Handicapping the race for the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NFL draft - Duration: 8:31.

Handicapping the race for the No. 1 pick in the 2018 NFL draft

Due respect to what the Eagles, Patriots and Vikings are doing at the top of the NFL standings, but lets take a look at the bottom, where a race for the ages may well be brewing.

Its too soon to say for sure which of the well-regarded college quarterbacks will go No. 1 in the draft next April, or whether itll be a quarterback at all. But its not too early to size up certain teams chances of being able to make that pick.

The Cleveland Browns and the San Francisco 49ers, who bumbled their way through this very same race until Christmas last season, appear set for a repeat.

Whoever wins first could seriously damage their chances of landing the drafts top pick. At this point, its hard to see how either of them is close.

Entering Sundays action, the 0-7 Browns had the edge on the 0-7 49ers for the top pick.

According to the projections done by ESPNs Football Power Index, Cleveland entered its early London game with a 57.4 percent chance to land the top pick and a stunning 99.4 percent chance of picking in the top five.

A loss to the Vikings dropped the Browns to 0-8, which obviously couldnt have hurt their chances.

But San Francisco, which carried a 36.3 percent chance at the top pick and a 98.4 percent chance of a top-five selection into Sunday, kept the pressure on by getting blown out in Philadelphia.

Closest behind the two winless teams in this race were the Indianapolis Colts (5.1 percent chance at top pick, 92.1 percent chance of picking top five) and the New York Jets (0.1, 49.3).

Both of those teams lost close ones, which means that while their chances pale in comparison to those of the Browns and Niners, they sit in the wings in case both of those teams start up totally unexpected winning streaks. Hey, you never know.

So heres a quick look at each of those four early-Sunday losers and their chances of landing in the No. 1 spot when the commissioner starts the draft next spring in Arlington, Texas:

Cleveland Browns (0-8)

Clearly, this is the team best built for this pursuit. The only teams that have scored fewer points are the Dolphins, Giants and Broncos, who have played just seven, seven and six games, respectively.

The Browns lost their best player and the heart of their franchise, left tackle Joe Thomas, for the season to injury last week. Every other week, they lose a close game.

(Seriously, they lost by exactly three points in Weeks 1, 3, 5 and 7.) But their other four games have been 18-point losses on average.

The only teams theyve played that currently have winning records are the Steelers, Titans and Vikings (though the Texans could join that list with a win Sunday in Seattle), and thats important to remember because the tiebreaker for draft order is strength of schedule.

Look at the remainder of Clevelands games and tell me which one you like them to win. At the Chargers? Well, that was their only win last season. Home to Brett Hundleys Packers?

Home to the offensively challenged Ravens or at the offensively challenged Bears? All maybes, but theyve already lost to the Ravens once (24-10!) and the Bears are 2-0 so far against the AFC North.

Last season proved the odds are that the Browns win one at some point, but there are no guarantees and they dont seem to be close.

San Francisco 49ers (0-8)

As of a couple of weeks ago, the Niners did seem close. From Week 2 to 6, the Niners lost all five of their games by a combined total of 13 points.

But theyve been outscored 73-20 in their past two and seem committed to letting rookie quarterback C.J. Beathard take his lumps (a little bit like the Browns have decided to do with DeShone Kizer).

But the Niners next two games are at home against the 3-4 Cardinals, who beat them by just three points in Week 4 with Carson Palmer and are now rolling with Drew Stanton, and the 1-6 Giants, who are missing half of their offense.

Its not insane to imagine the 49ers getting it together enough to pick up at least one win there, though theyre having their own issues with tackle injuries and, again, the results from the past couple of weeks indicate they might be going the wrong way.

Indianapolis Colts (2-6)

Their only two wins are against the Browns and the Niners, but remember: Thats not the tiebreaker.

If the Colts keep losing and each of those other teams manages to pick up a couple of wins, they still could come up with the No. 1 pick based on schedule strength.

Indy plays in the watered-down AFC South, which means in theory they have a better chance to pick up a win than teams that play in the AFC North or NFC West.

But they havent seen Deshaun Watson yet, their out-of-division schedule still features the Steelers at home and the Bills in Buffalo and, again -- I cant stress this enough -- their only two wins are against Cleveland and San Francisco, who as we have discussed have not won any games at all.

