Cliff Sims book Team of Vipers: My 500 Extraordinary Days in the Trump White House, was released Tuesday as the Alabama native becomes the latest presidential adviser to pen a tell all book. calling Sims a low level staffer and a mess.
Who is Cliff Sims?
A native of Enterprise, Sims attended Delta State University where he played basketball, a period of time hes referenced during his media tour about his book. He went on to attend the University of Alabama where he chaired the College Republicans chapter. In 2010, he ran the campaign for Alabama State Rep. Barry Moore.
In college and after, Sims was , including fronting bands called Moses and Colour Academy, which say playing time on MTV.
While in college Sims launched a conservative political blog called Yellowhammer, which later turned into Yellowhammer News, a statewide news site, and a host of other politically related ventures. The site often touted – and was criticized for – its ties to Republicans leaders around the state.
In 2016, Sims took a leave of absence from Yellowhammer to serve as an adviser to Donald Trumps presidential campaign, a move that occurred just as then Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions influence within the campaign grew. Sims is the latest Trump staffer to write about their time in the White House. Former aides Sean Spicer and Omarosa Manigault Newman have previously penned works.
