Now.

Huh?

Didn't it ring?

Lala-chan, it rang!

Listen, listen, listen!

Lala-chan, Lala-chan!

Geez, be quiet!

Hey, you should analyze it while looking for it.

That's inefficient.

Well well.

Why do you see how inefficient it is?

AI!

Looking for it whie analyzing it, or after analyzing it.

Which is faster?

Yes, analyzing data...

Analyzing data again?!

Lala-chan, that's enough!

I've been thinking of saying that since before!

Stop calling me with "chan"!

I'm an adult!

Back at you!

Don't call me by full-name!

Too formal!

Hmph!

Where are you going?

I'll look for it in my way!

Wait a minute!

Huh?

Why did you take us here?

So many people!

I'm just a box.

I think I told you!

We mustn't make them know who we are!

It'll be okay!

Where can we get that balloon?

Well...

Over there!

Thanks!

You pass even as an earthling.

See? It was okay, wasn't it?

I understood what those children spoke now.

Though I didn't understand yesterday.

Your difference between yesterday and today is whether you wear the pendant or not.

Thanks to the pendant?

Huh? By the way, where's Hikaru?

Hikaru-chan!

Hello!

Donuts-fuwa!

What was that?

I'll take some fluffy donuts.

W-what's wrong?

Huh?

Is she your friend?

All right! I'll give you an extra!

T-thank you.

It's not the time to enjoy shopping.

You know what?

The flying UFO event!

I heard Tadokoro-san saw it on the night before last.

I see...

Huh?

What's with "Twincool"?

You always say.

Yeah, Twincool...

Waste of time.

GRAVITAPPER Gameplay - Casual Arcade Game for iOS - Duration: 6:06.

Hello everyone to Big Paw Gaming!

Gravitapper is a casual arcade game that focuses on beating high-scores

and competing against global players.

It is a simplistic game where you have to run the ball through a cave

and avoid it hitting the walls while collecting another lost balls

for extra points.

The levels are randomly generated, so each time you play, it will feel a bit different.

Are you able to beat your previous record?

The graphics are very simple but they work here fine.

The music is hypnotic, putting your focus on the game.

I managed to hit pretty good score of over 12k within the first few minutes of gameplay.

How about you?

If you want to try it, the links are in the description below.

For the score, I give the game 4/10.

While I like it has very small amount of ads, it just missing content for now.

Hopefully devs will add that (they mentioned it that they plan to)

and the score could potentially be as high as 6-7.

I hope you like this video and watch it to the end.

With the Alliance of American Football underway, the action has provided a nice option for fans during the NFL offseason.

As authorities continue looking into the deadly standoff in San Jose, the UPS driver who was held hostage for hours is hailed as a hero by police. Ian Cull reports.

The San Jose police chief on Friday praised the actions of the UPS driver taken hostage by an armed carjacker, who was eventually shot and killed Thursday by authorities on city streets.

The UPS driver purposely drove slowly over spikes to stop the vehicle, according to San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia. In order to keep police on their trail, the driver said he told the hijacker that UPS box trucks could only go 50 miles an hour.

"This guys amazing, I really need to give him an application or something," Garcia said at a news conference Friday. "He purposely drove over the spike strips ... they actually wanted him to drive faster and he lied and told them the UPS truck couldn"t go over 50 miles per hour because he didn"t want the police to lose the truck."

The chase began late Thursday afternoon after a sheriff deputy approached a suspicious SUV illegally parking by the Ohlone Chynoweth VTA light rail station.

The San Jose police chief on Friday praised the actions of the UPS driver taken hostage by an armed carjacker, who was eventually shot and killed Thursday by authorities after a tense pursuit and standoff on city streets. Robert Handa reports.

Mark Morasky and a female suspect identified by police as 24 year old Joanna Macy Rogers were inside the vehicle and they took off as soon as they recognized the approaching deputy. Officers later relocated the vehicle nearby and thats when thewoman fired one shot at the sheriffs deputy vehicle.

