The Monaco midfielder has been linked with a move to Leicester City and an exit from the Stade Louis II could well happen over the next few days
Here's all the information you need to know about the 21-year-old. Who is he? Tielemans was regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in the game not so long ago after bursting onto the scene at Anderlecht as a youngster
He made his debut for the Belgian side at the tender age of 16 after coming off the bench to replace Sacha Kljestan in the league game against Lokeren in 2013, before then becoming the youngest Belgian player to play in the Champions League at the start of October as he started against Olympiacos
Making 33 appearances in all competitions in his debut campaign for the club, Tielemans netted his first goal for Anderlecht in the 3-0 win over Club Brugge in April as they won the league
Continuing to enhance his game as he became a key part of the starting XI, the player then made his international debut for Belgium in November 2016 in the 1-1 draw with Netherlands
Collecting the Belgian Young Player of the Year award in his first two seasons, he then picked up the Belgian Professional Footballer of the Year at the end of the 2016/17 season before joining Monaco for around €25m How has he done this season? Having made 35 appearances in all competitions for the French club last campaign with just one goal to his name, Tielemans has managed to find the net on a more regular basis this term
Netting his first of the campaign in the 3-2 defeat against Marseille at the start of September, the player has scored a further four goals for the Ligue 1 side this year
However, despite featuring in 29 games for his side so far, a January move looks on the cards following Leonardo Jardim's return to the club following Thierry Henry's dismissal last week
It is reported that the player has a difficult relationship with the manager, thus paving the way for an exit before Thursday's deadline
Who wants him? A number of clubs are believed to be interested in a deal for the Belgian before the deadline
Leicester City are at the front of the queue at present and they will be hoping to get a deal over the line given there's now interest from elsewhere
According to The Telegraph , Spurs could be about to hijack the move with chairman Daniel Levy believed to be willing to sanction the deal if Pochettino gives him the green light
However, Belgian publication HLN (via Sport Witness ) claim that AC Milan, Barcelona and Manchester United are also interested in the player with a move away from the Stade Louis II looking increasingly likely
It is believe the Ligue 1 side are willing to loan him out for the remainder of the season or cash in on him for around £20million
What has been said about him? Belgium manager Roberto Martinez hailed the midfielder after he made his 23-man World Cup squad in the summer

"This is part of his journey. "He can play different positions and he deserves to be here
" The ex-Everton manager then heaped further praise on the player in September after his performance in the 4-0 win over Scotland at Hampden Park
"Youri grows up every time, I enjoyed the collaboration with Mousa Dembele, they were patient, they controlled the tempo and knew when to accelerate and when to slow down," said the Spaniard
"They were both very good, We have seen the maturity of an experienced player like Dembele but also the experience of a young player like Tielemans
