Hayley Paige Reveals a New Design for Sabrina Bryan | Say Yes to the Dress - Duration: 1:49.

- All right, so we're going to start with the Sloane,

and you ladies, hold tight.

Oh, I feel like I'm not doing anything.

No, you're not doing anything.

You just get to chill. - OK.

The chilling champs.

I honestly didn't a two for one even existed.

Here she is.

So I'm really excited to see what Hayley has in mind.

This is the Sloane gown.

It has a slim fit, just like the [INAUDIBLE]

you tried on earlier today.

OK.

But then she has this fabulous ball gown that goes

over, like a detachable skirt.

Nice.

And you get sparkle.

- Oh, gosh. - You get all the things.

- It's gorgeous. - Yes.

Oh, my gosh.

The glitz, and glam up top.

The beautiful, poofy ball gown on the bottom.

I cannot wait to get in this dress.

Are you ready, girl?

Yes.

OK, let me know if you need help.

It's a lot of dress.

It is a lot of dress.

I'll carry your train.

Aw.

That's so beautiful.

Oh my god!

Oh, I love it.

Wow.

That is fabulous.

That's amazing.

So this isn't overskirt, and the dress underneath is fitted.

You can't tell.

I love this idea.

It's so cool.

And we could do, like, a matching, customized belt here,

too, to even more so bring the [INAUDIBLE]

back to the waist area.

But the best part is no one would know.

She'd walk down, you know, the ceremony aisle, like this.

Uh-huh?

And then-- tah-dah!

Oh!

Whoa.

Oh, my god.

And she has a whole other look underneath.

Amazing.

I love that.

So cool, right?

Now you have everything.

Very cool.

I definitely think this is hitting the drama button

for Sabrina, because she's getting

an opportunity to really have a sense of versatility

on her wedding day.

Who says you have to compromise?

Sport TV - What Brighton's FA Cup win means for the new Tottenham stadium - Duration: 3:21.

Spurs fans are desperate for the club to move into their stunning new home in the coming weeks after a long time away from N17

Spending the whole of last season at Wembley, the Lilywhites were expected to be in their new stadium for the start of this campaign but the opening date has continued to be pushed back

With the club revealing that the north London derby against Arsenal at the start of next month will be played at the national stadium, no announcement has been made regrading the home fixture against Crystal Palace on Sunday, March 17

However, there is a real possibility that the game against the Eagles will have to be rearranged due to the club's involvement in the FA Cup

The quarter-finals of the famous competition are due to be played that weekend and Palace take on League One side Doncaster Rovers on Sunday afternoon for a place in the final eight

Given that many expect Roy Hodgson's side to advance to the next round with a win at the Keepmoat Stadium, that means Spurs' home game against Brighton & Hove Albion could potentially be the first game back in N17

With the Palace fixture set to be rearranged providing they beat Doncaster, the game against the Seagulls could also be moved due to their FA Cup run

The semi-finals are due to take place the same weekend Brighton are down to play in north London and Chris Hughton's side are now into the quarter-finals following their 2-1 win over Derby County on Saturday afternoon

That means Spurs could potentially face a hectic end to the season with rearranged games against Crystal Palace and Brighton, as well as the fact they could also be in the latter stages of the Champions League the same month

The draw for the final eight is due to take place on Monday evening and all Spurs fans will no doubt have their fingers crossed that Brighton get one of Man City, Chelsea or Manchester United in the next round

Boohoo bans wool for being 'cruel to animals' but campaigners say it will harm sheep - Duration: 5:11.

