Waching daily May 29 2018

More than eight long years after Mega Man 10 was released for the Wii, PlayStation 3,

and Xbox 360, the beloved Blue Bomber is finally stepping back into the spotlight later this

year on October 2nd, when Mega Man 11 is scheduled to release on all current-generation platforms.

That's right: not only was I fortunate enough for Capcom to invite me to their offices last

week to get some early hands-on time with Mega Man 11, they were armed with a release

date almost as soon as I walked in the door!

Unfortunately, while this October 2nd release date was supposed to remain a secret and I

was excited to start this preview with such an exciting morsel of information, PlayStation

Singapore had other plans and accidentally leaked the date — as well as some basic

gameplay details — a few days ago.

If you familiarized yourself with those basic gameplay details, then you may have already

heard of the "Double Gear System" that plays such a key role in every aspect of Mega

Man's latest adventure.

Indeed, it's that same Double Gear System that governs those mysterious new red and

blue gears that can be seen underneath Mega Man's life bar in the reveal trailer for

Mega Man 11.

But now that I've gone hands-on with two full stages from the game, I can finally go

into detail about how those gears work.

But let's back up a bit.

As little as Capcom has revealed about Mega Man 11's gameplay or lineup of Robot Masters

so far, they've said even less about its story, so let's start there.

As it turns out, the Double Gear System is the long-forgotten subject of research Dr.

Light and Dr. Wily did during their days at university together, way before Rock was even

a glint in Dr. Light's eye.

However, because any robot that utilizes the Double Gear System must be overclocked beyond

their normal limits in order to handle it, it was ultimately deemed to be too risky to

use for the obvious dangers it posed to robotkind.

Of course, Dr. Wily — fresh off of yet another defeat at Mega Man's hands — recalls this

research and decides to use it toward the creation of a brand-new batch of overclocked

Robot Masters equipped with the Double Gear System.

As you might expect, Dr. Light soon realizes that overclocking Mega Man and equipping him

with the Double Gear System is the only way the Blue Bomber will have a chance at putting

a stop to Wily's latest attempt at world domination.

Naturally, Dr. Light is hesitant to do this because of the dangers posed to his beloved

creation, but Mega Man, ever the self-sacrificer, is having none of that: if there are innocent

people in need of protection, he's ready to do whatever it takes to save the day.

And thus the stage is set for the Blue Bomber's latest adventure.

But only super diehard Mega Man fans like myself care about the story — and indeed,

one of the Capcom reps I spoke to said that even though the story plays a more prominent

role here in Mega Man 11 than it did in 9 and 10, neither should we necessarily expect

a significant amount of narrative focus.

Which brings us to the most important question of all: how does it feel to actually play

Mega Man 11?

After all, sitting down to play a brand-new, current-generation Mega Man game in 2018 is

not an experience very many of us thought we'd ever have.

On that note, I'm happy to report that Mega Man 11 feels great.

The controls are as immediate and responsive as ever, with Mega Man running, jumping, and

shooting on a dime like he pretty much always has.

If I had to make a general comparison, I would say everything feels a lot — but not exactly

— like Mega Man: Powered Up, which is definitely a good thing by any measure.

And because this is the first and only truly contemporary mainline Mega Man game since

the PS1's Mega Man 8, Capcom has seen fit to utilize some of the same modern design

sensibilities in order to further streamline Mega Man 11's controls: for example, Rush

abilities are now assigned to a dedicated button — in my case, the Triangle button

since the demo I played was running on a PS4 — and instead of scrolling between special

weapons using the shoulder buttons, you now select them simply by moving the right analog

stick in one of eight directions.

Speaking of the shoulder buttons, they serve a far more important purpose now: activating

and deactivating the Double Gear System!

I've already talked about how the Double Gear System serves as the anchoring point

for Mega Man 11's story, but it's also the chief new mechanic that sets Mega Man

11's gameplay apart from prior entries in the series.

The Double Gear System, represented by the strange, new red and blue gears underneath

Mega Man's life bar, can temporarily enhance Mega Man's abilities in one of two different

ways.

The red Power Gear strengthens Mega Man's buster fire, making his signature Mega Buster

weapon capable of doling out a ton of damage in a short amount of time if you find yourself

in some immediate need of major firepower.

The blue Speed Gear, on the other hand, makes Mega Man so fast that it actually slows down

not just the enemies, but the entire world around him.

This has the obvious effect of slowing down fast enemies and making them more vulnerable,

but it can also make stage hazards like falling blocks, moving platforms, and intermittent

electrical charges easier to deal with.

It's almost like bullet time that you can activate whenever you want, which is REALLY

cool.

Both of these powers can be switched on or off at will with a press of the left or right

shoulder button, but there is a catch.

Anytime you use either Power or Speed Gear, a red bar appears over Mega Man's head and

quickly starts filling up.

If this bar fills completely, Mega Man will temporarily overheat and be unable to use

the Double Gear System at all for a short period of time, forcing you to literally switch

gears on the fly.

But the Double Gear System's impact on gameplay doesn't end there.

When, and only when Mega Man's health drops into the critical range, at about 4 ticks

or so, you gain access to a super-powerful Overdrive Mode that is activated by pressing

both shoulder buttons simultaneously.

