Bec Wilesmith - A21 Walk for Freedom - Newcastle - Duration: 1:42.Music: www.bensound.com
I'm here today in Newcastle doing the Walk
for Freedom because I'm just not ok with the fact that slavery still exists today, that
there are so many women, children and men around the world that are being exploited
and I just think this is a really easy way to shed light on this huge problem and to
just to bring awareness to it.
When I hear that there are more slaves today than ever before in history, we as people
and a generation have to think, what are we going to be ok with,
what are we going to stand up for, what are we just let happen and; I just think
this is such an important thing to be a part of.
To think that every thirty (30) seconds someone basically loses that livelihood, that dignity,
their sense of wellbeing because they become a slave and they become entrapped in that
life, I can't really fathom it's a statistic that you've got to come face to face with
that you've got to think about the one person, the one young woman, the one young man and
how that's affecting their life.
I think that every person has a role to play in abolishing slavery I mean, it seems like
such a big thing, but if all of us can get involved in something as simple as Walk for
Freedom and being apart of the movement that A21 has created I think we'll go a long way
to raising just not funds and donations but awareness and changing this issue at all levels
of government around the world and I think we all have a part to play in that.

Original Plans For Braun Strowman Vs. Brock Lesnar At No Mercy Revealed - Duration: 3:45.Original Plans For Braun Strowman Vs. Brock Lesnar At No Mercy Revealed
Braun Strowman vs Brock Lesnar is being built as one of the biggest rivalries the WWE has ever planned for the beast.
With The Monster Among Men being built as one of the few legitimate threats to The Beast, it's shaping up to be a big match.
Now, just a few weeks out from No Mercy, we've learned what the original plans were for this showdown.
Braun Strowman is being framed as the most legitimate threat to Brock Lesnar's Universal Championship since The Beast beat Goldberg for the belt at WrestleMania 33.
At SummerSlam Strowman's actions sent Lesnar from the arena on a stretcher, then the following night on Raw Braun delivered a couple more of his patented power slams for good measure.
This week on Raw, the story between the two was developed even further. Lesnar and his advocate Paul Heyman called Strowman to the ring for a fight, and that's exactly what they got.
The Monster Among Men accepted the offer and once again left Lesnar laying. The lasting image was Braun holding the Universal Championship high over his head with his foot planted firmly on a floored Lesnar's chest.
Their encounter on Raw this week had a real go-home show feel about it, and there's a reason for that.
According to Wrestling Inc, The Beast Incarnate will not be present for the actual go-home show to No Mercy which takes place this coming Monday in San Jose, California.
That's why Brock was monster handled this past Monday in what will be the final time the two men meet before their championship match at No Mercy.
Paul Heyman made sure to mention that for the first time since Brock battled The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, his client is the underdog.
Despite that, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer stated that the original plan for the match is for Lesnar to retain his title at No Mercy.
Now that may still be the case, and considering Strowman's temperament, a title retention for Lesnar doesn't necessarily mean a clean win for The Beast.
It's incredible to think how far Braun Strowman has come since the draft in 2016 when he was separated from the rest of the Wyatt Family.
Not many would have predicted that he would be a fan favorite heading into a Universal Championship match with Brock Lesnar less than 18 months later.
Strowman is a WWE made creation that wasn't an indy darling, so to have the support he has from the fans is extremely impressive. This one will be a WrestleMania caliber match and one that should not be missed.

Unlocking the Potential of Biometric Identification for Health - Duration: 6:26.A unique identifier is very, very important.
But that is challenging in our country.
Particularly in a country like Bangladesh, where birth registration is only about 20 percent.
I'm Dr. Anisur Rahman.
I'm a public health practitioner and have been working in
the International Centre for Diarrhoeal Disease Research
for almost 27 years.
So, we meet today Nusrat.
She is 6 weeks old.
And today, she's here for her first oral polio vaccine.
Over the next few months, Nusrat will return to receive her second and third dose.
Over her lifetime, she will come to this clinic many times for other vaccines and health services needed.
