Garrett McNamara: Change the Game for Kids | LWSA - Duration: 3:15.My name is Garrett McNamara, from Hawaii.
As an ambassador for Laureus it's such a special responsibility.
I'm so proud and honoured, that I'm able to live my passion
by sharing my passion with the youth through Laureus Sport for Good.
I had a very challenging childhood.
The worst part of it: We were walking barefoot around the United States with a blanket and a robe.
We literally had to go behind the big supermarkets and open up the giant trash cans to find food.
We had what we needed, but we didn't have things that we wanted.
And then we found a surfboard.
I went into the ocean, caught my first wave and it was like heaven.
Nothing else mattered.
It didn't matter if we didn't have all the food we needed.
Didn't matter if we didn't have a nice house, it didn't matter if I didn't have any friends.
I had the ocean. It instantly became my passion and my love, my everything!
One person that really left an impression on me, he was the best surfer at the time,
his name was Sean Thompson.
He quickly became my favourite surfer in the world.
He came to our local beach, Hollywood Beach, and he gave us shorts, surf shorts, and he gave us stickers.
And I, to this day, remember this so clearly.
He was the coolest guy in the world, the nicest guy in the world.
And all it took was just giving me a little gift and sharing a few words, and I was just in love with this guy.
Sport changed my life, sport gave me everything, I'm living my passion, following my dreams and working to inspire the youth.
The best way for me to change the game for the youth – I'd like to bring them to the beach and share with them my story, where I've started.
We have to respect the environment, because without the environment we do not exist.
The person who inspires me more than anything is my 4-year-old son.
His mission in life is to clean the earth.
Ever since I've heard about the EQC, it's all I wanted to be in.
I'm so happy and proud that we are now going to be driving electric cars, eco-friendly cars.
I'm working on changing the game for the future generations.
We have to be stewards of mother earth, stewards of the nature.

Canva Tutorial For Beginners - Duration: 8:30.hey guys and welcome back to expert influencer Academy and welcome back to
another tutorial series today I want to talk to you about the graphics program
canva CA and v8 now this is a great easy to use app and desktop program that you
could basically use to create social media posts we use it to create our
thumbnails we use it to create our cover photos we use it for channel art this is
a great alternative although it's limited it is a great alternative and a
free service and a free site to use and it's a lot cheaper than Photoshop and
things like that so if you're just getting started just getting started
creating content across your social media platforms canva is a great program
to learn how to use and so today what I'd like to do is I'd like to show you
the platform and actually make a thumbnail for this video can't a
tutorial alright so let's get started so the
first thing you want to do is you want to head over to canva.com and if you
already have an account there familiar with canva you can go ahead and just
sign in or log in but if you're new you're gonna want to sign up for an
account so let's go ahead and log in and get you behind the scenes here alright
so once you get logged in this is where all the fun happens and then if you go
through here you can see that these are all the different types of graphics and
promotional materials that we've been able to make with this camera over this
program has a free version and it also has a paid version but we make
everything with the free version and then if you really like a graphic and we
want to get the watermark removed a dollar to go ahead and purchase that
graphic so not too bad but as you could see you can make all kinds of designs
with this program so let's go ahead and let's create our first designs let's get
up here and we're gonna make a YouTube and then you'll see a pop-up right here
thumbnail now one of the great things about this is that it already loads the
dimensions you just have to fill the canvas hence the name canva so we kind
of have templates that we already use like this so I'll go ahead and throw
this up here and then it's super easy you just click on the graph if you want
to change and then you come up here to upload and we'll go ahead and upload an
image and then once that image is uploaded you're free to add the image to
your project so you can put this right here and then everything here you can
move it's all mobile and you can you know set it to however you want you can
change the color of these little things right here and there changing some aqua
to match the color and then we have all the texts
and fonts pre-populated but as you can see there are tons of examples for you
to choose from and then real quick if you wanted to change the background you
could just drag another color right here and immediately the background changes
if you want to do like some mountains this really has a lot of stuff and the
other thing that's really great is that it has all kinds of elements that you
can use so let's see what it has for itself for Canada
so you can see here that all of this and this is just drag-and-drop so I think
we'll actually switch this one out there we go we're gonna change this background
back to black
actually I like that it kind of matches the whole star so let's go ahead get rid
of this
then you can adjust the size of everything here so make this a little
bit bigger that we can grab it and actually make it right here and then
we'll go ahead and we'll go to text well add a separate text box here
I'll make some name change the color here to white so you see how easy this
is to use this super easy the interface is very easy it's very user friendly
that's uh
I'll change that to match
make this one a little bigger Oh too big
I'll make that one there slide this over and there you go
and that's pretty much it so this is done we will download this and guys that
is canva canva.com it is a great site and there we go that is our new
thumbnail ready for us to use this is a great site and a great way for you to
inexpensively make pretty decent looking graphics and pretty decent social media

Woman Searches For Father After Spending Years In Foster Care (Full Episode) | Paternity Court - Duration: 17:05.You may be seated.
