Waching daily Jan 31 2019

Hello this is Lucas Palmeira from Imaginando and I'm here to give you another tutorial on DRC.

Today I'm gonna show you how to make the bass sound and arpeggio for the song 'Cloud Generator' by Kink

So let's start and get right into it...

And I'm going to delete this one and open a DRC, new one, OK.

Here we have it.

You can see that I have a compressor here, but this compressor is only to do sidechain with the kick,

so every time the kick hits it dips just a little bit on the volume, so it gives a little bit of pumping effect

But to do the sound now, we don't need it and it wont make a difference

So I'm gonna start by changing the mode from POLY to MONO

And I go to the first oscillator [OSC 1] and raise 1 octave

And I'm gonna raise the second oscillator [OSC 2] to maximum

MASTER to maximum.

Now I go to the second oscillator.

Take 1 octave, and raise the fine tune to 0.280

OK

Now the PRE-GAIN we take it to 0.803

Should be enough...

Now we raise the first oscillator to 0.575

And we raise the SUB oscillator to 0.640

Awesome.

Now we change the filter from a low-pass 4-pole to a low-pass 2-pole

This means the drop in frequency of the filter will be slower

Now we bring the envelope generator 2 [EG2] to about 0.518

Raise the RESONANCE to 0.174

Give us a little bit of high frequencies

Now drop the CUTOFF to 0

But then we go to the modulation page,

And drop the keyboard [KBD] to -0.56

Sorry: -0.562

This means the higher the note the lower the cutoff frequency

So the filter is done, and finally we go to the first envelope generator, [EG 1] which controls the amplitude,

DECAY at 0.465

Now we drop the SUSTAIN to 0.660

And the RELEASE to 0.1

Now the second envelope generator [EG 2] which is modulating the cut off,

We raise the DECAY to 0.882

And the SUSTAIN to 0.874

And finally the RELEASE 0.100

Finally we go to the reverb:

We raise the DECAY to 0.478 and raise the AMOUNT to 0.1

Like this, just to give it a little bit of space.

OK and we have our bass done.

So I'm gonna close it, and now let's do the arpeggio.

Let's pick another DRC again

And first thing I'm going to do is go to the second oscillator change it to a square wave

And fine tune it to 0.232

Put it at maximum, the second oscillator like this

now we go to the first oscillator and we change it to a square wave

raise one octave as well

And we change the pulse width modulation because

basically pulse is a square wave that has a different width on one of the phases.

Change the pulse width [P. WIDTH] to 0.365

OK like this

Let's put the MASTER at 0.699

the PRE-GAIN at 0.595

Oscillator one at 0

And we will raise the ring modulator [RING] which is summing both oscillators

to 0.582

Now we go to the filter envelope generator two should be ok at 0.505

CUTOFF filter it should be at 0.612

and now the RESONANCE at 0.144

Now envelope generator 1 [EG 1] SUSTAIN at 0

DECAY at 0.347

RELEASE at 0.133

Second envelope generator: we have DECAY at 0.230

SUSTAIN 0.4 - should be ok

And the RELEASE is already at 0.1

So here we have our sound

and this is it, I think we have all the sounds and everything we need

Let's now listen to the melody that I have recorded before,

just need to put this ready to listen, so bear with me just a second

Ok, should be ready, let's listen…

And this is it guys, I hope you have enjoyed this tutorial as much as I did doing it

and don't forget that we have the Ableton session of this project free to download in the description below

and we will see you again next week, goodbye.

Woman washes 365 pairs of socks for her lazy boyfriend - Daily News - Duration: 2:13.

A woman who gifted 365 pairs of socks to her lazy boyfriend a year ago is now regretting the decision

The woman, who is now married to the man, ended up washing all of the dirty socks that her husband wore and accumulated the entire year - taking her two whole days

Video of the painstaking laundry task shows hundreds of wet white socks hanging on a dozen washing lines on the balcony of the couple's flat in China

Another large pile is left in the washing machine.  Share this article Share Apparently, the woman's then-boyfriend was too lazy to do his laundry, so she came up with the special gift a year ago

'Last year, I gave my boyfriend 365 pairs of socks on his birthday. This year, my boyfriend is now my husband, and I've just spent two days washing the socks he wore all year,' the woman wrote on Chinese micro-blogging site Weibo

after it was published on Sunday.  Net users praised the woman's high tolerance for her husband's poor hygiene

'This is the definition of true love!' one comment read. 'How does a man like this find a wife?' another user said

'Please do your own laundry! You're a grown man,' one user said.       'So did your house stink? I can't imagine what 365 pairs of stinky socks would smell like,' another said

'Well, at least he knew to wear a clean pair of socks every day,' one said.

Arsenal transfer news: RB Leipzig announce loan move for Emile Smith Rowe - Duration: 2:12.

Smith Rowe made his Arsenal debut earlier in the season and went on to make five further appearances, scoring five goals

Injury has meant the 18-year-old hasn't played since November 29. But the Gunners have opted to send the teenager out on loan to gain more first-team experience

Smith Rowe will wear the number 18 shirt for Leipzig. In a statement, Arsenal boss Unai Emery said: "Emile is a promising young player

"This move will get him valuable competitive action which is important as he continues his development

" Smith Rowe signed as a scholar in 2016, then put pen to paper on his first professional contract in July 2017 and is highly rated at the Emirates

He follows in the footsteps of team-mate Reiss Nelson, who is on a season-long loan at Hoffenheim

And last month, the teenager opened up on what Emery had been asking of him. "The manager has done one-to-one stuff with me a few times after training, working on one-v-one attacking and just being patient," Smith Rowe told Sky Sports

"The assistant manager [Juan Carlos Carcedo] has been helping me a lot too with turning on the ball when I play in the No 10 position

"It's good to get that help on the pitch, so I can actually practise it, instead of in the classroom

"But even in the classroom they have both had one-on-ones with me which I've found really useful

"

These Arsenal fans are raging over Ivan Gazidis and Milan's move for Nkunku - Duration: 1:53.

