Knowledge Base: Customizing Self Service for macOS using Jamf Pro - Duration: 2:11.

Hey, this is CJ with Jamf Support, and today we'll walk through customizing Self Service

for macOS using Jamf Pro.

Jamf Pro 10 allows administrators to customize the Self Service application experience on

end user machines with custom branding and messaging.

First, log in to Jamf Pro.

Then, click the Settings gear in the top-right corner of the page, and then click "Computer

Management" in the Sidebar.

In the "Management Framework" section, click "Self Service," then, click "Edit."

On the "Configuration" tab, we can Enable Self Service login if we wish, and enable

Self Service notifications for our end users.

We can also configure the category that your users see first when launching Self Service

by choosing it from the dropdown here, under the "Library Main Page" setting.

If we're using Bookmarks, we can configure the display name of the bookmarks category

in Self Service here.

Finally, click the "Branding" tab.

Here you can upload a custom Branding Icon and Branding Header to customize Self Service

to fit your organization.

Please note the recommended image sizes listed here.

To upload a custom Icon or Banner, you can click here to browse your filesystem for the

image, or simply drag and drop your desired image onto the Icon or Banner sections.

Notice the preview will change once your images have been uploaded successfully.

The "Branding Icon" image you've uploaded will also replace the default Self Service

App Icon in the Dock and Finder.

Finally, we can choose to customize the Branding Name.

Here you can edit the Main and Secondary headers to fit your organization.

When we're all finished, click "Save."

Now we can see our Self Service customization changes in effect on machines in our environment.

You need to be beautiful and ethereal (that's the magic of the royals, after all), but also approachable, charming, and down-to-earth. You need to be aspirational, and relatable. It's an almost impossible double standard.

Yet, today, Kate showed how, despite her "commoner" origins, she's got this whole monarchy thing on lock. She may've rocked a priceless tiara a few months ago, but today, she was a clearly a princess of the people.

Drawing Repeating Patterns for Coloring Pages + QUESTIONS for You! || Inktober 2017 - Duration: 3:23.

Hi everyone!

So, today I'm drawing patterns that I will later turn into coloring pages, coloring envelopes

and possibly a coloring calendar.

And I need your help.

I have a few questions for you, if you're into coloring and/or stationery.

1) Do you prefer coloring pages to have black lines or grey lines?

2) Which one of these two envelope shapes do you prefer?

Ignore the patterns on the envelopes.3) Do you want a printable envelope to have a white

space for the address or do you use an address label sticker instead?

Or would you like to be able to edit the PDF file and type the address straight into the

envelope before printing it?

I think I can figure out how to make an editable PDF, but it might not work with both of the

envelope shapes I showed you.

So, let me know, if you have opinions on those things.

I'll post these questions in the comment section and you can answer there.

I'll probably also have them in a poll on Twitter and I'll also send them to people

who are on my mailing list.

So, you might see them in multiple places, but it's enough to answer them once.

Now onto drawing these patterns.

I drew some Christmas themed line pictures for coloring cards last year and I thought

I could turn some of those drawings into repeating patterns for envelopes and maybe a calendar

that you can print out and color and use.

Some of those pictures wouldn't work as a repeating pattern and if I do make a calendar,

all of the pictures can't be Christmas or winter themed anyway.

So, I needed to draw some more patterns.

I drew a Hamsa hand before and in this video I added some flowers and doodles around it.

I also drew nesting dolls, feathers and tropical leaves.

This time I inked the drawings straight on top of the sketches so there were a lot of

pencil lines to erase.

I usually transfer a clean version of the sketch onto another paper and ink that.

Small inking mistakes are ok, I cover them up with a correction pen and I can also erase

them, when I'm editing the scans of the drawings in GIMP.

The next part is to turn them into repeating patterns in GIMP and then use those for the

envelopes and calendar pictures.

I might make another video about that, but it's the same process I've shown in previous

videos so you can watch my videos on How to make a repeating pattern in GIMP and How to

make a coloring book page and envelope.

Searching for Dark Matter with IceCube - Duration: 4:10.

So dark matter is a new form of matter that we need to describe the

observations in our universe and an example where we see the need for dark

matter for example is with the rotation of velocities in galaxies or also from

imprints to the cosmic microwave radiation we see that we need dark matter.

So we know that dark matter exists, but we have very little knowledge of what it actually is

and what kind of particles it consists of.

