Waching daily Sep 26 2018

Hi everyone, I'm Vicario from GO-ACADEMY,

I'm Gio, I'm system engineer in GO-JEK.

So today we gonna share two things, one is myth busting of life as an engineer

and number two is tips and trick for you who wants to apply for go-academy program.

Both social skills and communication skills are very important

and especially in GO-JEK, you work in a team

And in that team you'll find people from different background.

So you will work with PM, work with designers, you also work with business analyst.

You will also work with people from different nationalities

so I think you also have to have good communication in English.

apparently that's not always the case in project because what we really value

more is your skills and your attitude towards the work that you are doing for

example our CTO didn't have a computer science background one of our tightly

like the most senior one he even did a type of optical science paper and even

one of our engineer was a finance dropout to turn to be an engineer these

are the appearances that your background didn't really matter as long as you work

hard and you won always improve yourself

in budget programming language is just a tool to solve a problem for example one

of our surface with his alopecia which essentially like an engine to match

between the driver and also the passenger

it was initially written in Java but since go-jek was like growing like

really fast the jump up abyss can no longer handle that anymore

so that's why we wrote that in Goa only in three days but then again as like

Guge agree that we need another solution that's why our current allocation engine

is even written in future different admits is extremely important for you to

be versatile to learn about neutral

so actually engineers probably only spend like 20 or 30 percent working code

the rest of the time they will need to learn a lot and then they also have to

have a discussion with their teams like discussing the best approach to solve a

problem most of the times engineers also do thinking and like contemplating may

their own only at that time they will find a good solution that they can use

to solve a problem engineers can solve problem based on their prior knowledge

is that Rick no obviously because I think when we are talking about severe

engineering it's one of the field step change the boss right

so like things get obsolete very very quickly so that's why learning is a very

important thing that engineers need to have right they also need to have a very

good motivation to do that they need to learn a lot and they also need to apply

that directly into their daily job so that's all the myths that we have the

electrical engineers now let's move to the second part which is some some tips

on entry if you want to apply for go academic program there are several

methods that we use to assess whether or not you will be the right fit for this

program

one of the paths is an offside pass which essentially we send you a coding

problem that you need to send back to us in certain period amount of time we have

couple of tips on that number one don't need the alignment a lot of people fail

these times because they are not able to do it but because they didn't submit it

on time they thought that they had in a fire me and they just procrastinate but

in DM they didn't finish on that perhaps you have another suggestion from a

technical standpoint yes so we need a clean solution time something that

easily understandable by our engineers also need to read the instructions very

carefully because we put a lot of effort in writing at instruction so you need to

have a complete solution nicely packaged archive and then you can send it props

so in code pairing round we want you to have a collaborative mindset please work

with our engineers in how to solve the problem you can also as qualifying

questions you can also discuss with them obviously the end goal is to solve the

problems with them you can also try to come with several approach and design

our what approach that we want to take together but obviously you have to

discuss we want a candidate who is active other important things that you

need to do is you need to justify your solution to our engineers and also to

the reviewers what is the reason why we have this as one of our selection method

because we believed as an avenue to make like a better solution and also good

Avenue to like learn from each other right that's why we are looking for

people to gonna fit with this and that's why we have this during the selection

process

in general you select consist of multiple parts we gonna see like some

technical questions and you should also be ready to be asked to put on the boy

but on top of that we're gonna also applied behavioral fashions to make sure

whether or not you are really fit one yet

then we're gonna share some tips for you how to attract men this kind of

interview so I think first and foremost it's important for you to know and to

master what you've done and where you are going to be so during an interview I

mean like we are going to ask you to walk through your city we're gonna ask

you like some of the projects that you've done programming languages that

you did and also like the tools that you use before we're ready to be asked like

such questions but more importantly in the spirit of being forward Lippe we

also want to know your aspiration and whether or not we can grow together and

benefit each other personally and professionally the third piece of advice

is to find out more about our engineering culture a lot of the

candidates that we interviewed when they were asked about what they know about

project most of them answer about our products well it's good to know about

our products it would be even better if you do prior research about our

engineering culture there is plenty of resources available on the internet

Sundays and one of them is our engineering block in our engineering

block you will understand and you will get some picture about our engineering

culture how we do what we do and some of the projects that we've done in the

class that will definitely help you to decide whether or not this program will

be right for you so that's all from us I hope it helps

yes and if you have any questions you can email your questions here and last

but not least don't forget to apply here here bye see you next time bye okay

Beloved EastEnders character RETURNS from dead for revenge murder?