Many fashion chains have long banned fur and exotic animal skins for ethical reasons

But one leading online clothes retailer has taken things a step further – and halted its use of wool

The move by Boohoo has shocked farmers who say shearing sheep should not involve any cruelty

And a campaign for wool backed by Prince Charles branded the action 'absurd'.In fact, removing fleeces is vital on welfare grounds to stop the animals from overheating and to protect them from insect infestations

At the same time, wool is a natural, sustainable, source of yarn and clothing, unlike the plastic and polyester that is used for most of the cheap lines churned out by Boohoo, including dresses for as little as £3

Currently, retailers – particularly fast fashion firms – are under pressure for fuelling the problem of plastic pollution by promoting throwaway clothing

Boohoo's decision follows pressure from campaigning vegan group PETA, which caused controversy in November after calling for the Dorset village of Wool to change its name as part of its campaign against what it claims is cruel sheep farming

The group, which includes the brands Boohoo, BoohooMAN, PrettyLittleThing, and Nasty Gal, told PETA that as of autumn-winter 2019/20, 'we will not knowingly source any wool products'

A spokesman told the Mail that the change is being made on animal welfare grounds

However, the National Sheep Association hit back.A spokesman said: 'Wool is not a cruelly sourced product

In the vast majority of cases sheep are handled with care when being shorn, and are shorn for health and comfort reasons

'The sheep industry does not condone any behaviour that falls below the highest welfare standard for the sheep

'Nicholas Coleridge, chairman of the Prince of Wales' Campaign for Wool, added that PETA's position opposing the use of wool was 'absurd' and 'out of date'

'The reason the Prince of Wales is so passionate about the use of wool is that it is ecologically more sound than almost any other material,' he said

'It is reusable and natural as well as making beautiful clothes.' PETA claims the process of shearing can involve cruelty and rough handling of the animals

Since 2004, it has released 11 exposes of 99 sheep-shearing facilities on four continents, including in the UK, where it claims there is evidence of abuse

It also claims the wool industry causes damage to the environment because manure from livestock contributes to greenhouse gases

Just yesterday, PETA supporters protested outside a London Fashion Week event against the use of wool

Activists carried signs proclaiming, 'Wool Is as Cruel as Fur'.Boohoo currently has some coats and jackets which contain a mix of real wool in the material

However, most of its range has already been given over to what it calls 'wool-look' products, which are made from a mixture of polyester and viscose

Husband who strangled wife 'to stop her talking' let family look for her for months - Duration: 9:34.

They may have been living under the same roof, but Canadian couple Josh Burgess and Shannon Madill had agreed that their marriage was over

They were in the awkward stage of a break-up, where they had to share their home in Ramsay, Calgary, despite both of them being back on the dating scene, and making plans for a future that didn't include the other

The couple had dated for four years before getting married, but by 2014, their relationship had fallen apart

Although it had always been clear they loved each other, Shannon and Josh had very different personalities

While Josh, 29, worked with old buildings and was quiet, Shannon, 25, was a vibrant aspiring actress and a larger than life character who loved to be the centre of attention

She'd been into drama since school and was an accomplished musician. With red hair, green eyes, and a wicked sense of humour, Shannon found work as a voice actress, a performance artist and as a stand-up comedian

After the couple had decided to separate, they'd agreed to date other people, and Shannon had started to pack her things

She was looking to move to Edmonton, which was three hours away, to pursue her acting dreams

But in the early hours of November 27, Josh got in from a night out and they fell into old habits

They slept with each other – but it was far from a reconciliation. Afterwards, they started to argue, and, according to Josh, fiery Shannon told him that she wished she'd never married him and that she didn't need him any more

They were words Josh couldn't handle, and he put his hand over his estranged wife's mouth to try and silence her

When she fought back and bit him, Josh climbed on top of her and silenced her screams by tightening both his hands around her neck

Then he finished the job with his belt. Pulling it hard until Shannon was dead. Josh then shoved his wife's body in a plastic bin

It was winter so the ground was frozen solid so he was unable to bury her body. He put the makeshift plastic coffin on the patio, where it would stay until the ground thawed

With the freezing temperatures, Shannon's body was preserved. On December 1, Shannon's sister Erin reported her missing

She hadn't met her brother as arranged and that was very unlike her – she was close to her family

She wasn't answering her phone – unheard of for an actress waiting for news from her agent about auditions

Because Josh and Shannon were separated, there was no suspicion cast on Josh about not reporting her missing

After all, Shannon was an independent woman who was starting a new life without him

In fact, Josh was welcomed to stand by Shannon's family as they desperately pleaded for information

