It will be a good test for the climbers, for our climbers as well. I remember this climb Zoncolan from my career, I rode it in 2010. It is a very steep climb, 7 km and always steep, there is no place to stand up on the pedals.
I think this is a perfect climb for our climber Miguel Lopez. We will see, what he can do on this climb. The team is ready to provide the maximum support. I hope for a good result today.
Who is Colombian? Me? Yes, I am Lutsenko Lopez!
We are at the bottom of the Monte Zoncolan, it is the final climb of stage 14. This is a very steep climb, one of the most legendary climbs of the Giro d'Italia.
By the rules each team will have only one supporting car which will follow the group on Zoncolan, so this is the reason that from each team one mechanic will do this climb on a special motorbike.
A few minutes ago we left our mechanic Gabriele Tosello on a motorbike point. He will climb Zoncolan behind the first riders on the motorbike with a driver, taking with him a spare bike and a pair of wheels.
We are with 250 meters to go, here is a very narrow road, just for one car with no any space even for a bike on the sides. A lot of people here on the top! This is the Giro d'Italia!
Today's stage was really hard, it was the first stage in high mountains. I did a step ahead, while the team was strong as usual.
All my teammates were fantastic! Now we are thinking about tomorrow stage, it will be another difficult day. The main thing is my form is good.
Hello to all our fans in Kazakhstan! Enjoy this Giro d'Italia!
Another day at the Giro. It was a day with an epic climb Monte Zoncolan. We did not win the stage, but we took the white jersey of the best young rider. So, we are in a good mood and I can show you our truck!
In our truck we have two sections and today I will show you one of them – the mechanic's department with all the bikes, spare parts and so on. As in a normal workshop we have a workbench with the gripes.
In this workshop every place is using so something because we have a lot of things, a lot of spare parts and we need a bit of order to have some space to work. Everywhere we have the racks and even here in the floor we have a space.
We can open it and find something. Here we have the wheels, we have a lot of wheels for different stages. Here we have the wheels for TT bikes. And here you can see the bikes. As I said before each rider has more or less 5 bikes.
Everyday we are coming back in the hotel after the race, during the two hours all bikes are cleaning and checking of all the details and parts. Every day, every bike is passing through the arms of our mechanics.
Another hard mountain stage is waiting for us tomorrow. It can introduce new changes in the GC. It will be interesting. So, as usual, cheer for us, follow us and put your thumbs up!
