Kate Middleton is missing from Meghan Markle's baby shower and is instead on holiday with Prince William and their children, according to reports

The Duchess of Cambridge has been absent from the well-known faces pictured in New York this week, where her sister-in-law is taking some time out with her close friends

The visit - Meghan's first to New York since her wedding to Prince Harry last year - is said to have been planned months ago

Kate, 37, appears to have missed out in favour of spending half term with William, George, Charlotte and Louis

A royal source told The Sun the Cambridges have gone on a 'snow filled holiday' together

Celebrities were earlier seen arriving at the plush hotel where it's believed Meghan Markle 's baby shower was taking place

The event was hosted by the Duchess of Sussex's close friends, including Serena Williams and Amal Clooney, according to reports

Ms Clooney was pictured arriving in a stunning red jumpsuit, followed by Meghan's close friend and unofficial stylist Jessica Mulroney

Abigail Spencer, who starred in the US drama Suits with Meghan, was also spotted arriving at the hotel, as was harpist Erin Hill, believed to be playing at the occasion

Other guests who arrived holding gift bags include fashion designer Misha Nonoo

A source told Tatler the baby shower is happening in the penthouse suite of New York's lavish Mark Hotel, priced at $75,000 a night - and Serena Williams is reportedly paying for it

Officials have been tight-lipped about which room at the Mark Hotel the Duchess is staying in, but it is entirely possible she and her posse could be shacked up in the venue's incredible penthouse

If so Meghan is roomed up at the "castle in the sky" with views over Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art

A Kensington Palace spokesperson was unavailable when contacted by Mirror Online about the Cambridge's holiday

How to place and aim your stage monitors for maximum rejection - Duration: 7:03.

I just published a new article so I thought this would be

a good opportunity to show you some of the updates I've made to the aiming

triangles business card so this article is all about placing and aiming your

stage monitors for maximum gain before feedback to get maximum gain before

feedback you need maximum rejection and to do that you need to place a name your

stage monitors well so that they're aimed right into the null point of that

microphone I really like this product that dave RAC created called the polar

pointer now you can mount this in a mic clip then look at where the lasers point

for a super cardioid or hyper cardioid microphone and then place your stage

monitors in the exact right point and then I thought I wonder if I could just

update my aiming triangles business card to make it sort of like a poor man's

polar pointer so over here you can see I wrote a drill in new lines one for super

cardioid and one for hyper-cardioid so super has its own line here which you

can see is also going to be over here on the left in between 50 and 60 at 55

degrees and then hyper is this line that it's almost touching right below here so

how might you use this in the field well if you take the aiming triangles

business card this is the old one but I'm gonna show you the demo you could

put it on top of your microphone like this right and then you can see where

the laser is pointing on the ground and put your speakers in the right place

point them at the microphone and this should be pretty precise the other cool

thing is that then you can sort of rotate it around the microphone like

that because the pattern is in all the way around the microphone nut right it's

not just 2d it's 3d so I could have it here in the clip and then sort of rotate

it down and see where my options are for placing the stage monitor a couple of

things to keep in mind with this it's not perfect you can't just look at

any microphone and say oh this is a super cardioid microphones so I'm just

gonna use Nathan's aiming triangles business card I looked at several

different microphones and it seems like there is no industry standard for

exactly what that means over here we've got the shure beta 57 a which calls

itself a super cardioid and says my no points are at 120 degrees we've also got

the bear dynamic m2a1 which calls itself a hyper-cardioid but

has its no points at the exact same place so here's an image from the shure

spec sheet and here's an image from the bear dynamic spec sheet

can't agree I don't know why I guess we need to look up the spec sheet for every

microphone that we use that's fine we should know about the hardware that we

use it would just be nice if you know people say hyper-cardioid and they need

one specific thing that's okay just keep that in mind that even though I wrote I

drew those lines in a specific place on this card it might not be exactly there

for your microphone okay so that's the front of the microphone let's look at

some of the updates I made to the back now I know you guys hate it when I

introduce information and then don't say what it's for or why is valuable so

below this video I'm going to add lots of links that will teach you more about

this stuff but if I were to try and explain all the stuff on the back of

this little card it would take me I don't know five days so this is a little

table here to help convert from coverage angle to forward aspect ratio and

lateral aspect ratio and backwards if you need to and down here are some

calculations if you need a number that's not on this list so if you have a

speaker that's 65 degrees and you want to calculate the forward aspect ratio

and lateral aspect ratio you can do that with these equations down here let's

look at some more helpful equations here we have time to frequency and vice versa