Shannon always joked that she would know she'd 'made it big' when she got herself a stalker – had someone targeted her? Josh joined Shannon's parents and siblings as they held a press conference, begging for her safe return

'It is unbelievably unlikely for her to disappear and not actually contact anybody,' said sister Erin

'We're going to stay as optimistic as long as we possibly can.' As the months rolled by, Josh could have put Shannon's loved ones out of their misery and told them her fate

Instead, he was seen by staff at his local store, kissing and holding hands with a woman

Then in the spring, when the ground was finally soft enough to dig a hole, he buried Shannon in the garden of her own home

He covered the grave with dirt, branches and cement slabs. But the guilty can only hide for so long and the investigation was closing in on Josh

In July 2015, seven months after Shannon had vanished, police went to Josh's home with a search warrant for his phone and car

Josh refused to come out and a stand-off began. Knowing his time was up, he told the police over the phone that he'd killed Shannon

It would take several hours before Josh agreed to come out of the house, and when he did, he'd superficially cut his own throat with a utility knife and was taken to hospital

Once stitched up, he was taken in for questioning. Officers had found Shannon's body in the back garden and Josh explained why he'd picked there to bury her

'I chose my lawn because I just didn't want her to leave,' he admitted. When asked why he'd murdered his wife, he said that he'd 'just wanted her to stop talking'

They would have given anything to hear her voice again – and yet silencing her had been the 'reason' she'd been killed

In August 2015, Shannon's family finally got to mourn their daughter,  with a celebration of her life held at a theatre in Calgary

More than 500 family members, friends and colleagues took to the stage to perform or share memories of Shannon

It was a fitting tribute to the talented musician and actress, and was called Shannon's 'farewell tour'

In December 2017, on the day that Josh, now 31, was due to stand trial, he changed proceedings by pleading guilty to second-degree murder

The plea came as part of an agreed statement of facts that were read aloud in a courtroom to explain what had happened that fateful day

Despite a rehashing of all the horrific details, the arrangement spared Shannon's family from sitting through a trial that would have been full of even more upsetting evidence

'The details are gruesome, painful and undignified,' Justice Pat Sullivan said. At the sentencing, Shannon's family had prepared victim impact statements which were read out

They talked about their loss and their feelings of betrayal from a man they'd considered to be family

They noted that Josh had pretended to grieve with them while Shannon was missing

'[He] kept us suffering for so long, intentionally keeping us in limbo,' said Shannon's sister Erin, referring to her as her best friend

'Spending seven months looking for my sister was the hardest thing I have ever done

My mind would go to the darkest places wondering where she could be and what happened to her

'When she was finally found, a whole new dark period started.' Shannon's dad, David, described his daughter as a talented performer and said her death had left him without purpose

David spoke of his devastation that he'd failed to protect his daughter – but never saw Josh as a threat and neither had Shannon

'There was no indication at all on her part that she had any concerns for her safety,' he said, choking back tears

'I feel a significant amount of betrayal. Josh was not some stranger on the street, but rather someone we had welcomed into the family

' David turned to Josh and said, 'Today, I hope this is the last day I ever see you

' Josh was allowed to make a statement and used it to apologise. 'I'm very sorry for the vows that I made, that I promised to look after her, no matter what the circumstances were

I failed her in that,' he said. 'For several months afterwards, everybody stood by me, unquestionably

I failed all of you in that and I am so very sorry for that and so very sorry that I didn't say something earlier

' They were empty words to those mourning Shannon and they were relieved when Josh was sentenced to life in prison without the chance of parole until he'd served 10 years

Shannon loved the spotlight, but sadly it was her death that brought her fame

As authorities continue looking into the deadly standoff in San Jose, the UPS driver who was held hostage for hours is hailed as a hero by police. Ian Cull reports.

The San Jose police chief on Friday praised the actions of the UPS driver taken hostage by an armed carjacker, who was eventually shot and killed Thursday by authorities on city streets.