EastEnders viewers were devastated when Abi Branning (Lorna Fitzgerald) fell off the roof of the Queen Vic along with her sister Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa).

The EastEnders cast member remained in a coma for weeks while pregnant with her daughter, before her life support was eventually turned off by her dad Max (Jake Wood).

Max was devastated as he finally had to say goodbye to his daughter, and soon made a swift exit from Albert Square.

But fans have been taking to social media to beg for Abi to return from the dead, as they felt she wasn't given the exit she deserved.

One posted: "I miss Abi the most.

She still had loads of potential in my opinion.

I would have killed Lauren off instead.

Killing Steven too was a huge mistake.

He and Abi could have been the foundation of EE of the future (if they chose to return)." Another added: "Also by killing Steven and Abi they destroyed two potential villains and wonderfully layered characters for the future." A third wrote: "I miss Abi Branning - she was turning into a psychobitch very nicely, and to see her bringing up dead Steven's baby would have been interesting, she could have been another Janine if handled right, but she was sacrificed on the alter of the ever-boring, personality-free zone which is Max!.

A fourth chipped in: "A long-running character with bags of potential and the only long term character with any real character development (from golden girl to Little Miss Darkness) and they brutally destroy all of that potential to redeem the bore which is Max.

If anything this has made me dislike him even more." A fifth added: "I hate the fact that Abi was killed off in an attempt to try and generate sympathy for Max.

He should have been killed off instead." Could Abi return from the dead to get revenge on her dad?.

Albert Square was rocked as Max's evil plan against the residents was exposed, which involved working with the Wilmott-Browns to steal all of the businesses in the area.

Not only that, Max was also behind Abi's lover Steven Beale's (Aaron Sidwell) death after he pushed him into a cabinet, causing a liver bleed.

EastEnders continues tonight at 8pm on BBC.

The Fight for Lead-Free Drinking Water in Vancouver Schools - Duration: 1:25.

There's over a hundred and ten Vancouver school board school sites and because of

the time when schools were created a lot of piping can have lead leakage into the water

which means that the water isn't safe for young children to drink.

So when you go to an elementary school and you see that fountains are shut down -

this happens regularly - when you go to an elementary school and see

signs that say to keep the water on for five minutes before drinking it,

that's kind of a sign that there's probably lead in the water.

So it's really important for us to be transparent with kids and with parents around what is actually happening.

But on top of that OneCity isn't asking for changes in all the pipes in all 110 sites.

What we are asking for is one safe drinking site at every school

so that kids know where to access and fill up their water bottles at school.

We don't want to be... or yeah... I think that's the main point is that there should be one place

where all young people can go to fill up their water bottles.

That's really the bottom line is that all children deserve that.

It's Vancouver, it's Canada, it's the world, it's totally the time to raise the alarm on that issue

and it seems like something sort of silly that we have to bring up in an election time but also ever.

Bodyguard SLAMMED for PTSD treatment in BBC series by former SAS soldier - Duration: 4:18.

Bodyguard SLAMMED for PTSD treatment in BBC series by former SAS soldier

The drama, which was brought to the screens by Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio, has gripped audiences for the last few weeks.  And it all came to a dramatic end in a tense, blood-soaked finale last night.

Viewers found out that David Budd's (Richard Madden) boss Lorraine Craddock (Pippa Haywood) and gangster Luke Aitkens (Matt Stokoe) were behind the assassination of Home Secretary Julia Montague (Keeley Hawes).

Budd and Montague had a romantic affair but it turned sour when Madden's character attacked her.

The audience was already aware that the war veteran suffered from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after military service.

And Chris, who served in the SAS for 10 years, believes this condition would have hit Budd harder in reality.

Speaking exclusively to Daily Star Online, Chris said: "The story doesn't add up.

"He's supposed to be an ex-soldier who's suffering from PTSD.

"If he'd been suffering from PTSD, that would have showed its ugly head while he was a policeman on the street" Chris Ryan "If he'd left the Army, he would've had to have joined the police.

"He would have served there three or four years before he could have gone off to be a specialist in terms of protection units.

"Now, if he'd been suffering from PTSD, that would have shown its ugly head while he was a policeman on the street.

