 Cristiano Ronaldo, Luka Modric and Mohamed Salah will battle it out to be crowned the Best Men's Player

 All three have enjoyed standout years and each stake a valuable claim that they deserve to win the accolade

 Luka Modric won the Champions League with Real Madrid and led Croatia to the World Cup final

 Mohamed Salah won the PFA Player of the Year award after scoring a record 32 Premier League goals on his return to English football

 The Egyptian suffered heartbreak in the Champions League final, suffering a shoulder injury during the defeat

 He showed resilience and determination to ensure he was back to play a part at the World Cup with his country

 According to the bookies though, there is a clear frontrunner for the award. Cristiano Ronaldo is 1/2 on to win a record-breaking sixth title according to Ladbrokes latest odds

 The Portuguese star won his fourth Champions League in five seasons before signing for Juventus this summer

 Ronaldo also showed his class at the World Cup, scoring a sensational late free-kick against Spain to complete his hat-trick in the group stages

 Many maybe surprised to see Lionel Messi not make the podium for the first time since 2006

 The Argentine has won the award four times compared to Ronaldo's five.  Modric is the second favourite at 2/1 while Mo Salah remains the outsider at 7/1

 The winners of the award will be decided by 25% from national team coaches, 25% from national team captains, 25% from selected media representatives and 25% online vote

Hi, I'm Mike Sheriff and I'm creating sci-fi short stories.

thanks to a glut of free ebooks, Royal Doultan figurines, and cute-cat pictures.

Writing's my full-time job, and that means I have to devote my time to

projects that bring in the most revenue.

And that means novels.
