The secret library is aloft and the tale of miss nettle

The tale of miss nettle

There is a far-off land for many years not a single flower grew in freezenberg

not one Lily or rosebud double something remarkable a flower strong enough to pierce through snow and ice the

beautiful year with a winter flower festival

in fact

The festival is supposed to take place on the all the snowdrops if Miss nettle succeeds in taking them all there will be no

Don't worry we have magic too

Hey there, that will give me and minimus a chance to swoop in close and grab the stolen snowdrops right wait

And

What did you say

Why are they talking to me? It must say miss nettles crazy crystals. I remember when she put them on. Mr

Cedric's wand and messed up his met her

Even if they find her maybe a princess is coming to help

Colder here

It's like a purple reindeer with wings and no Aunt Linda, I'm not sure where she went though or where I am

Where am I? Oh no, I think my amulet brought you here by mistake

It usually brings the princess to give advice and give you advice

Really? Mm-hmm

We the princesses go back where they came from oh

By then good luck with them. I'm still here. It's because my amulets not working, right?

I'm so soft. This is getting worse and worse

Now I need to stop miss nettle from ruining the flower festival

Okay. Oh, right. What do we do first? I guess we have to find miss nettle

Cover as much ground as possible

Oh

Look at Karen Oh

Where did he go?

Either the whole year. I'll find a flower for you. I

Still have no idea where she went

Even if we find miss nettle and honor doesn't have any powers except that she never gives up and she has it

I guess I have to try that's the spirit. Now. Let's go find that wicked fairy her festival

I have terrible news the snowdrops are vanishing. It's okay. We know who took them

Are you sure she's not the wicked fairy?

Hildegard about the flower. Have you seen her? No, I've been looking all over the kingdom for flowers and I haven't seen anything

What do you mean nor must? Well, we still have a few growing royal gardens near the castle wherever there are flowers

We'll find miss nettle. I'm going back to the castle. I've got to tell daddy about this work bugs

See another wicked fairy

That doesn't look right

Because these flowers mean so much to the people of freezenberg well, oh you poor misunderstood wicked fairy

I can't let you do it I

Can't get free

Why is that the brave side because no maybe she'll be happy like when Elsa saw how much honour loved and I almost

Melted you're right Olaf. I've been thinking about this all wrong

Don't be sad Sofia. You almost made a happy ending. I know but

What my father was just about to cancel it, I don't know why that evil fairy stole

Oh, it really hurt miss nettles feelings that no one ever thanked her for the flower. I'm hoping well

I'm not sure exactly where she is she flew off as soon as she got all the snowdrops

Can I have one? Did you say miss? Nettle didn't take all the snow tops. Uh-huh. She missed this one right here

We can use this to get miss nettle to come back. Don't call off the festival yet your majesty

Just tell everyone to gather here

Very talented fairy who created up in love in snowdrop

Is the creator of the beautiful snowdrop the only flower strong enough to grow in a fair frozen flower

I have ever seen it's the first flower every child learns to draw

Giving us so much. Joy for so many years on this festive day. I owe you

Thank you

return salmon, uh

Uh will only accept the snowdrops back always remember the kind fairy who gave them to us

Thank you for all that you did Sofia ever since your crazy crystals fell on my amulets it's been acting funny

I'm going back to my

Working again, I'm so happy

Probably be able to go home now. Oh

I guess that's great too. What's wrong? You're giving up are more important than having magical powers

That's just about the best advice I've ever I will

What's happening, I think you're going back

Nettle came to celebrate their winter flower festival together so that all could enjoy

All the right moves

Huh, baby, dear

Look who's here, three carats garage and indoor jousting court game, and we've been told it has a fairy

What's wrong Vivian your New Castle sounds really nice. But I love this car. Nothing could be as great as this

It's my favorite place in the whole world

Sometimes I spend all day play together and you won't have to think about moving. Actually, I'd really like that

Hold on here we go

This is my friend Vivian any friend of Sofia's is a friend of ours, so hi new friend I'm button

Well when I first met them, I let them in my castle and they made a huge mess knocked over the cake

Oh, so now we live out here, which is much better for everyone

hmm

So do you guys think you could help me out with a little problem?