Arsenal risk missing out on the signing of PSG midfielder Christopher Nkunku, with reports in Italy suggesting AC Milan have entered the race to sign him

With hopes of striking a deal for either Ivan Perisic or Yannick Carrasco appearing to fade, Arsenal had seemed intent on adding Nkunku on a loan deal with a view to buy, similar to the Denis Suarez move which will be confirmed imminently

But Milan's interest may prompt a rethink, with Arsenal running out of time to add another new addition to their ranks ahead of the 11pm deadline

Former Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis is now at Milan having completed a switch there at the tail end of 2018 and many fans have reacted predictably to news of the Serie A outfit's interest in Nkunku

They had also reportedly spoken to Dalian Yifang about a possible deal for Carrasco and Gunners supporters have taken aim at Gazidis as a result

Here's the best of the social media reaction to news Milan may look to hijack the Nkunku deal

Guided Meditation for Inner Peace and Calmness | Visiting the Tree of Peace - Duration: 14:17.

Welcome to this guided meditation for inner peace and calmness.

This is your time to take a relaxing moment just for yourself.

Today, we are going on a wonderful journey.

We are going to visit the Tree of Peace.

This is the perfect trip if your life has been a bit hectic lately,

and you need a moment to relax.

So, let's begin.

Take a moment to find a secluded place or quiet area where you won't be distracted

or interrupted for the next 20 minutes or so.

If possible, dim the lights.

Sit or lie down and make yourself comfortable.

Don't forget to loosen any tight clothing.

If you want to, close your eyes.

Or you can watch the relaxing images on this video.

Allow your body to relax.

Feel your body sink into the chair or bed or whatever you are resting on.

Let your hands rest loosely by your side.

Put aside the thoughts of any tasks waiting for you.

Give yourself permission to enjoy this guided meditation.

If you feel your mind begin to wander during the meditation, just gently bring it back

to the sound of my voice.

Remember, you are in control at all times during this journey.

So, if at any time you need to stop, simply open your eyes.

Now, take a deep breath in and let it out.

Take another breath in, and let it out.

As you breathe in, feel the air fill your lungs.

And as you breathe out, allow the air leaving your body to take the tension with it.

Let the tension drain away with each breath.

As you continue breathing in and out, the outside world beings to fade away from

your awareness.

Little noises and everyday sounds just don't seem to matter.

Let them float away.

As you continue to breath gently in and out, you may notice your body starting to relax.

That's wonderful.

Let it relax.

You may notice your breathing is getting a little slower,

a little deeper,

a little calmer.

You start to notice a comfortable warmth in your chest.

It spreads from your chest to your stomach.

This warmth radiates out to your shoulders and arms,

and your legs and feet.

Every muscle it touches beings to relax.

Enjoy the peaceful warm feelings as they spread to your fingers and your toes,

to your neck and your jaw.

Let the warmth spread to you eyelids and to your forehead.

Your entire body is relaxed.

You feel safe and comfortable.

You are now in a deep state of relaxation,

And it's time to enjoy your guided meditation journey.

As I speak, allow your imagination to form images.

If you have trouble seeing the images inside your mind,

that's okay.

Just listen to my voice.

Imagine you are standing on the edge of a forest.

It is a beautiful day.

Not too cold, not too warm.

The sky is a deep clear blue.

You can feel a gentle breeze blowing against your skin.

Birds chirp and sing to one another.

In the distance, you can hear the trickling water of a brook.

You feel warm and safe in this beautiful forest.

Looking at the colors and shapes of the trees and other plants,

you become more and more relaxed.

Ahead of you, you notice a path leading into the forest.

You start to walk along it.

Every step you take fills you with happiness and relaxation.

As you go deeper into the forest, you are completely surrounded by the beautiful trees.

The sunlight filters through higher up branches and travels down to the leaves and bushes

and dances along the path.

Up ahead, you see a clearing.

In the center of the clearing is a tree.

This is not an ordinary tree.

This is a special tree.

It is much larger than any of the other trees you have seen in the forest.

Its trunk is thick and sturdy, and it has many branches.

You can tell that it's an ancient tree.

You can see its strong roots winding away from the base as they enter the rich dark

earth surrounding it.

The trees leaves seem to glow.

The trunk is covered in a beautiful bark that has an iridescent shimmer to it.

It's almost magical.

This is the Tree of Peace.

Standing beneath this tree, you feel protected and secure.

There is nothing to fear here.

And you have no worries.

You realize that you have an overwhelming urge to touch the tree.

That's okay.

The tree is welcoming you.

Reach out to touch the bark.

Feel its texture under your fingers.

As you touch it, you begin to feel a wave of soothing energy flow out from the tree

and into your hands.

The energy flows into your body.

It spreads through your body and calms your mind.

You feel filled with a sense of tranquility.

Savor these feelings.

There is no need to rush.

Let them linger.

Stand by the tree, or even sit by it

and let its peaceful energy continue to fill you.

Allow that energy to become a part of you.

And as the trees peaceful energy fills you,

repeat these self affirmations to yourself:

I am safe, and all is well.

All I need to do right now is breathe.

A peaceful energy surrounds me.

I send peace from myself out into the world.

What a wonderful gift this Tree of Peace has given you.

These feelings will stay with you long after the end of this journey.

It's time to leave the forest now.

Remember that you can return within your mind at any time to the Tree of Peace.

Or you can always watch this meditation again if you wish to be guided on this journey.

I'm going to count from 5 to 1.

When I reach 1, you are going to be awake and refreshed and filled with peace.