The UPS driver purposely drove slowly over spikes to stop the vehicle, according to San Jose Police Chief Eddie Garcia. In order to keep police on their trail, the driver said he told the hijacker that UPS box trucks could only go 50 miles an hour.

"This guys amazing, I really need to give him an application or something," Garcia said at a news conference Friday. "He purposely drove over the spike strips ... they actually wanted him to drive faster and he lied and told them the UPS truck couldn"t go over 50 miles per hour because he didn"t want the police to lose the truck."

The chase began late Thursday afternoon after a sheriff deputy approached a suspicious SUV illegally parking by the Ohlone Chynoweth VTA light rail station.

Mark Morasky and a female suspect identified by police as 24 year old Joanna Macy Rogers were inside the vehicle and they took off as soon as they recognized the approaching deputy. Officers later relocated the vehicle nearby and thats when thewoman fired one shot at the sheriffs deputy vehicle.

Authorities said the woman shot at officers at least three more times during the pursuit along Highway 87.

The SUV exited onCurtner Avenue and the suspects abandoned their vehicle. Thats when they spotted the UPS driver walking, and forced him at gunpoint to get into his box truck and drive, according to Garcia.

San Jose police then joined sheriffs deputies in the chase. The UPS driver eventually took the exit on Skyport Drive and the pursuit turned into an intense standoff on North First Street and Trimble Road.

A dispatch call from thestandoffconfirmed what friends of the suspect told law enforcement officials, that he didnt want to live through the confrontation with officers.

"The suspect also said that he wanted to die tonight," an officer can be heard telling the dispatch center in the call before Morasky was eventually shot and killed by police after he ran from aUPS truck he allegedly hijacked with a shotgun.

Several of Moraskys friends had been talking with him on the phone, trying to calm the situation.

"He was scared," friend Amanda Bazzani said. "He called me and said, I love you, Im in a standoff. And then he was saying goodbye, and I was like, No, no, dont say that."

Macy Rogers was released from the UPS box truck and taken into custody, according to officials. The unidentified UPS driver who was taken hostage was safely released.

Chief Garcia said Macy Rogers was charged withattempted murder, car jacking, kidnapping and shooting at occupied vehicles.

Morasky ran out of the truck with a shotgun and was shot by a San Jose police officer. Investigators later made a grim discovery in the SUV Morasky and Macy Rogers were driving. "They had the loaded shotgun of course, additional shotgun shells, but also duct tape, a machete and zip ties." Sheriff Laurie Smith said.

Morasky was on parole from armed robbery and carjacking charges. He was sentenced to five years in prison, and served four years in 2012, according to Garcia.

The officer who shot and killed Morasky has been placed on paid administrative leave. Internal Affairs and the District Attorneys office continue to investigate the incident.

In fact, Meghan Markle already has a very sentimental gift for her little king. Find out what gift Meghan Markle wants to give her daughter one day

Do Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a boy or a girl? It is a tradition in the royal family to wait until the arrival of a baby to find out the sex

However, many speculated that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have found out if they have a boy or girl at the 20-week mark (or earlier)

The Duchess of Sussex recently confirmed that the rumors do not apply. When she attended the Endeavor Fund Awards, Meghan Markle said, "We do not know," when asked about the gender of her firstborn

"We decided to keep it a secret," she confirmed. Like Kate Middleton and other royal women before her (with the exception of Princess Diana, who was said to have known Prince Harry's sex before they arrived), Meghan Markle and Prince Harry will find out if they're on a king's future date of birth

Both Want a Daughter Though, of course, they would be happy both ways, both the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex have both shared their hopes for a daughter separately

Following the announcement of her pregnancy last year, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited their first royal tour in Australia

There, a fan told Prince Harry, "I hope it's a girl!" He replied, "Me too!" Before Meghan Markle joined the royal family, she also thought of having a daughter

The former actress even has a special gift for her future princess. The Gift of Meghan Markle to Her Daughter When her television series Suits began her third season, the former American actress celebrated a major role

She invested in a French Cartier watch. "When I found out that Suits had been picked up for our third season – which felt like a milestone at the time – I totally decided and bought the two-color version," said the Duchess Hello! Magazine

