Democratic lawmakers ask NRA for answers over 2015 Moscow trip and alleged Russian ties Politics - Duration: 4:09.Democratic lawmakers ask NRA for answers over 2015 Moscow trip and alleged Russian ties Politics
The letter, dated Friday, is addressed to NRA CEO Wayne LaPierre and signed by Democratic Reps. Ted Lieu of California, a member of the House Judiciary Committee, and Kathleen Rice of New York, a member of the House Homeland Security Committee.
This isnt the first time the NRA has faced scrutiny from Democratic lawmakers.
Democratic Sen. Ron Wyden of Oregon has to the organization asking about its finances. And earlier this month, Sen. Sheldon Whitehouse and Rep. Jamie Raskin, both Democrats, to the NRA asking for information about donations the group funneled toward the Trump presidential campaign and GOP congressional candidates.
If House Democrats who now hold a majority in the lower chamber of Congress decide to make use of their subpoena power to target the NRA, that could create another headache for the gun rights group.
In response to a request for comment on the letter from Lieu and Rice, William A. Brewer III, who serves as counsel to the NRA, told CNN that the organization "has not yet received the letter," but intends to "respond to all appropriate information requests."
"Although the NRA has not yet received the letter, the Association, naturally, will respond to all appropriate information requests," said Brewer, partner at Brewer, Attorneys Counselors and counsel to the NRA, in a statement. "The NRA is working diligently to supply information in response to several requests for information, and will continue to do so."
Lieu and Rice write in their letter that they have become "increasingly alarmed" by what they describe as "the complex web of relationships between individuals associated with the NRA and highly influential Russian officials" and say that it is "imperative that Congress has a full understanding" of efforts by Russia to influence US elections.
on the letter.
2015 Moscow trip
The letter asks several questions about a 2015 trip to Moscow attended by NRA backers.
The 2015 trip was orchestrated by former NRA president David Keene and Maria Butina, a Russian native who in federal court in December to conspiring to act as a foreign agent. As part of her plea, she admitted to attempting to infiltrate Republican political circles and influence US relations with Russia before and after the 2016 presidential election.
The agenda included events with Alexander Torshin, a Russian government official who was later sanctioned by the US Treasury Department, as well as former Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin, who had already been sanctioned by the US government.
Butina worked closely with Keene and his wife to organize the 2015 Moscow trip. Keene used his NRA email address in making the arrangements as did another NRA staffer named Nicholas Perrine, according to emails obtained by CNN.
Among the attendees in 2015 were Keene, Dr. Arnold Goldschlager, an NRA donor; Joe Gregory, a prominent NRA fundraiser; Jim Liberatore, president and CEO of the Outdoor Channel; Sheriff David A. Clarke Jr., who was a prominent Trump surrogate during the campaign; and Pete Brownell, who would later serve as NRA president.
Goldschlager the 2015 Moscow visit as a "people to people mission" in an interview with McClatchy last year and said, "The trip exceeded my expectations by logarithmic levels."
The letter asks, "What expenses did the NRA pay for the December 2015 trip to Moscow?" and "Did any NRA officials communicate with Torshin, Butina, or any other Russia linked individuals about efforts to interfere in and influence the 2016 U.S. presidential election?"
It also asks, "Did the NRA facilitate any meetings or communications between Trump campaign associates and Torshin or any other Russia linked individuals?"
The NRA has attempted to distance itself from the trip. In a statement to CNN earlier this month, Brewer that LaPierre was "personally opposed" to the trip when he found out about the details of the visit.
"When he became aware of the details of the trip, Wayne was personally opposed to it," Brewer told CNN, adding, "In order that the group was not viewed as representing the NRA, Wayne spoke with several people about the excursion. As a result, Mr. Cors agreed not to make the trip. In addition, NRA staff members who were in Israel for a trip that preceded the visit to Russia returned home." Cors was NRA president at the time the trip took place.
But CNN has confirmed that NRA officials appeared to play a significant role in planning the trip.
At least one NRA employee assisted Butina in making travel arrangements for the delegation that would be visiting Moscow. At one point, the NRA employee even asked whether the NRA should be listed as the organization that was footing the bill for some of the NRA affiliated attendees, according to emails obtained by CNN.