Their six losses have been by an average of 18 points. In any other season, theyd be a favorite for the top spot.

New York Jets (3-5)

The Jets are only on this list now because they were the preseason favorite for that top pick. Given the bleak outlook of the teams ahead of them on this list, its probably not realistic for the Jets to hope for the pick. Their 3-2 start likely took care of that.

They have lost three in a row since, each by a touchdown or less, and are clearly a tougher team than we thought theyd be.

But theyre also obviously not a very good one, and their remaining schedule is a monster. Their home games are against the Bills, Panthers, Chiefs and Chargers, and their road games are at Tampa Bay, Denver, New Orleans and New England. Not saying theyll lose out, but is it crazy to imagine?

What is the best PRO-MIX product to use for vegetables? - Duration: 0:53.

Vegetables grown in the greenhouse should ideally be growing in one of our

general-purpose growing media.

Vegetables being produced either as transplants

or to be transplanted from a tray to go out into a field environment

or they can be grown in cell packs or 4'' pots.

With any one of these formats the ideal

product used to be our PRO-MIX BX MYCORRHIZAE.

Mycorrhizae will be able

to help enhance nutrient and water uptake, to increase yield of vegetables once

around in the soil environment. You can also use PRO-MIX LP 15 and in some cases

or larger pots you could use a bark based mix but PRO-MIX BX is

the number one product I would recommend.

Open for Business - Duration: 2:20.

I was a little bit mischievous growing up.

Sometimes I would skip school and go play by the river.

I thought it was fun until I failed first grade.

And then all of my friends continued to second grade.

That's when my mom sat me down and told me

'I can't build your future for you, but I can give you opportunity.'

I realized I was wasting the opportunity she had given, so I started working harder.

I still thought I had limited opportunities.

One day, a woman came to our village and taught us how to set up our own businesses.

And then, I got an idea.

But I didn't have the money to start my own business.

After that, we set up a women's group.

And then she gave us seed money to start our own businesses.

That's all I needed.

The women in our village would walk for two hours uphill to get supplies from the local farmers market.

On the first day, I sold around 50 percent of my products.

I was happy and I was inspired to do more business.

Now, I tell my daughter

Don't waste time and opportunities.

Who knows what you will be able to achieve in the future.

USAID empowers women In marginalized communities of Nepal by teaching them how to save money and start small businesses.

Senior Theatre Experience: Ep. 6 "Advice for Students" - Duration: 3:04.

The SUNY Oneonta Theatre Department Presents

Interviews with Graduating Seniors

Episode 6: Advice for Students

my advice for any incoming students would be to get involved I would say

definitely get involved don't waste time audition apply for practicum just get

involved right away from had to get involved in some way either by joining

the club and volunteering for the production's or take a class a semester

as an incoming freshman I highly recommend that you get involved in the

mask and hammer theater club join mask and Hammer

it's our theater club here and you find out all the information about when

auditions are what shows are going up what backstage opportunities you have

and so you can make the decision of where you want to go based on that and

you're given all the information plus we play games and it's really fun

definitely to just get involved get involved in clubs on campus clubs that

you think would be fun to join that you're going to meet friends and who

knows what they're going to connect you in to you I would recommend always

audition for a play and a few acting may not be your thing definitely apply to be

you know an assistant stage manager or run run crew or volunteer to help out

with costuming just the people that you're going to meet are what's going to

make your college experience great keeping an open mind I think would be my

advice that I would give students because there's so many ways to get

involved in this department that aren't necessarily the things that you would

think of yourself as doing but a lot of the times those are the things that you

like the most so I would definitely say to incoming students try everything

because you never know where you're gonna end up liking my advice to

incoming students would be to meet with your advisor and find out what classes

you need when so you can take advantage of all the opportunities here just use

them they're there to help you attain your goals if I had give advice to

incoming freshmen or transfers I would say that everything that you do

put your heart and soul into it because I realized that when I put my heart and

soul into something I gained more out of it than just showing up doing it not

really caring about being there I'm following your passions is definitely my

one main advice because I didn't do that I wouldn't be as happy and as I feel

more experienced and challenged than I am right now if I had to say anything to

an incoming student I would say don't say you can't I didn't think that I'd be

able to hang lights or do lighting design coming in I didn't think I'd be

able to stage manage but I threw myself in there and I did so many things that I

didn't even know I was good at so don't hinder yourself do it all

Thanks for watching!