In honor of her hard work, she left the watch with "To M.M. From MM and said, "I intend to give it to my daughter someday

" When Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have a daughter, she has access to a catalog of Crown Jewels as well as pieces from the jewelry collection of her deceased grandmother (Princess Diana) – half of which belongs to Prince Harry

However, the watch is a symbol of something that Meghan Markle is likely to pass on to her future daughter

A feminist and women's rights advocate, the Duchess of Sussex is likely to pass on her passions to her little Sussex princess

She'll also teach her about hard work – that's how Meghan Markle got the watch – and proud of her achievements

For Some 2020 Democrats, Rejection of Amazon Aligns With Far Left Policy Views The New York Times - Duration: 5:36.

For Some 2020 Democrats, Rejection of Amazon Aligns With Far Left Policy Views The New York Times

By and

The decision by Amazon this week to abandon its planned headquarters in New York City tapped into one of the major themes of left wing Democrats: that giant corporations — and in some cases the billionaires who run them — must be held to account for wage inequality, corporate greed and middle class stagnation.

And some contenders and would be contenders for the partys 2020 presidential nomination were quick to take a victory lap over the retailers sudden reversal.

The economic incentives offered the company amounted to no more than taxpayer bribes, said Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, who accused Amazon of holding American democracy hostage.

. – one of the wealthiest companies on the planet – just walked away from billions in taxpayer bribes, all because some elected officials in New York arent sucking up to them enough. How long will we allow giant corporations to hold our democracy hostage?

Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont, to tax companies that he says underpay employees, congratulated New Yorkers for standing up to the power of Amazon.

Their blunt condemnation of Amazon underscores the extent to which this has become an animating issue for the far left. And their reaction is one act in a broader set of 2020 issues for progressive Democrats that includes the Green New Deal, which proposes far reaching federal intervention in the economy to tackle climate change, and the determination to rein in leviathan tech companies, whose founders have lost their luster as heroes of a new economy.

Candidates and potential candidates perceived as more centrist did not immediately weigh in, reflecting one of the fault lines in a Democratic Party wrestling over who is the best standard bearer to suit up for a coming titanic struggle with President Trump. Some candidates, like Senators Cory Booker of New Jersey and Kamala Harris of California, have deeper connections to tech companies.

The views of centrists may have been channeled by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo of New York, for putting their own narrow political interests above their community.

[Check out the Democratic field .]

The on Thursday meant the companys promise of 25,000 jobs in New York City would be unfulfilled over opposition to the city and states offer of dollar 3 billion in tax incentives, which highlighted the practice of luring businesses to states and cities with promises of big tax breaks.

There are large questions philosophically about whether taxpayers should give billions of dollars to billionaires, said Gordon Hintz, the Democratic minority leader of the Wisconsin State Assembly, who is a critic of a state deal in 2017 to with dollar 4 billion in taxpayer subsidies.

Theres frustration in the public right now where wealth is being concentrated, the opportunities for economic mobility are lower, and they see the people who receive these deals seemingly unconcerned with their reality, he added.

Wisconsin, a battleground state that Mr. Trump narrowly won in 2016 as part of his appeal to white blue collar voters, is certain to be a crossroads of national Democratic contenders ahead of 2020, as they try to win back some of those voters and excite others who stayed home. That Mr. Trump played a role in the Foxconn deal — and jumped in again recently when the Taiwan based company wavered — is a ready made target for Democrats inclined to criticize corporate giveaways.

Mr. Hintz said the issue played a role in of Gov. Scott Walker, a Republican.

Even as New York sent Amazon packing, other cities and regions renewed their courtship of the company. On Thursday, Newark officials sent a courier in red to deliver a giant heart shaped card to the company bearing the Valentines Day message that the city and New Jersey still love u, Amazon!

