Hi, I'm Bryan from Airflow Music. Alongside publishing our books for brass players

we've been producing a bunch of videos with tips to make brass playing easier

for you, so if you're new here, please subscribe to the Airflow Music channel,

videos. This video is part of the Exercise of the Week series. I'm here

every Monday with a new exercise for you to practice throughout the week. If you

have any suggestions for an area of technique you'd like one of these

exercises to address please comment below.

Once again, this exercise is based on a phrase I've been practicing in

preparation for an upcoming tour that I'll actually be away on at the time

that this video is published. It's been tying my fingers in knots, so I figured

it would be pretty worthwhile for everybody else too! In common with every

video in this series the exercise is available as a free downloadable PDF

from the Airflow Music online store. You'll find the link in the description

below. I wrote this one out in all 12 keys so I can really get to grips with

the airflow across the whole phrase. In context, it's supposed to be played tongued

at about 140 beats per minute. To begin with, I recommend you go slowly as

necessary to get through it nice and smoothly with even tempo. Even though

it's eventually supposed to be tongued, I recommend you slur it at first and then

tongue on the repeat once you get used to it.

Tennessee Schools for the Deaf - New logo Announcement - Duration: 4:11.

Hello, my name is Stephanie

and I work here at TSD as the Graphic Designer.

We are excited to announce in this Vlog

that we have a new academic (school) logo.

Regarding academic logos,

Most schools throughout the country,

including Deaf schools, have two logos

an academic logo, and a mascot logo for athletics.

Our TSD athletic logo is the Vikings,

which will remain the same.

We now have a new school logo that I will explain in this Vlog,

based on our research, interactions, and observations.

Here in the state of Tennessee, we have three Deaf school campuses

so we tried to determine what would best match

We figured it out, take a look . . .

Do you see it? It's cool, right?

I want to share with you the first meaning behind the logo.

The visibly prominent piece of the logo is the stars.

The three stars are inspired by our Tennessee state flag

which represents the three grand divisions of Tennessee,

West, Middle and East Tennessee.

This is a perfect representation and applies to our

three Deaf schools in West, Middle and East Tennessee.

Maybe you noticed the graduation cap,

that there is only one with a cap and two without.

The reason is that only students who attend TSD Knoxville

are able to graduate with a high school diploma,

compared to WTSD and TSD Nashville which are pre-school through 6th grade.

Here at TSD Knoxville, students are able to continue through school and earn a high school diploma.

That's the reason that the one symbol has a graduation cap out of the three.

The third explanation is that the logo represents

and is an example of the sign for unity.

Our bilingual education approach demonstrates

the unity of establishing bilingual education for Deaf children.

Teachers and staff come together in unity

so that Deaf children will not experience frustration and barriers in communication.

Bilingual education allows students to be united and connected.

The final thing that is noticeable about the logo is the T.

Maybe you're thinking it obviously means Tennessee, the T being the first letter.

And you're right; however, as we discussed it,

we realized that the T has the horizontal line

which creates a bridge, and that matches our school goals.

If there were no bridge, how would Deaf children navigate

through the difficult frustrations of communication.

But with that bridge, they are able to adopt

language and bilingual education in addition to involvement in

activities, clubs, athletics, and the many different roles

in the life of students bridging them to a successful future.

And that is the other meaning of the T.

These four points are the main meanings

behind the TSD logo and how it applies to all three campuses.

Je Design has given the Cupra Ateca a healthy power boost and a visual makeover that makes it a bit more powerful than G-Power's proposal

The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder that powers the sporty compact SUV now boasts 360 PS (355 hp / 265 kW) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque on 98 octane fuel

The 60 PS (59 hp / 44 kW) and 50 Nm (37 lb-ft) of torque increase has dropped the 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) sprint time by 0.4 seconds, to 4.8

Top speed has also gone up from 247 km/h to 259 km/h (153-161 mph)

In addition to the ECU remap, the tuner has equipped the Cupra Ateca with wheel arch extensions and bumper protections in gloss black or matte silver

The vehicle rides 30 mm closer to the ground thanks to the lowering springs, and the whole setup ensures that wheels up to 10×20-inch in size, shod in 275/30 tires, fit just nicely

Je Design has a couple of 19- and 20-inch rims available for the sporty Ateca, which can be had with a black silk matte or polished face

Getting the tuner's bundle of aftermarket parts requires spending €7,103 (equal to $8,023), or €9,093 ($10,280) with the ECU remap and resulting power boost

Prices include tax but not fitting and painting, so the whole upgrade will probably end up surpassing the €10K mark

I think the real goal is to be out two to three

weekends a month traveling, getting as far away from home

as possible before we kinda need to turn the train

around and get back home.

Naturally falling into this idea where we're

camping out of the rig has become the most efficient

way to accomplish that goal.

We typically pack the same major pieces

every time we go camping so we always have

our sleeping bag, we always have the dog blankets,

we always have to have the Dometic CFX to hold our food

because we're not typical one-night campers

so we need enough food, we need enough supplies

to last us for as long as we're going.

I think the importance of cooking while camping

is it almost completes the experience

whether it be on a mountain or by a lake.

- It's one less thing to have to think about