The letter references recent news stories on the origins of the 2015 trip, saying, "Recent reporting, however, suggests that the NRA was in fact involved. For example, the emails reviewed by reporters suggest that the NRA covered the travel expenses of some delegates and that NRA employees worked with Butina and other Russian individuals to make travel arrangements."
Lieu and Rice write, "We are disturbed by the lack of transparency the NRA has demonstrated surrounding the December 2015 trip to Moscow."
More questions about NRA finances and Russia
The letter asks questions related to the gun rights groups finances, including, "How much money did the NRA receive from Russia or Russia linked individuals or entities during the 2016 election cycle?"
Lieu and Rice also ask, "Did the NRA use any of that money in their 2016 election campaign contributions?" and "Did any NRA officials discuss money laundering or the funneling of money from Russia to the NRA?"
After facing questions about whether foreign money could have been funneled through the group to boost the Trump campaign, the NRA that it did not use foreign funds for election related purposes, but has acknowledged that it accepts money from foreign donors.
Wyden asked the NRA, which supported Trump during the 2016 election and spent millions of dollars to back his candidacy, in March if it can "categorically state" that "your organizations have never, wittingly or unwittingly, received any contributions from individuals or entities acting as conduits for foreign entities or interests?"
The NRAs secretary and general counsel John Frazer that the NRA takes pains to ensure money from foreign nationals isnt injected into political spending.
"While we do receive some contributions from foreign individuals and entities, those contributions are made directly to the NRA for lawful purposes," Frazer wrote. "Our review of our records has found no foreign donations in connection with a United States election, either directly or through a conduit."
While its not illegal for the NRA to accept contributions from foreign donors, the group would run afoul of the law if that money were used for electioneering purposes. The NRAs political action committee, the NRA Political Victory Fund, is required to report its spending to the Federal Election Commission, but the group houses a number of other accounts that arent bound by such transparency.

When Will The Good Doctor Be Back for Season 3? - Duration: 2:49.When Will The Good Doctor Be Back for Season 3?

British actor finally became the superstar he deserved after we all remember him in numerous films as a child actor. His performance alone in was one movie project we thought would propel him to American stardom much sooner.
It took a while here in the states, but it finally happened withBates Motel, and now The Good Doctor. The latter show has been a huge success for ABC, despite mixed reviews for the show as a whole.
You could look at The Good Doctor as the Bohemian Rhapsody of TV: Criticized as a show, yet praised for its main actor. Itll be back for a third season next fall.
Freddie Highmores The Good Doctor renewed for season 3 on ABC
If youve seen the show, you already know how great Freddie Highmore is playing Dr. Shaun Murphy whos hired reluctantly by San Jose St. Bonaventure Hospital as a surgical resident. Murphy happens . Highmores performance of this character has been so convincing, some think he has a form of autism himself.
He doesnt, though it just proves how committed Highmore has been to his craft. , including befriending people with autism for first hand observation.
Much like what Rami Malek did in meticulously studying Freddie Mercury for Bohemian Rhapsody, TGDis mostly about Highmores performance. The rest of the show often gets accused of having plenty of .
Berlin: Freddie Highmore to Produce and Star in Spain Set Heist Film Way Down
No doubt one of the things making The Good Doctor so popular is its clever ability to find creative solutions to many complex illnesses. You can compare this somewhat to the series House where Dr. Gregory House the great Hugh Laurie would often come up with brilliant workarounds to solve a unique medical situation.
Of course, House wasnt autistic, or at least not spoken if he was. A Murphy House connection is no accident, though, .
The intense commitment to the part almost had Highmore backing out before the show began. Over the last two seasons, Shore has agreed to produce just 18 episodes per season, allowing Highmore time to make movies during the summer hiatus.
. is stepping out from behind the camera for his recurring role as Jackson Han! Dont miss this Monday, directed by Freddie Highmore.
Now with , we can probably expect The Good Doctor to improve from its initial tepid reviews. One thing you may not know is former Hawaii Five O star Daniel Dae Kim was responsible for getting TGD on the air. His production company bought the rights from a South Korean TV counterpart.
Yes, it seems America almost always pillages from other countries for TV show ideas. Still, Dae Kim made it a hit for American audiences. With his controversial 2017 departure from Five O behind him, playing new Chief of Surgery, Dr. Jackson Han.
