Waching daily May 2 2018

- Hey, what's up, everybody?

We're here at the world famous

Exploratorium in San Francisco

and before we get started, I need some water.

Why am I eating chips in the first place?

Excuse me, ma'am, do you guys

have a water fountain somewhere?

Right over there?

Thank you so much.

Well, folks, as water becomes more scarce,

drinking toilet water is gonna become a reality

for a lot of us,

so get used to it.

Is it just me or does it seem like there's more

news about water shortages?

Like, take what's happening in Cape Town, South Africa

where the city is in such short supply

that they're limiting residents' water

and fining people who go over.

It's so bad that government officials are even showing up

to the most heavy water users' houses

and publicly shaming them.

Just imagine, they just kick down your door

with cameras everywhere like, yo!

You flushed your toilet 10 times,

it's not even 9:00 a.m. yet.

That's a show I might watch, actually.

And I live in California where we just came out

of a really long drought where we had big water restrictions

like bans on watering lawns or washing cars

with hoses that don't have shut-off nozzles.

On the bright side, it was a good excuse

to have a dirty car.

So, with all these stories about water shortages,

is the world running out of water?

First, I wanna acknowledge that lack

of clean water is already a major problem

for many parts of the world.

Over two billion people end up having

to drink contaminated water

because they don't have access to the clean stuff,

and because of this, more than half a million

children die every year.

In fact, ensuring access to clean water

and sanitation is a major goal of the United Nations.

Now, it's no secret that we all need water to survive.

We drink it, we grow our food with it, we bathe in it,

and some of us even use it for water ballon fights.

And it's also used in a lot of industries,

like manufacturing and power plants.

And because water is so awesome,

we're using it up faster than we can replace it.

According to the World Health Organization,

by 2025, half of the world's population

won't have enough clean water

to meet their basic needs during certain times of the year

and that's a major problem.

So, you might be thinking, wait a minute,

isn't water a renewable resource?

I mean, we all learned about the water cycle.

Water doesn't just go away, it just changes states

as it evaporates, rains or snows, and melts.

And what about all those crazy rainstorms

and hurricanes we keep hearing about?

Those are dropping tons of water on the planet,

so we can't possibly be running short, can we?

Those are all really good points,

but it's a little more complicated than that.

I'll let my robot friend, Blocko, explain.

- Thanks, Miles.

Hey, there, everyone, I'm Blocko from Life Noggin.

So, a bit part of the problem is

that not all of the water on Earth is usable.

About 95.6% of it is in the oceans

which isn't exactly drinkable.

Of the remaining fresh water,

about 68% is stored in ice and glaciers,

so most of the Earth's drinking water comes

from fresh water lakes, rivers, streams, and groundwater.

Groundwater is all the water stored below

the Earth's surface, in soil, in between rocks,

and in aquifers.

As water evaporates, rains, snows, and melts,

it's constantly moving,

so some places can get lots of water

while others are super dry.

- Thanks for that, Blocko, it was good seeing you.

- You, too, Miles and don't forget to keep on thinking.

- And you stay above the noise.

Man, I love that guy.

So, as Blocko explained, water availability varies

by region, so it's not like one place

that's flush with water can necessarily give it

to a far away place in need.

And even when we get crazy rainstorms

in drought-stricken areas,

all that rain doesn't necessarily soak into the ground

where it can replenish groundwater and make itself useful.

Instead, it can create big problems like flooding

and mudslides.

So, while the world's not running out of water per se,

as our population grows, the demand for water will increase

and lack of usable water will become a real issue

for a lot of places.

In fact, according to the United Nations,

by 2030, lack of water could end up

displacing 700 million people.

That's more than double the population of the U.S.

So, why is this happening?

For one, some places are pumping

their groundwater faster than rain

and snowmelt can refill it.

In fact, some cities like Mexico City, Beijing,

and even places in California Central Valley are sinking

as the groundwater is drained.

Another reason, just bad water management.

I mean, not to point fingers or anything,

but that's partially why Cape Town

is in this whole water mess.