Being able to identify her, and refer to her vaccination and medical history,
is critical to providing her with the best possible care.
Without a proper form of identification, this would be very difficult to do.
Global Good is a collaboration between Bill Gates and Intellectual Ventures
to develop and adapt catalytic inventions
that can enable low-resource communities to access good healthcare.
I'm David Bell. I direct the Global Health Technologies group here at Global Good.
Linking data to a patient's identity, from birth through adulthood, is vital to good healthcare.
Biometric screening is a way of using a person's physical or biological characteristics to identify them accurately.
For instance: a fingerprint, or a handprint, or an iris scan.
Each human has a unique biometric print.
This is, in many ways, the most accurate way of identifying people that we have.
Biometric screening is widely accepted and used in financial services for protecting personal documents.
In the health sector, it's been relatively neglected.
The problem is particularly acute in identifying infants.
So, how do you capture an infant's biometric signature when the features are very small, they're changing over time
and the child doesn't sit still and you have to be very quick in capturing it?
This is a problem which we brought to Element.
Element has built a mobile platform for biometric identity,
and our goal is to deliver identity to the billions who need it.
There's almost no more frictionless way to do that than through the smartphones that now proliferate the world.
Hi, I'm Adam Perold. I'm the CEO and co-founder of Element.
The idea that Element is built around is the idea of taking pictures
of your hand or your face to identify yourself.
I'm Yann LeCun. I'm a professor at NYU
I'm Director of AI Research at Facebook, and I'm a co-founder of Element.
Element was built from the bottom up with these deep learning methods
to work for anyone, regardless of their features, in areas of low connectivity.
That goes down to the algorithms themselves, which are robust to all the differences in human form,
to the ability of the models to run on any device, local, without connectivity.
Deep learning is based on the idea that you train a machine instead of programming it.
You train it to recognize one person from another
from, say, the palm of the hand, or in the case of an infant, a picture of the feet of the infant.
This is not possible with other technologies, where every technology is really
built specifically for a particular kind of signal, say, fingerprints or faces.
Here, it's the same technology that we can apply to anything.
With our partners in Cambodia and Bangladesh,
We're following 8,000 infants over time to determine what biometric is most suitable for use in infants.
Our goal is to build a novel platform for infant identification
One that is non-touch, works without wireless connectivity, and runs on any mobile device.
At Angkor Hospital for Children,
Parents and their children travel many hours and kilometers to receive care.
My name is Manila Prak.
I'm the director of the Global Child Health Program at Angkor Hospital for Children.
As we move from paper systems,
to electronic and mobile record keeping,
biometrics are a key part of our effort to change the way we take and track medical records
for our children.
Working with biometrics actually gives us a chance to be at the cutting edge of medical technology.
My name's Claudia Turner. I'm the CEO of Angkor Hospital for Children.
The interface between technology development and end user is just vitally important,
and that's why a partnership between Element and Global Good is just very important for us.
Biometrics are clearly connecting the community with the health system broadly.
But it should work with different hardware.
It should work with different context — everywhere.
Working with Global Good and Element is really exciting for us
because this is a new area of research
we can use in different settings
to improve the health of the children.

He picked my Halloween Costume for me!! // Making every day an Adventure // Home Vlogs Episode 2 - Duration: 3:27.- Oh boy.
Oh boy.
(adventure music)
Welcome back to the Home Experiment Vlog, day two,
and good news.
Today is Halloween.
Bad news, I have no costume.
I have failed to prepare,
just like I do every year.
So I've decided to apply one of
my favorite adventure rules to today,
which is go with the flow.
One of the best things you can do when you're traveling
is say yes to random things.
Say yes to adventures you weren't gonna go on.
See what happens, and how no plan,
and just be open to anything because then you know,
there's no such thing as disappointment,
because if you have no expectation,
that can never happen.
So we're gonna apply that rule today.
Ross actually had time to go to the store yesterday,
I did not.
He basically has picked out a costume for me.
I have absolutely no idea what it is.
There's a good chance it's just a
slutty fill-in-the-blank, but who knows.
I'm just gonna go with it.
- Hi.