Hello, Your Honor.
Hello.
This is the case of Markham-Love v. Tucker/Gholston.
Thank you, Jerome.
You're welcome.
Good day, everyone.
MARKHAM-LOVE AND TUCKER: Good day.
Ms. Markham-Love, you are here because you say
your childhood was a complete nightmare.
Wow!
You claim your mother, Ms. Nassiripour, lost you to foster care
and left you torn between two fathers,
including the defendant.
Now, Mr. Tucker, you say a bomb was dropped on you
when, years ago, you showed up to a court hearing
to gain custody of Ms. Markham-Love.
You claim that day
her mother delivered the news to you that you may not be her biological father.
(AUDIENCE EXCLAIMING)
Yes, Your Honor.
Now Ms. Markham-Love's other potential father, Mr. Gholston,
questions paternity and will hear the results
of both of the DNA tests shortly.
So, Ms. Markham-Love, please explain to the court
why was your childhood a nightmare?
I got put in foster care, had to live with complete strangers.
I don't have respect for
authority or anyone telling me what to do
or even Shereen.
I don't have a close bond with her.
I've been living from foster home to foster home.
I found out at 12 that Myron here, Mr. Tucker,
may not be my father.
Really?
Yes.
Now how did you find that out?
Shereen had told my grandma.
Ms. Nassiripour.
Ms. Nassiripour
told my grandmother and it was related to me.
And so when you heard that, what did you think?
I felt hurt and betrayed
and lost with emotion.
Did you ever meet the person they said
was supposed to be your biological father?
Yes, Your Honor.
I met him one time when I was 12.
He took me and my sister out to ice cream.
That was the only time I'd seen him.
I barely talk to him on Facebook,
but it's never been, "No... Oh, you're my daughter."
Nothing like that.
So, now, Mr. Tucker,
you obviously were under the impression that
this was your biological daughter as well.
TUCKER: Yes.
When I got a letter, (CLEARS THROAT)
a letter in the mail stating that my daughter was in foster care
and I went to Sacramento to go to court to try to get her.
Nassiripour stood up and said that I might not be the father.
(AUDIENCE GASPS)
So, you had no doubts in your mind?
NASSIRIPOUR: That's not true.
TUCKER: Yes, it was.
No, it's not.
Your Honor, that's not true.
When I was pregnant, I was four months pregnant,
I told Myron it could be between him and another man.
I never gave no names, he left me and went to LA, supposedly.
TUCKER: I did not go to... No.
When actually he was with his girlfriend
at the time that I was pregnant as well.
No, no, no, no.
I did tell him that it could be between two guys.
I didn't tell Brittnee because she's a child.
Right, but you're saying you were honest with him.
I was honest with him and Darnell Gholston.
Yes, I was. I'm hurt
just like Brittnee's hurt. Brittnee is torn apart.
TUCKER: No, but...
I didn't want her to know none of this until she was able to understand it.
My mom told her.
No, she should have known way before this.
Way before what?
Like when she was a baby.
No, you don't understand when you're a child.
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
A baby.
Maybe you don't understand.
No, I'm talking about a baby.
His suggestion is there should have been a test done years ago,
so she would grow up knowing who her biological father is.