Maybe hell make a difference in diminishing the medical drama gimmickry weve seen far too often after 1990s era ER set the bar high.
According to media reports, the rating for The Good Doctor are still respectable if not spectacular. Airing on Monday nights, its often competing with the slightly more popular Bull on CBS and Manifest on NBC.
Even so, it was already said during the shows first season that . The DVR ratio has improved recently, which likely made a difference in ABC deciding to green light a third season early.
One thing we hope to see with this renewal is a new precedent for more shows highlighting mental illness and how complex it is even in professional society.

A TRUE FRIEND – Ditty – lovely song for kids. Animated nursery rhymes for children - Duration: 3:25.Ditty sing with us
If you can promise you won't tell and
swear you can keep things for yourself then
I will let you in on a secret
Something that no one even knows yet
Although I have so many friends now
That counting them is simply trouble,
The greatest friend I've ever had is
One from a rather ancient wardrobe.
One from a rather ancient wardrobe. (You must have a huge wardrobe!)
Friendship is the greatest
Treasure you can't measure.
You are truly lucky
If you have a friend
And although this friend comes
From pure imagination
Friendship is the greatest
treasure you can find
When he appeared here for the first time,
He said that he is rather bored and,
He's looking for someone to play with
Doesn't want to scare anyone.
(Lazy!)
Lazy and from that day morning and evening
He's been my greatest friend forever.
I just keep playing with this monster,
Which makes me happier than ever.
Friendship is the greatest
Treasure you can measure
You are truly lucky
If you have a friend
And although this friend comes
From pure imagination
Friendship is the greatest
Treasure you can find
I haven't told my mom about it
Haven't said anything to dad yet
That I have here in my own closet
This monster, which is just my best friend. (And mine!)
He's always there to have some fun with
Has great ideas by the million
Gives good advice when I need him to
So what if he's made up, I ask you?
Friendship is the greatest
Treasure you can't measure.
You are truly lucky
If you have a friend.
And although this friend comes
From pure imagination

Alabama senator calls for newspaper editor to resign following editorial that called for return of K - Duration: 1:17.Alabama senator calls for newspaper editor to resign following editorial that called for return of K
Democratic Alabama Senator Doug Jones called for a newspaper editor to resign after publishing a disgust..racist, hateful editorial in which he called for the Ku Klux Klan to return to the state.
OMG! What rock did this guy crawl out from under? This editorial is absolutely disgusting he should resign NOW! I have seen what happens when we stand by while people especially those with influence publish racist, hateful views. Words matter. Actions matter. Resign now!, .
Last week, longtime Democrat Reporter publisher and editor Goodloe Sutton wrote an that called for the Ku Klux Klan to ride again.
Seems like the Klan would be welcome to raid the gated communities up there the northeast U.S. , Sutton wrote.
The piece went viral Monday after an Auburn University student newspaper reporter posted it online.
This is an astonishing mix of offensive thinking, bad history and terrible writing.
Sutton defended his stance and even doubled down on the rhetoric.
"If we could get the Klan to go up there and clean out D.C., wed all been better off," Sutton told the . "Well get the hemp ropes out, loop them over a tall limb and hang all of them.
These are socialist communists were talking about not real Americans . Do you know what socialism and communism is?" Sutton asked.
The Democrat Reporter is based in Linden, a small town near the Alabama Mississippi border of barely more than 2,000 people, according to the 2010 census. The towns population is relatively evenly split demographically among African Americans and whites.
Sutton also falsely claimed that the Klan killed but a few people and argued that it wasnt violent until they needed to be.
Between 1881 and 1968, lynch mobs killed 4,743 people, nearly three quarters of whom were African Americans, according to the Tuskegee Institute.

Heavy rain could create more flooding problems for Eastern Kentucky - Duration: 0:57.Heavy rain could create more flooding problems for Eastern Kentucky
WYMT Our soggy weather pattern continues as we head into the next few days. Two systems will bring the potential for some flooding as we head into the middle of the week and possibly even towards the weekend. With this complex system, we will need to take it day by day here in Kentucky. Each model run will tell us what the trend is and we should gain more information leading up to the event and even during the event. Our Severe Weather Alert Day kicks off this evening for the heavy rain potential.
