE'RE CONCERNED ABOUT

HER BODY CONDITION.

>> Reporter: THE WHALES ARE

TRACKED BY BOATERS CALLING IN

SIGHTINGS AND BY AUDIO

RECORDINGS

LIKE THIS.

THEY'RE PICKED UP WHEN THE POD

MOVES

PAST SOUND EQUIPMENT UNDERWATER.

SOUTHERN RESIDENT WHALES ARE

ALREADY CLOSELY MONITORED

BECAUSE THEY'RE ENDANGERED.

THERE ARE ONLY 75 LEFT.

>> THIS LITTLE CALF WAS A GIRL

WHICH WOULD HAVE BEEN REALLY

BEEN IMPORTANT TO THIS COMMUNITY

FINALLY LETS THE CALF GO

RESEARCHERS HOPE TO RETRIEVE IT

SO THEY CAN FIND OUT JUST WHY

SHE DIED.

ON THE WATER EACH DAY.

>> Ian: NOW OFF THE EAST COAST

THE WHALE RESCUE TEAMS ARE IN A

RACE AGAINST TIME TO FIND AND

WHALE TANGLED IN A ROPE.

THE 10-YEAR-OLD WHALE WAS

SPOTTED YESTERDAY MORNING IN THE

BAY OF FUNDY.

THREE RESCUE TEAMS FROM CANADA

AND THE UNITED STATES HAVE BEEN

DISPATCHED TO FIND IT BUT FOG,

WIND, WAVES AND MECHANICAL

PROBLEMS HAVE BEEN SLOWING THEM

DOWN.

NORTH ATLANTIC RIGHT WHALES ARE

IN DANGER SO LOSING EVEN ONE IS

SIGNIFICANT.

IT'S ESTIMATED THAT THERE'S

FEWER THAN 500 LEFT IN THE WORLD

AND ONLY 100 REPRODUCING

FEMALES.

MORE THAN A DOZEN HAVE TURNED UP

DEAD IN THE GULF OF

ST. LAWRENCE.

AS TOM MURPHY FOUND OUT LAST

YEAR SCIENTISTS MAY BE DESPERATE

TO SAVE THEM BUT THERE ARE NO

CLEAR ANSWERS.

(*)

>> Reporter: IT'S A MYSTERY.

AT LEAST 15 NORTH ATLANTIC RIGHT

WHALES ARE DEAD IN JUST A FEW

SHORT WEEKS, LEAVING FEW CLUES

BUT CARCASSES LITTERING THE

SHORES OF THE EAST COAST.

A FRAGILE POPULATION THAT WAS

JUST COMING BACK FROM THE BRINK

OF EXTINCTION.

NOW A MYSTERY THAT NEEDS

UNRAVELLING.

>> WE'RE STILL TRYING TO HELP

THIS POPULATION RECOVER ONE

WHALE AT A TIME.

AND SO EACH OF THESE LOSSES

AFFECTS ITS POTENTIAL FOR

RECOVERY.

>> THIS IS A VERY DEPRESSING

SITUATION.

>> Reporter: THAT IS A

CRITICAL AREA AND HAS BEEN

CRITICAL FOR THE NORTH ATLANTIC

RIGHT WHALE.

WHAT'S HAPPENING THERE NOW?

>> WELL, THIS YEAR HAS BEEN A

YEAR WITH VERY FEW SIGHTINGS.

SO WE HAD A COUPLE DOZEN RIGHT

WHALES IN THE END OF JULY, EARLY

AUGUST.

AND THEN WE HAD A LOT OF SURVEYS

WITH NO RIGHT WHALES SIGHTED.

>> Reporter: THAT'S WHAT HAS

RESEARCHERS ON EDGE.

TO LOSE SO MANY WHALES IN ONE

SUMMER IS MUCH MORE THAN TRAGIC,

IT'S A CATASTROPHE FOR ONE

SIMPLE REASON.

FEWER THAN 500 NORTH ATLANTIC

RIGHT WHALES ARE LEFT ON THE

PLANET.

THEY ARE SOLITARY AND IN THEIR

OWN WAY MYSTERIOUS.

AND THEY DON'T GIVE UP THEIR

SECRETS EASILY.

>> WE'RE JUST LOOKING OVER THE

SURFACE OF THE OCEAN.

THERE IS MAGIC BY SEEING

THE BERGS BUT THERE ARE IS ALSO

TREMENDOUS MAGIC TO

SEE A WHALE SURFACE UP.

WE KNOW THAT WE CAN COLLECT A

LITTLE INFORMATION ON THAT WHALE

AND CONTRIBUTE TO OUR

UNDERSTANDING OF IT.

AND THEN IT DISAPPEARS AGAIN AND

WE'RE ESSENTIALLY JUST LOOKING

AT THE SURFACE OF THE WATER.

SO THE MAGIC LIES BELOW.

>> Reporter: NOW THERE'S AN

INTERNATIONAL EFFORT TO TRY TO

I'M SURE

THAT OTHER SPECIES DO THAT AS

WITH THE RIGHT WHALES.

