Exercises for a Baby with Low Tone #35: Playing in Low Kneel - Duration: 1:54.

Hello! My name is Amy Sturkey. I'm here with Myla. I am a pediatric physical

therapist, and she is my co-instructor. She just turned 12 months old, and she has Down Syndrome.

We are trying low kneel propping. This is a way to make it a little bit easier to do

hands and knees. So instead of being on hands and knees all the way down on the

floor where it is really hard, I'm bringing the floor up a little bit

where she could prop on one arm and reach. She is low on her knees. Goodness Gracious. I've got the

toy is on her left side. I want to also do some where ...Oh, I don't know if you can see the

sneaky hand, but it's underneath her trunk to make sure she's safe, right here.

I want to..Wait! You have to prop on something. There you go. Put this hand down. Okay. There you go. Wait! Prop on something. So, in this case, since she is not wanting to prop

So, I can hold her arm, right at the elbow, and hold it...Wait! Hold on! I'm losing her

legs and everything. I can be on my (laughing) I can be on my knees behind her. Here we

go. Okay, but this is good! That way I trap her

knees a little bit better, and I can hold the elbow and she can prop. This is a

simple idea to work hands and knees propping on something a little higher.

Thanks a lot! Bye-bye! (Laughter!)

Starved, flogged and abused: Survivor seeks redress for the sake of future generations - Duration: 6:38.

Starved, flogged and abused: Survivor seeks redress for the sake of future generations

James 'Michael' Widdy Welsh is wearing a St George-Illawarra Dragons cap and a sparkle in his eyes.

We have never met before but he takes my hand in his.

"I'm not used to people being kind to me," he tells me.

As his words sink in, he places his arms around my neck.

"C'mon love, give me a hug.

Nine years of his precious childhood were spent without any form of affection at the Kinchela Boys Home in Kempsey in northern New South Wales.

He recounts how startled he was when he was finally reunited with his grandmother.

She held him tight and hugged him for what seemed like an eternity.

For years Mr Welsh struggled to understand how his mother could have let him go.

As a young man he found her living on the banks of the Namoi River, hiding from the authorities.

As they cried together she told him "the welfare people wouldn't leave [me] alone".

"They just kept coming, telling her they could give us a better life than what she could give us, they just coerced her," he explained.

All seven taken from their mother.

"There were seven of us that were taken from my mother," he said.

"My brother was 10, I was eight, my sister was five, brothers four and two, and twin brothers and sisters six months old.

"We journeyed down to Central station and they separated us, and myself and my older brother Barry we were put on the train to go to Kempsey.

"We were dragged though the gates of the place, it still hurts.

At the age of eight, he was stripped of his identity.

For the next nine years he was known as "36".

But the boys had nicknames for each other — he was "Salt" because of his light skin, his brother was "Pepper".

"It was not a good place," Mr Welsh said.

"We were starved, we were flogged and were abused physically and sexually.

He gave his account to the Royal Commission in a private session in October 2016 along with other 'brothers' from the Kinchela Boys Home.

"We wanted people to know just how evil people can be and were to us," he said.

"You shouldn't break families down, you shouldn't split families, not only just children, you need to protect families.

The meaning of trauma.

As I ask about how the cruelty and sexual abuse affected his life, Mr Welsh sighs deeply and the tears roll down his cheeks.

"You can see what's happening to me now," he said.

He describes a life of fear and distrust — of waking up ready to fight back.

"I would drink so I could sleep and not think about the things that happened to me," he said.

"I became hooked up in the system of courts, police, jails, because I told myself when I was 18 no one was going to tell me what to do again … I will do life my way.

Over three decades he found himself "going in and out of the big jails".

"The word trauma — I didn't know it existed," he said.

Mr Welsh will apply for redress under the National Redress Scheme.

"It's a little bit confusing, but it's good that they're doing the redress," he said.

"The biggest problem I have is the trauma I have in my life and the trauma that's been handed down to my children and the generational trauma that goes on.

However, Mr Welsh is concerned he might not be eligible as he has served time behind bars.

But a redress payment would make a difference, especially for his children and grandchildren.

"I would love to be able to have a property where they could build their houses," he said.

"But have a big sign out the front gate, saying 'there's no drugs, no alcohol, no swearing, it you don't like that, go somewhere else'.

"That's my dream.

Redmond O'Neal Sued by Alleged Stabbing Victim for Assault and Battery - News Today - Duration: 5:12.

Redmond O'Neal has been sued by one of the two men he allegedly stabbed in May.  The 33-year-old son of Farrah Fawcett and Ryan O'Neal — who was arrested last month for an alleged armed robbery — was sued for assault and battery in connection to an alleged stabbing that occurred in Venice, California, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE

In the complaint, which was filed on Tuesday in Los Angeles Superior Court, the alleged victim claimed that on May 4, Redmond "drew a knife and threatened to kill him

"  He went on to claim that Redmond then "plunged a knife three and one-half inches into [his] brain" and then slit his "throat along the carotid artery

" The news was first reported on by TMZ.  As a result of the alleged attack, the victim claims he has been "severely injured," sustaining damage to "his body and shock and injury to his nervous system and person

"  He is suing Redmond for punitive damages as well as compensation to cover "all medical and related expenses" as well as "loss of earnings," as he claims his injuries have prevented him from working

Earlier this month, the Los Angeles District Attorney charged Redmond with what LAPD detectives branded a "violent crime spree

" Redmond, who has battled drug addiction for years, allegedly "randomly attacked five men in unprovoked confrontations," the LAPD said in a statement provided to PEOPLE at the time

The alleged attacks started on May 2 and culminated on May 8 when Redmond was arrested for allegedly robbing a 7-Eleven Store in Venice

Police allege that Redmond was responsible for all of the attacks as he matches witnesses' descriptions and security footage of a red-haired male with distinct facial tattoos

Redmond was charged earlier this month with a long list of offenses, including one count of attempted murder, two counts of assault with a deadly weapon, one count of criminal threats, one count of brandishing a knife and one count of battery

Police allege that on May 2 Redmond "became angry" after a man "appeared to look at him," then punched the man before trying to stab him with a broken bottle

The man sustained minor injuries to his face.  In the early hours of the next day, police claim that when a man tried to speak to him outside a convenience store, Redmond punched the man in the head, causing minor injuries, before throwing him to the ground

On May 4, a man fitting Redmond's description walked up to another man on the famed Venice Beach Boardwalk, stabbing him, police said

"Initially, the victim thought that the suspect had merely 'punched' him in the back," authorities said in the statement

"However, once paramedics arrived, the paramedics discovered that the victim had sustained a serious stab wound to the left side of his body

"  According to police, a surveillance camera captured a man who matched Redmond's description walking away from the scene

The man sustained "significant and serious stab wounds and cuts to his face, neck, and upper body," police said

In the final incident that police attribute to Redmond, he allegedly became belligerent inside a coffee shop and when an employee intervened, Redmond pulled out a folding knife and "lunged, jabbed and threatened to harm the employee with the knife," authorities said

Later that night, Redmond was arrested for allegedly robbing the 7-Eleven at knifepoint

While Redmond has yet to enter a plea in relation to the new charges, he previously pled not guilty to two counts of possessing a controlled substance and one count of assault with a deadly weapon, and was denied bail by a judge