So we know that dark matter is not very

strongly interacting because otherwise we would have observed it already. We know

also that dark matter is stable because dark matter was created at the beginning

of the universe and we know it is still around today so it has to be stable and

we also know that the velocity of dark matter cannot be very high so there has

to be much smaller than the speed of light.

IceCube can search for dark matter indirectly and means dark matter interacts

with each other and produces standard model particles and these standard model

particles then decay and also as a result of these decays we also expect to

get neutrinos. With IceCube we have searched at different places where we

expect dense dark matter accumulations. This could be at the center of the earth

or center of the sun or just in the galactic dark matter halo and we have looked for all

of these and so far we haven't found any signal of dark matter.

Dark matter signal coming from the sun consists of usually low energy neutrinos

but we know that they're always coming from the sun so we can just focus on

that region and look for neutrinos coming from there. Another example is dark

matter annihilation in the galactic center. So this type of signal consists

of higher energy neutrinos and most of the signal comes from the center of

our galaxy. So by analyzing the energy and the direction of these neutrinos we

can constraint these signals.

IceCube searches are at the forefront of dark matter

searches. We have some of the most stringent constraints on the properties

of dark matter with the IceCube detector and over the next years we

will continue to search for dark matter with IceCube.

In particular at IceCube we have the unexplained high-energy neutrino signal

and it's very well possible that also in these energetic neutrino events

there's also a Dark Matter signal hiding so we have to accumulate more data or

better build a larger detector to understand where the highest energy

neutrinos coming from and if for example they are coming from decaying dark matter

or other astrophysical sources.

Report: 49ers Get QB Garoppolo From Patriots For 2nd Rounder

The San Francisco 49ers have reportedly acquired their quarterback of the future by trading for New England backup Jimmy Garoppolo.

ESPN reported Monday that the Niners dealt a 2018 second-round pick to the Patriots for Garoppolo. San Francisco (0-8) had been expected to either draft a quarterback high in the first round next year or try to acquire a proven starter like Kirk Cousins in free agency.

Instead, they decided to strike early and put the fate of their franchise in the hands in a quarterback who has started just two games in four NFL seasons.

Both teams have declined to confirm the trade.

Garoppolo won those two starts in place of a suspended Tom Brady at the start of the 2016 season.

He completed 42 of 59 passes for 496 yards, four touchdowns and no interceptions. He got hurt in the second quarter of his second start and has thrown just four passes since then.

"Jimmy was a great teammate and a great friend and he always will be," Brady told Westwood One in his weekly spot during halftime of the Monday Night Football broadcast.

"I want nothing but the very best for him. He's earned the trust of his teammates and the respect of his teammates and that is all you can ask for as a player."

Garoppolo, a second-round pick in 2014, is in the final year of his contract. By acquiring him now, San Francisco gets a head start on negotiating a long-term deal to keep him or can use the franchise tag on him in free agency.

The Niners hope Garoppolo can be the quarterback to lead the franchise out of its recent cycle of losing that started when Jim Harbaugh was let go as coach following the 2014 season.

San Francisco won seven games the past two years with Colin Kaepernick and Blaine Gabbert sharing the quarterback duties.

The winless 49ers are off to the worst start in franchise history this season in coach Kyle Shanahan's first year at the helm.

Veteran Brian Hoyer, who also began his career as Brady's backup in New England, started the first six games and third-round rookie C.J. Beathard has struggled as the starter the past two weeks behind a patchwork line.

Beathard has completed just 52.7 percent of his passes in his limited time, averaging 5.9 yards per attempt with two touchdowns, three interceptions and a 65.2 passer rating.

He has been sacked 11 times on his 110 pass attempts and hit several others, with Niners' injury-riddled line giving him little time to succeed.

"I think it was tough for him to have a real good game. I think it would have been tough for anyone to," Shanahan said before the trade was announced. "I think there was stuff that he struggled with.

There's a few things he missed, especially early. … I have a lot of respect of how he battled in that game. He took a beating.

Like a lot of guys did. Didn't shy away from it. You can see it in the guys' eyes on the sideline when you talk to them, when you ask them what plays they want. I thought he got more aggressive as the game went, which some people would be the opposite."

Garoppolo is the second backup quarterback to be traded by the Patriots this season. They dealt Jacoby Brissett to Indianapolis last month for receiver Phillip Dorsett.

New England now has no backup on the roster for the 40-year-old Brady and no quarterback of the future for whenever Brady decides to retire.

Now the Patriots could try to bring back Hoyer. A person with knowledge of the 49ers' plans says the team has released him following the trade. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the move had not been announced.