so one divided by frequency equals x so if we wanted to find the time period of

1k that would be 1 divided by 1,000 which would be one millisecond okay so

0.001 seconds if I want to find the wavelength and I know the frequency and

I just need to divide the speed of sound by the way so down here we have some

options for speed of sound let's say I'm working in feet so 11 29 divided by 1k

you me a wavelength of 1.1 to 9 feet

here we've got your phase-two time conversion this is really helpful when

you're doing something like a main sub alignment and you've got you're looking

at two-phase traces and you can see that they're I don't know six degrees apart

at 100 Hertz so you could say okay what's 60 divided by 360 divided by 100

Hertz and we can see that that's one point six seven milliseconds if I

multiply this by a thousand that's more clear one point six seven milliseconds

some helpful estimations here for converting distance to time and vice

versa I used this one a lot 0.9 milliseconds per feet when I'm setting

up an estimating an inline two element gradient subwoofer array I know that I

need to delay the rear sub by the spacing distance so if I measure the

spacing distance and I see that it's three feet then I can just multiply

three by zero point nine to get an estimation of two point seven

milliseconds delay for the rear sub and then finally over here I've got a tiny

little linear to log conversion chart these are the five big ones that Merlin

vanveen recommends that you memorize and I'll put a link to his video below this

video say for example that you know the front to back distance ratio of your sub

to your audience is one two three then you can expect a 10 DB contrast from

front to back not taking room gain into account

alright so those are the updates to the aiming triangles business card please

let me know what your suggestions are I don't know if I can fit more information

on this card but if you see something that I did wrong or some way that I

could organise this better to make it more useful to you please let me know

Jussie Smollett Actor charged with felony for allegedly filing a false p0lice report - Duration: 6:56.

Jussie Smollett Actor charged with felony for allegedly filing a false p0lice report

Anthony Guglielmi said charges were approved by the Cook County States Attorney Office and "Detectives will make contact with his legal team to negotiate a reasonable surrender for his arrest."

Filing a false police report is disorderly conduct, according to Illinois code. A class 4 felony is punishable by one to three years, .

A bail hearing is anticipated for 1:30 p.m. CT Thursday, prosecutors said.

Smolletts transformation from victim to suspect in a reported attack that captured national headlines came on the same day that a high ranking police source said Chicago detectives were working to obtain the actors financial records.

A Cook County grand jury met Wednesday just weeks after the young actor .

Smolletts attorneys released a statement: "Like any other citizen, Mr. Smollett enjoys the presumption of innocence, particularly when there has been an investigation like this one where information, both true and false, has been repeatedly leaked. Given these circumstances, we intend to conduct a thorough investigation and to mount an aggressive defense."

Video appears to show brothers buy items

Two law enforcement sources with knowledge of the investigation have told CNN that police believe Smollett paid two brothers to orchestrate an assault on him.

Surveillance video obtained from a Chicago area beauty supply store appears to show the brothers connected to the incident purchasing a ski mask, sunglasses, a red hat and other items the day before the alleged assault on the actor.

The January 28 video shows two men shopping. They paid in cash, said the owner, who wishes not to be identified.

The video was turned over to police on Friday, the owner told CNN.

The brothers, who were arrested and released in connection with the attack, met Tuesday with police and prosecutors at a Chicago courthouse, police spokesman Tom Ahern said. The countys top prosecutor, Cook County States Attorney Kim Foxx, has recused herself from the investigation, according to a spokeswoman from her office.

Gloria Schmidt, the attorney for the brothers, told reporters Wednesday that her clients had not accepted a plea deal or immunity.

"You dont need immunity when you have the truth, " she said.

The brothers were paid by the actor, she said, but the amount is "not fitting the narrative that is out there now."

Actor denies role

Smolletts attorneys met with Cook County prosecutors earlier in the day, according to Ahern.

Smollett told authorities that two men attacked him, putting a rope around his neck and pouring an unknown chemical substance on him.

The actor denies playing a role in his attack, according to his attorneys.