"Certainly, if he was suffering from PTSD, he wouldn't want to go to the Royal Protection or protection units to become a bodyguard.

"So that didn't make it right.

"In drama now, if anybody is a soldier, they're always suffering from PTSD.

It's a bit of a cliche." Chris previously slammed the bomb scene – which killed Keeley Hawes' character – "nearly impossible".

And he exposed a huge gaffe in the BBC series.

Chris was speaking to Daily Star Online to promote his new fiction book "Head Hunters", part of the Danny Black series.

He served in the SAS for 10 years, fighting in the Gulf War and making the longest escape and evasion mission in SAS history for which he was awarded the Military Medal.  "Head Hunters" is available to buy now.

You can follow Chris on Instagram @exsaschrisryan.

Breaking News - Mike Ashley's disregard for Newcastle taken to a new level - Duration: 5:04.

So much of the Newcastle United soap opera has been played out in public that it is easy to be inured to Mike Ashley's disregard of the club, though some of the new revelations in Kevin Keegan's autobiography are on an entirely different level

What they expose, where Ashley and the fans of his football possession are concerned, is nothing less than contempt

Keegan reveals the full gamut of indignities which Ashley and his stooges submitted him to in during his nine months back at the club in 2008

We are re-introduced to Tony Jimenez - the one-time former Chelsea match-day steward, who was somehow given the power to foist players on Keegan

There is the story of how Jimenez told Luka Modric's agent that the Croatian was 'too light-weight' for Newcastle and how he admitted he had never heard of Per Mertesacker

There is episode of how Keegan, having been promised by Jimenez that Bayern Munich's Bastian Schweinsteiger would be signed as a replacement for James Milner that summer, called the German club's Karl-Heinz Rummenigge to be sure that an offer had actually been made

It tuned out Jimenez had offered €5million (£3.4m in 2008) for the then 23-year-old and Keegan relates his cringe-inducing phone conversation with Rummenigge from a London hotel room

'Five million euros, Kevin! We killed ourselves laughing.' Keegan describes how he left the German 'chuckling at the other end of the line and rang off

' Jimenez talked about going for Joleon Lescott, then an England international. Except he kept calling him 'Julian

' He talked about bringing in South American players who 'nobody else knew about' and turning them into multi-million pound assets

Keegan, as aware as anyone in football about the work-permit problems if these player had not featured in internationals, asked in one early meeting how they were going to get such individuals in

'We'll fly them in, of course,' said Jimenez. Keegan was always forbidden from calling the boss by Derek Llambias, who took over as managing director after Keegan had been hired

So only when Keegan had walked away and taken the club to industrial tribunal - claiming that the imposition of Jimenez and the hopeless Dennis Wise as the directors of football represented constructive dismissal – did Ashley enter the narrative

The autobiography provides an abundance of detail on the tribunal, not reported at the time

This included Ashley's response to the three-man panel when asked why he had said in an interview with respected Newcastle fanzine 'The Mag' that final decisions of transfers were Keegan's

Jimenez and Wise were there only to recommend players. The interview - in which Ashley said: 'I'm here to help Kevin – he has the final word' - was even published on the club's website and printed in the match programme for next home game

'I have never looked at the club website,' Ashley replied. 'And I have to be exceptionally bored to read the programme

You will get more sense out of the Beano.' The examination of Ashley at the tribunal courtroom in London's Fleet Street, broadened out into other examples of him speaking with utter disregard for the notion of truth

In one interview, he had described a 2-0 win over Sunderland as his favourite moment since taking over the club

'It wasn't,' he told the tribunal. 'It was when we beat Spurs 4-1. If you want to refer to dealing with the media as lying, then I would say 'yes', but I don't think it's lying in the true sense of the word

' The tribunal panel - Philip Havers QC, Lord Pannick QC and Ken Merrett, Manchester United assistant club secretary – ordered Newcastle to pay Keegan £2m plus interest and costs

It accused Ashley of 'repeatedly and unintentionally misleading the press, public and fans of Newcastle United

' Sportsmail asked Keegan if he felt there should be more rigour and resource put into the Premier League's work to ensure that those who buy clubs are committed to running it professionally

'I thought they'd got that,' he said. 'It's a good idea but I'm afraid it should have been implemented a long time ago

You're trying to shut a stable door.'
