Continue our short and sweet Yoga for back pain series

We'll roll out your mat and get ready to practice with me

All right. We'll roll out your mat and begin kneeling

So come into a comfortable kneeling position on your mat

and if your knees are tight or sensitive you can always sit on a block or a cushion or

Bring a blanket underneath your ankles if your feet are tight

So make yourself comfortable in this position as best you can and if kneeling just really doesn't work for you

You can just come into a comfortable seat

For our practice today. We are going to begin in Child's Pose. So I'm going to come all the way forward

Extending your arms out in front of you let your head relax down towards the floor and

Start to feel that gentle stretch into your shoulders as you extend your arms forward

Now there's a couple of different ways you can approach your Child's Pose

If you bring your knees a little wider apart

And you can sink a little deeper into your hips

If you bring your knees a little closer together

You fold forward over your legs allowing for a little more stretch along the length of your spine

So you can adjust your pose

Needed to find the most comfortable position for you that feels the most supportive for your body

Where you are today?

Then take a nice deep full breath in expanding your lungs

Expanding your heart breathing in deep

then exhale and gently release let it go releasing any tension through your spine or your neck or your

shoulders

Just allow your body to soften

Then slide your hands in towards your knees I'm gonna just place your hands flat down and from here

We're gonna slowly

Roll your spine all the way up. So your head is going to be last

Start by anchoring through your pelvis

Round your spine

and slowly

Unroll your vertebra

One at a time

and

Feel that gentle movement as you stack each

vertebrae one on top of the other

like spools of thread

stacking

And your head will be the last thing to come all the way up to the top feeling a nice long

lifted spine here

Reach your right fingertips to the right and sweep your left arm up and over

lean your hips over to the left giving you a little counter stretch here and

Extend energy out your left fingertips. So your arm is very actively reaching

over to the right side we stretch

Then inhale and rise

Coming all the way back up, then. We'll take this over to the left

Sweep your right arm up and over as you reach your left hand down into the earth

Glide your hips over to the right giving you that counter stretch

Feeling a full open along the length of your waist

Stretching the spaces between your ribs

Extend through your arm and your fingertips

So you take this stretch all the way through your shoulder so feeling that full opening along the side of your body

Let's inhale and come all the way

Then interlace your hands at the base of your spine

Squeezing your palms tightly together. We're gonna stretch your fists back behind you

Roll your shoulders onto your back

lift through the sides of your waist

Curling your heart towards the sky. You can lift your gaze and open through the front of your throat

for an even deeper stretch

Reach your hands away from your body

Stretching your arms back behind you

Then we'll slowly release

Stacking your vertebrae one on top of the other and gently release your hands down into your lap

Just like that just a few moments a few short exercises can help improve your posture

Reduce your pain and help increase the mobility in your spine

FAFSA® Form and FSA ID Tips for Parents - Duration: 2:51.

Your child is filling out the FAFSA form,

and needs your information.

What can you expect?

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid—or FAFSA form—is the student's.

But your information as the parent may be required.

Before you start, you will need an FSA ID.

The FSA ID is a username and password.

If you don't already have an FSA ID, go to StudentAid.gov/fsaid to make one.

Make your own FSA ID and do not share it with your child or anyone else.

Be sure to include an email address or mobile phone number you will have access

to in the future in case you lock your account or forget your password.

Your child needs his or her own FSA ID.

Do not create or use your child's FSA ID.

Doing so can cause problems with your child's application.

Now you're ready to work on the FAFSA form.

Go to fafsa.gov and select the START HERE button.

Make sure your web browser allows pop-up windows from fafsa.ed.gov.

If you are starting the application, select the "I am a parent..." option.

and provide the requested information.

Next, create a save key.

The save key is a temporary password that lets you

1) save the application if you need to come back later and

2) share the application with your child if you aren't completing

the form together.

Unlike the FSA ID, the save key is meant to be shared between you and your child.

If your child starts the FAFSA form, you will pick up where you child left off:

Log in with the student's identifiers and use the save key your child created.

Help is available for every FAFSA question.

You may be able to use your FSA ID to import your tax information directly into

your child's FAFSA form using the IRS Data Retrieval Tool.

Once you and your child have entered all the required information,

you will both need to sign.

Follow the directions on the "Sign & Submit" page.

Be sure to sign in the parent's signature section.

Once both of you have signed, be sure to submit the FAFSA form.

Your child's FAFSA form is not submitted until you see the confirmation page.

Congratulations! Your child's FAFSA form is submitted.

The schools listed will use the FAFSA information and other information

to determine what aid your child may be eligible to receive.

You can always check the status of an application by logging in at fafsa.gov.

Students have to submit a FAFSA form every year, so keep track of your FSA ID.

How to Shorten a Lift Cord for Your Blind or Shade - Duration: 1:54.

Are the lift cords on your blinds or shades too long?

We'll show you how to shorten them to help match the length of cords in the rest of your room

This will also keep your windows looking more neat

and keep cords out of reach of small children and pets.

Just be aware that any mistakes made while shortening your own cords may void warranties.

That being said, we'll guide you along the way so let's get started.

First, lower your blinds all the way to the window sill or to their lowest length.

Never cut cords when blinds are raised as this will ruin your blinds.

Next, determine where you'd like your cord height to be.

Go about 2 inches lower than your desired height and mark with a piece of tape.

If your window treatment has multiple cords, put the tape around all of them.

If your cord is made of smaller cords that join to form a larger cord,

you will only be able to shorten the larger cord.

Do not cut the smaller cords.

If you'd like your cord lengths to match in the entire room, measure from the headrail

to the tape and mark on the other window treatments in the room.

As they say, measure twice, cut once.

After you've double checked your measurements and made sure that your blinds or shades

are fully lowered, cut your lift cords below the tape.

Be sure that you are only cutting the lift cords and not any braided ladder cords.

Remove any tassels from the cord you cut off.

Be sure not to let any remaining cords slip through the blinds during this step.

Remove the tape and thread the shortened cords through the tassel or tassels and tie a knot to secure.

Be sure that all knots and tassels are even.

If your cords are still longer than you'd like, you can wrap them around a cord cleat

to keep them neat and out of reach.