The national government didn't really respond well

to the city's warning about water shortages.

Then there's the problem of lack of infrastructure

or just bad infrastructure.

In the U.S., leaking pipes cause us

to waste six billion gallons of treated water a day.

That's equal to about 9,000 Olympic-size swimming pools

of water that goes to waste daily.

That's crazy, and climate change isn't helping the matter.

As Earth warms up, scientists anticipate that droughts

and floods will become more intense.

Okay, so that's the bad news,

but the good news is, we can do something about it.

For starters, we can get better at conserving water,

like replacing water-guzzling grass lawns

with native plants, taking shorter showers,

fixing leaks, buying water-efficient appliances,

and if it's yellow, let it mellow,

and this actually works.

During California's drought, urban areas cut water use

by 24% using these kinds of conservations efforts.

Then there's desalination plants

that turn ocean water into fresh water,

but they're also super expensive and energy intensive.

My personal favorite, though,

is to get better at recycling waste water.

Israel, for example, recycles 87% of their waste water

and uses it to water crops.

The next highest country is Spain

which recycles only 20% of their water.

And in California, we're getting closer

to actually drinking our recycled toilet water,

like Orange County super cleans it

and pumps it into the ground which eventually makes its way

to the drinking supply.

Don't worry, though, it's not like you're just

dipping your cup into the toilet.

This water passes all the health standards and taste tests.

Way to go, Orange County.

So, we wanna know, how worried are you

about water shortages

and what kinds of things would you be willing to do

to reduce your water use?

Let us know in the comments below.

Thanks, guys, bye.

And before I go, we gotta give a big thanks

to Life Noggin and Blocko,

you guys are awesome as always.

Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge with us.

Trump Is Lying About His Health - Duration: 1:44.

them to -- weird names that he

made up as time went on.

>> A spokesperson for Allan

Garten, that trump lawyer

released a statement saying at

the request of the white house,

Dr. Bornstein voluntarily turned

over the medical records to Mr.

Schiller.

The handoff which occurred well

over a year ago was peaceful,

cooperative and cordial.

Heidi, the issue of health came

up in the 2016 campaign.

Both candidates there.

Trump was 70 years old, Hillary

was almost 70 years old so you

had two older candidates

running.

The issue was raised.

Now we say how much do we know

about the health of Donald

Trump?

We had this letter from the

lawyer and we had this statement

from Dr. Jackson in the white

house.

How much do we actually know?

>> Really one of those irony is

dead moments, Steve, considering

how much fake -- actual fake

news was fanned about Hillary

Clinton's health during the

campaign.

As you rightly pointed out in

the introduction there, Donald

Trump did put out that letter

which said he was astonishingly

healthy.

He was amazingly healthy.

But in Hillary Clinton's letter,

she actually had real details.

She shared with us her

hypothyroidism, her seasonal

I think we even got a look at

her mammogram.

Now to find out that this was

fabricated or manufactured by

the trump campaign, the answer

to your question is we really

don't know much that this doctor

now is acknowledging that the

president basically dictated it

to him.

At the time we were told they

even had a limo waiting

downstairs for the letter and it

was done in about five minutes'

time.

Kellyanne Conway Is Still Super Pissed About Michelle Wolf's Jokes - Duration: 4:39.

Kellyanne Conway, counselor to the President of the United States is still super pissed

about the fact that Michelle Wolf made a joke about her at the Saturday evening White House

Correspondents' Dinner.

During a recent appearance on Sean Hannity's Fox News program, Kellyanne Conway went off

into this weird little diatribe about what happened Saturday night.

Take a look at the clip.

It's a little bit longer, but you got to watch it to the end, because this is really weird.

She opens a can of worms that I don't think she wanted to open.

Take a look at that.

Sean, in some ways, there was very little that was surprising on Saturday night, though.

The faux outrage from some people who look down at Twitter all day long and see the likes

of Sarah, and Ivanka, and me insulted, this just happened right in front of them where

they were all gussied up, so they couldn't deny it.