TonightLook for low temperatures to drop into the mid upper 20s tonight with mostly cloudy skies. It will be a chilly night but at least we will be dry. That is good news for us! Sadly, that pattern will change as we head into your Tuesday and Wednesday
Tuesday WednesdayThe first system we are tracking will arrive late on Tuesday from the south and provide plenty of rain for Tuesday night and throughout your Wednesday. Look for mostly cloudy skies on Tuesday with highs to reach the lower 40s. As we head into the evening hours, rain and maybe even a light mix of snow will work on the front edge of this system. Rain chances will start by 6 7 p.m. on Tuesday night and continue throughout the overnight hours.
Rain chances are expected throughout Wednesday and will be heavy at times. Based on the latest model data, the heavier rain totals look to be the north near I 64 and also along I 75. Two areas we will really need to watch will be the Cumberland River and the Kentucky River areas. Of course, any place has the potential to see flooding issues with 1 3" of rain for this first system. Its also important to note that rockslides and mudslides will be likely with this first system as well.
System 1 is expected to end by Thursday morning as we get a brief break Thursday afternoon and through the morning hours on Friday.
Extended ForecastOur extended forecast isnt high in confidence just yet but another system does look to arrive by Friday afternoon and continue the rain chances through Saturday and Sunday. As of right now, an 1 3" of rain still looks likely but the heavier amounts have shifted into central Kentucky. If this trend continues, this could help our counties in Eastern Kentucky that simply need a break.
2 4" of rain in a seven day period will be a lot easier to handle than 3 6+" of rain. Keep that in mind. We will continue to keep you posted throughout the next couple of days.
We will also keep an eye on those rivers. Those will be the spots that I think see the most problems for now.

The president left Washington late Friday afternoon, less than 12 hours after he declared a national emergency on the border during a Rose Garden ceremony and signed a proclamation making the crisis official.
Four times since then he traveled to Trump International Golf Club — one time for dinner and three times for unknown activities that are suspected to be rounds of golf. He wore polo shirts and red ball caps on all three day trips.
Mulvaney and his wife were among friends and staffers of the president who dined with him at Trump International Golf Club on Sunday evening.
The White House acknowledged that Mulvaney and other senior members of the administration were in Palm Beach for the three day weekend in a Saturday afternoon statement on the status of trade negotiations with China.
This afternoon, President Trump will meet with members of his trade team and receive an update on the ongoing talks with China. Ambassador Lighthizer, Secretary Ross, Mick Mulvaney, and Peter Navarro will join the President in person at Mar a Lago and Secretary Mnuchin, Pat Cipilone , Larry Kudlow, Kevin Hassett, Derek Lyons and Clete Willems will join by phone, a statement from the presidents spokeswoman said.
It wasnt clear how the president was spending the rest of his time over the holiday weekend and whether he was on the golf course the three times he visited the club during daytime hours.
The White House does not, as a routine practice, say whether the president is golfing or identify his partners.
Mulvaney and Trump were dressed casually on Monday when DailyMail.com spotted them through the window of the presidents limousine as it left Mar a Lago in the morning.

Amy Klobuchars novel pitch for the Democratic nomination Pragmatism Politics - Duration: 3:24.Amy Klobuchars novel pitch for the Democratic nomination Pragmatism Politics
At a CNN town hall with voters here on Monday night, the Minnesota Democrat offered few sugar coated promises on causes that have become popular among the partys progressive base. Instead, she gave detail laden answers about why there are no easy fixes to these challenges, despite what they might hear from other Democrats.
With her presidential campaign only eight days old, Klobuchar is testing the balance between pragmatism and purity, while resisting the urge to pander to the partys progressive wing.
Her approach on stage at St. Anselm College, which echoes early conversations she is having with voters in New Hampshire and Iowa, offers a glimpse into how she hopes to differentiate herself from a large and still growing field of 2020 Democratic hopefuls. Even as she touts her progressive record, she is seeking to carve out a more moderate lane, while emphasizing her ability to accomplish the goals she lays out.
The winds of the Democratic presidential primary are blowing fiercely from the left, but on Monday night she showed few signs of bending.
Asked whether she would support Medicare for all, Klobuchar replied: "It could be a possibility in the future. Im just looking for something that will work now." She said her focus would be on improving the Affordable Care Act, expanding both Medicare and Medicaid and creating a public option.
