Waching daily Jun 27 2018

Do you remember hearing about that weird, strange-shaped

object that passed through our inner solar system late last

year? It was the first object we've confirmed to have come

from outside our solar system, and was given the name

'Oumuamua, Hawaiian for "scout or messenger from our distant

past." Now, scientists have analyzed data from many

observatories, including NASA's Hubble Space Telescope, and

found that this interstellar object has gained an unexpected

boost of speed. After 'Oumuamua was discovered with Hawaii's

Pan-STARRS 1 telescope as it surveyed the skies for

near-Earth asteroids in October 2017, observatories all around

and above the world focused on the approximately half-mile long

object to learn as much as possible about this cosmic

visitor before it flew too far away to see. The Hubble Space

Telescope was used to collect observations to determine the

object's trajectory over two months in late 2017 and early

2018. The observations were combined with data from multiple

ground-based observatories, which showed 'Oumuamua to have a

small, continuous non-gravitational

"acceleration." Something besides just the gravity from

the Sun and planets was affecting the trajectory of

'Oumuamua. A probable source of this acceleration is jets of gas

coming off the object. This behavior is similar to objects

we have already identified as comets – when they get close to

the Sun, ices in the comet sublimate into gas, and

streamers of gas can push the object along. Usually when

comets do this the outgassing can be seen because it ejects

large amounts of dust, which form a cloud around the object,

called a coma, and a tail. But with 'Oumuamua, no type of coma

or tail was seen. Maybe 'Oumuamua doesn't have much dust

left after its interstellar journey – an amount no more than

a couple coffee cans of material, making the dust too

sparse for us to see. Or, maybe the dust was much larger than

normal, making it hard for us to detect. I know that sounds

counterintuitive, but it's easiest to detect dust when the

particles are similar in size to the wavelength of light we're

using. Observatories were looking at 'Oumuamua in visible

light, where we have the most sensitive detectors, but larger

particles of dust would be easier to detect with microwave

or radio wavelengths. This is definitely an unusual object,

and unfortunately no more new observations of 'Oumuamua are

possible because it's already too dim and far away for even

Hubble to see. But when there's one weird object there are

probably more. Sky survey programs will keep an eye out

for other interstellar visitors, and the Hubble Space Telescope

will be ready to contribute observations to better

understand any more orphaned vagabonds traveling between the

the stars.

Mal Of The Joe Budden Podcast Confirms Drake's "Scorpion" Is A Double Album - Duration: 3:31.

Mal Of The Joe Budden Podcast Confirms Drake's "Scorpion" Is A Double Album

With Drake's Scorpion set to drop this Friday, fan excitement is once again beginning to crescendo.

Admittedly, the good-old-fashioned ass-whoopin' administered by Pusha T somewhat hindered expectations, but Drake's superstar status is simply too strong.

Now, the hype-train has once again proceeded to roll, with several billboards popping up in the greater Toronto area; the inclusion of "Side A/Side B" messages left many speculating whether Drizzy was about to unleash a double album upon us.

Now, it would appear that the theory has indeed been confirmed, by none other than Mal of the Joe Budden Podcast.

For those who don't know, Mal has been a fixture on Budden's show for a minute.

The brother of Roc-a-fella's Kareem "Biggs" Burke, Mal has cultivated a mass of industry connections, including some to the OVO camp; the connection has prompted both Joe and Rory to dub him "OVO Mal" on occasion.

Now, on today's episode, it would appear that OVO Mal was out in full effect, as the host seemed to confirm what many suspected.

Scorpion is indeed a double album, highlighting the dual nature of Drake's personality.

"It's a double album," confirms Mal, straightforward as ever.

"RnB album and a rap album." There you have it.

Scorpion talk kicks off around one hour and fourteen minutes.

Why Venus is hotter than Mercury - Duration: 3:00.

Hi, this is SP and

And I'm gonna talk about why mercury is much

colder than Venus first of all

Venus is hotter than mercury even though it's real

Really much further from the Sun than mercury is

the only reason why because Venus has really really thick layer of

Greenhouse gases which makes up an effect called the greenhouse effect

Mercury the smallest planet though, even though closest to the Sun and has a lot of things in its atmosphere

It hasn't really thin atmosphere, uh

Venus has only a few

Few things that mercury doesn't have any few things that that makes up its atmosphere

But it makes it really thick

So it's gonna be mercury it has you see the stock side, right?