I mean, in some ways, it was just another day at the office.

They know that we're insulted [inaudible 00:00:58], but it doesn't make some people any less miserable

or us any less powerful and dutiful to the jobs that we have on behalf of the country

that we love.

I actually think both events Saturday night really helped President Trump.

First, he got to go to Michigan and tell ... he was in Washington, Michigan, touting-

So smart, yeah.

The economic progress of security, the historic nature of what's going on in Korea.

Then the event here in Washington helped him as well, because it fed right into all of

the cynicism, the skepticism, that a lot of Americans have about the mainstream media

writ large.

They have a 14% approval rating.

Let me ask you this.

Let me say something.

I spent tonight trying to find out how much Michelle Wolf was paid, and nobody will give

me a straight answer.

I called three people who were on the dais who actually picked up the phone.

No one will give me an answer.

Two said that they had no idea.

There aren't any kinds of [crosstalk 00:01:53] like that, no expenditures-

I'd like to know about the media's ... I'd like to know about anchors' and reporters'

financial holdings too, considering everyone cares about mine.

Well, no, but hold on.

But hold on.

The reason I say this is, we're told this is a scholarship dinner.

Yeah, she should pay for your entertainment, but I feel really badly for those students.

The president and the vice president met them at the White House.

They took pictures with them the other day.

I had occasion all throughout-

Right.

I'm running out of time.

[crosstalk 00:02:15] at different events to meet these scholarship winners.

I feel sorry for them, because they were almost an afterthought that night.

I don't want anybody to say this was about them.

This was about the First Amendment.

When the President of the White House Correspondents' Association stood up and said, "An attack

on one journalist is an attack on all journalists-"

You know what, Kellyanne?

You're absolutely right.

If an attack on one woman or two women, as you say, is an attack on all women, then let's

talk about attacks on women.

Specifically, let's talk about the attack from your boss, "I moved on her like a ****." How

does that play out, because that to me, sounds like an actual physical, sexual attack on

a woman.

How about "Grab 'em by the *****"? How does that play out when you're feigning outrage

over the fact that a female comedian made a joke about you?

There are real attacks on women happening in this country.

According to at least 19 different women right now, some of those attacks came from your

boss, unwanted sexual advances.

But you just want to gloss over those.

You've actually said that these women are just liars, that none of this is true.

But a comedian, somebody who was paid, and according to you, you can't find out how much,

but you damn sure want to know, she was paid to go up there and basically roast people.

She spent a good amount of time roasting the press as well.

But you, because it was on you personally for one joke, you can't handle it.

You're willing to overlook the allegations of sexual assault against the President of

the United States, but a female comedian making a joke about you, well, that's just crossing

a line, and something needs to happen here, right?

That's not how it works.

There are problems that women in this country face, and you've probably faced them too throughout

your career.

Those are the ones that need to be addressed, but you going after this woman for making

a couple jokes, which she was paid to do, if that's the biggest thing you have to be

outraged at, then I'm actually jealous of you, because I would love it if I had nothing

worse to worry about in my life than a comedian making a couple jokes about me.

Prophecy | Moses is One Of the Two Witnesses & Will Be Martyred In Jerusalem | Sadhu Sundar Selvaraj - Duration: 17:57.

and then after that another great blessing is waiting for him (Moses)

besides that let's say maybe half an hour or one hour visit on the Mount of Transfiguration (Matthew 17)

and that was not in the flesh it was in the spirit but God is

going to abundantly grant his request (To enter the promised Land Israel) in the last days and your eyes are going to see that

where he will be physically here for three and a half years

to the great ministry of the two witnesses and then eventually get the martyrs crown

when the two witnesses will be killed and they will be buried in or not even buried

they will be caught up alive to heaven

see this is a good God who always

does good for his children

Prophecy

Moses is one of the two witnesses and he will be martyred in Jerusalem at the end of 3.5 years (Revelation 11:7)

