Echo of Moscow Is De-Facto Bankrupt. Venediktov Demands Free Money From Gazprom. - Duration: 9:08.Echo of Moscow - De-Facto Bankrupt. Venediktov Demands Free Money From Gazprom
One of the most annoying traits of reality in Russia is that we have, as it were,
a special caste of people who are beyond normal laws and regulations.
They go even further than that, as they are not subject to the many, very many cultural stereotypes [of Russian society].
This is important, as such a special status gives these people the opportunity to become impudent and simply behave like pigs
without having to fear any repercussions.
Let's do a thought experiment; I am certain that you will see that I am right.
Imagine a news report:
a state enterprise was investigated, violations were discovered,
and during the investigation, it turns out that the enterprise's manager is now suspected of having led his company to bankruptcy.
If the suspect were your average civil servant or manager, society's reaction would be half-hearted and as you would expect:
something like "well, what can you do, they're all like that."
And now imagine that the suspect is not just a manager, but a manager who is famous for his irreconcilable anti-state opinions and hyper-liberal political views.
Let us imagine that we are dealing with a director like Serebrennikov or a chief editor like Venediktov: what do we see?
Correct! We begin to hear wild cries about political repression, the destruction of freedom of expression, the return of 1937, etc.
Any security official, any investigator, any auditor or tax inspector will have to think 300 times before opening such a Pandora's box
and create a serious problem for themselves. Even in the case where
if the evidence for the representative of the exalted liberal caste's violations is clear as day.
What we see, is that being an open anti-state element is favorable in Russia,
because you can suck money from the government,
steal or simply be negligent while managing your assets,
and with all of this still have a strong insurance against persecution.
This is what they use in the Ekho Moskvy radio station,
which, if we check the [Russian] law, should have been closed roughly a year ago.
I would like to thank the alert readers and viewers who share my opinion and who send me very interesting documents
about the financial status of the country's premier anti-governmental media outlet, Ekho Moskvy.
The documents look very authentic and I am convinced that they reflect the real state of affairs,
as well as the way Venediktov and his helpers are using state money.
I will now share some discoveries with you. Sit more comfortably.
So, here's what is Kiev financial audit by the company "Neksia Pacholi" that was made for Ekho Moskvy in 2017.
According to calculations made by the auditors, on 31 December 2017, Ekho Moskvy's net assets amounted to
negative 38.59 million rubles ($606,938), and on 31 December 2016, it was negative 79.83 million rubles ($1.2 million).
And on 31 December 2017, a whopping negative 159.39 million rubles ($2.5 billion).
So Ekho Moskvy is not just losing money, but it has already thrown away money that it didn't have.
It's a big deal that this company should have been liquidated,
and not just from the point of view of common sense and financial logic, but from that of the Russian legal system.
Even the auditors that were hired by Ekho Moskvy
mentioned Chapter 4: Article 99 of the Russian Civil Code and I emphasize,
that "if the number of net assets of a company is lower than the minimum authorized capital, as determined by law, this company must be liquidated."
The lawyers I have asked confirm that Ekho's existence is contrary to the law.
According to Chapter 11: Article 34 of Federal Law No. 208-FZ "On Joint-Stock Companies",
"when at the end of the second financial year the amount of net assets is less than the required minimum authorized capital - 10,000 rubles ($159),
this company must take a decision to liquidate no more than six months after the end of the financial year."
But this is not all.
If a company doesn't want to liquidate itself, the process must be initiated by an organ that registers and verifies companies,
that means it can be done by the Federal Tax Service.
But I will never believe that the Moscow branch of the Federal Tax Service will, all the while strictly following the law, liquidate Ekho Moskvy.
As I have said, laws do not apply to Venediktov.
I get the idea that it is this subject that president Putin should have been asked about during his direct press conference.
The president, like a lawyer, should be interested in these conflicts.
I will emphasize that this is not even about Ekho Moskvy's editorial politics,
but about someone being allowed to do something that others are not.
We can draw a singular conclusion from the documents:
Ekho Moskvy has existed for the last three years only thanks to financial injections from Gazprom structures.
Venediktov's company is hanging to this day with an indebtedness agreement
for a loan of 40 million rubles ($637,145). With a penalty of 4.8 million ($76,453) a year since 2015.
These debts are organized by Gazprom Media Holding.
The financial situation will not improve in the future, as the predicted "deficit" will rise to roughly a quarter of a billion rubles in 2018.
I have a question for the representatives from Gazprom Media Holding.
Gentlemen, are you really sure that this is a good investment of the government's money?
Are you sure that Venediktov his team's work is a national achievement?
The question is rhetorical of course.
But this is not all.
Now before you lies an attraction of unseen impudence.
The fact is that Gazprom Media Holding is giving Ekho Moskvy another loan. Well they have to live somehow...
