Apple releases iOS 11.4 for iPhone & iPad with AirPlay 2, Messages in iCloud ● Tech News ● #TECH - Duration: 2:37.
Apple released today the final iOS 11.4 software update for supported iPhone, iPad, and iPod
touch devices with a handful of new features and lots of security and bug fixes.
iOS 11.4 comes more than a month after the iOS 11.3.1 maintenance release to further
improve the security, compatibility, and stability of iOS devices.
It's the first release that brings the Messages in iCloud feature allowing users to store
their Messages conversations in their iCloud accounts for easy synchronization across devices.
Once users update to iOS 11.4, they will be prompted by the Messages app to turn on the
Messages in iCloud feature,
which Apple said that it's automatically enabled for users who already have two-factor authentication
enabled on their iCloud account, as well as iCloud Backup active.
Another long-anticipated feature that landed in this maintenance release of iOS 11 is AirPlay
2, a functionality that brings stereo pairing and multi-room audio support to Apple's HomePod
smart speaker, as well as the Apple TV.
Other than that, iOS 11.4 fixes an issue that could prevent users from logging in or accessing
files on Google Docs, Google Drive, and Gmail in the Safari web browser,
an issue that prevented data sync in the Health app, an issue with CarPlay where sound could
become distorted,
another Health issue that won't let users to change which apps can access the data,
and a problem when selecting music from iPhone when playing music over Bluetooth.
All users using a previous version of Apple's iOS 11 mobile operating system are urged to
update their devices to the iOS 11.4 release as soon as possible as it may improve the
overall stability, security, and reliability of their devices.
The iOS 11.4 update is now available for download and installation through OTA updates.

How Jurgen Klopp convinced Fabinho to snub Manchester United for Liverpool - Duration: 3:08.
Jurgen Klopp secretly met with Fabinho and convinced the Brazilian to join Liverpool over Manchester United and a number of other European giants, according to reports.
The Merseysiders moved on quickly from their Champions League final heartbreak by announcing the arrival of Fabinho from Monaco in a deal worth around £44m on Monday night, surprising much of the football world.
But while Liverpool's deal appeared to come out of nowhere, Yahoo Sport report that the club had been working on the transfer for weeks with Klopp even speaking to Fabinho.
Klopp sold Liverpool to Fabinho during a meeting, with the 24-year-old thrilled with what the German coach told him about his vision of the club and plans for the future.
Fabinho took an instant shine to the charismatic Klopp, and after the meeting he immediately told his representative to stop talks with all other interested clubs.
Jose Mourinho – who shares agent Jorge Mendes with Fabinho – was among the suitors and tried to sign Fabinho last summer, though Monaco were adamant they would not allow yet another key first-team player leave after such a mass exodus.
United have remained in the market for a new midfielder this summer, and look likely to sign Fabinho's compatriot Fred who made the Selecao squad for the World Cup ahead of the former Monaco man.
Fabinho, who has scored 29 goals in his three seasons in Monaco despite being a holding midfielder, also spoke with fellow Brazilian Roberto Firmino about moving to Anfield.
'We spoke a bit more about how the city was, about the infrastructure of the club, the city and we also spoke about the coaches and how they do their work,' Fabinho told Liverpool's website.
'So I was able to know a bit more about Liverpool through Firmino. I had been with him at the Brazilian national team on a few occasions.
"I know he's a fantastic person, his background is from nice people. He is also very good for someone who comes to a new country, a new city – someone who speaks the same language. This will of course make the adaptation much easier.'.

The procession held at LTV premises was led by Yoruba actor, Saidi Balogun.
The actress died of breast cancer on Wednesday, May 16, a news which took most of her colleagues by surprise.
She was buried in Canada on Thursday, May 17 according to Islamic rites.