'And I will give power unto my two witnesses and they shall prophesy for 1260 days - 42 months - three and a half years clothed in sackcloth' - Revelation 11:3

These are the two olive trees and two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth and if any man hurt them, fire proceeds from their mouth and destroys them, if any man hurt them in the same manner he must be killed - Revelation 11:4-5

Revelation 11 and verse 8 about these two witnesses now what happens and their

dead bodies oh they're so mad so they kill these after three and a half years

they kill the two witnesses and the bodies will lie in the street of the

great city of Jerusalem which is spiritually called Sodom and Egypt

people don't ever understand that God literally calls Jerusalem sometimes if

their sinning calls it's Sodom call it them Egypt

and they of the people and

Kindred's and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and a half

wait a minute how they're gonna see it ?

how's all the world gonna see that ?

TV

who said TV ?

somebody said TV

I really believed that

I believed that for decades I believe that a long time ago

we see everything else right now

when those rabbis were killed and we see their dead bodies

Lori, remember we were there we were a few minutes from that temple where the

Rabbi's I think there was four of them that were killed that day

Just Rabbi's

okay now did you guys see at home

you probably saw it before we did

you probably saw the dead bodies before we did

and it came on your phone here

what we saw it in the paper

and we were in the car so we didn't have a television with us

no but we heard it on the radio

we we did

it was crazy wasn't it ?

oh it was

but the whole world saw (Revelation 11:9)

so what was what's what's so hard here ?

and they , verse 9 this is what it says

and the people and Kindred's and tongues and nations

hold on hold on

the people, Kindreds and nations with tongues are in there (Revekation 11:9)

people, kindreds, tongues and nations

what does that mean come on Zack help me

that means everybody

people, kindreds, tongues all the different time zones that means the whole world

that means every nation every tongue every kindred is going to see

their dead bodies

how ?

CNN

Fox News

we have a conservative out there crying out for Fox News

all the news

it's gonna come right on your phone

you are going to see right on this

it's going to come on the internet

it's gonna just come it's gonna come through every means

every eye shall see ( Revelation 11:9 )

is that it ?

the poorest people in the ghetto

Sasha come on

how do some of those kids

they can't afford to buy shoes

if you don't have anything else you have a phone

you have a good cell phone that you can make sure you can talk to your friends

so how did God figure out how every eye is going to see now he could

supernaturally do it of course yeah

but every eye is going to see it it

it's happening because man has put this thing together

their dead bodies are gonna sit there lay there three days and a half

isn't it funny it's three and a half days or three and a half years ?

God's numbers just kind of

and they of the people in the kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies

will be there three days and a half

and they'll not suffer

you have verse nine there ?

and they refuse to bury them (Revelation 11:9b)

people who live on the earth will rejoice and be happy because those two are dead (Revelation 11:10)

go on read it

they will send each other gifts because

these two prophets brought much suffering

the word is conviction (Greek)

the suffering & torment you know that word is conviction in the Greek ?

that means the people hate conviction

you see and they got under conviction

these guys were preaching out there they were street preachers

I got a new regard for street preachers after this

but they tormented those on earth so the

so the news must have been broadcasting a lot of Moses and Elijah

it's going to happen this is going to happen

alright now listen to me

hold on here a little bit

how can you get even with dead bodies ?

what do you do to the dead ?

how do you desecrate the dead ?

Don't bury them (Revelation 11:9b)

In Revelation chapter 11 there will be two men there identified as two witnesses

there symbolism are two olive trees that have the anointing oil flowing through them

that's an imagery by the way found in the book of Zachariah

and they will have such power now this is real important I want to give you a nugget here

they will have such power that they will be able to to shut the heavens for forty-two months where it does not rain

they will be able to have the sign of fire coming down out of heaven

so here's what happens

when you have these prophets

if you have a man that appears in the city

and all of a sudden he says we're going

to construct a place of worship

right up here on the mountain where the previous temples were

watch this anybody who comes against him gets instantly judged

I mean he can shut the heavens he can call fire down

and there's one thing you have to understand that when those types of signs and wonders are activated

in the Tribulation Period there's nobody going to touch these two guys (first 3.5 years)