As you might have guessed, this Overdrive Mode combines the effect of the Power and

Speed Gears, strengthening the Mega Buster while also slowing down everything around

Mega Man.

But it also unlocks a super-powerful charge shot exclusive to Overdrive Mode that can

absolutely tear through anything in your way — including bosses.

But there's a catch with Overdrive Mode, too.

If the bar above Mega Man's head fills up completely during Overdrive Mode, Mega Man

will begin sparking and overheat so much that not only is the Double Gear System temporarily

off-limits, even regular charge shots become unusable for awhile, meaning you're limited

to basic, single-fire buster shots.

And in case you thought Overdrive Mode might magically restore Mega Man's health, think

again.

On the contrary, Overdrive Mode leaves you with just one tick of health — which may

be manageable in the middle of a stage if you can find a health pickup, but is downright

lethal during boss fights — unless you want to burn an E Tank, that is.

In these ways, the Double Gear System elegantly folds a new element of constant meter management

into Mega Man's tried-and-true gameplay formula, differentiating Mega Man 11 from

past titles in a genuinely interesting, meaningful way while staying true to the series' roots.

But it's not all about the Double Gear System; Mega Man 11 also serves as an important reminder

that Mega Man's slide and charge shot can coexist with well-balanced difficulty.

Mega Man 9 and 10 removed these options as part of their back-to-basics approach, but

less isn't always more, and Mega Man 11 proves to be sufficiently challenging while

once again giving Mega Man access to his full repertoire of moves.

And speaking of difficulty, Capcom plans to make Mega Man 11 approachable for players

of all skill levels in the form of four different difficulty settings that change things up

beyond just modified damage values.

For example, the easiest setting — called Newcomer — gives the player unlimited Beat

Calls, ensuring that Mega Man's faithful bird will swoop in and pull you out of any

pit you may happen to fall into.

As a long-time fan, I defaulted to the Veteran difficulty — the second-hardest setting

— and was met with a stiff challenge that, in true series fashion, lessened considerably

as I became familiar with the ins and outs of the two playable levels and got a feel

for enemy placement and boss patterns.

Speaking of enemies and their placement, the Capcom reps I demoed the game with both confirmed

that one of the development team's major goals for Mega Man 11 is to actively encourage

players to experiment with the game's special weapons and not lean too heavily on the Mega

Buster.

I could definitely sense this as I played, but because there were no special weapons

available in the demo I played, I had to settle for brute-forcing my way through with the

Mega Buster while imagining how I might use Block Man and Fuse Man's weapons to deal

with inconveniently-placed enemies more efficiently.

That's right, Block Man and Fuse Man are officially the first of Mega Man 11's Robot

Masters to be fully revealed.

Fans got a sneak peek of Block Man back when Game Informer published their Mega Man 11

cover story, where he was tentatively identified as "Brick Man," but we now know his real

name as well as how the boss fight against him plays out.

I don't want to go into too much detail about that since discovering each new Robot

Master and figuring out how best to overcome them is part of the fun of any new Mega Man

game, but suffice to say, one of my very favorite moments of the demo came when Block Man overclocked

himself — or is that overBLOCKED himself? — and turned into a huge, golem-like monster.

Fuse Man, on the other hand, is an entirely new reveal, with his stage taking place in

what seems to be a power plant or some other electrical facility.

Again, to preserve that joy of discovery for Mega Man fans I'd rather let the footage

speak for itself here rather than provide moment-by-moment details on how I eventually

finished the stage and defeated Fuse Man.

There is one other thing I want to mention about Fuse Man, though — or rather, his

stage.

In a twist, the music for Fuse Man's stage is the same song that can be heard in Mega

Man 11's reveal trailer — not an earth-shattering factoid on its own, to be sure, but certainly

an interesting bit of context as Mega Man 11 begins to take shape.

Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get a solid feel for the rest of the music in the demo

I played because the sound effects were so loud, but I will say that nothing I heard

quite grabbed me in the way a Mega Man soundtrack should.

Still, that doesn't mean a whole lot when the music was so hard to hear in the first

place, so any concern here should be taken with a grain of salt.

One thing that did grab me, though, is just how nice and polished the game looks.

This is definitely not a low-budget effort; Mega Man 11 looks even better now than it

did when we first saw it in the reveal trailer, with the various explosions and hit effects

looking particularly great.

In another cool touch, Mega Man's shadow is realistically projected against various

background elements, and Mega Man himself looks super cool with his updated design.

Unfortunately his running animation hasn't changed from the reveal trailer and still

leaves something to be desired, and that's a minor flaw that I still hope is fixed for

the final game.

Even though it's past time for me to wrap up this preview, there's still so much more

I could talk about — such as the surprising confirmation I got that Mega Man 11 will come

with the Japanese voice track included, as well as Evil Eddie.

Yes, you heard me — Evil Eddie, which is not a character I thought I ever wanted or

needed, but my first time encountering him in the demo was a delightful surprise that

left me with a huge smile on my face.

But that's a topic for another time, and I think the fact that I can't stop talking

about it just underscores how exciting Mega Man 11 is shaping up to be.

If the two stages I've played so far are any indication, long-suffering Mega Man fans

have every reason to be excited for October 2nd.

How Many Strawberries for a Cup of Juice? - Duration: 2:13.