As for the Green New Deal, she praised the idea, but said it was pie in the sky to enact such sweeping proposals in 10 years. "I think they are aspirations," she said.
"The actual legislation you do," she added, "we know theres going to be compromises."
She pledged on day one of her presidency to re enter the US into the Paris climate agreement and move to enact the clean power rules that the Obama administration had supported.
And when asked if she supported free college, she replied: "No. I am not for free four year college for all."
As the crowd including many students listened intently, she said: "If I was a magic genie and could afford to give that to everyone I would."
She said her plan was to make it easier for students to refinance their loans, make community colleges free and extend Pell grants.
Finally, she added: "I have to tell the truth. We have this mounting debt that the Trump administration keeps getting worse and worse. I also dont want to leave that on the shoulders of all these weve got to do a balance."
Its an open question, of course, whether the path to winning the Democratic presidential nomination rests in the middle. The energy in the party comes from its left wing, where several of her rivals are positioning themselves.
While Democrats have unified around their opposition to President Donald Trump, the field is starting to take new shape.
Sen. Kamala Harris stands behind her support for Medicare for all at least as one option to addressing the health care crisis. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand touts her belief in the Green New Deal. And Sen. Elizabeth Warren is pushing a new wealth tax.
A year before the voting begins, the series of liberal ideas are creating early litmus tests and potentially setting up long term political landmines. What sounds good in a primary campaign often can spell trouble in a general election.
The divisions are also playing out on the Senate floor, including on last weeks vote to avoid a government shutdown. Klobuchar joined Sens. Sherrod Brown and Bernie Sanders in supporting the spending bill, while Sen. Cory Booker, Harris, Gillibrand and Warren opposed it.
There are, surely, many more dividing lines to come. And at this early juncture, most Democrats are only beginning to study the candidates.
But judging by the standing ovation she received from the crowd on Monday night, Klobuchar demonstrated that she is well on her way to carving out her lane in the crowded field.
She came armed with a sense of humor and a willingness to say no. The question, of course, is how big of an appetite exists for that in a party steadily shifting to the left.

Una Healy displays her svelte figure in chic two-piece for charity LFW show - Duration: 9:39.Una Healy displays her svelte figure in chic two-piece for charity LFW show
Her ex husband Ben Foden confirmed that he cheated on her during their six-year marriage last week.
And Una Healy, 37, put her former flame's confession firmly behind her as she appeared in Oxfam's Fashion Fighting Poverty Catwalk Show at Ambika 3 on Monday night.
The Irish beauty put her best fashion foot forward in a black waist coat which accentuated her cleavage with it's plunging neckline. She teamed the waist-cinching garment with a pair of complementing black flares that highlighted her slender pins down the runway.
The Saturdays singer accessorised the look with a pair of gold hoop earrings while her blonde locks were styled into a soft curl that cascaded down her back.
Continuing her glamorous display, she sported a glowing beauty look, which featured a smokey brown eye and pink lip.
Her appearance comes days after her estranged husband Ben confirmed he did cheat on her during their six-year marriage, but insists his infidelity was one of many reasons for the couple's subsequent divorce.
The former couple announced their separation in July 2018 after Una called off their planned move to the United States and relocated to her mother's home in Ireland with their two children.
And scrum-half Foden, 33, now living alone on America's east coast after signing for Rugby United New York, admits he deserves to be criticised after his philandering helped bring an end to their marriage – but insists he isn't entirely to blame.
He told The Guardian: 'At the moment anything that's published about me is never very good and pretty rightly so because I was the one who committed adultery.
At the same time, it wasn't the only reason for our divorce to go through. It's not ideal, but we're very amicable, we're getting through it, we're not the first people in the world to get divorced.
We've got two little kids we adore.'. And he admits being away from their children, daughter Aoife, six, and four-year old son Tadhg, is one of the inevitable drawbacks with his current stay in the United States.
'It's hard because I'm away from my son and daughter,' he added. 'But I know they're in a great and loving environment with Una, because she's a great mum. We never argue about that.'.
Ben's tattered reputation suffered a further blow in 2018 after he used dating app Bumble to publicly announce his separation from the former Saturday's star.
Adding a short introductory bio alongside a series of brooding selfies, the rugby player insisted he was looking for someone who 'wasn't bossy' - widely perceived as a dig at his ex-wife.
