Why Man City defender Benjamin Mendy is back early - Transfer News Now #MCFC - Duration: 2:00.

The Manchester City defender was part of the France

side that won the World Cup just two weeks ago.

Benjamin Mendy was happy to cut short his holiday to get back to work under Pep Guardiola.

The Manchester City defender would have been forgiven for missing the pre-season tour given

his involvement in the France squad, that won the World Cup final less than two weeks

ago.

But the left-back was keen to return after a chat, with his manager as he continues his

recovery from an injury that saw him miss the majority of his debut season at the Etihad.

he said: "It's better for me," . "I prefer to take a few days' holiday and get ready

for the season and the future because I go with the national team and I didn't really

play.

"So it's better for me to make sure I get ready in a good way.

"I spoke with Pep and he tells me this is the best for me, and I know that he knows

everything.

I listen to him and it's better."

Mendy has been a key member of the squad despite barely playing thanks to his sense of fun,

but the Frenchman has a serious side and is determined to get back to doing what he loves

best.

Having won Ligue 1 in 2017 with Monaco and then the Premier League with City last season,

a personal treble is the target to continue a remarkable run of success.

"I want to play.

When you win one time you want to win a second time.

You don't want to stop.

"I am so, so, so excited for keeping going like this with the team.

"The shark team is what I said when we started.

We need to eat everything and that is what we do.

We need to keep going."

Pokemon Origins- What is Tsareena? - Duration: 3:10.

Yoo...its your boy Aegis back on that Pokemon *ISH.

When we think about the thicccest Pokemon, Lopunny used to come to mind.

But now we all bow down to the Queen Tsareena.

Hmmm...Don't those thighs just look tasty.

I wouldn't mind taking a bite out of the Queen of the Fruit.

Just look at those tasty hips.

Tsareena long legs looks pretty delicious as well.

I wouldn't mind being kicked by this beauty.

Whoa...what am I doing?

This series isn't for this!

Alright let's get serious.

Based on their wide bodies I would have to guess that Bounsweet, Steenee, and Tsareena

are based on some fruit.

Okay diving through Wikipedia I discovered that Tsareena is supposed to be a purple mangosteen,

a tropical evergreen tree believed to have originated in Indonesia.

Huh?

I kinda wonder what it tastes like.

Getting into the mangosteen, they're about the size of a tangerine, with an inedible

deep reddish-purple rind when ripe.

The fragrant white flesh inside is juicy, sweet, tangy, almost, like a peach.

My goodness that sounds delicious.

Yup, that connects perfectfully Bounsweet is known to be too sugary for human consumption,

(which is weird I might add) but it's sweat can be watered down into a juice with just

the right amount of sweetness.

A little fact because of the tree's susceptibility to cold temperatures, only a few trees have

been successfully grown in the U.S., in extreme southern Florida.

Alright that makes a lot of sense, Tsareena is native to a tropical region.

That's pretty interesting though I take it that the white parts of Steenee's body is

the fruit and the purple parts are the rind.

Even the green calyx was used to resemble pigtails, you got to hand it to Game Freak!

Now where did this Queen of fruit label come from.

As legend has it, Queen Victoria of Britain was once told about a divinely delicious purple

fruit, which grew in Southeast Asia.

The Queen made a promise to bestow knighthood to anyone who would bring it to her, but all

efforts failed.

The reason for this was that in the 19th century the journey from South East Asia took months

and the delicate fruit would eventually go bad before reaching Britain.

Crap I never know how to end these videos.

So I'll just leave things here who would of thought that Tsareena resembled a mangosteen

so heavily.

Yoo...its your boy Aegis back on that Pokemon *ISH.

If you enjoyed the video consider leaving a like they are greatly appreciated and until

next time.

LeBron James Says Signing With Lakers Is 'Dream Come True' - Duration: 1:18.

What's up, guys?

Frazier here for Complex News.

A lot is happening in the life of LeBron James at the moment.

Not only is he moving to the western conference, but he's also opening up a new school.

In a video posted on Twitter, King James spoke about founding a new elementary school and

also gave his first public message about signing with the Los Angeles Lakers.

LeBron talked about the "bittersweet timing" of it all because while he wants to be at

his new school on a "day-to-day basis," he will be moving to Los Angeles.

"This is kind of like a dream come true for me ... Being able to play for a historic franchise

with so much history, and now being able to partner with Magic Johnson, someone I kinda

like, looked up to when I was younger...for it to all come to fruition at this point,

I think timing is everything."

