and yes it's still a brand new channel so stick around because I've got a lot

to tell you about marketing affiliate marketing self development personal

development and anything in between so with that being said today we're gonna

talk about the meaning of a sales funnel and for those of you who are running a

business this is really gonna be valuable for you so stick around and

let's get on with the video

I don't have a whiteboard but I've got this um wallpaper and it's white at the

back so let's just get something straight okay in this channel we

improvise we improvise we don't complain we don't make excuses

we are gonna make this work

so what is a sales funnel sorry guys it's not this one and it's not this one either

a sales funnel is very important in

every business and you might not realize it you probably do have a sales funnel

in your business it's probably not a very good one but we're gonna talk to

you about how a perfect sales funnel should be structured now a sales funnel

is a magnetic conversions engine and what is a conversion a conversion is

basically training your leads into customers or clients so basically a

sales funnel is the evolution of websites I'm sure every business has a

website if not it's ok we can get you a sales funnel

so this is what a sales funnel looks like

is where people come in when they see your

marketing either on social media on your ads when they hear you on on the radio

when they see your marketing for the first time

they have awareness of your

brand of your product or your service and the next step in the funnel is where

they become they become leads so they become leads because it's either they

sign up to your program signed up to your service or they fill up a form and

they gave you their details their email their contacts and you have acquired

them as your lead the next step in the funnel is

they become prospects because

they get to learn your product or service they have an idea of what you

are selling they got to know about you and they actually have intention to buy

and the last step in the funnel is the purchase phase this is where they buy

now I'm going to break it down to you in stages so when people come into your

funnel they've got awareness for your brand

and they were introduced to you they know about you they've seen you for the first

time through your marketing through social media through ads when they see

you for the first time they are all just aware they're all strangers and that is called

cold traffic you know the term cold calling cold calling for the first

time they are called cold traffic what is traffic traffic is people basically

so you're a stranger to them they're seeing you for the first time and they

were interested because of your good marketing that they become a lead and a

lead is someone who basically has shown interest they've given you their email

they've given you their details they filled up a form whatever it may be they

become a lead and you can follow up by educating them and giving value to them

when when you're giving value to your leads you're educating them and they

become prospects you tell them your offers you tell them what they're gonna

get from the product or service that you're providing and they actually have

intention to buy they actually are interested in buying your product or service

and they are called warm traffic and warm traffic is they know you they

know about your product they don't essentially like know if they're gonna

buy yet but they sort of are keeping an eye on you and and they're sort of still

waiting to be a bit more convinced before they buy remember most people are

not ready to buy people usually have to be retargeted and retargeted and they

usually have to see your ad or your value or your education or whatever

content that you put out there for marketing they usually have to see it

several times before they buy usually people are not gonna buy at the first

stage then once you manage to convince your prospects that your offer is what

they really need they become buyers and this is called

hot traffic hot traffic

is your fans basically so you know Apple you know whenever like Apple

puts out a new cell phone or a new MacBook or whatever it is like there are

people like waiting outside in line to get that product that is called hot

traffic Apple's got a lot of hot traffic so kudos to them so basically these are

your fans these are the ones who are waiting for your next product and

they're gonna buy over and over again as long as you provide content value and

tell them that there is something up for grabs

the good thing about a sales funnel is

they are so obsessed with you that they tell their friends through

word-of-mouth and their friends go all the way up and enter the funnel and have

to go through the whole process okay so let's give an example of say a

gym okay so when you see a gym for the first time yea you probably see them

like through social media

so this is you and I don't know why your legs are up

but they're up okay so you probably saw them in social media

and the social media is the first stage so this is the marketing stage

and then what's the next thing you do you go to the gym you open the door you enter

the gym and you look around and you see the gym you see the receptionist you

talk to the receptionist and then they get you to fill up a form

so you fill up a form you sign up you do whatever it is to become a lead in online terms we

call this step the squeeze page

it's called the squeeze page because

it's a page where it's so eye-catching they really see that there's value and they want to

know what it is so you squeeze out the information or details out of them so

you either get their email their phone number

or even just their name

then what's the next thing that happens a coach comes to

greet you and he asked if you want to look around he'd be happy to look around

would you like some tea or coffee but then you say no but then you really want it

but then you still go and that stage is called the intro

the intro gets you

to be interested in the product or service in the gym you look around

you're like oh cool I've never seen that on the website you have a pool awesome

and after all the introduction after you got to see the whole gym the next thing

that you do is

you buy

you become a customer

and the gym makes a sale from you

you know it's a really good thing about a sales funnel

you can upsell

when a customer buys something the next thing you can do is add an upsell because

they're already interested they already bought they see the value in your

product or service they see the benefit of buying so you can add the next best

thing what's the next best thing after signing

up for a membership at a gym maybe it's the gyms branded clothes you can add

that as an upsell or maybe it's a protein shake you want to get fit right

so you want to start gaining muscle or maybe it's a nutrition book the whole

point of a sales funnel is getting them from being a stranger to becoming your

fan to buying whatever you put out there you might be thinking right now Natalie

I know all that like it's common sense I knew that every single business has to

have that procedure but then what about those who don't really have a sales

funnel let's give an example okay let's talk about a gym and let's pretend that

there was no receptionist there was no coach and there was no nothing there was

no information okay what if you walk inside the gym you walk

into a gym and there's nobody there you just look around and you're overwhelmed

and you didn't even get to know that there was a pool because you di dn't know

where to go to see the pool guys that system

is called a website why is it a website so when you open a website okay

what do you see you see

you see ah you see so much and you look around you see all the

photos you see all the videos you look at everything and you're just so

overwhelmed and the bad thing about it guys is that you as a customer can click

off at any time you can go away at any time but the thing about a sales funnel

online is that you take them through these specific steps it's a series of

specific steps that every single customer who comes in has to go through

in order every single step before they buy but what our websites doing websites

are putting the last stage the buy stage of the funnel in front of a stranger

so there you have it folks I hope you understand what a sales funnel is and

how important it is for your business and you can probably even ditch your

website because you don't need that you don't need to complicate your customers

and clients you don't need to overwhelm them with all this information that they

can click here click there click everywhere and then click out no you

want to be a receptionist or a coach who takes them along and shows them every
