Man United ready to pay £122m for Bale but Bayern and another Premier League club are interested - Duration: 3:01.Manchester United ready to pay £122 million for Gareth Bale but Bayern and another Premier League club are interested
MANCHESTER UNITED are prepared to pay £122 million to bring Gareth Bale back to the Premier League, according to reports.
The Welshman opened the door to potential offers following Real Madrids Champions League win on Saturday.
Bale, 28, came off the bench to score a sensational overhead kick and a speculative long-range effort spilled by Loris Karius as Real clinched a 13th European Cup.
But after the game, Bale said he needs to be playing regular football, which has not been the case this season at the Bernabeu, and will sit down with his agent to discuss his future.
And United look to be the frontrunners in capturing the Welshman as they look to sign a winger, according to as.com.
The Old Trafford club would pay Real Madrid £122 million, which would shatter the current British record of £89 million United paid for Paul Pogba in 2016, and Bale would receive a net salary of £26.2 million, triple what he earns at Real Madrid, it is reported.
That high salary demand could put off a potential return to Tottenham, who are also reported to be interested in Bales signature.
Bale left White Hart Lane for a then-world record fee of £85 million in 2013 but the chance to go back to north London may be on the cards if the winger is prepared to take a pay cut.
Bayern Munich also want to take Bale and will hope his signature could help them to a first Champions League since 2013.
But there are concerns that the German club will not be able to pay Real Madrids asking price.
Bayern spent a Bundesliga record €41.5 million to bring Corentin Tolisso to the Allianz Arena last summer but would have to treble that record to have any chance of capturing Bale.
SunSports chief sports writer Dave Kidd, though, believes the Welshman should park his ego and take a pay cut to fulfil his dreams.
Rumours that Cristiano Ronaldo could also be leaving Real Madrid were fuelled yesterday when their new kit launch omitted the five-time Ballon dOr winner.

Liverpool news: Mohamed Salah criticised for shoulder injury suffered against Real Madrid - Duration: 2:18.Liverpool news: Mohamed Salah criticised for shoulder injury suffered against Real Madrid
That's according to former Aston Villa striker Dion Dublin.
The Egyptian was forced off during the first half of last weekend's Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid.
Salah left the pitch in tears with a suspected dislocated shoulder following a challenge from Sergio Ramos.
Initial fears suggested the 25-year-old could miss this summer's World Cup but it is likely he'll recover in time for the tournament in Russia.
There have been suggestions that Ramos injured Salah on purpose after the defender appeared to lock his opponent's arm before falling on him awkwardly.
"I don't know why anybody would think that you can do that on purpose." BBC 5 Live pundit Dion Dublin But Dublin has dismissed the suggestions, insisting it was a freak incident that Salah could have avoided.
I don't know how and I don't know why anybody would think that you can do that on purpose, that specific injury on purpose to a fellow person, not so much a footballer, he told BBC 5 Live.
A footballer should be able to fall in a certain way because he knows his body better than maybe somebody that's not a footballer..
Dublin was discussing Salah's injury alongside former Chelsea winger Pat Nevin, who agreed with his colleague.
He added: You've fallen like that a million times, Dion, haven't you?.

Kale, beetroot: Nutritious ingredients for healthy food - Duration: 4:43.Kale, beetroot: Nutritious ingredients for healthy food
With people becoming more health conscious, several restaurants have started introducing dishes with healthy ingredients like kale, beetroot and quinoa. These dishes offer wholesome goodness as it is not just good on nutrient value but also on taste, say experts.
New Delhi: With people becoming more health conscious, several restaurants have started introducing dishes with healthy ingredients like kale, beetroot and quinoa. These dishes offer wholesome goodness as it is not just good on nutrient value but also on taste, say experts.
Rajesh Sawhney, Co-founder of Healthie.in and Rajiv Kumar, CEO of Culinate, have listed some of the healthy ingredients that restaurants and cafes have started using in their dishes: * Quinoa is a seed that belongs to the spinach/chard family, which is why it is called a pseudo-cereal or pseudo-grain.
Quinoa is rich in protein and a lot of other vital nutrients such as magnesium, dietary fiber and vitamin B. It is also a good source of antioxidants called flavonoids and its a healthy alternative to rice.
* Kale is high in fiber, low on calorie and has zero fat. It is one of the most common ingredients in the healthy dishes prepared by restaurants.
Apart from being highly nutritious, kale is also high in antioxidants and has anti-inflammatory properties.
It can be added to pasta, green smoothies or can be simply tossed in a salad. * Chia seeds are a good source of Omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, antioxidants, iron, and calcium.
A 28 gram, or 1ounce, serving of chia seeds also contains 5.6 grams of protein. Hence, they make it on the menu of most healthy food restaurants.
These seeds can be added to smoothies, oatmeal or yogurt. * Nuts are often counted as good fats and are also rich in fiber and Omega-3.
Plant sterols are a substance present in nuts that helps in lowering the cholesterol level in the body. Nuts are a great source of L-arginine, which make the artery walls more flexible and less prone to blood clots that can block blood flow.
You can make a nutty trail mix and simply munch on nuts in between meals or add them to your stir-fry. * Activated charcoal is a natural ingredient that helps in flushing out toxins from the body.
It not only helps in the detoxification of the body but also helps in digestive cleansing by alleviating problems like gas and bloating. Activated charcoal also helps in fighting the signs of ageing. Healthy restaurants incorporate activated charcoal in their healthy drinks and also in the breads and buns used for their special sandwiches and burgers.
* Beetroots contain valuable nutrients that may help lower your blood pressure, fight cancer and inflammation, boost your stamina, and support detoxification. It is an amazing source of iron but is often ignored due to its peculiar taste.
Beetroots can be added to salads, smoothies or you could even add beetroot to your chapati dough to get that much-needed iron intake.