LeBron also mentioned "the excitement I have to be a Laker," and that he's happy to be

a part of the Laker legacy because of how historic the franchise is.

However, he realizes that the Lakers are best known for their championships, and he's on

the team to help make that happen.

James expressed his excitement about the opening of his new elementary school for at-risk children

in his hometown of Akron, Ohio—the result of years of work from the LeBron James Family

Foundation.

The I Promise School will currently serve third and fourth graders, but it plans to

expand to other grades in the future, according to ESPN.

What's more, students are also promised free tuition to the University of Akron beginning

in 2021.

Now that's a dream come true.

That's the news for now, but for all of the latest on LeBron James, subscribe to Complex

BBQ Season10 E99 Is The Bible Inerrant - Duration: 6:21.

Is the Holy Bible inerrant?

Most Evangelical Christians will hold to a statement of faith

that says something like

the Bible is inerrant

in all that it affirms

or all that it teaches.

To which I say, amen!

But what do we mean by that?

When I was a young Baptist pastor I really appreciated

the value for scripture that was being instilled in me

at the same time, as I read scripture

I was beginning to have questions that

that lead me in the direction of a different group, the Anabaptists.

A 500 year old group of Christians who have

often stood separate from both Catholics and Protestants

and eventually I was asked to come and speak

with the denomination of a church

that were looking for a pastor

the denomination was the Brethren In Christ

Now called Be In Christ Canada

and the church was what has now become The Meeting House

where I'm still the pastor.

As I began to investigate them

I mean starting from ground zero, steep learning curve

wanting to know more about these Anabaptists

I was reading their statement of faith

as I had been trained to do looking at the Bible

portion and I noticed that

when they talked about what they believed about scripture

they didn't use the word inerrant or inerrancy

and that pinged for me

with my evangelical radar

I met with the denominational leaders

and said why is the word inerrant not used here?

Does it mean that you believe the Bible is errant?

And you are liberals trying to

erode our trust in scripture?

To which they simply responded

no, we're Anabaptists and we don't tent to use that word.

End of story, no big deal.

You see, the rallying around the doctrine of inerrancy

as very central to modern day Evangelicalism

is something that had an important beginning.

It was a push back against creeping liberalism

and it came to a point in the 1970s

when a large number of Evangelical leaders

gathered together in Chicago and

worked on what became known in 1978 as

the Chicago Statement of Biblical Inerrancy

and that for many has become the rallying point

of what Evangelicals believe, but here's the thing

Anabaptists were never invited to that table.

We were not a part of that discussion.

We were off doing our own thing, having our own conversations

and so language was formed that just didn't include or way of thinking.

So Anabaptists don't tend to say that the Bible is inerrant

but we're not trying to say that it is errant either.

Looking at the Chicago Statement of Inerrancy

it says specifically

scripture is without error or fault

in all its teaching. Agreed.

A local Evangelical seminary where I teach sometimes

says the Bible is the authoritative, written word of God

inspired by the Holy Spirit

inerrant in all that it teaches.

Agreed.

But why don't we use the word inerrant?

Because Anabaptists, not having been invited to that table

not being involved in the those theological discussions

just simply turned to scripture

to say what does scripture say about itself

and we tend to use scriptural wording

to describe what we believe about scripture.

For instance

2 Timothy 3

classic passage about the Bible

in the Bible, says

all scripture is God breathed

and is useful

for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness

so that the servant of God may be

thoroughly equipped for every good work.

All of scripture is God breathed or inspired.

We say yes. This is God's gift to us.

It's God breathed and it's useful.

We should use it.

It's useful for helping us grow so that we will be

thoroughly equipped for every good work.

How we live our lives is what's most important

to an Anabaptist understanding of scripture.

It's given by God, it's God breathed

and we should always read it to say how can we be more like Jesus.

How can whatever we read in scripture change how we live?

And as I learned this from the denomination I eventually became a pastor in

I said that's good enough for me

that is a good course corrective

even for me who has a tendency to want to get involved in

the minutiae of theological argument

it was a good corrective to say

actually keep your eyes fixed on Jesus

read the Bible with a practical emphasis

for how you can become more Christlike.

This means that when Anabaptists

and Evangelicals look at different passages of scripture

we may believe similar things

but we will word our understanding differently.

For instance, what do we do with

Paul in 1 Corinthians 1 where he forgets

how many people he baptized

and originally says

he baptized no one and then says

oh, I baptized two people and then

says oh no, I remember I baptized an entire household

and then after that confesses

I actually don't remember, maybe I baptized more.