This by itself transcends the boundaries of logic and common sense, but I've got something even more cooler for you.
Venediktov
is against the loan
and he is voting in the board of directors against it's retrieval.
Does the Ekho Moskvy team really want to live affordably?
But no, this is impossible.
As my informed readers tell me, Mr. Venediktov has gone so far as
to ask Gazprom to invest in Ekho Moskvy's capital free of charge.
So he doesn't want to take out a loan for life, but is instead demanding that the money be gifted to him.
I don't know how comment on this, all I can say is that for some people,
the fairytale about the fisherman and the fish is a good moral lesson about the dangers of ambition.
But for others it serves as an inspiring instruction manual.
It's a shame, however, that currently the golden fish that Ekho Moskvy is shaking up for money is a state fish with the Gazprom logo stamped on its side.
If Ekho Moskvy was a normal commercial firm, the current management would be gone in a flash.
In the 2017 audit alone there is an entire page containing a table
in which the auditors list the administrative errors that the management has not corrected for literally years;
so from year to year, the very same thing repeats.
Several violations are so serious, that the auditors honestly write that Ekho Moskvy's financial results can only be computed in a very rough way.
The internal auditors write even more interesting things.
For example, they point out that the sale of advertising space in the Russian provinces is not done directly,
but through some kind of murky daughter company, and that until now no clear economic argumentation has been given for this outline.
Well, we understand that there is some clear argumentation
and that it is even economic, and, what is even more shocking, is that someone is earning money off of it.
And someone is also posting banner advertisements on the Ekho Moskvy site without any agreement and raking in dough from doing so.
The only thing that is surprising is why Ekho is continuing to receive money from Gazprom's Media Holding.
By the way, I think many will be interested to hear that roughly a million rubles of that Gazprom money is spent each year to pay Mr. Ganopolsky, in the Ukraine.
Who, in Kiev, is pouring shit on our country with your and our money.
I have another question to Gazprom.
Ganapolsky is also our national achievement?
The question is, once again, rhetorical.
One more thing.
I am against censorship.
The USSR used it too much and it ended badly.
However, I am in favor of the rules of the game being the same for everyone.
After all similar anti-Russian media outlets that receive government money and still demand freebies have been liquidated,
then we can say that "rule of law" is not just an empty phrase.

Efficiency is key to squeezing more features into mobile phones and peripherals - Duration: 5:10.Just over a decade ago – June 2007 to be exact...
...the mobile phone industry went through a dramatic transformation.
...with the birth of the first smartphone.
In less than 10 years,
...there has been a complete transformation
...and the mobile phone has essentially become
...our own personal electronic llifestyle hub.
If you look at the the simple numbers, the market is growing
- albeit at a slower rate than when the smartphone first came out -
However, there is a continual demand on innovation.
With new applications, new use cases, new eco-system demands
...this market continous to grow at a much faster rate
...then the amount of handsets actually produced.
You just have to look at the data demands users have in places like Korea.
You are constantly connected, for example through live streaming video,
...instant messaging and chatting.
Fortunately we have a very fast infrastructure here
- but demand is pushing for more and more data.
That's why developments like USB Type-C and 5G are very important.
We really see the mix of high-end feature phones and low-end phones.
Especially even the low-end phones...
...come packed with lots of features and functionality.
In China people really want to stay connected,
all the time.
That means the mobile phone needs to be recharged
...anywhere and anytime.
We have already seen significant growth in mobile power banks.
We still may be more attached to the wall in the US and Europe,
but when it comes to creating new applications
...and developing new technologies,
places like Silicon Valley and the emerging tech hubs in the US
...are extremely important in the entire ecosystem.
The concept of the mobile phone as our personal electronics hub
...has only accelerated with the increasing amount of peripherals...
...that the phone is connecting to.
Whether it's smartwatches or smartaudio...
... on a bigger scale whether it's your car or to your house.
These things are forcing...
...phone innovation to increase at a much faster rate.
With so many different wireless connections
delivering higher data rates,
...the risk for interference gradually grows.
That means we need to embed even more ESD protection
and EMI filtering...
in mobile phones and connected devices
to make sure you don't have any issues.
Efficiency is also vital
...because the mobile phone is powered by small batteries
and we want them to last forever.
That means we can recharge the mobile phone via wired or wireless charging.
So that requires the focus on the power efficiency and also the transfer.
With constantly evolving features and industry standards,
flexibility is absolutely key.
The ability for a manufacturer to make a quick change,
...to add new features and benefits
at the very last minute
differentiates them from their competition.
Nexperia's portfolio of logic and discretes allows them to do this..
...so they can make these last-minute chang es.
If it then gets incorporated into the IC that's great,
but we continually give them the opportunity to evolve their designs.
One of the biggest design challenges for mobile phones and peripherals is space.
We continue to develop smaller and thinner packages
to meet the available footprint constraints.
