Senator portman, welcome back to

"Meet the press," sir.

>> Chuck, good to be on with you

again.

>> Let me start with the Michael

Cohen situation, because he is

now contradicting something that

Donald Trump Jr. Said under oath

to congress.

Whether it was under oath or

not, lying to congress is a

crime.

Donald Trump Jr. Told the

judiciary committee that he did

not tell his father about

anything of the trump tower

meeting before or after.

Michael Cohen is apparently

contradicting him.

Should Michael Cohen be called

before the judiciary committee

and clear this up, sooner rather

than later?

>> I think the Mueller

investigation is probably the

place this should be cleared up.

But, you know, that's up to the

judiciary committee.

>> If this is something that --

let me ask you this.

You as a Republican senator,

would you want to see the

judiciary committee sort of

clean this up since they have

gone down this road, or you

would say punt?

You would tell senator grassley

your advice would be leave it

alone?

>> Well, I think it's going to

be a he said/he said issue so I

think it's probably better that

this goes through the regular

process, which is ongoing,

chuck.

I think the Mueller

investigation ought to be

brought to an end also.

I mean we need to have the facts

lead to the right conclusion and

so I support the investigation,

I have from the start, but we do

need to wrap it up and, you

know, I'm not an expert on

Michael Cohen, never met the

guy.

I have been on the judiciary

Carpentry for Old Women - Duration: 7:54.

[music]

Welcome to Carpentry for Old Women

My name is Diane I live in a little town in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where we started

building a house 3 years ago I had designed the house I worked with the construction crew

doing the things that I could do was a rank beginner learning how to use my first power

saw.

I'm now working on the part of finishing hanging doors putting up trim building a deck I actually

actually am building a deck with the help of one other person almost nobody can do that

by themselves and I'm completing it by myself and I'm very proud of that.

I said before I'm in my 70th year and this is all new what I'm finding is that my body

actually is stronger than it was 4 years ago because I get up and down off the floor.

I'm better at getting up and down off the floor because I carry two by fours around

my arms are stronger if I had bare arms so I could show you how strong I am the whole

process is keeping me younger than I would be if I were retired looking around for something

to do if I didn't have this great big project I would be probably just eating my husband's

arm off so he's grateful for it.

I'm fortunate that I do have a strong body some of you listening to this don't so much

and you go I'm small and I have arthritis and and I couldn't possibly do that well yes

you can it just you may not carry two by fours around very much but they're all kinds of

things you can do that again having the right tools or really help you my knees are really

sensitive so I can't get down on my knees and do something and I sure can't squat like

an Umpire so I am either standing up or I'm sitting full on the floor.

Sometime I can demonstrate the spider like way that I have I'm getting up and down but

I'll spare you that for now I do moan and complain as I do it it is painful to do it

but I'm not damaging anything I'm actually making myself stronger.

I have courage yes you have more than you think you do I have a lot of determination

I hate being told that I can't do something I'm either not allowed to or that it's just

it's not appropriate for my gender I'm still mad about not being allowed to take shop in

high school so.

There's a little revenge in here somewhere.

I believe that there are lots of me's In the world I know there are some because

they walk by my house and they stop and talk to me doing this deck and they tell me what

they're doing and I'm stunned nobody asks us what we're doing.

We've been kind of dismissed as a market for tools.

I'm hoping through this video series and you being in contact with me to prove once and

for all that they only think we're not here because they never asked and I think we can

in the midst of having a good joyous time learning carpentry make a dent in that I want

to do some projects with you not this is not a how to video you need to watch people who

have been doing this for years and how to do it right I listened mainly I'd say to the

This Old House on YouTube I've been watching that show for 39 years yeah since it started

and so I watch a lot but anybody else that's got something there's this woman on YouTube

on how to video on how to hang doors.

That was at what I really used just just simple no-nonsense approach to it I want the first

project I want to do with you it's making sawhorses.

You may say why I'm your age and I've never cared about having a pair of saw horses before

it's because you need a place to work to do other things and what we'll show you is

something that can be stacked up Put in the closet you can use it for Christmas

wrapping I had saw horses that I used with a 4 by 8 sheet of plywood under it as a dining

table with linen tablecloth on it for about a year so you'll be surprised how much you

like these saw horses I will in the next video start with telling you the tool that you need

explaining why Each tool is very short list it's not expensive if you don't have anything

but in the short run I'm sure you can find some things to borrow to so you don't have

to spend money before you find out whether you really likes this so I want to have a

lot of fun and share that fun with you I make mistakes all the time but I haven't cut my

digits off yet so I think I'm off to a pretty good start.

Again welcome to carpentry for old women it would be great if you would hit subscribe

after watching this because then notices will come to you when I have the next video up

it also begins to say to the YouTube people yes we are out here yes we are and we will

watch this it's my understanding that subscribe and doesn't cost anything all you have to

do is hit that little button if you have YouTube and you haven't gotten the red you'll be seeing

a lot of ads which I just found two disconcerting so I spent a little bit of money that it takes

every month not to see any ads while I'm watching YouTube videos.

So also there will be a place for comments had at it have at it my favorite thing would

be to have more comments than I could answer.

Hope to see you next time bye bye.

Chelsea transfer news: Blues launch £40m bid for Juventus ace - but NOT Higuain or Rugani - Duration: 2:25.