Hi Guys!

Since the strawberry season started, I wanted to make at least one strawberry video, so there it is!

Have you ever wondered why there are no, like 1 litre box of juice. Or bottles of juice made of strawberries?

The 100% strawberry juice. Why it is not in the stores, or in the shops or in the supermarkets?

At least where I live I don't have them, maybe you have, I don't know

There are strawberry flavored waters and youghurts or everything like that

But why there is no 100% juice of strawberry

Is it because strawberries are small and there is not much* juice from them?

Well, I'm gonna find it out!

I have got a bunch of strawberries from my garden, so they are fresh and natural, not modified in any way

I'll use let's say 15 of them, so we will see how much juice I can get from those 15 strawberries.

Luckily I have the juicer

Well, suprisingly we didn't need a lot of them

This is it guys

That's it, 100% fresh, natural

Without GMOs and anything like that

100% pure, fresh, ecological juice

It's so delicious

So, our answer is: around 15

That's very little

I don't see why they couldn't do for example 1 litre box of the juice

They definitely should. So that's all for this video. Bye!

New Earth News The Big Wave For 2018

by Celia Fenn,

So as we enter the first few days of Gemini, I have to say I am feeling better than I have

in a long while.

The energy waves are still rolling through, but the intensity has leveled out for me,

although today was another one of those technicolor HD days where everything seems brighter and

bigger and almost overwhelming.

Now I just tell myself this is 5D and that its all ok.

I think in the next few weeks as we move towards Solstice we will continue to ride these waves

of adjustment.

The Big Wave for 2018 will start picking up energy around the 26th and 27th of July

as we move into the Lions Gate.

This will be accompanied by a Total Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius/Leo.

And yes, it will be a special one.

Apparently, it will be the longest Lunar eclipse of the century at 1 hour and 43 minutes.

I feel pretty sure that this will allow for an absolute tsunami of Diamond Light to start

the Planetary New Year and open the Lions Gate Portal.

Oh yesthings are about to get really interesting in this shift.

Remember to breather deeply and enjoy the ride!

This is the New Earth coming in and it promises to bring us a New Life and a New Dream.

Release the old and old expectations and be open to embracing the New in all its forms

and in all its blessings!

Telephone Consumer Protection Act Compliance for Nonprofit Organizations - Duration: 7:57.

Derek: Hi, everyone, Derek Johnson with tatango.com.

Today I'm at Innovista Law, home of the TCPA Defense Force.

And I'm sitting down talking to attorney Ernesto Mendieta about nonprofit compliance

for text messaging, and specifically the Telephone Consumer Protection Act or the TCPA.

So what do nonprofits need to know about complying with the TCPA when they send text messages?

Ernesto: Well, nonprofits have a special treatment, so any message that they send have a specific

regulation under the TCPA.

First, the FCC has exempted them from their requirement of scrubbing their numbers against

the National Do Not Call Registry.

Normally, under the TCPA for any telephone solicitation, you cannot call the numbers

that are registered in the Do Not Call Register.

But nonprofits can skip that step.

Derek: Okay, because, and maybe explain to me, nonprofits they don't need to actually

to opt-in to receive text messages from the nonprofit or how do people in a nonprofit

opt-in?

Ernesto: Correct there's, here we're talking about consent of when to receive.

And we have distinguish between residential and wireless.

For residential, the consent requirement goes down and you do not need previous consent

to talk, to get a call by or on behalf of a nonprofit.

For wireless and text messages to cellular phones, the consent requirement and level

is also lowered.

Under a normal text message, a telemarketing message to a wireless phone, you would need

express written prior consent.

Derek: Okay so if you're like a brand or retailer sending a coupon, prior express consent,

written consent.

Ernesto: Prior express consent, yes.

For nonprofit you can avoid the greeting part.

So it brings down the requirement to just express prior consent.

So you, if you gave your telephone number to a company, to a nonprofit, sorry.

We're talking about a nonprofit, it's understood that you consented to receive information

about that nonprofit.

Derek: Okay, so if I was interested in nonprofit, I gave my email address, I filled out some

info, I put in my phone number, and it didn't specifically say they were gonna text message

me, it just, I was giving my phone number to the nonprofit, maybe I support them, they

could text message me?

Ernesto: Yes.

Derek: Okay, so that's why you would have to if you were a brand, you would have to

scrub against maybe the Do Not Call list.

But nonprofits they don't have to.

Ernesto: Yes, correct.

The other requirement that they're relieved from is having their company-specific Do Not

Call list.

Normally what companies do is, whenever they receive an opt-out request, they have a list

in which it says these numbers we do not have to call.

Derek: So in our system, we have like the unsubscribed status.

So when someone subscribed, and they unsubscribe, we have to unsubscribe them.

Ernesto: Yes.

Nonprofits do not have that obligation.

They can do it best practices, to avoid calling people.

Because if they're a nonprofit and they are trying to look funding and they're calling

someone that already asked them to stop, it's gonna be an issue and there is not gonna be

any funding.

Derek: Exactly they're not going to be happy.

Ernesto: They wanna achieve their purpose.

Derek: Yeah, because at the end of the day it's really the consumer that matters the

most.