Authorities said the woman shot at officers at least three more times during the pursuit along Highway 87.

The SUV exited onCurtner Avenue and the suspects abandoned their vehicle. Thats when they spotted the UPS driver walking, and forced him at gunpoint to get into his box truck and drive, according to Garcia.

San Jose police then joined sheriffs deputies in the chase. The UPS driver eventually took the exit on Skyport Drive and the pursuit turned into an intense standoff on North First Street and Trimble Road.

A dispatch call from thestandoffconfirmed what friends of the suspect told law enforcement officials, that he didnt want to live through the confrontation with officers.

"The suspect also said that he wanted to die tonight," an officer can be heard telling the dispatch center in the call before Morasky was eventually shot and killed by police after he ran from aUPS truck he allegedly hijacked with a shotgun.

San Jose Police Department Chief Eddie Garcia provides updates on the standoff with a suspected armed hijacker.

Several of Moraskys friends had been talking with him on the phone, trying to calm the situation.

"He was scared," friend Amanda Bazzani said. "He called me and said, I love you, Im in a standoff. And then he was saying goodbye, and I was like, No, no, dont say that."

Macy Rogers was released from the UPS box truck and taken into custody, according to officials. The unidentified UPS driver who was taken hostage was safely released.

Chief Garcia said Macy Rogers was charged withattempted murder, car jacking, kidnapping and shooting at occupied vehicles.

Morasky ran out of the truck with a shotgun and was shot by a San Jose police officer. Investigators later made a grim discovery in the SUV Morasky and Macy Rogers were driving. "They had the loaded shotgun of course, additional shotgun shells, but also duct tape, a machete and zip ties." Sheriff Laurie Smith said.

Morasky was on parole from armed robbery and carjacking charges. He was sentenced to five years in prison, and served four years in 2012, according to Garcia.

A standoff in San Jose on Thursday ended with authorities killing a gunman they say hijacked a UPS truck with the driver inside. According to dispatch call records, the driver said he wanted to die.Kris Sanchez reports.

The officer who shot and killed Morasky has been placed on paid administrative leave. Internal Affairs and the District Attorneys office continue to investigate the incident.

In the special election, Cynthia Gonzalez is the best pick for the LAUSD school board Los Angeles - Duration: 3:18.

In the special election, Cynthia Gonzalez is the best pick for the LAUSD school board Los Angeles

The Los Angeles Unified School District emerged from Januarys weeklong teachers strike bruised and divided. On the surface, the areas of dispute were the usual ones: pay, working conditions and staffing levels. But the subtextual issues the future of charter schools, the depth of the districts financial problems, a controversial and as yet unclear plan to reorganize the district into 32 networks and, ultimately, lack of trust in the districts relatively new superintendent, Austin Beutner are lasting ones that will require steady leadership and nuanced decision making by the school board.

The board, however, remains as riven as ever, with three members seen as heavily pro charter, two as pro teachers union and one who serves as a swing vote. The seventh seat, which has been vacant since Ref Rodriguez stepped down in July after pleading guilty to criminal charges, is up for grabs in a special election on March 5.

To the great resentment of United Teachers Los Angeles, Rodriguez held tight to his seat despite the pending charges against him long enough to vote for hiring Beutner, whom the union sees as the choice of wealthy philanthropist school reformers who want more charter schools. Beutners plan to reorganize the district, which he says will bring decision making out of headquarters and closer to schools, hasnt been met with enthusiasm so far, in large part because people dont know much about it. So when parents rose up to support teachers in their strike, Beutner, fairly or not, became a somewhat demonized figure.

No candidate fits all the criteria. But the one who comes closest is Cynthia Gonzalez.

Now Rodriguez is gone, and the race for his District 5 seat has drawn 10 candidates. They include educators and parents, community college professors, a longtime aide to Mayor Eric Garcetti and a well known former City Council member and assemblywoman who previously served on the school board in the 1980s. The oddly shaped district on LAUSDs eastern border takes in the affluent neighborhoods of Silver Lake and Los Feliz to the north and more working class towns such as Huntington Park and Cudahy to the south. About 90 percent of the students in District 5 are Latino.