Then pay for it then.
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
Pay for it.
I'm paying child support still.
Pay for it, if I would've known I would have paid for it then.
You knew when she was 12.
You said it still isn't done.
She is 22 years old now.
TUCKER: 12 years old, where was she at?
NASSIRIPOUR: In foster care.
So, I was more worried about getting her out.
Why didn't you get her then?
Why didn't you get DNA done, so you could have got her out of foster care?
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
JUDGE LAKE: So, listen, there's a lot of arguing going back and forth.
Why did you do the things for her to get in foster care?
If I was such a bad mom at that time, you should have done something about it.
JUDGE LAKE: All right, listen. Let's calm down.
Mr. Tucker.
Oh.
Back then when you say the test should have been taken,
did you consider taking one? Why didn't you?
I mean, that's kind of a good question.
Because I didn't find out...
Why not just say, "I'd like to take a DNA test."
I didn't find out that I was in question until the court date.
So, in your mind, you were the father.
There was no reason to take a test.
Exactly. That's the way I feel right now.
JUDGE LAKE: So, once you heard this in court,
did you say, "I'd like a test now"?
At seven years old...
TUCKER: No.
NASSIRIPOUR: Exactly!
So, at that point, why not?
(AUDIENCE EXCLAIMING)
You just said...
Because I feel in my heart that she's mine.
JUDGE LAKE: All right.
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
So, I see this is making you emotional.
I don't pity for him.
JUDGE LAKE: And you feel hurt because
you feel...
NASSIRIPOUR: He let is...
Ma'am, if you don't be quiet and let me get a question out...
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
Mr. Tucker, what is it exactly your feeling?
Frustration, or you are hurt for the girl you believe to be your daughter.
What is this you're feeling?
The hurt for my daughter.
I don't want her to be in this situation.
Ms. Markham-Love.
Yes, Your Honor.
Do you understand that this man,
whether or not he is your biological father,
he hurts for you because he knows what you've been through.
Yes.
We used to share the same last name.
And then I was adopted at 14.
He was on my original birth certificate as my father.
I have a transcript
saying that my last name used to be Tucker.
Jerome, let me see that, please.
And then I have a birth certificate
showing that my last name has switched.
I do not have the birth certificate when my last name was Tucker.
So, this is your school transcript.
Yes.
And it's showing that your last name was Tucker.
Yes.
And it wasn't until you were adopted
that it was changed to your adoptive parents' last name.
Exactly.
Was he involved in your life at all as a child?
Growing up, I was living in Bakersfield with him.
And then when I turned five,
we moved to Sacramento
and he continued to reside in Bakersfield.
When I got put in foster care at seven,
he was granted visitations with me,
and the last time I'd seen him was when I was nine.
And from nine to 16, I did not see him.
So, Ms. Nassiripour, he states he was on the birth certificate.
You agree with that? You did let him...
Yes, ma'am. He was there.
He was there when she was born?
Yes, ma'am.
And so when Brittnee says that,
when Brittnee says that...
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
...she lived with him at five years old,
she resided with us.
We had a place together.
JUDGE LAKE: Okay.
But at the same time, I just had Brittnee,
and she's a month old, his cousin comes over to ask where he's at.
I said I don't know, he's playing basketball.
He went and got married, and was at his reception.
So, that's when it all fell apart and I still accepted it.
JUDGE LAKE: So, wait, you all were living together as a family.
With a beautiful baby.
Yes, we were.
Yes, we were.
JUDGE LAKE: So, Mr. Tucker,
you supposed to be out playing basketball?
And where were you?
Wedding reception.
(AUDIENCE EXCLAIMING)
What?
There's a lot more to the story...
JUDGE LAKE: No, no, don't start talking soft now.
You were where?
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
There's a whole lot more to the story than what she is saying.
JUDGE LAKE: So, I just need to understand,
'cause I feel like we could be here all night
listening to what happened in this relationship.
But it's true that you were living with them as a family
and then you disappeared,
and that really meant you went and got married to someone else?
Yes.