- [Linda] Hello again Ben.
- Hi, I'm back.
- [Linda] Ben is back.
- Allowed.
- Made it out.
- [Ben] Linda, you're gonna need drinks
(mumbles) way around your costume.
(laughing)
- Ahhhhh!
I'm so curious.
My sister was like I wanna know what it is.
I wanna know.
- [Ben] I know what it is.
- [Ross] You need to find out.
(laughing)
- I'm still very curious, and scared.
- [Ben] I think you should probably see your costume,
and then make the decision.
- Well listen, the whole,
the whole idea is--
- [Ben] For reals.
- The whole idea is right?
It's all about...
- [Ross] Fun.
- Well fun sure.
Fun Ross.
- [Ross] Yaaayy!
- Oh boy.
Oh boy, you ruined it already.
We have a red tie.
(laughs)
I'm gonna be SpongeBob.
(laughter)
Ah man, what?
- Oooh, (mumbles).
- SpongeBob SquarePants.
- I got you white socks.
- [Ben] Yeah, no you didn't.
- Halloween on a budget.
(laughter)
- I'm gonna be slutty SpongeBob.
- [Ross] Yeah you are.
Yeah, you are!
(laughter)
- [Ben] Slutty SpongeBob.
(laughter)
- And I thought it might be slutty something.
I did not think it would be slutty SpongeBob.
(jazzy music)
I had this wig and it's Halloween so,
we're gonna go with it.
Bring it around.
(laughs)
(jazz music)
So there you go.
Good things come when you just go with the flow.
Oh that rhymes.
If you're new here, welcome.
And make sure you hit that subscribe button
to join us in making every day an adventure.
Also, share your stories with us,
of how you've incorporated adventure
into your every day,
and become adventurer of the week
in my upcoming videos.
Until next time, be good to one another,
and keep adventuring.

Seahawks' Duane Brown trade is an early Thanksgiving for Russell Wilson - Duration: 5:31.Seahawks' Duane Brown trade is an early Thanksgiving for Russell Wilson
One of Duane Brown's new offensive line-mates in Seattle beat his fellow Seahawks in welcoming the 32-year-old to town Monday night, for understandable reasons.
Russell Wilson did not react on social media as quickly as Justin Britt did.
But the Seahawks quarterback might be picking up Brown at the airport. Who could blame Wilson if he did? Brown might be checking Wilson's blind-side, anchoring that line and clearing the path to the Super Bowl for them all.
The crazy coincidences of Brown's trade from Houston to Seattle shouldnt be understated. More on that later, though … because more important and more immediately, the effect of this deal on Wilson cannot be overstated.
Is saying this could save the franchise quarterback's life too extreme?
Well, an NFL player (the Bears' Zach Miller) just underwent surgery to save his leg after a gruesome injury, and if you were wondering when time, luck and the chronic health hazard that is the Seahawks' line were going to create a worst-case scenario for Wilson, you werent alone.
So, yes, hyperbole, but not much.
The Seahawks must have thought the same thing. They did not get Brown cheap, even though Brown could not have been much less welcome with the Texans' brass at this point.
There may have been whispers about Brown getting too old, beaten up, underserving of the money he wanted, and apparently the enemy of their antebellum owner — which may have been more of the typical response to contract holdouts and to pro athletes asserting themselves than a statement about his ability.
But to the Seahawks, Brown was worth two draft picks and starting cornerback Jeremy Lane.
And the Seahawks were still in the Super Bowl conversation with a patch-job at left tackle, without George Fant since the preseason and with Rees Odhiambo getting banged up and banged around.
Yes, the Seahawks became better Monday night just by adding Duane Brown on paper, before his flight even landed and before he took his physical.
Wilson is better off. The running-back-by-hastily-assembled-committee is better off. It'll be a domino effect. The Seahawks were the contender that needed him most. Wilson was the elite quarterback who had to have him, or else.
What Wilson did Sunday in the gunsling-a-thon with Deshaun Watson is what he's capable of doing under less-than-ideal conditions.