[Make sense of the people, issues and ideas ]

Mr. Booker, who is seeking the Democratic nomination, has made no comment on the deal. A Democratic county chairman in Iowa, Kurt Meyer, who put Mr. Booker up overnight on a recent swing through the state, predicted that criticisms of large corporations would feature in appeals to the party base there, which is more progressive than in many states. Iowas dollar 208 million in incentives for an Apple data center near Des Moines with just 50 jobs was debated in last years midterm elections.

I suspect the issue will be exploited extensively in Iowa, due in part to our vague but distinct sense of economic insecurity, which, while unrelated to Amazon and Apple, is pretty dry tinder, Mr. Meyer said.

At a CNN town hall in Iowa last month, Ms. Harris was asked if the existence of multibillionaires was morally defensible. She replied that was unconscionable for giving breaks to corporations and those in the top 1 percent but excluding working families.

Amazons decision to cancel its deal with New York also comes at a time when prominent Democratic lawmakers in Washington are crafting legislation and advocating policies that could constrain or even break up large technology companies.

In the past two years, big scandals in the technology sector have made privacy and the security of social media networks hotly debated issues. Russian entities used Facebooks network to try and influence the 2016 presidential election. The revealed that Facebook users data had been misused.

Senator Amy Klobuchar, a Minnesota Democrat and candidate for president, is sponsoring a bill about who is paying for online political advertising. Ms. Warren supports antitrust policies. Mr. Sanderss Stop BEZOS Act, named for the chief executive of Amazon, Jeff Bezos, would tax corporations whose low wage workers find it necessary to rely on food stamps and government health care benefits.

The push to step up regulation may have support among the public. In a Pew Research , 55 percent of the respondents said technology companies had too much power and influence, compared with 37 percent who said the firms had the right amount.

But not every party official believes in shaming corporate chieftains and corporations.

In northeast Ohio, Representative Tim Ryan, a Democrat with the shutdown of a plant making the Chevrolet Cruze, on Friday imploring Amazon to build a second headquarters there.

Mr. Ryan, in an interview, predicted that everyone at the basketball game he planned to attend Friday night at Howland High School, where his daughter is a cheerleader, would be talking about how to lure Amazon and its jobs to the area.

Ohio is a swing state that Democrats, including Senator Sherrod Brown, who is weighing a presidential bid, would like to win back in 2020.

It doesnt serve us well to be hostile to business in general, Mr. Ryan said. We need them. We cant reverse climate change. We cant rebuild manufacturing. We cant retool work force development without a partnership with the free enterprise system.

Bill Weld Will Challenge Trump for 2020 Republican Nomination The New York Times - Duration: 3:41.

Bill Weld Will Challenge Trump for 2020 Republican Nomination The New York Times

William F. Weld, the maverick former governor of Massachusetts, announced on Friday that he would form an exploratory committee to challenge President Trump for the Republican Partys 2020 nomination, presenting himself as a dissident voice in a political party that has abandoned its mainstream roots.

[Make sense of the people, issues and ideas ]

Mr. Weld, 73, is the first Republican to announce he will run against the president. But Mr. Weld is unlikely to pose a major threat to Mr. Trump and he is in some ways an incongruous figure to leap into the presidential fray. Mr. Weld is a moderate Republican who ran for vice president in 2016 on the Libertarian ticket. His candidacy might be more of an act of protest than a conventional national campaign.

But appearing in New Hampshire, Mr. Weld called it a moral duty to stand against the hard heart, closed mind and clenched fist of nativism and nationalism.

I hope to see the Republican Party assume once again the mantle of being the party of Lincoln, Mr. Weld said, . It upsets me that our energies as a society are being sapped by the presidents culture of divisiveness of Washington.

He continued: We cannot sit passively as our precious democracy slips quietly into darkness.

Mr. Weld had made little secret in recent months of his interest in challenging Mr. Trump in 2020, either by running for the Libertarian Partys nomination or by contesting the Republican presidential primaries. He met repeatedly with Republicans organizing opposition to the president, and earlier this month he was reported to have changed his voter registration back to Republican.

Several other Republicans are contemplating challenges to Mr. Trump in the primaries, including Gov. Larry Hogan of Maryland and former Gov. John Kasich of Ohio. Mr. Trumps aides have taken the threat of a primary challenge seriously enough to undertake a close review of and to begin scrutinizing state party chairs and potential convention delegates for political loyalty.