I mean I saw that just like mess with me you're gonna drop dead

BAM they're dead !

you think anybody's gonna mess with them ?

absolutely not (first 3.5 years)

Antichrist comes in and the restrainer is lifted 2 Thessalonians 2

and he's permitted to kill those two witnesses (Revelation 11:7)

they lay their dead bodies in the streets for three and a half days

they're laying there in the open just rotting

you know in the Sun after four days the body begins to deteriorate

and then it says a voice from heaven says come up here (Revelation 11:12)

and they are resurrected in front of everybody

I mean can you imagine what that's going to be like ?

all the sudden they get caught up and then it says that

an earthquake happens and shakes the city and divides it a third of the city

is taken down and there are 7,000 that died now remember

what in the Old Testament it says

that in the time of Elisha 7,000 had not bowed their knee

now we 7,000 dying in the tribulation say it's a parallel there

even though there was one great failure in his life (Moses)

and for that he paid a heavy price yet

the grace of God was upon his life the favor of God was upon his life and

no other person was as great as the prophet Moses

and that is why God gave him a very great honor

more than what he asked

he only asked God to go into the promised land (Deuteronomy 3:23)

together with the children of Israel

so which got denied him but

I tell you something about the character of God okay

he's too good a god

but I like to say three good why do we always say too good

we can say three good you know ?

three good or four good right ?

don't know why we always had two good anyway let's change it

three good

the three goodness of God is this

when he likes you whatever you ask

he will always give to you

if not now he keeps it in his heart

he keeps it in his heart

and when the right time comes

without you expecting it at that time

he will grant your request more than what you asked

ok to give you one good proof

now this prophet Moses asked to see the promised land and to enter the promised land (Deuteronomy 3:23)

so God said no I cannot grant you because you sinned (Numbers 20:11)

so sin requires judgment

so you are penalized you cannot enter (Deuteronomy 3:26)

so but Moses if you

if you read the passage very carefully you will see behind the scenes

and I can tell you some things from my personal walk and conversation with Moses

he has shared how his heart felt when he was totally denied

you know I saw him in a vision

when even after praying and God said no (Deuteronomy 3:26)

he was so broken he sat in one corner

and he was crying and crying and crying for his great mistake

foolish mistake that he did

then he lost his great call

the call is not just to lead in the wilderness you know ?

the call is to bring into the promised land

so that was the climax of his fall so he missed it

and then see how God blessed him

thousands of years later then the Lord Jesus Christ was transfigured and (Matthew 17)

someone must bring a message to the Lord Jesus

so the heavenly selection committee received a proposal of names who shall be sent

so, hey don't laugh, this is true

it happens like that, if you don't believe me

I'll give you scriptural proof for that

Isaiah chapter 6

the Lord Jesus wanted to send somebody to do a work so he asked who can I send

so many people put up their hands right

then even Isaiah put up his hands and said I'll go

okay let's see eeny meeny miny moe okay you

see Isaiah was selected

in the same way you all are seated here because you have been pre-selected

you didn't come here on your own you are pre-selected

so the selection committee saw the names and suddenly God remembered

Oh this Moses wanted to be in that Land (Deuteronomy 3:23)

see it was thousands of years ago

but then God kept the request in his heart

all right grant his request (Deuteronomy 3:23)

first name on the list picked

and then the other name okay who is the other one?

because everything must be established in the mouth of two or three witnesses

okay let's send another one let's send Elijah

so the two came and see his feet touched on the mountain

on the very land where he was denied to go

and not only that if he had just brought the children of Israel to Canaan Land

he would have brought them in and then died there

but now he had a greater privilege of not only stepping on the land

but also seeing the Lord Jesus Christ in the flesh

the Messiah of Israel in the flesh and better still

give a message to the Lord Jesus

how many of you will have this kind of privilege ?