Oh, I'm sure and I really really don't want to move there

You think you could make enough trouble in this new castle Thanks

Or fill the whole place up with Creek or there's the old classic we can make it seem like a haunted castle

Hi Vivian. Thanks for coming Sofia. I'm so glad you could help me move in today

I missed you so much since yesterday, so can I show you around?

To the God in crack or oh, no. I have to check something you up

Hey, would you mind carrying us in not at all hop on?

You can put that down right here did you do that No

How To Choose The Right Team For Your Dream - Duration: 2:53.

Company grows, as your brand grows,

there will be so many people approaching you,

wanting to join your team,

wanting to work with you or work for you.

Now one of the things that I do

when it comes to leadership is this.

That how do you differentiate

which one is good and which one is bad?

How do you differentiate what opportunity

to pursue, what opportunity you should avoid?

'Cause there's always an opportunity cost.

Also, how do you know which is

actually a superstar, which is just a talker?

Now one of the things that I do when it comes

to bringing new people on board,

and that could be an employee, could be a contractor,

it could be a salesperson,

it could be any of the roles that you might have.

What I like to do is imagine that that person's a jockey.

How do you know if the jockey will perform well in a race?

What I do is I will always give them a lame horse first.

That's right, a lame horse.

I'll give you a perfect example.

So one of the key team members that we have now,

Blake, who's my director, first he comes in the company,

he want to help me to boost my Instagram following.

At that time I only had a

few thousand followers on Instagram.

So I wasn't paying a lot of attention to it,

I'm like, I was a little bit skeptical.

Would this work?

Would this not work?

And Blake came up with this amazing proposal and plan.

I said okay, run with it.

Now in the beginning I didn't give him a lot of resources.

I didn't give him any manpower.

I said do what you could.

I gave him very, very little.

He was asking me to even get some new photos for Instagram.

I said no, take whatever I have, see what you can do.

And he was able to do so much with so little,

be able to grow the Instagram following

as well as generate revenue for the company

with very, very little resources.

Now that' a lame horse, right?

I gave a good jockey a lame horse.

See how far he could go, right?

And afterwards I say okay, this is pretty good.

Let me give you some more resources,

let me give you some more capital,

let me give you more support.

Then I bring on different people,

some of the smartest people when it comes to Instagram

to help us with our account, to help us with our strategy.

I gave him a lot of that kind of support,

plus money, plus giving him money to do shout outs

and collaboration with other Instagrammers,

And from there we grew thousands and tens of thousands,

and soon a million followers on Instagram.

That's what I do.

See when you give someone a lame horse,

a good jockey, they can make it work.

They will find a way because it's never a lack of resources,

it's always a lack of resourcefulness.

Then when you give them a winning horse, a good horse,

the jockey will take it and then win championships for you.

Southern Wisconsins recent brutal stretch of weather will continue over the next several days with snowstorms hitting the area Sunday and Tuesday night into Wednesday, according to forecasters.

The National Weather Service said light snow will spread into southern Wisconsin on Sunday starting in the southwest about 2 a.m., the Madison area about 4 a.m., and to the east about 6 a.m.

Light snow will continue into Sunday evening, with 2 to 4 inches expected, and a few locations seeing 5 inches.

The storm Tuesday night into Wednesday also will feature accumulating snow, but no possible totals were provided by the Weather Service.

The first storm system is coming from the northwestern U.S., and the other will swing up from the Gulf of Mexico, Alex Sosnowski, AccuWeather senior meteorologist, said in a news release.

The first storm will be somewhat starved of moisture and may have gaps in the precipitation across areas from the Midwest to the Northeast as a result, Sosnowski said.

