Miami's Turnover Chain Is Back & Better Than Ever in 2018 | Heavy.com - Duration: 3:56.

Miami's Turnover Chain Is Back & Better Than Ever in 2018 | Heavy.com

Miamis Turnover Chain has prompted many companies to produce chains for fans to purchase.

For those wondering, the Miami Hurricanes' Turnover Chain is back for the 2018 season, but it is not the same chain as last year.

Miami defensive coordinator Manny Diaz detailed the changes in an interview with WVUM's Josh White prior to the start of the 2018 season.

"What I am really hoping is that it comes out multiple times on Sunday [against LSU] so everybody gets a good look at it," Diaz told WVUM.

"It will be a little different.

It's funny. We don't talk about it.

You would think it would be a bigger point of topic in our meeting room, but it's not.

The players know it's coming out.

We're more worried about what causes it to come out.

Which is being disruptive, getting after the running game and getting after the quarterback.

The things we believe that causes turnovers.".

The Original Turnover Chain Was 36 Inches Long & Weighed 5.

5 Pounds.

According to ESPN, the original Turnover Chain was 36 inches long and weighed 5.5 pounds.

The chain was made of 10-karat gold with 900 orange and green sapphire stones, per Sports Illustrated.

It was created by South Florida jeweler Anthony John "AJ" Machado.

"In Miami, what are we famous for? We're famous for the Cuban chains," Machado told the Sun Sentinel.

"But we need to add a little something to it.

So we did a big U charm — orange stones, green stones in there to flash it out.".

If imitation is indeed the highest form of flattery, there is a lot of praise heading towards South Beach.

Teams all over the country are coming up with their own version of the Turnover Chain.

Boise State now has a Turnover Throne.

All that to say, college football props that encourage players to perform at their highest level are not going anywhere anytime soon.

Miami's Turnover Chain continues to be the gold standard (literally), which is why they had to come out with a new edition for 2018.

Trump Exposes Massive Obama Coverup – 'This Is Totally Illegal' - Duration: 10:46.

Trump Exposes Massive Obama Coverup – 'This Is Totally Illegal'

Donald Trump just went off on Barack Obama after the latest revelation about what the

former administration did for Iran.

"The Obama Administration is now accused of trying to give Iran secret access to the

financial system of the United States.

This is totally illegal.

Perhaps we could get the 13 Angry Democrats to divert some of their energy to this "matter"

(as Comey would call it).

Investigate!" Trump tweeted, according to Right Wing News.

Senate Republicans just revealed that Obama tried to give Iran access to the U.S. financial

system by sidestepping sanctions kept in place after the 2015 nuclear deal, despite repeatedly

telling Congress and the public it had no plans to do so.

As Obama tried to make the Iran deal happen, he also worked to make sure Iran received

their so-called promised benefits without playing into the hands of the deal's opponents.

Iran got $150 billion in the deal as well as $400,000 in exchange for prisoners and

another $1.3 billion in cash that Iran claimed was owed to them.

Iran used this money to move ahead with their nuclear weapons program, massively beef up

their military and sponsor terrorism across the globe while the U.S. got nothing in return.

"The Obama administration misled the American people and Congress because they were desperate

to get a deal with Iran," said Sen. Rob Portman (R-OH).

We can only hope that Trump makes sure that Obama is held responsible for the illegal

things he did and that the former president ends up in prison where he belongs!

Our Toronto Too - What democracy should be and what democracy is currently... in 2018 - Duration: 4:21.

So why do you think people you know we

say that we are a society that wants

better than what we already have in the

sense that so much can be done in the

City but yet it hasn't been done but yet

certain areas of the City get things

done and others don't and why do you

think that is?

I think because the City has priorities of the neighbourhoods that they want to see flourish and people who they want to

see flourish

and that usually goes back to

back to funders and sponsors and wealth

wealthy people. You know people who are

pay rent don't really have as much say in the neighbourhoods as people who are homeowners.

So they push out the people who are renters out so that only people who are

homeowners have a say.

But the irony of all that is that

there are more renters in the City of

Toronto than there are homeowners and

what I mean by that is the renters are

the majority of people who have access

to vote. Well when you vote you're still voting for the establishment Candidates.

Why?! Why are people voting for the establishment Candidates when they know better?

why are people voting for the

establishment candidates when they know

better that

you know history has told us and

demonstrated to us that this is not

turning out to benefit all of society so

why do people get sucked into voting for

the establishment candidates? I think its also a flaw in how democracy works. Because we

say that we have a democracy but then

people like you don't even get invited to the table. So the people who we see as

frontrunners and people who we feel are

going to have the best chance to

overtake the establishment candidates

who are more progressive those are the

ones who are funded by the same

establishments that are you know

profiting off of our losses and we don't

we don't really have fair voices at

the table to even be able to know

who's there what's going on. So what's

going to make a difference for this

election? I think we need to overhaul the

electoral system

and get proportional representation

type of voting systems so that people's

people everybody who wants to run can

have a voice an equal voice and society

can be able to make their own informed

decisions without having an

establishment put forward two or three

candidates that they want to see us

funnel our votes to. - uh-huh well I

certainly believe in proportional

representation and also electoral reform

the thing is in this election unless I'm

elected we'll never get to that and so

what would you say to the listening

voter out there about this upcoming

October 2018 election if they want

to see better for our City? I definitely

think that we have to we have to take

time to educate ourselves not only from

who's running for Mayor but also who's

running for City Council's also running

for City Council in our different awards

but we need to know the pros and cons about what

they've been doing if they have been

part of the establishment trying to push us out.

You know not taking care of you know

renting rights and we just we need to

educate ourselves on who's

running and also be part of the push to

get every voice to the table. Yes and

right now there are some people who

identify themselves as being progressive

but they're not

really interested in that from the

Mayoral perspective they're still

pushing the establishment and this in my

opinion is a continuum for the problems

that we face when so-called progressive

people push the establishment

continually when those people who are

part of the establishment have never

really been part of the struggle and

unless you've been part of the struggle

you're never going to see need or

recognize need or identify needs that

need to be addressed and thus will

continue to perpetuate the same problems

which have been continually perpetuated

for this far and that is to just do the

same old same old every single time. Right! I couldn't have said it better myself.

Thank you so much for your kind words

and your insights and all that you said

on this ride.