The Blues have been linked with a host of Serie A stars since Maurizio Sarri's arrival earlier this month

The former Napoli boss instantly brought midfielder Jorginho to the club after he departed Italy

And Sarri seems insistent on raiding native champions Juventus before next month's transfer deadline

Chelsea have been heavily linked with moves for Gonzalo Higuain and Daniele Rugani in recent weeks

But according to Italian outlet Corriere della Sera, the Blues are now focusing most of their energy on a different Juventus star

Mattia Caldara is the name now being touted with a move to Stamford Bridge as negotiations for Rugani continue to drag on

Chelsea have reportedly submitted a second offer for the centre-back, expected to be around £40m

Corriere della Sera report Marina Granovskaia, who is in charge of the club's transfer dealings, met with Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici in Nice on Saturday to discuss a deal

However, Chelsea are facing competition from AC Milan.  Gennaro Gattuso's side are actively trying to sign both Higuain and Caldara this summer, in a double swoop which would see Leonardo Bonucci return to his former side

The deal gets complicated further still, due to Milan's ongoing interest in Alvaro Morata

The Spaniard looks destined to leave the Premier League after just one season as Serie A clubs circle

Eden Hazard, on the other hand, now looks set to stay at the club beyond the summer

4 points to consider BEFORE you look for a proofreader or editor - Duration: 4:18.

Have you ever thought about hiring an editor or proofreader? If you have, chances

are that your first port of call was the Google search bar, but then you probably

got about 8 million hits when you typed in something like 'I need a proofreader'

or 'looking for an editor', and that really isn't any help to anybody. So today in

this video I'm going to give you four things to think about to help narrow

down your search before you even type anything in that search bar. The first

question to ask yourself is whether or not you need an editor with specialist

subject knowledge. Depending on the field that you're writing for and the

prospective audience that you have, it may be necessary to have somebody who

understands the language and the concepts that you're using. This is

particularly true for maths, medicine, statistics and law, where small errors

could have serious consequences and it's vital that you have somebody with that

subject-specific knowledge to review your writing and make sure that any

small errors are picked up before it gets published. On the other hand, if

you're writing for a general audience it can be a great help to work with an

editor who isn't from your specific field. They can act as an advocate for

your prospective reader and make sure that your writing is accessible and they

can clarify anything that may be unclear to your prospective audience. Have you

ever heard of the curse of knowledge? Sometimes we forget just how much we

understand and know about a subject and make assumptions about what other people

know. Your editor will help you pitch your writing at the right level for your

audience. The second thing to think about is what sort of writing you're doing.

Depending on this you'll probably want an editor with experience in that

particular area, whether it's a PhD dissertation, a book, or an article, or

marketing copy, you want to know that you're working with somebody with

experience in that area. For example, some editors work exclusively with fiction,

others focus on PhD dissertations or journals, while others maybe have a

slightly broader portfolio but will still include the type of writing that

you're doing. The third thing to think about is what type of file you're

working in. Most editors are happy to receive a Word document and work in

Track Changes, and when we're at the proofreading stage it's common to use a

PDF so we can see the layout of your writing. However, if you're working in

more specialist software such as InDesign or Latex

it's really important that you state that clearly up front so you can be sure

that the editors who respond to your request for help

have those skills before they contact you. And the last thing to think about is

do you want somebody who is local to you? In these days of instant global

communication it absolutely isn't necessary to have an editor or

proofreader who lives just up the road from you. I have clients myself from

Brazil and Mexico to China. and all points in between and it doesn't matter.

We communicate via email, we transfer our files, and the process is very smooth.

However, you may have a really good reason for wanting a local proofreader

or editor. You may want somebody with specialist local knowledge, or you may

want to actually meet them face-to-face so that you can work with them in person

on your project. The important thing to realise is that the best editor or proof

reader isn't necessarily the one that lives closest to you. So if you're

thinking of hiring an editor or proof reader, help yourself by refining down

your search by specialist subject knowledge, by type of writing, by the type

of file you're using, and by location if that's important to you. Thanks for

watching! Don't forget to subscribe to this channel for more worry-free writing

Hi! Now that we had this "moon eclipse"

I took photos of it because sky was clear. But this bright northern night kind of spoiled a lot.

I managed to see and shoot only the few last minutes of the eclipse.

And they look like this.

So when I saw the moon, the shadow was that small.

I made an HDR out of these eight photos.

Choose all and make HDR.

And suddenly this combo turned yellowish.

As in from this colour to this colour.

But because this Darktable is not the best possible photo editor aka it can't auto align we see ghosts.

But we have Affinity Photo and it can auto align and much much more.

HDR merge.

Ok, now all eight raws are in there and everything is aligned.

And in this software the moon is not yellowish. So let's tune it a little bit.

So first we add some sharpness. Double the layer by pressing cmd+j and add unsharp mask.

And let's add some yellowish colour into it. At least it was so called blood moon, so it needs some colour.

A little bit of yellowish/brownish ocraish ground color.

And some cropping.

And a little bit of more sharpness. I choose high pass filter.

And change blend mode to overlay.

Okay, there we have the moon picture... of course we could add some more sharpness.

This is not the best possible eclipse photo because I could see only the end of the eclipse.

Too bright, it didn't last long enough, etc.

Next blood moon/eclipse is in november, at least I heard so, so I don't guarantee it.

But till then we gonna watch this photo and so on.

But we'll see in the next video and 'till that: good bye.