But Mr. Trump and his allies have largely declined to go after potential primary rivals in public, trusting that his solid approval ratings with Republicans will insulate him and declining to issue vocal attacks that could have the effect of elevating a challenger.

Mr. Weld, a former federal prosecutor from a prominent Boston family, has spent most of his career as the kind of Republican that used to dominate politics across the Northeast. A fiscal conservative who has long supported gay rights and abortion rights, Mr. Weld could have some appeal to moderate Republicans who feel alienated from their party as it continues to swing far to the right.

But partisan Republicans also have ample reason to regard Mr. Weld with suspicion. He endorsed Barack Obama for president in 2008 over John McCain, before flipping back to the Republican side in 2012 when his friend and longtime ally, Mitt Romney, was the G.O.P. nominee.

Mr. Weld then backed Jeb Bush in the 2016 Republican primaries, before defecting to the Libertarian Party to become the running mate of Gary Johnson, the former governor of New Mexico. The two won a little over 3 percent of the vote.

Mr. Weld explained his decision to run that year as a function of his horror over Mr. Trumps candidacy, comparing Mr. Trumps rhetoric about immigration to .

It is no accident that Mr. Weld unveiled his tentative plan to run for president in New Hampshire, where there is still a sizable community of Republican centrists and independent voters are permitted to vote in partisan primaries.

Mr. Weld has some experience with insurgent presidential primary challenges in New Hampshire. In 1992, as a fresh faced governor from next door, Mr. Weld campaigned in the state to help President George H.W. Bush turn back a challenge from Pat Buchanan, a hard right nationalist in the mold of Mr. Trump. Mr. Bush defeated Mr. Buchanan, but the conservative commentators showing in New Hampshire helped sustain his activist campaign nationally and hobbled the presidents re election.

A New Hampshire contest between Mr. Trump and Mr. Weld would effectively reverse the roles from 1992 — with the fire breathing immigration hawk as president, and the low key aristocrat as his gadfly challenger.

Cassie Smedile, a spokeswoman for the Republican National Committee, dismissed Mr. Weld and any other challengers who might emerge, citing Mr. Trumps popularity with Republicans and his long list of incredible accomplishments for conservatives and the country.

The R.N.C. and the Republican Party are firmly behind the president, she said. Any effort to challenge the presidents nomination is bound to go absolutely nowhere.

Melrose Place Actress to Serve More Time for Fatal Crash NBC New York

A former "Melrose Place" actress was sentenced Friday to more prison time for a fatal 2010 auto accident by a judge who appeared at times reluctant to follow the guidelines set by an appeals court that had ruled her initial sentence and a second sentence were too lenient.

Amy Locane was given five years behind bars, but likely will serve about 20 months if her next appeal fails, her attorney, James Wronko, said afterward. Locane left court without commenting to reporters and is seeking to be free on bail pending her appeal.

She served about two and a half years of a three year sentence before her 2015 release and has completed a three year parole term.

State Superior Court Judge Kevin Shanahan appeared to be sympathetic to Wronkos argument that double jeopardy should apply and void the resentencing, but ultimately he followed the appellate courts instructions. He praised fellow judge Robert Reed, who imposed the initial sentences, as a respected jurist, but said Reed "made two very serious mistakes here and all have suffered for it."

An appeals court ordered Locane to be re sentenced after determining the sentences imposed by Reed were insufficient for the crash that killed 60 year old Helene Seeman and seriously injured Seemans husband, Fred Seeman. Locane smashed into their SUV as they were turning not their driveway.

Locanes blood alcohol level was likely about three times the legal limit for driving at the time of the crash, according to a state expert.

"There is not a day that has gone by that I have not thought of the pain that my actions caused the Seeman family and of course Helene Seeman," Locane said in court Friday. "I have worked very hard to correct that behavior and not be that person who did that on that day."

Locane, who was convicted of vehicular manslaughter and other offenses, had faced up to 10 years on the most serious count.

