Looking further at the UN General Assembly this week, world leaders have been voicing

their concerns about the scourge of drug abuse around the globe.

That includes President Moon Jae-in, who took part at an event on Monday titled Global Call

to Action on the World Drug Problem,… which was hosted by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Thirty-one world leaders, including President Moon, reiterated their commitment to effectively

handle the drug problem gripping many parts of the world.

South Korea's presidential office says the meeting was part of global efforts to step

up the application of international drug control conventions.

Osun election: Omisore finally gives condition for supporting either APC or PDP - Duration: 1:36.

Senator |Iyiola Omisore who is the candidate of the Social Democratic Party has given his condition for supporting either Senator Ademola Adeleke of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) or Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

Adeleke of the PDP had 254,698 while the candidate of APC, Oyetola, polled 254,345 thereby forcing the election into a rerun after the Independent National Electoral Commission declared the result inconclusive.

Senate president, Bukola Saraki, met with Omisore on Monday, September 24 to seek the SDP candidate's support. The Punch reports that Omisore said he would only support the candidate that agrees to pay salaries and pension.

He said: "I have given my programmes to both the APC and the PDP. My programme is like this; payment of salaries and pensions. Good governance is what is important to me.

"Anyone among the two that will do that will get my support. I am passionate about Osun State and my interest is the welfare of the people of this state.

I have told those sent to me. At the appropriate time, we will tell you where we are going.".