Like there is the law, but then also what makes sense for people so you're not frustrating

them, or you know, making them angry at your nonprofit.

Ernesto: Yes, correct.

Derek: So there's two different things.

The first one was.

Ernesto: The Do Not Call registry.

They don't have to scrub their numbers against the registry.

And the second is the lower consent requirements, they don't need it in writing.

Derek: Okay so you don't have to like, what we call double opt-in, where, you know, they're

texting out their phone.

Now they can, right, a lot of nonprofits have double opt-ins, and they opt-in people.

But you're saying that it's not required by the TCPA.

Ernesto: Correct.

Derek: An exemption, is that what it's called?

Ernesto: Yes.

Derek: Okay, so they have an exemption to doing that.

Ernesto: Yes.

Derek: That's interesting.

Ernesto: Yes, and the other thing that we have to keep in mind is that the messages

need to be made by or on behalf of the nonprofit.

So they can hire agents that are looking for funding for the nonprofit and even those third-party

agents that are calling on behalf of the nonprofit will have the same exceptions.

Derek: Oh, interesting, okay so it could either be the nonprofit or the agents, but they have

to be representing the nonprofit.

Ernesto: Yes.

Derek: It can't be just like, "Oh, we do business with those people.

And now we're text messaging them about Chipotle or some other company."

Ernesto: Yes, it has to be on behalf of the nonprofit, and with a purpose relating to

that.

Derek: Relating to it, okay.

Ernesto: Yes.

You can't add like, "Oh, I'm calling about this nonprofit, but let me tell you

about this other product that I'm selling."

Derek: This Ford car that's amazing, or something.

Ernesto: Yes, that will get you in trouble with the FCC, the courts will see through

it, and know that the main purpose of that call was actually to do some telemarketing.

Derek: To market or sales.

Ernesto: Yes.

Derek: Now what nonprofits, I know there is an exemption if you're not doing marketing

or sales type text message just in general.

For nonprofits, what if they are selling something?

What if they are technically, they're always marketing something, they're marketing a

cause, they're marketing give me donations.

So all that is exempt?

Ernesto: No, it needs to be related to their nonprofit purpose.

If you entered an area of marketing, or trying to sell a product or trying to promote a service,

you will be treated as telemarketing.

Derek: Okay so promoting, like if I'm a nonprofit and I promote a car, that would

100% be, you know, bad.

Ernesto: Yes, it will end up being considered as solicitation.

Derek: Okay but if I'm selling, if I message my nonprofit members and I say, you know,

we have a new t-shirt out, that has the name of the nonprofit on the t-shirt and we're

raising money by selling these t-shirts.

Is that kind of a gray area or?

Ernesto: Not a gray area it's subject to analysis if it comes to the FCC or a court

to actually decide.

But the example you're saying for me, it's crystal clear that it's actually for the

nonprofit purpose, so…

Derek: Because it's about that nonprofit's business…

Ernesto: Yes, and it involves the selling of the shirt but it's part of the funding

of the nonprofit.

Derek: Okay, interesting.

Would you recommend nonprofit, no matter really what, to always consult an attorney?

Ernesto: Yes, I would always do.

Derek: Because it does sound like there are a lot of nuances here.

And certain nonprofits, I'm guessing, are not exempt maybe?

I don't even know if that's correct.

Are there like certain designations of a nonprofit that are exempt?

Ernesto: There's several categories.

And they would all fall into the same one.

Derek: Oh, so they all fall in?

Ernesto: Yes.

They would all fall in…

Derek: As long as you're a nonprofit.

Ernesto: Yes.

Derek: Okay, interesting.

Well, again nonprofits if you're listening, text messaging is great but, you know, there

are some exemptions it makes it a little easier.

You don't have to have the same qualifications I guess.

What was your wording?

Ernesto: Yeah, the IRS can give you a certain qualification, but you can also be a certain

program or a certain association with a different certification you will still fall with the

TCPA exception.

Derek: It's just a lower barrier, you're not exempt.

Ernesto: You're not exempt.

Derek: It's just there's a lower barrier to your compliance, I guess.

Ernesto: Yeah, we can say a lower barrier to the consent requirements that you need

to receive.

Derek: So even if you are a nonprofit, definitely consult an attorney because there's a lot

of nuances.

But again I'm Derek Johnson with tatango.com here at Innovista Law, the home of the TCPA

Defense Force and we're talking TCPA compliance

for nonprofits.

What You Should Know Before Applying for CPT - Duration: 1:42.

How you reach out to your employers, how you present yourself to them, how you make your

resume, how you put relevant information on your resume, your cover letter is very important.

And I wish I had gone to the University Career Center before I started applying because I

think I lost out on a lot of opportunities because my resume wasn't correct.

But I noticed that once I got my resume polished, I was getting more responses and I was getting

at least calls to talk about my resume and my cover letter so that was a great thing

that happened.

And it's so easy, you can just go to Hire-A-Niner and you can sort of get it done by somebody

who's qualified to do it, they will help you out, they will go through your resume and

they'll talk it out with you and you can fix whatever you think is right.

The services offered by the UCC like resume and cover letter screening, mock interviews,

etiquette dinners, and stuff like that. They can really help you get there.

If I had known this before coming to the United States, I would have prepared myself for this.