Fred Seeman sobbed as he told the judge how the crash ripped his family apart and how he nearly died from his injuries. He lashed out at Reed for "elevating the suffering of defendants children above what we have suffered and continue to suffer."

Reed had cited Locanes young children, including one daughter diagnosed with Crohns disease, as a mitigating factor in his sentencing. Locanes defense contended the crash was an accident and that a third motorist, whose car the actress had bumped into at a traffic light before the accident, distracted her by honking at her and chasing her after being rear ended.

Though the indictment charging Locane didnt mention intoxication, a state expert testified her blood alcohol level was likely three times the legal limit for driving, and that she was speeding about 53 mph in a 35 mph zone at the time of the crash.

A jury acquitted her of aggravated manslaughter, but convicted her of the lesser offense of vehicular manslaughter a second degree crime that carries a maximum 10 year sentence. But Reed downgraded that to a third degree offense and imposed the lightest sentence available.

That prompted an appeals court in 2016 to order a re sentencing. The panel instructed Reed to offer additional justification for his decision to downgrade the charge.

After Reed gave Locane essentially the same prison sentence in 2017, an appeals court wrote last year that the sentence was "a hairs breath away from illegal," and ordered the lower court to try yet again.

Locane acted in 13 episodes of the popular Fox series and also appeared in several movies, including "Cry Baby" with Johnny Depp.

Rita Ora hit rock bottom after being attacked for bisexual lyrics in Girls song - Duration: 4:28.

Rita Ora has revealed she hit rock bottom after being attacked over her song about being bisexual

The feisty singer released hit track Girls last year, in which she spoke of wanting to kiss women

But she was plunged into despair by a backlash from other performers who thought she was jumping on a bandwagon to sell records

Asked what her toughest moment had been over the last couple of years, Rita, 28, said: "For me it was when I released Girls

"In my head, females were a big part of my growth, interaction with the same sex

"When I was younger I was very experimental – in my late teens, early 20s – so I wanted to make a song about girls who may have been confused about who they are

"But when it came out I think people looked at it, because they didn't know about my experience, like I was using the culture – which was understandable

"I never looked at it like that because I knew I'd experienced it. But I forgot that nobody else knew that

" The singer has had a string of high-profile boyfriends, but has never publicly confirmed speculation she had a relationship with model Cara Delevingne

She and close pal Cara, 26, holidayed together in Malibu and often speak of each other as "wifey"

Rita was joined on the record by singers Cardi B, Bebe Rexha and Charli XCX. Her lyrics include the lines, "I ain't one sided, I'm open-minded, I'm 50-50 and I'm never gonna hide it", and a chorus of, "Red wine, I just wanna kiss girls, girls, girls

" She explained: "Cardi B and Charli and Bebe all had their own connection to the record

So for us it was a girl-empowering moment to support each other. "It wasn't just me that got the s*** for it but it was my song – so I felt like it was my responsibility to make sure the message was clear

" Gay singer Hayley Kiyoko, 27, said the song "belittles the feelings of an entire community" with the suggestion they were stirred only by alcohol

She added: "A song like this fuels the male gaze, marginalising the idea of women loving women

" And avowedly queer R&B singer Kehlani, 23 – who worked with Cardi B on the rapper's debut album – criticised the song for its "awkward slurs, quotes and moments"

After the backlash, Rita came out as bisexual and apologised – saying the song as written to represent her "truth"

Looking back on the furore, she said: "I guess some girls in the industry didn't find it supportive

"But I definitely didn't mean one bad intention. The fact I survived that made me so happy, because it was pretty dark

It's like making a baby, putting it out in the world then it getting brutally attacked

" Now the UK star, born in Albania, says she is proud to speak about her sexuality

She told US podcast What's the Tee: "I'm happy I did it. In my culture, speaking out of the box is what we want to do

"To be able to speak about my sexuality with men from my country that are so caught in the old-school ways, it was a big revolution

" Adding she feels lucky surrounded by people who love her, she said: "It makes me want to make them proud every day

"