(AUDIENCE GROANS)
How could you disappear like that
and go marry someone else?
NASSIRIPOUR: Not once, but twice.
You trying to put this on me, but...
Not once, but twice.
What are you talking about? You cheated on me with a pizza guy though.
You were in LA, you said you were living in LA.
She accepted it.
NASSIRIPOUR: I was in love with him
the whole time and I'm still probably in love with him.
How you in love... How you was in love with me
and you cheated on me with a pizza guy?
I didn't cheat on you. You weren't even there.
JUDGE LAKE: Let's just get it straight, Ms. Nassiripour.
So, this pizza man
is the other potential biological father?
What happened? Now you got emotional. What happened?
I did a lot of wrong in my life
and it's like whenever he left me...
Four months after we met, he said he's going to LA, he didn't go to LA.
He left me.
Mmm-hmm.
So a month later, I slept with Darnell, Mr. Gholston.
So, yeah.
JUDGE LAKE: I'm glad you clarified that.
It wasn't like I cheated on him.
It wasn't like he rang the doorbell with the pizza
and then you slept with him.
No, ma'am, no.
So, the bottom line is both of these men
you slept with during the time of conception.
Yes, ma'am.
And you yourself honestly don't know
which one is Ms. Markham-Love's father.
No, I do not.
And I was honest with Mr. Gholston as well.
I told him when I was, like, five months pregnant
he could be the possible father.
JUDGE LAKE: I see the pain in your eyes.
You're saying you admit you've made some mistakes.
I've done a lot of mistakes...
...Your Honor, I made a lot of mistakes.
But ultimately, I can tell you love your daughter.
I do love my daughter, but you know what,
I went to prison, I've done a lot of bad things in my life,
I forgave myself.
When I got out, I asked her for, you know, when she's ready to forgive me.
She said she did forgive me.
Apparently not, because now I'm Shereen, I'm not Mommy no more.
I had to earn that, you know.
I'm sure I had to earn that. I'm trying my best.
I do my best.
But if I was on drugs, and I was such a dope fiend, Myron,
then you should've stepped up and took her if I was doing so bad.
You shouldn't have let me take her.
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
So, Ms. Nassiripour, I see
even when you're talking, you're looking me right in the eye
but you barely look at your daughter.
Because I know she's ashamed of me.
She's ashamed of me and I love her with all my heart.
I love my daughter.
JUDGE LAKE: I can tell.
And that's why you are here.
She's my baby.
JUDGE LAKE: Because you're in court because you want to right your wrongs
and you want to support your daughter.
Yes, ma'am.
It's not for him, it's not for him,
it's for her, and her... And my grandson.
They deserve to know.
Ms. Markham-Love.
Yes, Your Honor.
Have you forgiven her?
At one time I did...
And you know, my mind gets racing
and I start thinking about all the other stuff and I have a son.
My son's gonna be three next month, so,
I know you can't be a parent
and not be in the same household.
Right.
I am not with my son's father.
I have a wonderful boyfriend who's been there helping me raise my son.
So, I know you can be a parent outside of the household.
And I feel that that was not there.
Ms. Markham-Love, as you look at these two pictures here,
who do you see of yourself?
It's like you're going back and forth between
Mr. Gholston on the left, and Mr. Tucker on the right.
As a child, what did it feel like to you?
MARKHAM-LOVE: Mr. Tucker is who I know
that has been there.
I've grown relationship with his kids.
I go out there for family reunions and everything else.
Mr. Gholston I don't know.
That was the only time I'd seen him.
JUDGE LAKE: Just that one time?
Just that one time.
In your entire life?
Whole life.
And that was 10 years ago.
JUDGE LAKE: Mr. Tucker, why is it that you just disappeared?
TUCKER: I didn't disappear by choice.
They had moved to Sacramento.
I didn't have no...
Well, there are planes,
buses, cars...
I didn't have... I didn't have no phone number,
no contact information at all.
Only way I got in contact with them
is when they sent me the letter
stating my daughter was in foster care, that was it.
And then when I was going to court
to do parenting classes and stuff, I get a letter
stating that my parental rights was forfeited.