Those students deserve a board member who understands the challenges they face and will stand up for their right to qualified teachers and better resources. At the same time, the board needs a collaborative, thoughtful and nondogmatic person who will use insight rather than rhetoric to get the job done.

This is too complicated a moment in the boards history for someone with no experience to take the job. The new board member is likely to serve as the decisive vote on hot button issues. He or she should be steeped in knowledge of education generally and LAUSD specifically. Current, on the ground understanding of schools and of the day to day reality for teachers, parents and students is a big plus, especially because theres too little of that on the existing board. The new member should play a role in helping Beutner build stronger relationships with teachers and parents, and should advocate strongly for full transparency on district plans. Its preferable to have a board member who is independent minded rather than ideologically wedded to the union or to charter school advocates.

No candidate fits all the criteria. But the one who comes closest is Cynthia Gonzalez, the principal of the communications and technology high school at Diego Rivera Learning Complex in South L.A. Thats a pilot school, which means it has greater independence, like a charter school, but remains an LAUSD school with UTLA teachers.

With previous experience as an administrator at one of the districts high performing magnet schools and two of her own children in district schools , Gonzalez has seen how much difference it makes for students to have savvy parents who can negotiate the schools bureaucracy and access to resources, both at home and at their schools. Gonzalez also understands that the challenges arent spread evenly among schools and that performance metrics dont take that into account.

Gonzalez, who has been a teacher and principal at L.A. schools for 17 years, points to at least one school that has such a high number of students with severe learning disabilities that it can never hope for a graduation rate of higher than 80 percent . And she expresses concern that charter schools tout their academic achievements without educating enough of those more challenging students.

She is clearly more aligned with the teachers union than with the charter school movement and would like to see at least a temporary moratorium on opening new charters. Thats not a decision the school board can make under state law. But, like Beutner, she is a strong believer in autonomy for individual schools, though she feels certain that can be accomplished without dividing down into 32 networks, if schools operated more like pilot schools. If she makes it to the board, we hope she would support all schools that do well by students with the greatest needs.

One of her roles on the board, Gonzalez said, would be to serve as a bridge between policymakers and reality, helping explain how proposed new initiatives would be received by schools and whether they would be likely to work.

UTLA has thrown its support behind Jackie Goldberg, a retired teacher, 1980s school board member, former L.A. City Council member and state legislator. But Goldberg, though smart, knowledgeable and effective, is too combative and too ideological. Garcettis favored candidate, longtime aide Heather Repenning, is moderate in her approach, but her lack of experience in education shows; during an interview, she had nothing insightful or original to say about the issues facing L.A. Unified. Both have raised far more money than Gonzalez.

That makes the odds against Gonzalez high. She lacks strong political connections. Shes simply an experienced educator with a strong grasp of both the big philosophical picture and the day to day work of educating students who often face extraordinary obstacles in their lives. Shes what the school board needs.

Update | Essential California The long fall for Californias bullet train Los Angeles Times - Duration: 5:39.

Update | Essential California The long fall for Californias bullet train Los Angeles Times

Good morning, and welcome to the Essential California . Its Thursday, Feb. 14, and heres whats happening across California:

TOP STORIES

It was billed as the most ambitious public works project since the transcontinental railroad opened up the West. But bite by bite, huge cost overruns, mismanagement, political concessions and delays ate away at the sleek and soaring vision of a bullet train linking San Francisco to San Diego. A project meant to drive home Californias role as the technological vanguard of the nation was looking more and more like a pepped up Amtrak route through the Central Valley. During his first State of the State address on Tuesday, Gov. Gavin Newsom announced he was scaling back the dollar 77 billion project. While his wording was open to interpretation, it signaled to many a death knell not necessarily of the project itself, but to that original dream.