I would have checked my resume... the first thing when I came to the United States, with the Career Center.

Probably, going into the next step, I would have prepared myself back in India, emailing

the UCC from India like "This is my resume, what do you think about it?" and then just

this speeds up the process and that's what you need.

Nail Art Designs 2018 - Best Nail Art Trends for Women 2018 - Duration: 9:00.

Nail designs or nail art or Nail Polish is a very simple concept - designs or art that

is used to decorate the finger or Nail Polish or toe nails.

They are used predominately to enhance an outfit or brighten an everyday

look.

Seen nowadays as more a fashion activity and something that allows for creativity and expression

of one's own style, the nail designs or Nail

Polish and art are considered to be a significant area of fashion and beauty.

Different nail designs and nail art can be found on the latest catwalks of the best designers,

Hollywood stars and celebrities will often showcase the hottest new nail trends on the

red carpets, and of course anyone from their own home can

create nail art or Nail Polish to match their mood, outfit or artistic personality.

History originally saw nail art or Nail Polish as being a show of social class, and the more

extravagant the higher class you were considered.

These days it is available to everyone and has exploded in

popularity, so much so that a documentary NAILgasm, was released to explore the growing

trend of nail art from subculture to high fashion.

In January 2014, Nailpolis: Museum of Nail Art was founded

for nail artists and hobbyists to share their designs.

Membership on NailpolisMuseum is limited to invitation only to "maintain quality content.

How To Do Nail Art?

If you want your nails to look their best, copy your favourite star's nails, or just

have a great design idea for them, then there are a few ways to

go about achieving the desired look.

Salons:

The easiest but probably most expensive option is to visit a nail salon or nail bar.

With the increase in nail designs and nail art popularity

nail salons/bars have become common-place in many towns and high streets.

They will have nail technicians that should be capable of creating any designs you wish.

Kits:

Nail art kits are useful for beginners as they give you everything you need to get started.

They will usually contain the top and base coats,

polish and colours, special brushes or dotting tools, different patterns, stickers and pins

for the designs, and possibly sometimes stones, jewels or glitter depending on the kit.

You may even want to get a kit with nail art pens that allow for you to draw directly onto

the nail, getting a totally unique design of your own.

If you're thinking about getting into nail designs, a nail art kit might be the ideal

starting point.

You can buy nail art kits from some of the biggest retailers.

Nail designs or nail art Tutorials:

If you want to avoid the cost of nail salons or are just feeling brave there is a massive

amount of tutorials and guides for all sorts of nail

designs or Nail Polish on the internet.

You can easily do a quick Google and YouTube search for a whole host of other resources.

What You Need

In order to get the desired designs or art and you aren't going to a nail salon, you'll

need the best tools and supplies.

One of the most basic tools for any budding nail artist are brushes.

A set of brushes can be picked up from most places like Amazon for very cheap.

Nail files are also important and you will likely need more than

one.

Your design ideas and what techniques they will require plays a large part in the tools

you might find yourself needing.

Nail stamps and dotting tools may be necessary to create specific designs.

These are just a few of a wide range of tools available for nail designs and art.

Depending on the type of design or pattern you are trying to achieve

you will require specific tools that will enable you to create those specific designs.

Nail Designs

Once you've decided to create your own nail art or Nail Polish , and you've got all the

tools you need to do so, you'll need to decide on a design or Nail Polish .

The range of options available to you is huge and with time you'll

become more familiar with different accessories that can be used

to improve or enhance your nail designs.

A is not for Ally ~ The Maybe List - Duration: 4:00.

Ally?!

Hi! I'm Maybe Burke and you're watching The Maybe List.

This week's episode is brought to you by the letter A

and A is not for Ally.

So ally is most commonly used as a military term in which it's used to reference

a region or a country cooperating with another region or country toward a common goal.

In conversations around social justice we have taken the term to apply to

marginalized groups of people and the people who helped them work toward a common goal.

So by definition, if you are an ally to a community, you are not a part of that community.

Now there's a lot of different versions of this acronym: LGBT, LGBTQ, LGBTQA, LGBTQIA, LGBTIPQQA.

Some people list certain letters twice or three times, but no matter the acronym you're using,

we're having conversations about sexual orientations and gender identities that are marginalized from mainstream culture

and to put allies as part of that acronym is not really adding to that conversation.

Now I know and I acknowledge that there are allies who feel very attached to the community,

who are very close to the community, have loved ones who are queer,

and contribute actively to the conversation, and I am not trying to take away from that or belittle that at all.

what I'm asking is for you to be intentional in your actions and to make sure that you are not taking up space

that might belong to or be available to somebody else who needs it.

Being an ally is a lot more than being a friend.

Being an ally is a lot more than hanging out at gay bars.

Being an ally is a lot more than a rainbow filter on your Facebook photo.

And if you really need an A in an acronym in order to prove how good of an ally you are,

I can almost guarantee that you're not actually listening to the conversation.

Giving the A to allies also implies that there is assumed allyship between LGBTQ people.

Very often I run into cisgender gay people who are transphobic.

There's plenty of bi erasure within lesbian and gay culture.

I mean, look at Caitlyn Jenner, even some trans people are homophobic.

Assuming that anybody in a queer space is an ally to all people in a queer space

is a gross over-generalization, and it probably actually ends up doing more harm than good.

