Waching daily Feb 19 2019

Chelsea are taking on Manchester United in the FA Cup on Monday evening as both sides look to progress to the quarter-finals

One man that wasn't able to make the game was Maurizio Sarri's assistant boss Gianfranco Zola

Zola rejoined the club as a coach at the start of the season after playing for the Blues from 1996 and 23 - but missed today's game due to an illness

BBC commentator Steve Wilson was able to shed some light on his absence during the first-half

He said: "Maurizio Sarri watching on. No Zola down there tonight. "Gianfranco Zola is unwell

He's watching from home. "He's got the lurgy that just about everybody seems to have

" Chelsea boss Sarri has been under intense pressure in recent weeks after a 6- demolishing at the hands of Manchester City on February 1

Zola scored 9 and assisted 42 goals in 229 Premier League appearances for the west London side - becoming a hero to the supporters

The Italian recently hit back at fans and pundits that have doubted Chelsea, and pleaded with fans to get behind Sarri

He said: "We are trying to adapt to the league – we are adapting but we don't change what we believe is good for this club because otherwise we are nothing

"How do people know we are not making changes? "We are adjusting things. You have to understand that this is the Premier League

"We adjust without changing where we want to go. "The direction is always the same

" Chelsea face Malmo in the second leg of their Europa League last 32 clash on Thursday before the Blues meet City again in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley on Sunday

This Kate Spade Bag From the Nordstrom Winter Sale Is Our New Forever Bag - US News - Duration: 6:56.

Who's looking for a new bag? Whoa, okay, that's a lot of raised hands. But that's what we like to see! Not all bags last forever, and that's not only due to construction and durability

Some bags go out of style, and sometimes even we grow out of our bags. It's a sad yet common truth

That's why we set out on the hunt for a bag that not only would physically withstand years of wear and tear, but withstand changing trends and personal styles too!  Our search led us to the Kate Spade Jackson Street Hayden Leather Satchel

In this case, the destination was far greater than the journey, but that made the journey that much more worth it

We couldn't believe it was not only finally at the tips of our fingers, but on sale, too!    This bag is going to endure the test of time without question

We'll explain why, but we want to relay what shoppers are saying first! One called their satchel "beautiful," loving how the inside lining makes it easy to see and nab our belongings

Another called the bag "adorable," also complimenting the lining along with the bag's overall quality, loving the look and knowing it was made to last

This satchel is made of supple black and beige contrasting leather. Kate Spade loves to embrace color, but the brand recognizes the timeless charm of a neutral bag

Plus. a neutral bag leaves us room to play with color throughout the rest of our look! That's why this bag is a "wear-with-anything" accessory

No telling us twice! We love that we don't have to scoop all of our belongings out of this purse into another just because of a change of scenery or outfit

This bag has two top carry handles which we can rest chicly on our forearm or shoulder, or swing freely in our hand

If we're looking for a completely hands-and-arms-free experience, all we have to do is clip on the removable cross-body strap

This cross-body strap is adjustable, too, so we can let the bag fall wherever makes us most comfortable

The straps are black along with the side panels, which extend from the structured body of the bag to fit more goodies and everyday essentials

The front and back of this bag are the beige Ginger Tea shade, a creamy color that offsets the black beautifully

Subtly gleaming from between the straps is Kate Spade's iconic logo, which matches the rest of the bag's gold-tone hardware

Also on top of the bag is the golden zipper, which keeps our belongings safe when we're on the run

We've all had that moment where all of our stuff falls out of our purse in public, right? It's not the most fun thing in the world, to say the least

Especially when 10 candy wrappers and about 60 quarters come crashing out. Yeah, we'll definitely take the zipper

Down at the bottom of the bag are protective metal feet, also in gold. These feet are perfect for when we need to place our bag down but don't want to dirty and rough up the bottom

They also keep our bag standing tall instead of slouching and creasing. This feature is going to massively elongate the lifespan of our bag all the while making our life easier!  Inside of this bag, we immediately recognized Kate Spade's signature bookstripe lining

We can also find an interior zip pocket as well as wall pockets for storage upon storage upon storage

No more fishing around for our keys or phone for 10 minutes! We also like that we can keep our lipstick tucked away in one small spot in case it decides to uncap and color on the walls a little like a four-year-old with too much sugar in their system

We wish we had a time machine so we could high-five our future selves for still carrying this bag around in near-perfect condition

For now, though, we'll just have to trust that we'll look back and smile at the deal we got!    Check out more of our picks and deals here!  This post is brought to you by Us Weekly's Shop With Us

Divorce is Like Losing a Limb - Duration: 1:54.