Plus: After Newsom announced plans to scale back the high speed rail project, President Trump demanded that California return billions of dollars to the federal government. In a tweet Wednesday, Trump said the state had been forced to cancel the project and referred to it as a green disaster. Newsom fired back in his own tweet, decrying what he called fake news.

A closer look at the sheriffs numbers

Los Angeles County Sheriff Alex Villanueva says the jails he now supervises are a dangerous mess: Inmates increasingly are assaulting one another, staff members are suffering more attacks and use of force has gone way up. He also says that his immediate predecessor, Jim McDonnell, covered up data on the jail violence in order to hide the problem from the public. But many of the numbers Villanueva is using to make his case are known to be unreliable.

Cracking down on Huawei

The White House is preparing a sweeping executive order that could bar Chinese companies from selling equipment for use in future U.S. telecommunications networks, claiming Beijing could exploit the technology to carry out cyber intrusions and espionage. The main target of the draft order, expected to be released in days, is Huawei, the worlds largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer. The order would not affect U.S. consumer electronics companies whose products incorporate components from China.

L.A. STORIES

Wet weather: A storm that forecasters say is the strongest this winter created havoc in Northern California, then descended on Southern California.

Plus: Atmospheric rivers are pounding the state. What are they exactly?

The tide turns: Three of West Hollywoods five City Council members have called for Mayor John Duran to resign amid allegations that he sexually harassed fellow members of the Gay Mens Chorus of Los Angeles.

USC update: As federal regulators continue investigating USCs handling of a campus gynecologist accused of sexual abuse, the university is pressing forward with a dollar 215 million class action settlement with former patients.

A good Valentines Day read: Fall in love with the work of Yesika Salgado, a Salvadoran poet in Silver Lake.

IMMIGRATION AND THE BORDER

Headed to the clink: Drug lord Joaquin El Chapo Guzman twice escaped from prison in Mexico. With his conviction on drug trafficking and murder charges in U.S. federal court this week, he is likely headed to a much more secure facility: the so called Alcatraz of the Rockies.

POLITICS AND GOVERNMENT

Rough stuff: Michael Avenatti agreed to relinquish financial control of his longtime law firm hours after a former partner filed papers accusing him of hiding millions of dollars from the court that oversaw its bankruptcy.

A wild wall: Can Democrats prevent Trump from using his executive power to build a wall?

Gross: All that trash on Bay Area highways? Caltrans is under threat of fines if its not cleaned up.

CRIME AND COURTS

Big news: Los Angeles County supervisors this week narrowly approved tearing down the dungeon like Mens Central Jail downtown and building at least one mental health treatment facility in its place.

Manhunt ends: A man who was placed on the FBIs Ten Most Wanted list when he skipped bail after his arrest in connection with a series of sexual assaults in the Los Angeles area was shot and killed by federal agents in North Carolina, authorities said Wednesday.

Wild: Billionaire Henry T. Nicholas III was charged in Las Vegas with multiple counts of narcotics trafficking six months after police discovered heroin and meth in the Broadcom co founders massive suite at the Encore hotel.

Arrested: A 20 year old North Carolina man who federal authorities say is part of a hacker collective was arrested Tuesday and charged with threatening Southern California schools and Los Angeles International Airport.

Trouble in Fresno: Is Granite Park still cursed? The Fresno district attorney is reviewing an audit tied to a local developer and newly elected Rep. TJ Cox.

THE ENVIRONMENT

A helping hand: Gov. Newsom signed a pair of bills into law to immediately provide dollar 131.3 million in funding to expand access to clean drinking water, improve emergency preparedness and support wildfire ravaged communities.

CALIFORNIA CULTURE

RIP: Opportunity, the intrepid NASA rover that spent 15 years on Mars climbing in and out of craters to gather evidence of the planets watery past has been brought down by tiny particles of dust.

Laker trouble: Luke Waltons job is said to be safe, even as the Lakers keep losing games.

Be like Mike: LeBron James wants to own an NBA team.