God calls us to go ahead and give a message to the Lord Jesus

today you know no such thing okay none of us will ever get that privilege

you can say Lord I have a message for you

only two persons had such a blessed privilege and honor

no one else will have

and then look at that

so that experience on the Mount of Transfiguration lasted for some time

it was not a brief moment you know

it was okay we will not go into too much detail all that okay

and then after that another great blessing is waiting for him

besides that let's say maybe half an hour or one hour visit

on the Mount of Transfiguration and that was not in the flesh it was in the spirit

but God is going to abundantly grant his request (Deuteronomy 3:23)

in the last days

and your eyes are going to see that

where he will be physically here for three and a half years

to do the great ministry of the two witnesses

and then eventually get the martyrs crown

when the two witnesses will be killed

and they will be buried in or not even buried they be caught up alive to heaven (Revelation 11:12)

see this is a good God who always does good for his children

when God appeared before the prophet Moses

when he revealed his glory

the very first thing he told Moses was

the Lord God

good God

that's the first revelation you know

goodness full of goodness and truth

so keep this in your heart each time you come before God

that is the secret to prayer

secret to coming before God

let your hearts be filled with the knowledge of the goodness of God

when your heart is filled with the knowledge of the goodness of God

you can always come before him with an uncondemned heart

and you can always come before him with boldness and confidence

because he is a good god

though he's a God of justice

god of holiness

he is a good God

Amen

okay that was just the appetizer

What is The Testimony of Jesus Christ ?

What is GIMP?! - Softlocked - Duration: 2:07.

Need to whip up some 2D assets or tweak a few images, but don't have the budget for

those hefty industry-standard subscriptions?

Well, we'd recommend giving GIMP a gander!

Back in what seems to be the golden age of artistic pipelines, two students studying

at the University of California spent a semester developing a project for their eXperimental

Computing Facility.

The following year, they released a build to the public under the title of General Image

Manipulation Program, which they would later change to GNU to reflect its integration into

the GNU Project: a unix-like operating system with user freedom as its core driving principle.

True to that title, whether you're working on PC, Mac or Linux, GIMP is available for

download at the reasonable rate of nothing.

All it costs is a few seconds of your time and some space on your hard drive, which we

think could be called quite a bargain.

And as an open-source tool, there's a team of passionate volunteers behind the scenes

developing the software and keeping it competitive with the other offerings on the market.

If you want to take your work to the next level, GIMP can also handle scripted image

manipulation through programming languages like C++, Python and a handful of others.

The program is nothing if not flexible, so a lot of scripts and plug-ins are developed

by the community!

If all that functionality seems like a lot to process, though, the manual is built right

into the software and accessible on their official website.

Not only is it available in seventeen different languages, but there's so many hyperlinks

in there that you're sure to find what you're looking for in its pages.

They also have documentation for developers and script authors to consult, so if you'd

like to try your hand at extending the tool for yourself, there's a bit of guidance

available to nudge you in the right direction and mailing lists to join to keep up with

production.

If learning is your aim, you can view a series of tutorials on their website, too.

They're presented in a simple text-and-image format, so you'll be able to walk through

steps with visuals to help you find your bearings.

They have a rundown of the basics for beginners to cut their teeth, but also showcase advanced

material for the more experienced users to sink their teeth into: like how to automate

workflows with Python.

With all these resources at your fingertips, we're sure you'll want to have this dingo

on your desktop!

My iPhone Screen Is Cracked! Here's The Real Fix. - Duration: 2:39.

Hi guys, David and David here from Payette Forward and in this video we are going to

show you what to do when your iPhone screen is cracked.

First of all, we're sorry that it's cracked.

That's no fun.

We want to first thing we want to do to speed safe here.

When your iPhone screen cracks you get a lot of tiny glass shards poking up from the screen,

right?

You want to protect yourself that's loud.

Sorry.

So you want to use the tape?

What is this packaging tape packing tape is good all forms of tape like this.

You don't have any tape put in a plastic bag that works too.

Yep.