'Cause you didn't want to do the classes.
JUDGE LAKE: And so...
You wasn't there, you don't know what I did.
I was there every week to see my daughter.
And if I couldn't make it, I called her.
And do you remember that time?
Yes, the last time I'd seen him, I was nine.
And I got put in foster care at seven.
So that was three years after I was put in foster care.
But from nine to 16, we had no contact.
You knew this man to be your father your whole life
and then you realize he may not be.
You don't really have a relationship with Mr. Gholston.
What do you hope for today?
I just want closure.
So, if Mr. Tucker is my father,
I know his family.
If Mr. Gholston is my father, I would want to know his family.
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
And how about you, Mr. Tucker? What are your hopes?
That she has closure.
I'm just doing this for her, so she'll know.
In my heart I feel like she is my daughter anyway.
JUDGE LAKE: Ms. Nassiripour.
What are your hopes today, ma'am?
My hopes today is for Brittnee to be happy
and know who her father is.
And like she says, she does know her brothers and sisters very well.
I don't hate Mr. Tucker.
I just wish that he would quit badgering me
'cause I learned... I know what my mistakes were.
And I deal with them every day of my life.
And to upset my daughter and have that...
It's more like hate towards me she has.
And I just want us to come together and be able to work it out.
Maybe one day she could forgive me.
(AUDIENCE APPLAUSE)
JUDGE LAKE: I understand.
Jerome, may I have the results please?
Can I say one more thing?
Yes, ma'am, you may.
The way Ms. Nassiripour feels, Mr. Tucker should feel the same way
'cause I do not treat them no different.
I think because of this not knowing has put the distance.
NASSIRIPOUR: You said you loved her, you said you loved her regardless.
I do, but not knowing, as a man, it does hurt.
So, why don't we put an end to the hurt?
Brittnee, I'm sorry, I really am sorry for keeping it from you.
Are we ready for the results?
MARKHAM-LOVE: Yes.
These results were prepared by DNA Diagnostics and they read as follows.
In the case of Markham-Love v. Tucker/Gholston,
as it pertains to the paternity of Ms. Brittnee Markham-Love,
it has been determined
that Mr. Gholston
is not her father.
And that was 10 years ago.
In the case of Markham-Love v. Tucker/Gholston,
as it pertains to 22-year-old Brittnee Markham-Love,
Mr. Tucker,
you are not her father.
(AUDIENCE GASPS)
Wow.
Ms. Nassiripour, that's a shocker.
Yeah, it is.
Are you okay, Brittnee?
I'll be fine.
I owe you both an apology. Sorry.
JUDGE LAKE: How do you feel right now?
Hurt, sad, angry.
The one thing I can say is
at least you know definitively
who is not your father
and I hope sincerely
that you're still happy you came here today.
Yes, I am.
Good.
And Mom, I know that it's going to be rough for you.
And you are going to have a lot of explaining to do,
and a lot of making up to do.
And a lot of talking with your daughter.
And you stand up, you take whatever you got to take,
you deal with whatever you got to deal with
and you help her, if she wants to try to find her biological father,
you help her, you understand?
Yes, ma'am.
Good luck to all of you.
Court is adjourned.
(BANGING GAVEL)
Jerome, can you please escort Ms. Markham-Love up to the bench?
Yes.
Listen,
sometimes as mothers we have the strength to do things
that we may not even have the strength to do for ourselves.
You know that feeling, right?
Mmm-hmm. Yes.
You can move a mountain, can't you?
(LAUGHS)
Right, right?
Yes.
So, I know this wasn't what you wanted
and the closure that you wanted didn't happen today,
but I do believe
you can get the closure you're looking for
if you just keep searching, all right?
All right, take care.
Thank you.

Apple Facing Multiple Lawsuits For FaceTime Spying & Planned Obsolescence - Duration: 9:36.The Apple Corporation is facing numerous different class action lawsuits right now on everything
ranging from two factor authentication to an eavesdropping bug that's actually been
found within their FaceTime software.
There's lots to discuss here and joining me to talk about it as Scott Hardy from Top Class
Actions.