Not just for the office pool: New Jersey has become the first state in the United States that will take legal Oscars bets.

Plus: How Hollywoods diversity push is also changing the makeup industry.

Troubling story: Musician Ryan Adams dangled success. Though the musician denies wrongdoing, women say they paid a price.

CALIFORNIA ALMANAC

Los Angeles area: rainy, 63, Thursday; rainy, 57, Friday. San Diego: rainy, 63, Thursday; cloudy, 61, Friday. San Francisco area: showers, 56, Thursday; showers, 52, Friday. San Jose: showers, 60, Friday; showers, 52, Friday. Sacramento: thunderstorms, 55, Thursday; showers, 52, Friday.

AND FINALLY

Todays California memory comes from Dorothy Daily:

Arroyo Seco Parkway, one of the first, if not the first, freeways. My mother drove our 1936 Dodge from Pasadena to downtown Los Angeles to do our annual school shopping. I dont think we passed more than two dozen cars. Of course it was wartime 1942 1944 and gas and tires were rationed. After shopping at the May Co. we had lunch at Cliftons cafeteria. My favorite was the orange sherbet.

Kushner prepping allies for spring launch of US Middle East Peace plan Politics - Duration: 5:10.

Kushner prepping allies for spring launch of US Middle East Peace plan Politics

During a presentation Thursday, Kushner confirmed that the Trump administration will not release its peace plan prior to Israels elections in April, according to a senior administration official present in the room.

After a series of meetings at the Munich Security Conference this weekend, Kushner will spend the end of the month, alongside Jason Greenblatt, Trumps former personal lawyer who is now an adviser on Israel, on a trip to present economic elements of the plan to wealthy Arab allies.

Kushners presentation was the first chance international diplomats had to hear about the Trump administrations efforts to resolve the decades long conflict. The Presidents son in law and his team have kept a tight wrap on the substance of his plan, refusing to share details with traditional US partners on Mideast peace efforts, including allies in the region and in Europe.

The silence surrounding the plan has become a source of frustration and uncertainty that some diplomats worry could eventually scuttle the proposals chances.

Fears about the plan

Kushner has rebuffed major US allies requests to circulate the plan, one diplomat said, as he and his team are reportedly fearful that its contents would leak out and the proposal would be scuttled before they have a chance to roll it out.

But the diplomat told CNN that the silence and secrecy could contribute to the plans failure. This diplomat said major US allies hope to see the proposal early so they can identify snags or build support, but they have been met with silence, which has left them frustrated.

"Were not being told anything," a second diplomat said. These allies very much want to help out in the process if they can, but they feel left out and many have voiced frustration.

One concern the allies have is they will learn about the substance of the plan so late in the game that its impossible to weigh in with changes and that it could be something they cant support.

One source familiar with discussions between countries said this is particularly a concern in Arab countries that will get briefed on the economic portion of the proposal which they will be asked to fund.

A new style

"This is not likely to go well the economic piece is seen in the region as shorthand for trying to buy the Palestinians off," the source said. "Its important to get Arab buy in. You need the main Arab players to urge the Palestinians not to say no. ... You want them to go to Palestinian Authority President Abu Mazen Mahmoud Abbas and say, Dont dismiss it. Give it a thought. Lets see what elements you can live with. For that to happen," the source said, Arab countries "have to feel that they are co owners of this thing. They have to be privy" to the substance of the plan.

That source cautioned that while almost nothing is known about the proposal, it is expected to skew heavily in favor of Israel and is expected to use nonlegal language, not the internationally established and accepted jargon associated with past peace proposals.

The style and choice of the language, the source said, is an attempt to speak directly to Palestinians in the hope that they can be used to pressure Abbas to accept the plan. It is not expected to mention a two state solution, the source said, but explains how Palestinian self determination will manifest itself.

In Poland on Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu told those gathered at Kushners briefing that he will not prejudge the plan before it is put out and he hopes that Palestinians, who refused to attend the meeting, will do so as well, according to the senior administration official in the room.