For anybody going through a divorce at the moment, I'm sure that what I'm about

to say is going to sound pretty familiar - I don't think I'm telling you anything new.

But, one thing I realized the other day when we were working with one of our clients was that,

Divorce is really like somebody losing a limb,

or a hand, more specifically.

If you lose your left hand as we've all heard, the right hand will learn to compensate over time

You will learn to do more with your right hand, or your right hand will

strengthen and become more dexterous

and you will become more practiced than using that right hand.

You also want to use muscles that you may not have used before

in order to do those things.

Divorce is very similar to that.

You've lost your left hand, the future that you had planned

the future that you were looking at and working towards is now gone so it's

now going to be a matter of you learning those tasks, relearning how to use some

of those muscles taking responsibility for some of that planning yourself.

That can be really daunting, it can be really intimidating

so I think I would encourage everybody at it,

that's going through this process to do is,

firstly, take a step back -- you are not alone and you will get better and things will improve .

Take a step back, take a moment, and go on find somebody to

help you work through the process.

We recommend somebody in an arm's length,

friends and family, bless them.. They may not always be across all the

ins and outs and intricacies of such a big life change and obviously

their priority more about making sure that you are looked after in the moment.

Whereas a really good adviser, what they will do is,

they will map out your future

and make sure that you can get back on that right track.

They'll do it in a really sensitive and important way

so they can get back on track as quickly as possible.

A little bit like losing a hand.

I'm sure there's more of

that metaphor, that analogy, that we can work with

But I thought that's a good one to start with.

Thanks a lot!

FAIRBANKS Ś An Auburn, Maine, man arrested and charged Friday with the 1993 sexual assault and killing of Sophie Sergie is a licensed registered nurse who was fired from his job at aánursing facility in Maine in 2016.

Steven Harris Downs, 44, was discharged for a totality of substandard performance, according to a Maine Board of Nursingádisciplinary document.

Sergie, 20, of Pitkas Point, was found deadáApril 26, 1993,áin a bloody bathtub at Bartlett Hall on the University of Alaska Fairbanks campus. Alaska State Troopers were unable to identify a suspect and the case lingered in the cold case file for more than 25 years before DNA evidence linked Downs to the crime.

Downs was arrested Friday afternoon by the Maine State Police Tactical Team. Alaska State Troopers and Auburn police assisted in the arrest.

Downs will be extradited to Fairbanks and prosecuted on charges ofáfirst degree murder and first degree sexual assault.á

According to online records, Downs had been working as a registered nurse atáHarris House, a 12 bed intermediate care facility for people with intellectual disabilities in Livermore Falls, Maine, when he was fired April 11, 2016.á

In January 2016, a co worker at the facility accused Downs of making statementsáthat made the person uncomfortable. The allegations were handled internallyáand Downs apologized toáthe co worker.

Two months later, a second co worker complained that Downs made her uncomfortable through his words and actions when discussing a resident care matter, according to the document.á

Downs was also found to have mishandled medications several times in February and March of 2016. According to the document, Downs administered medication to patients hours after he documented doing so, pre poured medications into unlabeled cups and gave a patient a pill before it was due.á

An official complaint was prepared after Harris House notified the nursing board of Downs alleged actions and subsequent firing. Downs responded, disagreeing witháformer employers assessment of his performance. Downsásaid hisámedicationápractices were the result of the facility being short staffed and busy, according to the document.

The nursing board voted to offer Downs a consent agreement and disciplinary terms including a warning and a requirement that he complete a professional boundaries course. Downs completed the course and signed an agreement admitting he failed to follow policies designed to safeguard his patients and engaged in behavior that exceeded professional boundaries.