This dark side meaning this is the coldest side of mercury

Venus never cools down because the heat can't get through its atmosphere

Just pretend that that you had just he's an activity you can do

He know get a bouncy ball, but then you can only do this activity inside

So, yeah, so just like I said get a bouncy ball

throw it up on

What?

Whitshire your roof is on like maybe like over the floors always the next floors on

So then it comes down right? It's the same thing with the greenhouse gases, but really with

He goes up, but it can't go so it goes back down

This is just the same thing that they'll happen with the ball

Okay, so like mercury is really smaller than Venus

Yeah, but mercury has the second hottest degree even though it's much colder than Venus

So that's why Venus is much hotter than mercury and mercury is colder than Venus

Thank you for watching

Ariana Grande Is Bringing Back '90s Snap Clips & Your Pile Of Scrunchies Is Quaking - Duration: 5:11.

Ariana Grande Is Bringing Back '90s Snap Clips & Your Pile Of Scrunchies Is Quaking

The '90s have infiltrated the last couple of years in a major way, where we're all wearing everything from FILA fanny packs, to Jerry Seinfeld dad shoes, to thick scrunchies around high ponytails.

But now another fashion accessory is having its blast from the past moment, and not many of us saw it coming.

Ariana Grande is championing the snap clip, bringing a junior high touch to your streetstyle looks.

The artist teased its debut during the weekend, when she was snapped in the now-iconic photo of her licking a lollipop and looking up lovingly at fiancé Pete Davidson while they were out running errands.

While fans loved how happy she looked, they also couldn't help but notice the '90s-esque outfit Grande was wearing.

Sporting a baggy yellow hoodie with a mini Louis Vuitton bag carelessly slung cross-body, her chunky bangs were held back by a trio of metal clips in a way that Lizzie McGuire would be proud of.

You can see the look here.

Coupled with the fact that Davidson wore a plaid shirt over a graphic tee, and put his hoodie over his ball cap all grunge-like, the pair made a person want to to double check the calendar to make sure we haven't been flung back 30 years. This wasn't the first time Grande wore the snap hair clips, either.

Just a few days later she accented her ponytail once again with the metal barrette, placing it behind her ear and to the side of her hair part.

While Grande's casual styling of the childhood hair clips makes us want to copy it ASAP, there has been something of a slow-brew over the last couple of months when it comes to the revival of '90s hair accessories.

Alexander Wang brought the claw clip back during his runway show, which was a staple in most mother's drawers but now looks impossibly stylish when coupled with wetly gelled hair.

Then models like Ashley Graham and Gigi Hadid channeled their inner Spice Girls when they wore zigzag headbands on the Prabal Gurung runway, adding an unexpected touch to the knit dresses and silk blouses.

Scrunchies have also had a major revival, letting us channel our inner Kelly Kapowski and Lisa Turtle, but in a modern way.

Selena Gomez was spotted wearing a thick, black scrunchie on top of a high fishtail braid (so good,) and Hailey Baldwin wore hers with a split high ponytail in a very Cher Horowitz kind of way.

But while we thought that the scrunchie was going to be as wild as we got when it came to reviving the '90s in our haircare drawers, in came the snap clips.

Grande wasn't the first to usher them in, either, though she did bring them back into the public eye.

Solange was one of the first to don the look in 2016, when she showed up to the CFDA Awards wearing a molten silver suit and a row of metallic barrettes on each side of her head to match. But now people are starting to dabble with the look more seriously, incorporating it into off-duty looks like Grande did, and high fashion moments.

For example, Kristen Noel Crawley, founder of the Insta-famous beauty brand KNC Beauty, wore two clips right by her center part for the Super Bowl, giving it an elevated athleisure vibe with her faux fur coat and track pants.

Negin Mirsalehi, the founder of Gisou Hair, the bee-based hair company, accented her Alberta Ferretti outfit for Paris Fashion Week with two metal clips, giving the pre-teen look some serious class.

Whether you sport it like Grande and match your clips with a high ponytail and hoodie, or decide to clip your center part down with barrettes that match your sequined dress, it all looks amazing.

