After concerns were raised about the March for Racial Justice in D.C. taking place on Yom Kippur, a sister March for Racial Justice in New York City has decided to host their event the next day, on October 1.
Here are all the details. The sister March for Racial Justice in NYC will begin Sunday, October 1 at 12:30 p.m. Eastern until 4 p.m. Eastern. It will begin at Brooklyn Plaza at Jay Street, according to the event's Facebook page.
– Gather at Jay Street Plaza (Jay Street and High Street) in DUMBO, Brooklyn 1-3 p.m. – The pre-march rally will take place at this time. – The march will begin. According to the event's Facebook page:.

We march to resist the systemic racism that creates a gross imbalance of power in our city: out of control police brutality and "Broken Windows" policing; mass incarceration, the prison industrial complex, and the deplorable conditions at Rikers Island; rampant gentrification and terraforming of our neighborhoods; segregation of our schools, predatory corporate charter schools, and the school to prison pipeline; and anti-immigration policies that strike fear into the hearts of so much of the population – immigrants, Dreamers, refugees, and as is often the case, victims of human trafficking.".

Glory to You, Oh Lord.
May your Word be always on my heart, on my lips, and on my mind.
Jesus said to the chief priests and the elders of the people:
"Hear another parable.
There was a landowner who planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it, dug a wine press in
it, and built a tower.
Then he leased it to tenants and went on a journey.
When vintage time drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to obtain
his produce.
But the tenants seized the servants and one they beat,
another they killed, and a third they stoned.
Again he sent other servants, more numerous than the first ones,
but they treated them in the same way.
Finally, he sent his son to them, thinking, 'They will respect my son.'
But when the tenants saw the son, they said to one another,
'This is the heir.
Come, let us kill him and acquire his inheritance.'
They seized him, threw him out of the vineyard, and killed him.
What will the owner of the vineyard do to those tenants when he comes?"
They answered him, "He will put those wretched men to a wretched
death and lease his vineyard to other tenants
who will give him the produce at the proper times."
Jesus said to them, "Did you never read in the Scriptures:
The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone;
by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes?
Therefore, I say to you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from
you and given to a people that will produce its
fruit."
The tenants killed the son out of greed and selfishness.
We are all guilty of rejecting God at times.
What the tenants did to the son we all do.
We are all greedy and selfish.
God is patient with us.
We all need forgiveness.
He gives us lots of chances to respond.
Thank God that He forgives us.
He sends us many messengers.
Thank God that he forgives us.