Do we say that this is errant?

That scripture isn't perfect or

do we say that scripture is perfectly teaching us

that only Jesus is perfect

and that God's spirit has worked through

imperfect people whose memories sometimes fail.

How about when Mark where in Mark chapter 1

says, let me quote the prophet Isaiah

and then he goes on to quote the prophet Malachi.

(Gasp)

Do we say, oh no, scripture is not inerrant?

Or do we say, once again

scripture teaches what it means to teach

which is that God uses imperfect people

with imperfect memories

to point us to the perfect Jesus

and that's what the Bible

means to show us and that's how God has inspired it

and in both cases the authors, Mark and Paul

go on to correct their mistake.

In all this discussion, one interesting thing worth pointing out

is the doctrine of inerrancy only

applies to the original autographs, or the original copies

which we don't have anymore

but we do have a number of early copies

enough to get us pretty close to what the originals would have said

but it raises the question

if God didn't preserve the originals

did his inspiring

preserving work of the Holy Spirit

apply to the copying process over hundreds and hundreds of years?

But that's another question.

Kim Kardashian's Hair Is Gone, and It Looks Good - Video - Duration: 1:46.

Remember that time Kim Kardashian went platinum blonde for Christmas? Well this is better, much better

After months of beach waves, arriving after a Met Gala-debuted slick straight half-up, half-down style and the candy pink tresses Kardashian preferred for her trip to Japan, the noted hair chameleon has a new look: a blunt, jet-black bob

It's the shortest Kardashian has gone yet, and coupled with a middle part and '90s-inspired face-shaping blow dry, perhaps the sleekest

Kardashian stepped out with Kanye West over the weekend to show off the new do, before taking it right to a charity poker tournament in the LA suburbs

Not only does the chop mirror the star's long-time minimalist aesthetic, but it's bound to keep her cooler in the California heat

Naturally, celebrity hair dresser and Kardashian's personal stylist, Christ Appleton, is very impressed with his work

Seems as though Kardashian is just as excited. We wait with bated breath as to what look she shall deliver us next

Wilmer Valderrama Is Visiting Demi Lovato 'Everyday He Can,' Shares a 'Strong Bond' With Her - Duration: 5:46.

Demi Lovato's Ex Wilmer Valderrama Is Visiting Her 'Everyday He Can,' Shares a 'Strong Bond' With Singer

Demi Lovato has the support of her ex-boyfriend, Wilmer Valderrama, after her apparent overdose last Tuesday.

Valderrama has been spotted visiting Lovato at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles multiple times, and a source tells ET that the actor has been by her side since the apparent overdose.

"Demi is getting better day-by-day with the help of her family, friends and Wilmer," the source says.

"He visits Demi every day he can, and has spent hours with her and her family.".

"Wilmer and Demi have always shared a strong bond, and Wilmer knows Demi better than anyone," the source adds.

"He's seen her highs and lows, and has always been there for her, and he knows she needs him now more than ever.".

Lovato, 25, and Valderrama, 38, split in 2016 after six years together, but have clearly remained close.

Last July, Lovato shared a happy photo with her ex at an LGBTQ party, writing, "best of friends no matter what.".

"After their 2016 breakup Demi and Wilmer remained friends, and he knows Demi was going through a lot, but he didn't know it was this bad," the source notes.

"Right now, Wilmer is just trying to be there for Demi and be a solid friend to her.".

Previously, a source told ET that the former That '70s Show star was "shattered" following Lovato's apparent overdose.

"They have mutual admiration for each other and he has and will always believe in her," the source said at the time.

"He's watched her fall and has seen her rise.".

Meanwhile, Lovato has yet to release a statement since her apparent overdose, though her rep noted on the same day as her medical emergency that "Demi is awake and with her family who want to express thanks to everyone for the love, prayers and support.

Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.".

ET recently spoke to Kelsey Grammer, who offered up his own heartfelt advice to the singer after his own public battle with addiction.

"Forgive yourself," Grammer said he would tell Lovato. "That's about it.

Somebody told me a long time ago, a pretty smart guy, said 'any kind of addiction is really the result of unresolved grief,' and that has held true for me as I've gone through life ever since and that's why I give that piece of advice.".

"And you can live a great life," the 63-year-old actor added.

"You can live whatever kind of life you want to live, you can be straight for 20 years or you can still enjoy your life the way you want to.".