Just as long as you have fun with it!.

Germany Is Out of World Cup 2018 | Heavy.com - Duration: 3:07.

Germany Is Out of World Cup 2018 | Heavy.com

The 2014 world champions are out of the World Cup in Russia.

Germany's 2-0 loss to South Korea and Sweden's 3-0 victory over Mexico means that the 2014 World Cup winners are heading home.

This is the first time since 1954 that Germany is going out before the knockout stages.

The Germans has made it to at least the quarter finals in every World Cup tournament since 1954.

The team, littered with stars such as Toni Kroos and Mesut Ozil, began by losing to Mexico 1-0 in their first game and only followed that up with a late winner against Sweden in their second.

Quite incredibly, Germany, who went into the tournament as one of the favorites, finished in last place in Group F.

The German game against South Korea was among the most dramatic in World Cup history as Young-Gwon Kim scored a controversial goal that had to be judged by VAR before it was allowed.

The heroic Heung-Min Son followed that up with a second goal extremely late in the game.

German World Cup runner-up, Didi Hamann, said that the German's exit was as a result of "indiscipline.".

The Germans are the fourth of the last five World Cup winners to be going home after the first round.

In 2002, France was eliminated by Denmark and Senegal.

In 2006, Brazil did the best of recent winners, making it to the quarter finals where they were knocked out by France, well by Zinedine Zidane.

In 2010, Italy lost to Slovakia in their final group game in South Africa to be sent packing.

Four years later, in Brazil, it was Spain's turn to be humiliated and sent home in the first round, starting their tournament with a 5-1 defeat to the Netherlands.

The Associated Press reported in May that Germany's soccer federation was critical of Ozil, and İlkay Gündoğan's, decision to meet with the Turkish president.

Something that the agency said caused problems in the national team.

How Your Homepage Is Like A Job Interview - Duration: 4:06.

hello everyone and welcome I am back at the whiteboard and today you're probably

wondering why I'm all dressed up that's because I have a job interview actually

you do too and it's with your potential customers in fact today we are talking

about just that how your homepage is like a job interview so first of all if

we have that first greeting this is your first impression with your say potential

employer or in this case with your potential customer so you want to

present your most important information and what you can give those customers

above the fold with a very clear statement of your UVP you should really

know your personas in this case so you know the exact right thing to say

next you want to follow that up with a really solid handshake or a solid

follow-up statement this should communicate what you do next

we have your overall appearance now as much as you may want to show off your

artsy side with that pink mohawk or those crazy earrings you might just want

to leave that at home you want them to focus on what is really important and

not have too many distracting elements so avoid distractions like an overwhelming

hero image or maybe any objects that are moving that don't need to be moving and

also to obey a visual hierarchy that keeps the focus on the most important

elements of the page next up ask questions so we all know that in a good

interview the interviewer should ask questions and the interviewee should

ask questions back so make sure that you are welcoming further probing that

you're getting them to think about their needs by asking them questions how can

you do this well give them a vehicle to enter into this deeper conversation with

you so maybe that's a contact form of some sort maybe an email subscription

form but make sure that it comes up front next your invitation to start the

interview do you have a strong call to action here we're not just talking about

learn more but something that is causing them to commit

to a very specific action-oriented verbiage should be used such as find out

about our process or view our services next step small talk yes some people are

not ready just to take that deep dive and they need you to talk around and

speak around the bush a little bit so make sure that you provide those people

that need it a little bit more information about who you are and what

you do so that then they can start the interview next up your references so

just like your interviewer is going to want to know if you're the real deal by

talking to your references you want to make sure to do a little name-dropping

alright so if you're a b2b brand show recognizable brands that trust you so

maybe use their logos on your homepage to display this or in a b2c context you

can put customer testimonial posts right up front maybe even with those real

authentic pictures of them so they can relate to it lastly there's always that

background check so if they want to learn more make sure you're providing

menus that help your visitors get the information that they need to make that

final decision and that is how your homepage is like an interview but

remember not all home pages or interviews are alike so make sure that

you really know your personas your industries and so that you can present

that great first impression and turn those visitors into quality leads and

customers that's all we have time for today this has been Tammy marketing

manager our Campaign Creators thanks for nerding out with me