So Scott, let's talk about the first issue here.
This one, again, I'm a little unsure of this one.
This is the two factor authentication.
People are arguing right now that this process takes a little too, too long, which as somebody
who's used it, it certainly does, but this may be an issue where the benefits of it outweigh
the costs.
So lay this, this piece out for us.
The class action is a, I have to actually admit it might be a little confusing because
they're saying about how it can, it can take a long time or take too long to log in using
two factor authentication.
And then it also alleges that Apple forces people into using two factor authentication.
And I think that last bit is what's going to be concerning about this because Apple,
from what I've seen, they don't actually force you to use two factor authentication.
They strongly, strongly, strongly, strongly recommend it and then they don't really show
you how, how you can not use two factor authentication when you do things like software updates on
your phone or you buy a new phone or system.
They really try to encourage you to use two factor authentication.
But from my personal experience when I've been doing upgrades for, you know, my kids'
phones and my own and my family's and we, we have been able to bypass two factor authentication.
It, you know, in some cases where you think it's not necessary.
You know, my daughter's iPod not really necessary, doesn't leave the house.
So I'm wondering if just on the basis of that, if this class action might have a real hard
time, because if Apple doesn't actually force you to do two, to use two factor authentication
then, and that's a big point of this suit that I'm not sure how far it will go, even
though I can understand that you and I have talked about before, that it can be annoying.
Yeah, absolutely.
And especially when you're considering the fact if you're using it on your phone and
then you need to get into your phone and then they have to email you this separate authentication
that you then type in.
Well a lot of people use their phone for that email so they may not be able to use that.
It, it is a bit of a hassle.
But you know, it also may be difficult to show that Apple is forcing this on people.
But, there's two other cases that I, I really want to talk to you about today and both of
these issues that a lot of us have dealt with, some of us didn't know we were dealing with
them, but, but this first one here is about the chargers that come with iPhones and the
updates to the software that might make those chargers incompatible.
That to me is infuriating, and reading through the story here, I'm also able to say that,
yeah, I've, I've had this very error message come up.
So tell us about this one.
Sure.
With the Apple class actions saying that old phone chargers are not supported.
This is something that Apple started rolling out a few years ago where you'd buy a new
device, you'd go ahead and plug it in and you might try to use an old cable and then
Apple would give you that message saying this device isn't supported and it might not even
charge your phone.
Apple did that for a number of technical reasons, including that some of the older chargers
were a lower amperage and a lower wattage, so they weren't able to push out the charge
as swiftly as would be required from the new Apple devices.
And just like you, I've had that message before too.
And I think the, the problem is, is when you're using a general, an actual genuine Apple device
and you get that message, it's doesn't happen all the time.
It's not super consistent from my own personal experience.
And if Apple is blocking the use of their actual Apple branded chargers, you're going
to have an issue.
In the past, Apple has given discounts and allowed their, their users who have had this
problem to call in, get their chargers swapped out at a nominal, if a, you know, very, very
minimal fee.
But this class action is really going hard against Apple, to allow viewers and allow,
allow their users to actually use their chargers, even if they are a little bit old and may
still work, but just charge their phone or device a little more slowly than Apple would
like.
And a lot of people who have been experiencing this problem are saying, you know, everything
was working fine, and then I did this software update and then suddenly the charger that
I had, the one that came with the phone, it's not a third party charger.
It's not something, you know, I found for $2 at a kiosk at the mall.
This was the one that came with my phone.
Now it's telling me this isn't gonna work and this isn't going to charge my phone.
I guess it's part of the, what they call the planned obsolescence.
You know, basically designing your products so that they don't last forever.
And we've seen that a lot with Apple.
You know, the newer updates come out.
If you're working on a phone that's about three years old and then suddenly, wow, I
can barely do anything with this brick because it doesn't open anything where it's so slow.
This has been an issue that's plagued Apple.
It's plagued a lot of these tech companies for a long time.
And I think this charger issue is just another extension of that.
And, and I've got to move on real quick because this story here, you know, this is kind of
the, the, the creme de la creme here because this one is another issue where we're seeing
some privacy violations.