Downs Maine nursing license, which was issued in 2011, was renewed and is set to expire Aug. 31, 2020.áDowns nursing license history prior to 2011 was not available online,áaccording to the Maine Board of Nursing website. It is unclear where Downs attended nursing school,áwhether he was previously licensed in other states andáwhether he continued nursing after his 2016 firing.á

Little is known about Downs life before his arrest. Alaska state records show he was issued hunting and fishing licenses in Fairbanks in 1994 and 1995. Downs charging documents state he lived in Arizonaáat some point after leaving Alaska, and ultimately returned to Maine.á

Maine property tax records showáDowns purchased his house in Auburn in 2004 and paid offáhis mortgage in 2012.á

Hit BBC series Life On Mars is to get Mandarin adaptation Daily Mail Online - Duration: 6:13.

Hit BBC series Life On Mars is to get Mandarin adaptation Daily Mail Online

A Mandarin adaptation of the hit series Life On Mars hopes to captivate Chinese audiences with a hero police officer who time travels back to 1990s Beijing.

While the Bafta winning British version was set in 1970s Manchester, the new show is based during a period of massive economic expansion in .

The British series which starred John Simm and Philip Glenister is the story of modern day policeman Sam Tyler.

But after Tyler, played by Simm, is hit by a car and wakes up in 1973 he finds himself working for the now defunct Manchester and Salford Police.

Scroll down for video

Life On Mars first aired on the BBC in Britain in 2006 and focused on a fictional police officer who was sent back in time to 1970s Manchester. A Mandarin adaptation of the show has now been planned

The original show which won a Bafta starred John Simm left who played policeman Sam Tyler and Philip Glenister right who played Gene Hunt

Throughout the show, audience members are left wondering whether he has died, is in a coma or has actually traveled back in time.

And now Phoenix Entertainment Group, which has a partnership with Chinese state broadcaster CCTV, will begin pre production of the 24 part series adaptation later this year.

David Weiland, executive vice president of BBC Studios Asia, said: I am delighted that our first partnership with Phoenix Entertainment Group is Life On Mars which ranks as one of the best dramas to come out of the UK and is a great example of the breadth and wealth of our scripted formats catalogue.

We have a huge range of high quality scripted titles from Doctor Foster and Luther to Thirteen and In The Club, shows that would captivate Chinese audiences.

I look forward to viewers enjoying this local version of Life On Mars as they go back 30 years in time.

The Mandarin adaptation is set in 1990s China which was a period of mass economic change in the country and led to it becoming a major global manufacturer today pictured

Life On Mars was a huge success and the BBC series spawned a sequel, Ashes To Ashes, set in the 1980s.

The Mandarin edition will not be the first spin off as BBC Studios has previously licensed the format to Russia, Spain, Czech Republic and South Korea.

Bihai Wu, general manager of Phoenix Entertainment Group, said: We have been carefully considering other shows that could meet the criteria of high quality and consistency with our slate and brand.

Life On Mars drew our interest because of its originality and superb story telling.

The gripping plot line is hoped to be bolstered by setting the Mandarin adaption in a time of intense change as the Chinese began to overhaul their economy.

Free market liberal policies led to the country becoming a major exporter and manufacturing powerhouse.

And in December 1990, the Shanghai stock exchange reopened for the first time in 40 years and allowed China to join the World Trade Organisation.

In 1997, Hong Kong returned to Chinese rule after 156 years of British control.

After the infamous Tiananmen Square protests Deng Xiaoping, the countrys leader, retired from public view and passed power to Jiang Zemin.

Economic growth returned to a fast pace by the mid 1990s, averaging eight per cent annually.

Standards of living improved significantly but a wide urban rural wealth gap was opened as China saw the reappearance of the middle class.

Jiang also laid heavy emphasis on scientific and technological advancement in areas such as space exploration.

To sustain vast human consumption, the Three Gorges Dam was built.

Environmental pollution became a very serious problem as Beijing was frequently hit by sandstorms as a result of desertification.

The 1990s saw two foreign colonies returned to China, Hong Kong from Britain in 1997, and Macau from Portugal in 1999.

Jiang and President Clinton exchanged state visits, but Sino American relations took very sour turns at the end of the decade.

Hoppa!