With much more ideal conditions, he shouldnt have to do that for the Seahawks to win, for the offense to move, for the defense to get the pressure taken off of it, for the NFC (including the upstart Rams they're battling in the West) to look over its shoulder the rest of the way.
As for those aforementioned crazy coincidences … Brown's first game back from his contract holdout was, of course, Sunday in Seattle, with Watson and against Wilson's Seahawks.
It's also where Brown and most of his teammates kneeled before the game, after Texans owner Bob McNair had gone scorched-earth with his comments about protesting players — and after Brown had stepped forward as the locker-room leader despite his own uncertain future in Houston.
Before Brown raised his voice about McNair, even before the lineman reported to the team at the end of his holdout, the Texans were prepared to move on without him.
Even after trading up in the first round for Watson, expecting to groom him for a little while, then accelerating the schedule at halftime of the season opener, Watson's fate was for someone else to be his left tackle moving forward.
Wilson's fate this season, though, appeared to be to run until his legs fell off, throw until his arm flew off, or to be squashed on the CenturyLink Field turf like a bug on a windshield.
The chances of that happening now are decreased.
Brown is in a better place, and Wilson is, too.

Mix Feedback - there's an app for that! - Duration: 5:21.we're getting a lot of mastering - "master feedback" is the service called
through the website and when people book it they get a PDF where they can read all
the details the email address they need to send us the files it's basically the
whole instruction yeah funny enough the information is
spreading over so many channels so some people have talked to me before on
Facebook DM on whatsapp lately I've been giving out my phone number to everybody
so there's like 20,000 people who have my phone number which is great I love
people calling me and I do have a lot of phone conversations we sometimes sit
here and it's like oh okay what was the most recent update where are the files
no files and then I'm oh I think on whatsapp he said that he sent the files
to sales@mixedbymarcmozart.com and then nick is like we've never used this
address I don't even know it exists yeah so basically we're sitting here for an
hour and updating all the projects yeah so now these two musicians from Ukraine
have started developing an app web interface and app it's called pibox
PIBOX.com is the website and there's an app for Android and iOS called pibox
P - I - B - O - X - DOT - COM so they contacted me a few weeks ago and and they explained to
me what they were doing and they said there are also musicians and they pretty
much had the same issue that we just talked about and they said we've
developed this... what do you think? do you see a need in your world for this? and I
said absolutely we're struggling with every day it's so funny so
we gave a bit of feedback back and forth we teamed up with the guys or in other
words we are helping them now on two fronts one thing is, we really want to get
pie box into the hand of a lot of musicians and you can just go as I said
pibox.com - you can get a free trial account and
just get started register through the websites register
through the app so for the next couple weeks we want to get this into a
lot of hands we will try this for our own projects we're telling the clients
look let's try this app and when you give me feedback you can still call me
this is fine but let's make sure we communicate through this platform just
to see are there features missing you can see your recent song or file - they show
you the waveform in the app which looks like SoundCloud a little bit so you can
say snare you can mark the snare and attach a comment and say the snare hit is
too loud or the bass and I completely see this for a full band you
know the bass player says verse 1 the bass drops in level can you bring it up
a little bit or on this word put a throw delay yeah it's a great application
because you know people used to give us at 2:41 put a delay on the word
such-and-such and then you we need to find out where the second verse if you
can comment in the wave form pretty much it makes it so much easier so I mean I
totally see this could be working so first step is we will try to get a lot
of feedback from a lot of people so try it and let me know what you think and
then of course we want to help them with marketing as well that's why we're
talking about this today to get a lot of people on this platform I haven't heard
of any other app that's doing a similar thing we would use the web interface on
our computer to upload the mix for the client exactly and then you know
wherever everybody is everybody has a smartphone Android iOS people get the
updated version and they can comment on it that's pretty much the system and I
would love you guys to check it out use it from your computer www.pibox.com
and it's also in the iOS and Android app store same name P - I - B - O X is
the app try it out we're trying we're currently trying it for our own master
feedback & mix services this is interesting I think there's a real
demand for the market great product and let's collect
some feedback from the internal team and from you guys out there