No other marginalized group specifically makes space for their allies in their movement.

People with disabilities also often are related to people without disabilities.

The movement for black lives in this country isn't the Black & Friends movement.

But then what the hell does the A stand for?

There's a lot of queer identities that start with A.

Asexual.

There's a whole spectrum of asexuality that really doesn't get enough conversation in the mainstream.

And perhaps that's because we're taking space away from them.

There's an entire community of people who don't feel sexual attraction, feel varying degrees of sexual attraction,

are demisexual, graysexual, have varying degrees of sexual attraction and romantic attraction.

Specifically, the asexual community is significantly underrepresented in queer spaces.

Now let's look at some asexual representation in media.

We're done. There isn't much.

There's not much for the asexual community to latch on to.

The least we can give them is a little letter in an acronym.

Asexual people are often seen as the butt of a joke, they're laughed at, it's thought to be sad.

These communities have substance and deserve to be acknowledged for what they are.

I will note that not all asexual people identify as queer.

Just like not all intersex people identify as queer, not all trans people identify as queer

What I like to say is there's room for you at the table but you don't need to take a seat.

But if we are giving that letter A to our allies and not to asexual people,

There won't be room at that table and they won't have a seat.

If you're an ally to the LGBTQIA community, but that A stands for ally,

how are you an ally to a thing that you're a part of?

It's just bad semantics.

3 POWERFUL Tips For Generating 100+ Amazon Reviews In 2018 :: Updated TOS And How To Guide - Duration: 15:41.

what's going on guys welcome to lesson 4 and today's training I want to be

talking to you about how you can follow up with everybody that bought your

products so that you can generate a ton of reviews and also the two best ways

that you can use retargeting and this is gonna show you how to increase your

sales to retargeting and also how to increase your reviews anyways I'm gonna

go ahead and hop in the computer so that I can show you guys exactly how to set

this up alright what's going on guys so we're gonna be talking about how to

follow up to generate a ton of reviews and the best way to use retargeting now

we want to use an email follow-up service connected within Amazon so that

whenever any of our customers decide to go ahead and purchase our products that

an email is already automatically sent out to them now there's a couple of

different email follow-up providers that are on the market right now and they're

all really great but the one that I like to use is feedback genius I started

using them a couple years ago and I've only used them for my Amazon business

now there's one such as long jump or viral launch you know you guys can go

ahead and test them out and see which one works best for you but my personal

favorite is feedback genius now let's go ahead and jump in and see what the

emails look like okay so for the follow-up emails I only have two emails

I'm anything more than that I've been testing and I see that it's just

diminishing returns if you send like three or four follow-up

emails then you start getting less reviews but if you only send one to two

emails you get more reviews and you know it hurts your brand less in the long

term because you know you don't seem as needy and you don't come off as kind of

like pestering your customers but anyways these are the emails so the

first one that you do is you go ahead and send it out as soon as the product

is delivered now it's just hi first name you guys can just um put the double

brackets and within feedback genius and it automatically pulls the first name of

the customer I just wanted to reach out to make sure that product name arrives

safe and sound with no problems we're a small family company that live

or die on the feedback of customers like yourself please do not hesitate to

message us about any question or issue you were having and we want you to have

the best experience possible with product name thank you again you know

you put your name company founder and something really cool that I saw and

I've been testing is put down sent from my iphone you know whatever can give you

guys a little competitive edge like you know we're a small family

company that's true you know most of you guys are gonna be signing like 10 20 30

40 50 thousand dollars a month making like 10 to 20 thousand dollars in profit

which is technically considered you know small family business

so um anyways if you guys go ahead and put down I sent for my iPhone you'll

start getting a bunch of responses from people saying wow like this guy really

really took the time out to message us or wow this girl really took the time

out to message us from their phone and you know you're gonna see that you're

gonna start generating and garnishing more responses and you know this is just

gonna keep people like intact with your brand because they think that you

actually care enough to go ahead and send them a message from your iPhone and

we do and it'd be awesome if we had the time to go ahead and send everybody you

know an individual message but it's just not possible with the time restraints

and if you're really scaling this business up then you know you wouldn't

want to be spending all your time just send the emails out to your customers so

that's why we have services like feedback genius and song jump anyway

some the next email that I go ahead and send this three days after delivery

hello first name you know we just wanted to follow up to the email we sent a few

days ago and let you know how excited we are to welcome you to the brand name

community if this is your first purchase of brand name product you are in for a

unique experience as you get to know and appreciate and you know you guys can

just put in what your brand stands for you know whether it's quality luxury or

anything else or you know sturdiness long lasting workmanship just whatever

it is behind every product that we make like I covered in the previous videos

branding is important and we want to make sure that we have a solid brand and

kind of get people to start like getting introductive to our brand so that they

get to know us better and know like what we're about and you know if you have a

solid brand that's you know you'll usually able to sell for a little bit

more and you can create brand loyalty with your customers now you know product

name is well known for you know enter what you're known for kind of similar to

the brand but this is just for the product and we're sure that you agree

would you be willing to leave a feedback you know as an Amazon seller we love for