Always For Me Talks with Plus Size Models about Body Positivity (part. 3) - Duration: 2:44.[intro music]
>> MAXEY: I laugh.
Sometimes I read these comments and I'm like,
"that is so funny, like how could you
how do you think of these terrible things?"
I mean, for the last 10 years,
And the last 8 years for you,
We have been rejected
by hundreds of people.
We're constantly told, "no".
So, I mean, as a model we do develop a thick skin.
And as an Instagrammer, you probably do as well.
Most people who don't have thick skins
don't really put themselves out there the way we do.
But... it's really laughable how people are just so insensitive.
They hate themselves so much,
to put energy into trying to hate somebody else.
It's just...
I mean, it's funny but it's also like really sad.
>> CARALYN: That's another thing too, is like
these people that are sitting, behind the comfort of their screens,
or their keyboards,
would they actually say that to you in person?
I mean, I'm pretty lucky to not have too many enemies at this point,
but that doesn't mean I don't get them.
And, so, they'll be people who are like
"You're not plus enough, you're not this enough, you're not that enough."
And so, I think, what I've learned as a model,
as an influencer, whatever, Instagrammer.
It's just a matter of finding that healthy balance of
"what's my happy medium?"
You know, I'm always gonna be not enough, too much, of this, of that.
>>MAXEY: I've always felt like I was a protector and a guardian of youth,
like overweight youth, which is like so funny.
But I really have always kind of felt that way.
That I've always wanted to protect those girls,
because, I was them.
And, I know that I don't really get hurt by things as easily as a lot of women do.
And, honestly, I could not tell you how I got that way.
But, I kind of feel good about the fact that
people can say these hurtful things to me,
and it doesn't really phase me.
And then I'll get like, armies of women fighting back,
being like, "she's great!
Don't say these things!"
You know, people who support me and
in a way, it almost looks like they're empowering themselves.
So, it's kinda cool that I can do that for women.
>> CARALYN: Absolutely.
Just to add onto that quickly is,
almost I feel like, this responsibility of this community that I've created
of women from all over the world, all different types of walks of life.
That support each other and are kind to each other.
And even if just for that one second of day,
where they're scrolling through and they see something
that brings positivity and light to their day,
That, that makes it all worth it for me.
To have that community, that sense of,
My "girl gang" as I call 'em.
That sense of helping each other, supporting each other out.

UAE jails activist for 10 years over social media posts - Duration: 4:53.United Arab Emirates jails activist Ahmad Mansoor for 10 years over social media posts, reports say Leading Emirati rights activist Ahmed Mansoor has been sentenced to 10 years in prison and fined 1 million dirhams ($359,000) for criticising the Government in social media posts, according to local news reports
Key points:Mansoor has been convicted of defaming the United Arab Emirates on Twitter and FacebookHe was acquitted of cooperating with a "terrorist organisation"Mansoor has been sentenced to 10 years imprisonment with a further three years surveillance The National, an Abu Dhabi-based newspaper, reported Mansoor was found guilty of insulting the "status and prestige of the UAE" and its leaders
It said Mansoor can appeal the State Security Court ruling through the Federal Supreme Court
Another UAE outlet, the Dubai-based Gulf News said the defendant, identified only as "AMS" by his initials, would be under surveillance for three years after prison
It said the defendant, who had a court-appointed lawyer, was convicted on Tuesday (local time) of defaming the United Arab Emirates on Twitter and Facebook
He was acquitted on other charges of cooperating with a "terrorist organisation" outside the country, news reports said
Human Rights Watch (HRW) condemned Mansoor's sentencing, saying it exposed the UAE's inability "to tolerate the mildest of criticisms from a genuine reformer"
Mansoor was the recipient of the prestigious Martin Ennals Award for Human Rights Defenders in 2015
He was also a member of HRW's advisory committee on the Mideast and North Africa and a member of the Gulf Centre for Human Rights' advisory board
He was arrested in March 2017 when security forces raided his home in the emirate of Ajman, confiscating computers and phones
Amnesty International said his iPhone had been targeted using elite spyware in an attempt to turn it into a tracking device and find out who his contacts were
The incident led to Apple issuing a security update to the iPhone in August 2016, according to Amnesty
In the weeks leading up to his arrest, Mansoor had criticised the imprisonment of other activists in the UAE, including Nasser bin-Ghaith, an academic and economist who was sentenced to 10 years after his criticism of Emirati and Egyptian authorities
Human Rights Watch previously reported Mansoor had also used Twitter to draw attention to rights violations committed by the Saudi-led coalition at war in Yemen, of which the UAE is an active member
The charges Mansoor was found guilty of apparently fall under the country's 2012 cybercrimes law, which HRW said authorities in the UAE had used to imprison numerous activists
Mansoor had previously been detained in 2011 and sentenced to three years in prison for insulting top officials
He was pardoned later that year by the country's president, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, but was banned from traveling abroad