5th Graders: Get ready for the T-2-4 Career Fair! - Duration: 3:08.

Hello 5th grader!

Or should I say, future pediatrician. Or engineer. Or firefighter.

Or state representative. It may feel too early to think about the world of work.

The world of work. But daydreaming about a career can give you great ideas, about

what you might want to do later in life. And you can change those dreams into

reality, by setting short-term goals now that one day will get you to your

ultimate goal. That's what T24 is all about.

Thinking and planning now for life after high school.

For life after high school.

Of course, you might have no idea what path is right for you.

That's OK too. Your school counselor has just the thing to get some

ideas flowing. All SPS fifth graders will be visiting a career fair in November

This video will tell you what to expect on this field trip and what's expected

of you. You and your classmates will take a bus to the spoke and Convention Center

downtown. It'll be crowded and loud and you'll be joining about 800 other fifth graders.

Don't stress. After getting off the bus and going up the

escalators, there will be a sign with your school's name where you will line up.

There will also be a lot of school counselors there to help.

You'll get a bag with some cool stuff in it including a pencil and a graphic organizer for

taking notes. There will be dozens of professionals just waiting to talk to

you about their work. After about 40 minutes there will be an announcement to

line up with your class at the back of the room to board your bus.

Follow the rules you normally would do at school. We're interacting with professionals, after all.

Keep your name tag on. Ask lots of questions.

Things like, what kind of education did you need for this work? Do you work outdoors?

Is this a job that depends on co-workers, or can I do it myself? Write down the answers on

your graphic organizer so you can write about a career when you get back to school.

If somebody else is asking questions you can listen closely so you

don't ask the same thing. Be polite! Say, "thank you for donating

your time to talk to me." Some presenters might have a little giveaway for kids.

But make sure you interact with the person instead of just whizzing by for more stuff.

Remember, you're there to collect knowledge not knickknacks.

Did we mention, stay with your grown-up? Or stay with your buddy. Very important.

When you get back to school you'll get an exit ticket from your teacher.

You'll write about a job that you learned about the career fair. It might be a job that

you'd like to do, but it might not use your notes from your graphic organizer

and write what you learned about a specific job or career.

Be sure to find out enough about a job that you can write a full paragraph with supporting evidence.

Do your best work. You can win a prize!

There's just one more thing. One more thing. Be ready to have some fun!

It's an exciting adventure to think about the future.

We're lucky to have so many community members

Willing to help you toward your dream.

Roger Federer makes revelation about Rafael Nadal which is HUGE for rest of season - Duration: 2:26.

Roger Federer makes revelation about Rafael Nadal which is HUGE for rest of season

Federer, 36, has withdrawn from the Paris Masters this week despite winning the Swiss Indoors in Basel on Sunday.

Pulling out means Federer has all but handed Nadal the world no.1 spot on a plate with just one big event left - the ATP World Tour Finals in London.

And it may be just mind-games but Federer says hes too far behind and that top spot belongs to the Spaniard.   Speaking ahead of the Swiss Indoors final, which he won, said: Im too far behind really in the points.

If I thought about it maybe I wouldnt even enjoy the end of the season because the whole season would feel a waste.   The whole great season I played would feel its a bad one.

Im sorry to say its not a priority for me. People like to talk about it and make it a big deal about it.

I would loved to have made a big deal about it after Cincinatti, Montreal or the US Open but I couldnt do it there.   My back didnt ever allow me to get into the race for the world no.1.

Its been a wonderful year throughout and the goal here is to play a good World Tour Finals.   Federer beat Juan Martin del Potro 6-7 6-4 6-3 on SUnday to lift his record eighth Swiss Indoors title.

Victory ensured he moved to within 1,460 points of Nadal in the ATP rankings. But having opted to miss out on the 1000 points available in Paris Nadal looks set to finish the year in top spot.