you to share your thoughts about brand name and how we performed as a seller

your opinion will help Amazon shoppers make a confident buying

decision have questions about your product or brand name simply reply to

this email and someone from our team will make it a priority to take care of

you thank you again your name company founder and if you want and go ahead and

include sent for my iPhone now the reason that we go ahead and ask for the

feedback is you know just in case of somebody for whatever reason isn't happy

with the product because you know when you guys a manufacturing product some

products are uh they're always gonna have defects you know if you're ordering

a thousand there might be a handful that have defects and people might get upset

about that so that's why you ask them to go ahead and leave a feedback first so

just in case it's negative product review then you can go ahead and go to

Amazon and tell them to remove the feedback because it's not technically

feedback is technically a product with you now if they do go ahead and leave

positive feedback and leave it as a product review because a lot of people

tend to do that they tend to go on the feedback link and leave a product review

then you can just go ahead and message them ask them to go ahead and copy and

paste it over to the review section so you're not gonna have two birds with one

stone with this strategy so you're getting both feedback and you're also

generating reviews for your product while filtering out any negative reviews

anyways guys that's it for the follow-up sequence as you see we kept it super

simple just one to two emails as what works best and in the first one we send

it immediately upon when the product is delivered so you know you just ask them

to make sure everything's okay with the product if they have any questions or

anything like that to go ahead and send you a message and then the second email

that we send is three days after the products delivered you know kind of

introduce them to your brand and what you're about and then go ahead and ask

for the feedback this way you know you're generating positive feedback for

your account which keeps your account in good health with Amazon and you're going

to be also generating positive reviews for your product so you're not gonna two

birds with one stone while also diminishing any negative feedback or any

negative reviews that people might be leaving for your product anyways guys

we've been talking a lot about retargeting over the past couple videos

so I want to go ahead and talk about it a little bit more in-depth and show you

guys how we use it so anyways I'm in case you guys don't know what

retargeting is I'm gonna explain it real quick with this diagram here so

your potential customer they visit your site you know whether it be your bridge

page your giveaway page you know if you're running people straight to let's

say a sales page with clickfunnels or if you're running a Shopify store you know

they visit your site but they leave without checking out anyways you know

this could be for a variety of different reasons could be the mailman could be

the kid could be the dog could be anything but you know later down the

road you know later the same day or later during the week they're on the

website they're on the website later they're surfing the web and you know

they're on Facebook or they're on their favorite web site and you know your ad

pops up and recapture their interest and their attention and it brings them back

to your site to get them to complete whatever it was that they were doing

whether it be you know checking out or you know leaving their information for a

coupon or some sort of ebook or anything and you know then your potential

customers turn into happy customers and you know you've made money you've made

them happy and they're most likely to come back because you've been able to

capture their attention again now this is something that a lot of Amazon

sellers don't do and you know retargeting is super cheap because it's

it's a lot cheaper than what normal advertising is because you're getting

people back to your website which already returned and you know sometimes

it takes a couple of times for people to see your product and to see your company

and see what you're about before they buy but you know if they keep on seeing

your retargeting ads over and over again they're more likely to go ahead and

click on your link again and go ahead and purchase or get them to do whatever

you know you were gonna get them to do in the first place anyways I'm if you

guys don't remember this is the Amazon FBA sales funnel that we're gonna be

using you know I've talked about it in the previous lessons and if you still

haven't downloaded it into your account make sure to go ahead and download it

into your account but anyways we send Facebook ads or outside traffic we send

them to an opt-in page or a bridge page depending on what our objective is and

then from that page we take them to our Amazon listing and you know since we've

captured their email address then we get to go ahead and send them emails and

follow up with them and you know see if they want any products kind of introduce

them to a brand and offer them any discounts or anything that we decide to

do as part of our marketing strategy now retargeting this

is where you add the retargeting pixel you added on to your opt-in page or your

bridge page so as you guys can see here you know this cool little graphic that I

added to the sales funnel and it's the retargeting pixel and that's where we

want to had it and you know if you guys are on click funnels it's super easy to

go ahead and add you just go ahead and click on the Settings tab just copy and

paste your retargeting pixel from Facebook add it to there and then that's

done now there's two main ways that we use retargeting so the first one is to

drive potential customers back to our listing so we go ahead and we you know

set up a retargeting added within Facebook and we go ahead and drive them

back to our product listing now we usually don't drive facebook ads

straight to our listing but once people have seen you know they've been tower

bridge page you know they potentially seen our listing already they could have

left for a variety of reasons and we're just using this retargeting ad to kind

of remind them and get them back and let them know that they were about to

purchase the product or try to get them back to purchase the product so you know

here's some potential ad copy that you can use you know the life get in the way

we notice you forgot to take advantage of this deal click here to get 30% off

you know use coupon code 30 off now and they can just add your link and use like

a Google shortener or a bitly shortener link and then right below you can use

like limited quantities available or you can say offer expires in 48 hours and

you know this is it's super simple ad copy but guys simple is what works and

the second way that we use retargeting is to get customers to come back to

leave a review so you know we've set up a retargeting ads similar to the one

that we set up to get them to come back to our listing but this time we get them

to either leave a review or to leave feedback and I'll leave that up to you

guys to see which one you want to do but I usually Drive retargeting ads to leave