Talks between the US and Palestinians broke down after Trumps December 2017 decision to recognize Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, a rejection of international consensus that the issue should be resolved toward the end of peace negotiations.

The US has also closed the Palestinian diplomatic presence in Washington and cut aid to Palestinian refugees, deepening the chill between the two sides, leading Palestinians to declare that the US had forfeited its position as a neutral arbiter in the conflict.

A diplomat familiar with the peace plan discussions said the US had asked Saudi Arabias ambassador to the US, Prince Khalid bin Salman, to try to get Palestinian leadership to attend the summit. He was unsuccessful.

No reason to attend

An Arab diplomat said the United Arab Emirates had also asked the Palestinians to come to Warsaw but they said no. Their reasoning, the diplomat said, is that the US has not done anything in their favor, giving them little reason to attend the conference.

"We can try to talk and give some advice, but cant force them to do anything," a Saudi diplomat told CNN. "We do not have the power to tell people not to go or to go. But we always try to bridge opinions when we can."

Jonathan Schanzer, a Middle East scholar and senior vice president at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, noted that has reduced Saudi political capital and made them more risk averse, "but may see other Arab states assume more of a public role. But the Saudis will keep doing it if the US asks."

The senior administration official said rollout of the peace plan has been delayed by a number of external factors. Kushner and his team were supposed to visit the countries that are to be involved with the economic portion of the proposal in October, but that got pushed back after Khashoggis murder.

US elections in November created another roadblock, along with the partial government shutdown in January. But some analysts said the delay until after Aprils elections may be about helping Netanyahu, an old family friend of Kushners who is facing corruption allegations and political headwinds.

April elections

Even if the Israeli leader wins the elections in April, the political baggage he carries including the possibility he may get indicted on corruption charges may make it hard for him to assemble a coalition. But if the administration puts forward a peace plan after the election, various Israeli political parties might want to join the coalition to be part of that process.

"Netanyahu might be keen on having the plan coming out after the election and before coalition formation, so it could be a pivot point to broaden his coalition," said David Makovsky, of the Washington Institute of Near East Policy.

Schanzer said the proposals rollout could just as easily sink the prime minister, who has drawn some red lines about what he will and will not accept.

Netanyahus conditions include an Israeli security presence along the Jordan River the western edge of any future Palestinian state for decades. And he has said in the past that he will not divide Jerusalem, even as Palestinians say they want to establish their capital there as well.

"I think it could be a bomb they are going to drop on the Israeli political system. ... No matter when this thing is rolled out, there is a possibility that this plan blows up Netanyahus chance at being prime minister even if he wins the election," Schanzer said. "This could disrupt his ability to hold together a coalition because of what he would be asked to give up."

It didn't take long for NFL players to blast a controversial call - Duration: 2:01.

The officiating crew at the 2019 Super Bowl is under more scrutiny than ever after an egregious missed call at the end of the NFC championship game helped the  Rams secure their spot in Atlanta, and it only took a few minutes for the refs to make a controversial decision in the first quarter

On a 2nd-and-14 play during the Patriots' second offensive drive of the game, quarterback Tom Brady dumped the ball off to Rex Burkhead – who was immediately tackled by Nickell Robey-Coleman

Don't hit each other too hard, guys! 15-yard penalty for footballing. pic.twitter

Although the incorrect player was announced, Robey-Coleman was flagged for personal foul for hitting a defenseless receiver

Many NFL players couldn't believe the call. Terrible personal foul call 🤦🏾‍♂️ give him a chance to see you? I'm so confused  — Eddie Royal (@EddieRoyalWR) February 3, 2019   Hey that's a BS reason to call a flag… how many times have we seen defensive players be there on time… Idk man  — Dez Bryant (@DezBryant) February 3, 2019   First terrible call of the game

 — Sage Rosenfels (@SageRosenfels18) February 3, 2019   Here we go again ? Can't be on 23 ?  — Chris Harris (@ChrisHarrisJr) February 3, 2019    Instead of facing a 3rd-and-very-long situation deep in their own territory, the Patriots got an automatic first down and moved up 15 yards to the 35-yard line

The Patriots extended the drive and put themselves in position to get on the board, but kicker Stephen Gostkowski missed a 46-yard field goal

What Is the AAF? What Does It Stand For in Football? | Heavy.com - Duration: 5:33.