And by offering different functionality
in the same package footprint
...also gives designers flexibility in board layout.
Flexibility is very important.
Nexperia has in-house manufacturing capability
Today Nexperia can produce over 100 billion pieces per year.
So that really offers the flexibility
to adjust our product portfolio to meet industry demands.
As a long-time partner in the mobile phone industry,
Nexperia has a proven track-record of providing a portfolio
which has helped the rapid evolution of the smartphone and peripherals.
So,
Whether you trying to get more functionality into a smartphone
or make a smaller wireless earbud,
...Nexperia can help you do so efficiently.

The Socialist Who Just Won in New York Is Coming for Your Freedom. - Duration: 1:57.The Socialist Who Just Won in New York Is Coming for Your Freedom.
Rep. Joe Crowley, one of the highest ranking members of the Democrats in the House of Representatives
lost his primary election in a massive upset to 28-year-old community organizer Alexandria
Ocasio-Cortez.
Crowley had held his seat in Congress since 1999 and had deep Wall Street connections
that allowed him to outraise Ocasio-Cortez by a 10-to-1 margin.
Crowley was one of the Democrats' top fundraisers and was the likely successor to Nancy Pelosi.
"This is not an end, this is the beginning," said Ocasio-Cortez to her supporters after
her victory.
"This is the beginning because the message that we sent the world tonight is that it's
not OK to put donors before your community."
Again, Ocasio-Cortez's victory is yet another example of the establishment taking voters
for granted.
Remind anyone of Hillary Clinton's failures during the 2016 election?
Crowley was so confident in his victory that he did not even attend the primary debate,
which backfired and received backlash from the community where even the New York Times
called him out for the no-show.
Ocasio-Cortez, an activist and member of the Democratic Socialists of America, ran on a
platform even further left than Crowley with very blue policies, such as Medicare-for-all,
housing and jobs guarantees, gun control, ending private prisons, abolishing ICE, and
investing in Puerto Rico.
Watch her political ad that has gained a lot of buzz now that she has won the primary.
Michele Malkin went over Ocasio-Cortez's stances on particular issues on Fox News.

Kylie Jenner is planning Stormi's first birthday party - Duration: 2:53.Kylie Jenner is planning Stormi's first birthday party
Kylie Jenner is already planning her daughter's first birthday party.
The 20-year-old reality star only gave birth to her little girl Stormi, whom she has with her boyfriend Travis Scott, at the beginning of February but she has admitted she's already starting to think about how she can mark the tot's first milestone next year.
Taking to her Snapchat account on Wednesday (2706.
18), the brunette beauty said: ''Stormi is going to be five months this weekend - which is really tripping me out - which means we're almost half way to a year, almost.
''And I'm already thinking about her first birthday and how it's going to be epic.
The 'Keeping Up With the Kardashians' beauty was planning to do a ''super magical unicorn theme'' for her little girl, but she's been forced to scrap that idea because her nieces North, five, and Penelope, five, used that for their joint party earlier this month.
She explained: ''I was going to do super magical unicorn theme but North and Penelope beat me to it so I have to think of something else.
Although Kylie is excited to start the birthday preparations, it's highly unlikely that she'll share anything online about the little one when the time rolls around because she recently decided to take her off social media following a series of kidnap threats.
A source said recently: ''There have been an increasing number of trolls on social media calling Stormi ugly, and throwing out really horrible insults.
''It's been really upsetting for Kylie, because also some of the comments are direct threats to kidnap her.
Some people have commented saying it's all Kylie's fault because she has exposed her by putting her on social media.
''The haters have always been there, but just getting way, way worse these last few weeks - and calling out Kylie for being a bad mom.

Pete Davidson Is Supporting Ariana Grande's Career in the Sweetest Way - Duration: 1:57.Pete Davidson Is Supporting Ariana Grande's Career in the Sweetest Way
Ariana Grande's fiancé, Pete Davidson, just showed his love for her in the sweetest way possible.
In a photo that Ariana posted on her Instagram story, followers can see Pete sipping a Starbucks iced coffee wearing a long-sleeved black T-shirt with Ariana's face on the front.
In other words, he clearly has a stash of her merch that he likes to pull out from time to time to show his support, which is just about the cutest fashion choice ever.
On the image, Ariana wrote a series of comments that pepper his frame, like "perfect," "hello loml," "r u serious," and "omg!" A pretty typical reaction from the pair, who tends to show their love in joking and often boisterous ways on social media.
The tee is perfect for Pete Davidson, as the couple has really been leaning into their coordinated looks, rocking athleisure at its best, save for Ariana's birthday look when she pulled out a fully Louis Vuitton-branded mini skirt and matching cat ears.
Now our only question is: how many of Ariana's tees does Pete have in rotation? And will he be exclusively wearing his fiancé on his chest until the wedding day? We certainly hope so.