I'M SURE THAT HUMPBACKS DO IT AS

THEY'RE NOT A SPECIES THAT GETS

South Africa milestone becomes a millstone for Dale Steyn - Duration: 6:09.

South Africa milestone becomes a millstone for Dale Steyn

South Africa milestone becomes a millstone for Dale Steyn.

Dale Steyn admits overtaking Shaun Pollock to become South Africa's highest wicket-taker has become something of a millstone around his neck but he is determined to prove he still has lot more to offer than merely claiming a 422nd test victim.

The 35-year-old paceman has been closing on Pollock's tally of 421 wickets for a couple of years but, limited by injury to three tests since November 2016, has managed only to reach, not pass, the milestone.

Having proved his fitness on the recent tour of Sri Lanka, however, Steyn wants to get the record in the bag as quickly as possible and move on with the rest of his career.

"Actually, it's like a bit of a burden now," he told Reuters in an interview.

"I hope it just gets out of the way and we can just carry on.

Because there's more wickets in me than 421.

I have got 500 plus on the horizon so I don't know why we are so consumed on one number.

"When I am bowling it's like 'you're gonna get there, you're gonna get there'.

I know I am, but I'm not interested in getting there," he added.

"What I am interested in doing is performing well for my country, taking wickets and winning cricket games.

"If I can do that, those records, that fame and all the other things you want with professional sport will come."   Steyn's 421 wickets have come in 88 tests at an average of 22.64 and he is regarded as one of the sport's greatest fast bowlers for his ability to take wickets in all conditions.

His injury problems began in December 2015, and about a year later he broke his right shoulder and tore three major muscles during the first test against Australia in Perth.

In January this year, he made a comeback after 13 months on the sidelines only to injure his heel when he opened the bowling in the first test victory over India at Newlands.

TOUGH GIG After another six months out, he returned for the two-test series in Sri Lanka needing three wickets to overtake Pollock.

He picked two in the opening test but went wicketless in the second.

Although Sri Lanka proved to be a tough gig for South Africa's fast bowlers in the 2-0 test series loss, Steyn was happy with how his body stood up to the challenge.

"I actually quite enjoyed Sri Lanka," Steyn said at a GoPro promotional event.

"The interesting thing is that lot of people have been saying he's injured, he's struggling and everything like that.

"But I probably just got through the hardest test of my career and I'm absolutely fine.

That's a plus in my book.

I am pretty pleased with that.

"I walked away from both of those test matches not leaving the field once or having any problems.

So the cloud of injury is, in my opinion, now gone."   And as eager as he is to get the issue of the record out of the way during the home series against Pakistan at the end of the year, he will approach his cricket as he has always done.

"When I started playing cricket I was always told 'don't play for money, don't play for fame, don't play for records.

If you are good enough it will come,'" he said.

"I thought that's perfect, I'll take that.

"I have played for 14 years.

That went quickly.

And in that 14 years came all of those things.

"If I have to sit there and focus on one thing like records, it will consume me.".

Guard murdered for protecting RDP houses from thieves

Guard murdered for protecting RDP houses from thieves.

Tshutsha Daniso was watching over new RDP houses being built in Bardale‚ Mfuleni‚ when he was shot dead on Friday night.

Daniso was guarding houses at the Siluncedo People's Housing Project and Ilitha People's Housing Project.

He died at the corner of Ibhola and Inqununu Street.

"Just as he returned from collecting firewood and sat on a chair‚ the thugs shot him dead‚" said Mashikwe Luzipho‚ who was on the same shift that night.

Luzipho said they were busy making tea.

Their colleagues were out patrolling the construction site.

"We have lost someone who made us laugh with his funny jokes throughout the nights… We will miss him‚" he said.

Vuyelwa Nqambuza‚ Luzipho's wife‚ said‚ "My husband pounded on my door‚ woke me up and asked me to phone the police… He said criminals are shooting us.

He was terrified." Nqambuza described Daniso as "quiet and kind".

Luzipho said he was "sweet and chatty".

Luzipho said they had been on site for a month.

Criminals attempted to steal anything they could from the newly built houses‚ including doors and windows while the cement was still wet.

They were most active between 1am and 6am.

"We chase and catch them before we hand them over to the project managers‚" he said.

Luzipho said he now fears for his life.

"We will stay in the shipping container and lock the gate at the site.

We won't chase after thugs again because they will kill us." Community member Mzikayise Moni said he heard gunshots while he was watching the lunar eclipse at his home on Friday night.

At about 7am on Saturday‚ Moni saw residents and cops gathered at the construction site.

"The police must stop being scarce around here and start to patrol on a nightly basis‚" he said.

"We have been experiencing theft of our building materials since 2015.

I report it to the police‚ but they are not helping‚" said a manager at the site‚ who did not want to be named.

Spokesperson for the Western Cape police Sergeant Noloyiso Rwexana confirmed a case of murder has been opened.

I don't have a fear for the Crusaders‚ says the Lions' Elton Jantjies - Duration: 5:38.