What Is the AAF? What Does It Stand For in Football? | Heavy.com

What is the AAF and what does the football abbreviation mean? The AAF is a new football league that launched in 2019 and stands for the Alliance of American Football.

The AAF is aiming to fill the void of a long NFL offseason with no football.

The AAF started the week after the Super Bowl providing fans with more football through April.

"Two hundred million watch college and pro football compared to the 130 million combined that watch the other major sports," Ebersol explained The New York Times.

"We don't need to get all of those football fans to tune back in, but I like our chances of getting a significant chunk of them.".

Fans flipping through channels will notice AAF games on NFL Network, CBS Sports, TNT and streaming online through the Bleacher Report app.

Contrary to failed football leagues of the past, the AAF is not attempting to compete with the NFL, instead, it is aiming to serve as a developmental league for players, coaches and front office executives.

Giants co-owner Steve Tisch noted he thinks the AAF can create even more interest in the NFL.

"If it creates additional interest in the NFL — which I think it will — I think it proves Americans want to watch football 52 weeks a year," Tisch explained to TMZ.

Former NFL GM Bill Polian helped create the AAF with Ebersol.

Polian's role was to make sure the level of football was top notch.

"I want folks who know football to say, 'Hey, this is pretty good football and it'll get better and it got better during the year,'" Polian told ESPN.

"We're going to be a lot better on the 27th of April than we'll be on the 9th of February.

Teams get better as they practice and play together.

That's No.

2, I want people to say that it's an interesting and exciting game.".

Each AAF Team Has Ties to Local Colleges & Universities.

One of the ways the AAF is hoping to engage local markets is through the way the rosters are constructed.

Each of the eight teams have ties with the universities in their area.

For examples, former Alabama running back Trent Richardson is playing for the Birmingham Iron.

The goal is to have local fans recognize players that they rooted for during their college careers.

ESPN detailed how the AAF rosters were constructed.

  Three ways.

First, the league figured out the top 30 NFL-producing colleges over the past 10 seasons (USC is No.

1), and gave each team three high-producing schools.

Then they gave teams up to 30 other area schools in a certain range to pull allocations from.

If a player doesn't fit that grouping, they also assigned four NFL teams to each AAF team; if a player played for a team or was in training camp with a team, then his rights were given to the respective AAF team.

This was done with both geographic and population data (for instance, San Antonio has the Cowboys, Texans, Chiefs and Eagles).

There is also at least one CFL team assigned to each team.

If a player hits none of these lists, then there was a first-come, first-served rights list of 25 players.

Church of England clears the way for first female Archbishop by rewriting laws - Duration: 3:09.

The Church of England has edged closer to the appointment of its first woman Archbishop

A sweep to remove potential barriers from the path of any woman promoted to the highest leadership of the CofE is to be carried out by the Church's parliament later this month

Among changes set to be approved by the General Synod are legal rules which refer to the two Archbishops of Canterbury and York as men

The alterations to the 50-year-old constitution of the Synod come as the job of Archbishop of York, second in the hierarchy of the Church, is about to fall vacant

The Most Reverend John Sentamu is to step down in the summer of 2020.While the process for choosing a successor has yet to begin, the selection of a female candidate is considered highly likely

The CofE has picked a string of female bishops since the doors to the episcopacy were opened to women in 2014

Legal wording that could be interpreted as excluding women from the two most senior posts is contained in clauses of the Synod constitution that set out Archbishop powers

One passage gives Archbishops the right to take charge of Synod proceedings. It states: 'The Archbishops of Canterbury and York shall be joint Presidents of the General Synod, and they shall determine the occasions on which it is desirable that one of the Presidents shall be chairman of a meeting of the General Synod