a review because if people are gonna be inclined to click on the ad they're most

likely gonna leave something positive and in my experience I've used I've

usually seen people leave more positive reviews than negative reviews it's like

ninety nine to one but anyways here's the potential ad copy that you can use

did you love XYZ product that you've recently purchased on Amazon will go

here and you know kind of add a link here and let us know what you think and

we'll go head and send you a coupon for 20% off

your next order now this isn't necessarily against the Terms of Service

because you know you're saying let us know what you think you can also put you

know like let us know your honest thoughts or something and we'll go ahead

and send you a coupon for 20% off I don't think 20% off is gonna be you

know it's Amazon so not gonna really say anything about it because I've seen

supplement companies say you know come leave a review and we'll give you a free

bottle next time and you know they've been selling on Amazon for a couple

months I see I've seen a couple of them selling for like a year or two on Amazon

they're still doing that and you know they're so up so Amazon hasn't been

cracking down on them and this company does like two to three hundred thousand

dollars per month in sales so you know I don't want to tell you guys what to do

and what not to do with your business but um you know this is a great way to

go ahead and generate some extra reviews you know incentivize people with the

coupon and you know most people will go ahead and leave the review if they see

your retargeting ad on Facebook and lastly I want to leave you guys all for

the bonus strategy now I buy a lot of things from Amazon and a lot of them are

from private label sellers and this is one thing that I see a lot of people not

doing and it literally only cost like $0.02 to $0.03 per product like an

additional cost and kind of like inside of your packaging include a little

product insert that collects emails and reviews or feedback now this is super

cheap because you know manufacturers in China can go ahead and print five

hundred thousand two thousand of these for just a couple of pennies and you

know it's definitely worth it because you generate reviews and you can also

generate email addresses now on the front side of what I like to do is get

them to leave their email address so a lot of the times you know what you can

do is to go ahead and ask for you know if people want to go ahead and get a

warranty for their product you know within the next twelve months if

anything happens if it breaks they can just go ahead and send you an email and

then you can go ahead and replace the product now this is not against Terms of

Service or anything like that asking for their email and this way because you're

asking them you know if they want a warranty for the product and think about

it if you get anything from like Sony or any of like their super big brands

they leave you a link to go ahead and sign up for warranty for their product

but this is just a smart way to go ahead and start capturing your customers email

address so that you can go ahead and build your audience and start

introducing them to your brand in another way and then on the back side

you can that you can get them to leave a review and basically just say what we

said in the follow-up emails you know we are a small family business and reviews

are the lifeblood of our business please don't forget to leave an honest review

on Amazon and you know Amazon's not gonna be cracking down on this they're

not gonna be opening your product inserts and checking everything to make

sure that it's all good and honestly you know if you say that we're a small

family business don't forget to leave an honest review and you don't say anything

about compensation you're gonna be more than okay I've done this for a couple of

my products and you know I've had no problems so far so this is definitely a

great way to collect email addresses and to get people to go ahead and leave you

a review for your product and that's basically it guys you know it's a super

simple strategy for the retargeting ads you can spend like five to ten dollars a

day per ad or just for both of them combined and you know only spend like

150 to 300 dollars per month but that also generates a great ROI for your

business because you're getting reviews and you know the more reviews you have

on Amazon the more sales you tend to get but you know if you're using a

combination of these or just a couple of these strategies you can expect for your

reviews to jump anywhere from five to twenty percent I'm depending on how well

that you do on this because I'm you know a lot of people talk about

differentiating your product but one of the best ways that you can go ahead and

differentiating your product is by providing a great like product

experience and having great customer service because you know online and on

the internet there's a lot of companies that you know they just go ahead they

sell the products and that's it they don't really care about customer support

or customer service but if you have great customer service and you actually

care about your customers people will see that and you know it'll make them

think twice about purchasing from somebody else and having a bad

experience and they'll come back to you whenever they need to purchase anything

within that niche and that's why we have a couple of more products that we can

offer our customers and you know we'll have done that research to know which

products they want so when people are looking for that

specific product they'll go ahead and come back for us

anyways guys that is it for today's lesson and I will see you guys in the

next one

Snoop Dogg Obliterates Guinness World Record for Largest Glass of Gin & Juice - Duration: 2:42.

Snoop Dogg Obliterates Guinness World Record for Largest Glass of Gin & Juice

While wine is often the drink of choice at BottleRock Napa Valley, Snoop Dogg took refreshment matters into his own hands onstage at the music festival Saturday (May 26).

The rap legend set a Guinness World Record by crafting the largest-ever glass of gin and juice during his set, paying tribute to his 1994 Top 10 hit named after the cocktail.

Snoop wasnt alone in his bartending efforts; he was joined by longtime friend rapper Warren G and Top Chef champ Michael Voltaggio.

According to Mercury News, the colossal glass stood five feet tall and three feet wide.

Along with juice donated by Whole Foods, the concoction required 180 handles of Hendricks gin, resulting in a gigantic beverage filled with enough liquor to make the majority of the crowd feel laid back.

Guinness recognized the boozy victory by presenting Snoop with an official certificate on the Williams-Sonoma stage during his performance, documented on his Instagram.

Gin and Juice, the rappers second-ever single, helped shoot him to stardom along with the release of his Billboard 200-topping debut album, Doggystyle.

Cheers to that.