I don't have a fear for the Crusaders‚ says the Lions' Elton Jantjies

I don't have a fear for the Crusaders‚ says the Lions' Elton Jantjies.

Lions' talisman Elton Jantjies says the lessons‚ if not the pain‚ of two previous finals are the best preparation a team could hope for going into a third successive Super Rugby climax.

The Lions' talisman will line up for his third straight final with his teammates‚ following defeat to the Hurricanes in 2016 and the Crusaders last year.

"I don't feel pressure because we are prepared.

"We've been to two finals in a row‚ now a third.

"You can't ask for much better preparation for Super Rugby finals‚" said Jantjies.

He didn't want to dwell on what had been but eventually Jantjies had to relent.

"It hurts‚ if you're playing 20 weeks of rugby and you get into play-offs and a final and not winning it." he said about losing last year's final against the Crusaders at Ellis Park.

"Again‚ you are taking experience‚ learning from those mistakes.

"We went through a roller coaster this year with lots of on and off the field stuff‚" said Jantjies.

It will also be imperative for the Lions to learn from their misadventures in previous finals when they again square up against the redoubtable Crusaders this Saturday.

The Crusaders have played 20 play-off matches at home in Super Rugby and they've won them all.

"I don't have a fear for them‚" insisted Jantjies.

"The biggest thing for this group is guys have been learning in every match.

We have been together for three‚ four‚ five years.

"I always refer to the historical win that we got against the Chiefs (away from home in 2016).

That comes up in my mind every time." Jantjies refers to the unity and systems in the Lions group as factors that help them rise above their opponents.

"The things we've gone through as a group you can't describe.

We don't want to put pressure on ourselves.

"Everything is relaxed.

We just have to travel.

It's about getting the bodies fresh‚" said the flyhalf.

Jantjies was loath to be drawn into assessing his prospects against opposing flyhalf Richie Mo'unga.

In fact‚ he almost made it sound as if one set of robots will be trying to outmanoeuvre another this Saturday.

"We don't focus on individuals‚" he said.

"It is the Crusaders against the Lions.

"It's one system against another." He then conceded: "He is a quality player and loves space.

He's got quality players around him.

It is going to be a quality game‚ of that I can assure you of.

"It will be exciting as well because it is two teams that love scoring tries." Unsurprisingly‚ however‚ rain has been forecast for Christchurch this weekend which should make the match more of an arm wrestle for the respective sets of forwards.

"Obviously we'll have to change our game plan‚" he said.

"We are facing an All Blacks pack‚ and that will be challenging for the guys up front.

Our forwards have been producing quality performances.".

Chiefs coach Solinas an aggressive coach who strives for perfection‚ says Mphahlele - Duration: 5:06.

Chiefs coach Solinas an aggressive coach who strives for perfection‚ says Mphahlele

Chiefs coach Solinas an aggressive coach who strives for perfection‚ says Mphahlele.

Giovanni Solinas is an aggressive coach who strives for perfection and wants to win‚ Kaizer Chiefs defender Ramahlwe Mphahlele has said.

Mphahlele played down the impact that Solinas's late arrival – three-and-a-half weeks into the preseason‚ as Chiefs struggled to appoint a new head coach – might have on Amakhosi's season.

Solinas finally received his work permit on Tuesday‚ meaning the 50-year-old Italian will take his place on the bench in Amakhosi's Absa Premiership 2018-19 season opener against Mamelodi Sudnowns at Loftus Versfeld on Saturday.

"He wants to do things the way he wants and for the team to play the way he wants‚ " Mphahlele said.

"So it's difficult.

Change is not easy‚ especially at the beginning.

"But we are adapting.

We are doing everything in our power.

We're trying to work with him to say 'OK‚ this can be done‚ this can't be done'.

"We are working very hard.

Especially off the pitch where we have to try and iron out little things and try and fix the team.

"It takes time. It's a new era.

We lost our coach last season‚ now it's a new coach.

We have to try and get to a high level.

"Bur he's a very aggressive coach.

He wants perfection.

He wants us to work hard.

He wants us to change the mentality." Solinas's late arrival means the ex-Free State Stars coach will have had an effective three weeks to work with his squad and implement his style.

Mphahlele said he hopes that setback can be balanced out by Chiefs' players hunger to make up for their past three trophyless seasons – a barren spell that cost Solinas's predecessor‚ Steve Komphela‚ his job in April.

"Yes‚ we have a new coach.

But‚ look‚ the players are still the same‚" the Bafana Bafana right-back said.

"And of course most of the players who are there know what happened last season and they want to change the situation – that's the positive thing about it.

"With the coach coming in‚ of course he's got his own philosophy.

But we as players have agreed that we need to change things.

"So we just have to work with him.

I know he came in late; he wants us to do things this way.

But the positive part is that most of the players were there last season.

And they're still hurting from last season.

"And I just hope that pushes us players to do better." Chiefs have a tough opening two matches‚ following up their trip to Pretoria by hosting 2016-17 PSL champions Bidvest Wits at FNB Stadium on Tuesday (August 7).