' Another clause says Synod voting procedures can be simplified 'by permission of the chairman'

The removal of the male-only language is to be put before the Synod as one point of a bundle of new Church laws

Billed as the 'replacement of outdated terms', it says the words 'chairman' and 'vice-chairman' should be changed to 'chair' and 'vice chair'

The CofE yesterday said language in new documents has been modernised to include gender-neutral terms since 2004, and older documents are updated 'where opportunity presents itself'

Ant McPartlin 'slams Piers Morgan for belittling his rehab battle - Duration: 4:16.

Ant McPartlin has hit back at Piers Morgan in a strongly worded email after he accused the Good Morning Britain co-host of 'belittling' his recovery from addiction issues

A source told The Mirror that Ant sent the email to his fellow ITV star after he felt Morgan belittled his journey to recovery, as well as insulting people struggling with mental health issues

Piers, 53, recently asked on Good Morning Britain why the Saturday Night Takeaway host was up for an award at the National Television Awards - when he had been walking the dog for a year' and 'sitting on his backside'

Piers was referring to the aftermath of Ant's highly publicised fallout from a drink-driving conviction in April last year

Ant, who co hosts with Declan Donnelly, checked into rehab after the incident, pulling out of the Britain's Got Talent live shows and I'm a Celeb in the process

During his recovery from booze problems and prescription drug addiction, he was often pictured walking his Labrador, Hurley in the parks near his home

Ant is understood to have credited the Labrador with helping him through his well-documented struggles with alcohol and substance abuse issues, even receiving cards filled with the dog's paw prints

Despite this absence from television, he and Donnelly won the hosting award for the 18th year in a row

Piers, who lost out on the award to the pair, said: 'They'll win.Even though Ant's basically been sitting on his backside, from what I can see walking his dog for the last year

He's got an award.' A source told The Mirror that Ant hit back, saying he 'didn't appreciate' Piers 'belittling him'

The source said: 'Ant sent him an email saying he takes his recovery very seriously and he didn't appreciate Piers belittling it by saying all he has done is walk the dog

'Ant did work last year – he presented nearly the whole series of Takeaway and all the audition shows of BGT

'He then worked hard on his recovery. To suggest that all he did was walk the dog insults everyone who is in recovery or suffering from mental health issues

'Ant pointed this all out to Piers.' Piers also said before Ant and Dec scooped the gong, that if the pair won, he would 'take the day off every day and walk his dog' next year

The controversial Good Morning Britain host had previously criticised Ant for branding new girlfriend Anne-Marie Corbett his "rock" - instead opting to back Ant's estranged wife Lisa Armstrong, 42

The pair split in January last year and Piers said Armstrong must be 'hurt' by Ant's new relationship

Great Rak Blow for Man Utd and Chelsea as Barcelona boss calls for new Rakitic contract - Duration: 2:37.

MANCHESTER UNITED and Chelsea have been dealt a huge blow after Ernesto Valverde revealed he wants Ivan Rakitic to sign a new Barcelona contract

Reports claim the Croatian midfielder, 30, is a transfer target for the Premier League duo this summer

Barca are rebuilding their squad with younger players such as Arthur and Frenkie De Jong

And with PSG's Adrien Rabiot also said to be on his way to the Nou Camp, it means experienced big earners such as Rakitic are sweating over their futures

Chelsea were reported to have made an enquiry last month following Cesc Fabregas' move to Monaco

While Man United are the latest team to be linked with Rakitic's coveted signature

But it now seems the playmaker could be set to extend his deal beyond 2021, with boss Valverde admitting he is a key cog in the machine

Valverde himself has just signed an extension to stay in the Catalan capital.  And the club are likely to back his recommendation over Rakitic's future

Valverde said: "The club will take the steps they have to take to have the best team

Rakitic is an important player for us." Weekend preview of European football on TV including Barcelona and AC Milan