'Heading Stateside in December,' he wrote. 'Never believe in making plans, let's just see what happens and how things go. 'If you're uptight and bossy I'm not for you. 2 little people who are my world.'.
But Ben admits Una was already aware of the Bumble account, and incredibly even helped him create his own public profile on the popular app.
Recalling how it came about, the sportsman says they created the account 'for a joke' after he made a throwaway comment about dating - only for it to quickly escalate after his profile was recognised.
'It's not ideal but at least I can laugh about it and especially so with Una,' he conceded. 'If she hadn't known about it I can see it would have been a bit of a knife in the back.'.
Una has since moved on with Irish hurler David Breen, with the singer confirming their relationship on Instagram in December. Her ex husband Ben Foden confirmed that he cheated on her during their six-year marriage last week.

Man Utd news: Jose Mourinho reveals latest on NINE injury doubts for Liverpool showdown - Duration: 2:48.Manchester United are in the middle of an injury crisis and could be without as many as nine players
Alexis Sanchez, Victor Lindelof, Marcos Rojo, Chris Smalling, Matteo Darmian, Anthony Martial, Diogo Dalot, Luke Shaw, Scott McTominay are all doubts for Sunday
United lost to Valencia on Wednesday to cap off their Champions League group stage, missing out on top spot
But Mourinho is still waiting on players returning to training even with just two days before the next match
"The only two players the were fit to play but didn't travel was De Gea and Matic," he said
"Apart from that, all of them was not a choice. It was because they were with problems
So we took to Valencia the possible team, apart from De Gea and Matic. Both had a reason to stay
"De Gea has played every minute and needed a mental rest. Matic has played every minute and needed a physical rest
"I hope that between now and tomorrow's training session we can have some positive news
But the situation is not easy." Trending Mourinho then stressed he hoped some of the doubts would be available to play but a decision wouldn't be made until tomorrow
He added: "The latest is to tell you again that in Valencia only De Gea and Matic were available to play and didn't travel by decision apart of that the players that didn't travel were not fit to play in Valencia, all of them had injuries and they were not ready
"All of them didn't train yesterday again and today they will be a little, I don't want to say test, but a little introduction to training to see the answer, adaptation and to see if we can increase a little bit tomorrow to have them for Sunday
"But for sure, I hope, is better not to say for sure, I hope some will be available but for sure some will not be

Author Daniel Kraus reveals the sweet and sinister cover for Blood Sugar - Duration: 4:46.It's perhaps the scariest of all Halloween urban legends — the candy bar with poison, a needle, or a razor blade in it
In his new novel Blood Sugar, author Daniel Kraus turns that premise into a life-or-death thriller about a neighborhood outcast who recruits three kids to help him unleash his twisted plan for vengeance
"Everyone's sort of the villain," Kraus says. "There is the character whose plan it is, to put poison and drugs and sharp objects in the candy
He's also, perhaps, the most sympathetic character in the book." The novel will be released Oct
8 by Hard Case Crime, which often crafts a retro pulp fiction image for its covers
This one features a pin-up calendar scattered with treats… as well as the deadly tricks the perpetrators plan to embed in them
Hard Case Crime "It fit really perfectly," says Kraus, whose other credits include the novel Rotters, the Death and Life of Zebulon Finch series, and the Oscar-winning The Shape of Water
"There's a section in the book where they're working on the candies and they're doing it on top of this calendar, that's showing it's Oct
31." The original painting is by artist Paul Mann, whose pop culture posters and other works can be seen here
Blood Sugar is told from the perspective of the three kids who join the murderer's deadly scheme
"That was a total pleasure to do. Nothing's more fun for me than writing dialogue," Kraus says
"This book is basically 200 some pages of dialogue." While tainted Halloween candy is largely a myth, the fear itself has been enduring
"I remember being a kid and that was on everyone's mind, not just the kids but the parents," the author says
"I remember coming in from trick-or-treating once, and there was some sort of chocolate, something homemade
There was some sort of white matter sprinkled on them. I remember so vividly my mom taking those out and throwing them away
" An almost scarier question is: Why hasn't a homicidal person ever actually tried it? "Even if it's never happened, it'd be so easy
It's terrifyingly easy," Kraus says. "When else do you encourage children to go knock on strangers' doors? I mean, there's something about it that goes against every rational thought of a civilized society