And this has to do with the FaceTime app on these, these Apple products.
You know, hugely popular.
It's something a lot of us use to keep in touch with our families.
So what's happening with this, eavesdropping on the FaceTime app?
So the eavesdropping over the FaceTime app, it was all surrounding the group FaceTime
function.
And you had a teenage kid who actually lives in Tucson, Arizona.
So way to go, Arizona boy who figured out that if you could call, if you called somebody
who's in group FaceTime and dropped off, that person might not actually be able to tell
that you could still listen to the conversations.
And so the mother went ahead and hit Apple on Twitter and hit Apple through Facebook
and emailed Apple saying this is a big problem.
You need to figure it out.
And Apple did finally get back to her within a, I believe it's number of days.
So they did a fairly good job.
Confirmed that it was a problem and then immediately shut down group FaceTime messages while they
were trying to work out, and push out a security patch.
But this class action was filed by an attorney who said that it was impacting him and as
a privacy violation, James Mattox III of The Mattox Law Firm.
So what James Mattox is his saying is that this is the larger security problem that affected
a lot of people.
And even though Apple, as soon as they are made aware of it, they shut it down.
The problem is this, you and I have discussed before these privacy violations, you have
to not only go ahead and declare that there might've been some breach of privacy, but
it does open you up to a class action.
Now Apple, to their credit, they went ahead and they fixed the, you know, they shutdown
group FaceTime until they got a security patch rolled out.
And the kid who reported it, they, they did reward him with an, a college scholarship
of some sort where they have put money towards his, his future college education.
So Apple's doing their best to help out and you know, with the so called bug bounty.
But whether this class action will actually work because from what we've heard, if people
were obviously up in arms saying, oh my gosh, this group FaceTime is really cool, but this
is a big privacy violation if this happens.
We haven't received a huge outcry from people saying that this actually happened to them
and that they were impacted by it.
And so that's where I, you know, this class action may kind of a struggle a little bit.
But if it's a privacy violation, they can point that out in federal law, than Apple's
got a lot to deal with.
We've seen a lot of instances too, you know, people will do job interviews over this, this
FaceTime chat, especially now that you can have the group so you can get in, you know,
more people if they're trying to, you know, do a job interview.
You can actually do video depositions with clients.
You know, maybe they're overseas, maybe they're in an area where they weren't able to travel.
You can do that via these, these group FaceTimes.
And that presents a huge obvious problem if any of that data is leaked or if you know
somebody listening in and that shouldn't be listening in.
So yes, this did create a fairly large problem.
Hopefully Apple did correctly fix it, and that it's not a problem anymore.
But if anybody out there needs more information about any of these cases that we have talked
about today, the links to each and every one of them are in the description of this video.

Why Liverpool have advantage over Bayern Munich for second leg - Rio Ferdinand - Duration: 2:27.That is the opinion of BT Sport pundit and former Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand
Liverpool and Bayern Munich played out a 0-0 draw in the first leg at Anfield on Tuesday
After a hectic first half, both teams failed to create many chances of note after the break
Ferdinand gave credit to Bayern manager Niko Kovac for his tactics on Merseyside
But he reckons Liverpool will be the happier of the two teams after the visitors failed to get an away goal
"It was a tactical masterclass I thought from the Bayern team," Ferdinand said. "The way they changed the way they played, he identified the strengths of this Liverpool team, which was attacking, which was pace
"A team that exploits space if you allow it to them - they never gave them that. "The full-backs dropped deep, back into the back four, they stayed there
"Two of possibly the most attacking full-backs in European football in [Joshua] Kimmich and [David] Alaba
"They barely went forward today and they really condensed that space and didn't allow the front three really to get going to really counter attack and run into spaces
"That was a great feature of the game and this was a real tactical chess match I thought between the two teams
"But, to be honest with you, at the end of this game if I'm a Liverpool fan, I'm a Liverpool player or the manager, I'd probably be the happier of the two in terms of I feel I can go there and score
"I feel I can go there and score and then it's going to be a big ask I feel for this Bayern team
"