In a statement before Smollett was named a suspect, 20th Century Fox Television, which produces the series "Empire" on which Smollett appears, and Fox Entertainment expressed support for the actor.

"Jussie Smollett continues to be a consummate professional on set and as we have previously stated, he is not being written out of the show," the statement said.

A Fox spokesperson had no comment when reached by CNN on Wednesday.

Brothers are cooperating with law enforcement, sources say

The two men questioned by police whom Schmidt identified as were arrested February 13 but released without charges Friday after police cited the discovery of "new evidence." The two are no longer suspects at this time, Chicago police have said.

In a joint statement issued to , the men said: "We are not racist. We are not homophobic, and we are not anti Trump. We were born and raised in Chicago and are American citizens."

Anne Kavanaugh of Media Pros 24/7, a media consulting firm representing Smollett, released a statement this week, saying in part, "Smolletts attorneys will keep an active dialogue going with Chicago police on his behalf."

The police sources said that the brothers are cooperating with law enforcement and said that records show they purchased the rope found around Smolletts neck at a hardware store in Chicago.

Actor told police he was attacked near entrance of a Loews hotel

Smolletts attorneys, Todd S. Pugh and Victor P. Henderson, issued a statement Saturday describing their client as angry about allegations he orchestrated the attack.

"As a victim of a hate crime who has cooperated with the police investigation, Jussie Smollett is angered and devastated by recent reports that the perpetrators are individuals he is familiar with," the statement said.

"He has now been further victimized by claims attributed to these alleged perpetrators that Jussie played a role in his own attack. Nothing is further from the truth and anyone claiming otherwise is lying."

Smollett is openly gay and since 2015 has played the gay character of Jamal on the Fox TV drama "Empire."

The actor told detectives two men attacked him near the lower entrance of a Loews hotel in Chicago, according to police spokesman Guglielmi. Police were told the two men yelled, " Empire fa asterisk asterisk asterisk t" and "Empire n asterisk asterisk asterisk er, " while striking him.

In a supplemental interview with authorities, Smollett confirmed media reports that one of the attackers also shouted, "This is MAGA country," a reference to President Donald Trumps "Make America Great Again" campaign slogan.

The day after last months incident, police released surveillance images showing two silhouetted individuals walking down a sidewalk, and police said they were wanted for questioning.

Police late last week said the men were being viewed as "potential suspects." But , Guglielmi said.

One of the men has appeared on "Empire," Guglielmi said. A police source also told CNN on Friday night that the men had a previous affiliation with Smollett but did not provide additional details.

Seven days before the alleged attack, a letter containing white powder was sent to the Chicago set of "Empire," police have said. Authorities determined the powder to be aspirin, according to Guglielmi.

The image of the letter and envelope, shared with CNN by a person close to Smollett, includes a message apparently cut from magazine clippings, and a stick figure drawing.

Smollett told ABC News the drawing was of a "stick figure hanging from a tree which had a gun pointing towards it." The letter, addressed to Smollett, includes the word "MAGA" on the outside of the envelope in place of the return address.

More than a decade ago, Smollett pleaded no contest to providing false information to law enforcement in a 2007 misdemeanor case, according to Frank Mateljan, a spokesman for the Los Angeles City Attorneys Office.

The case stemmed from a DUI stop in which Smollett gave police the wrong name.

Smollett also pleaded no contest to driving with a blood alcohol level over the legal limit and driving without a valid driver license.

He was sentenced to two years of probation and paid a fine, according to Mateljan.

Smollett expressed frustration about not being believed

Smollett gave his first detailed account last week of what he says was a hate crime against him, and the aftermath, in an interview with ABCs "."

"It feels like if I had said it was a Muslim or a Mexican or someone black I feel like the doubters would have supported me a lot much more," Smollett said. "And that says a lot about the place where we are as a country right now."

Smollett said that one of the attackers shouted, "This is MAGA country," before punching him in the face. But he denied reports that said he told police the attackers wore "Make America Great Again" hats.

"I never said that," he told ABCs Robin Roberts in an interview that aired February 14. "I didnt need to add anything like that. They called me a f asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk t, they called me a n asterisk asterisk asterisk asterisk r. Theres no which way you cut it. I dont need some MAGA hat as the cherry on some racist sundae."