Tapping moisture from the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean, the second storm will bring areas of heavy snow, ice and rain, as it rolls northeastward from the Gulf coast on Tuesday, and it will track along or just west of the Appalachians on Wednesday and then exit the Northeast on Thursday.

A swath of snow is likely to extend from parts of northwestern Texas to northern Illinois, Wisconsin, northern Michigan, northern New York state and northern New England, Sosnowski said, adding that areas to the south and east could see significant ice and rain.

In Madison on Saturday, look for mostly sunny skies, a high near 24 and north winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour turning out of the east in the afternoon and producing wind chill values of zero to 10, the Weather Service said.

The overnight low should be around 18, with snow showers mainly after 4 a.m. and accumulation of less than an inch.

Sundays forecast features snow showers before noon, then snow after noon, with 1 to 2 inches of snow possible, a high near 26 and east winds at 10 to 15 mph.

Snow is likely to continue overnight Sunday into Monday, mainly before midnight, with less than an inch possible as the low falls to around 14.

The Weather Service said theres a 60 percent chance for snow early Wednesday, a 70 percent chance on Wednesday, and a 40 percent chance Wednesday night, before quiet weather returns.

Skies over Madison should be mostly cloudy Monday, partly sunny Tuesday, cloud Wednesday, partly sunny Thursday, and mostly sunny Friday, with highs near 23, 25, 28, 29 and 32, and lows Monday night through Thursday night around 6, 15, 18 and 14.

27 Storm Track meteorologist Guy Brown forecasts light snow developing overnight and continuing Sunday, with accumulation of 1 to 3 inches, highest to the south and west of Madison; a few flurries Monday; light snow developing Tuesday night and continuing into Wednesday; and then quiet weather the rest fo the week.

Brown said skies over Madison should be partly sunny Saturday, cloudy Sunday, mostly cloudy Monday, partly sunny Tuesday, cloudy Wednesday, partly sunny Thursday and Friday, and cloudy next Saturday, with highs near 26, 28, 23, 24, 31, 35, 35 and 37, and overnight lows around 18, 14, 8, 14, 17, 16, 20 and 20.

Illinois Worker Who Opened Fire Inside Factory Had No Permit for Gun The New York Times - Duration: 3:42.

Illinois Worker Who Opened Fire Inside Factory Had No Permit for Gun The New York Times

AURORA, Ill. — An angry worker who opened fire inside a suburban Chicago factory where he had worked for years was barred from having the handgun he was carrying, officials said on Saturday.

Gary Martin, 45, who died in an exchange of fire with the police after a rampage on Friday that and at least six other people wounded, had already had his state weapons permit revoked because of a felony assault conviction from years earlier, the police in Aurora, Ill., said. Still, they said, his gun was never taken away.

Some disgruntled person walked in and had access to a firearm that he shouldnt have had access to, said Kristen L. Ziman, the chief of police in Aurora, where the shooting took place.

Ms. Ziman said that the police were trying to determine why Mr. Martin still had a gun.

According to Illinois gun law, a person must be granted a Firearm Owners Identification card, or FOID, to possess a firearm. At least two million people in the state have the cards.

But under the law, the process to keep firearms out of the hands of a person whose card has been revoked is weak, allowing many people to keep their weapons with little threat of enforcement or penalty.

That appears to have been the case with Mr. Martin, who police said received a card in January 2014. In March 2014, he applied for a concealed carry permit, and during that background check it was discovered that he had a felony conviction for aggravated assault in Mississippi from 1995.

The Illinois State Police then revoked Mr. Martins card and mailed him a letter ordering him to relinquish his firearm and card within 48 hours.

It is typical in Illinois, officials said, for local law enforcement to fail to take action at that point and to seize firearms if they are not surrendered voluntarily. In 2016, only about 4,000 of the 11,000 people whose cards were revoked submitted the mandatory reports explaining what they did with their guns, The Chicago Tribune reported in 2017.

Sgt. Bill Rowley, a spokesman for the Aurora Police Department, said the police had no record of being notified by the state police that Mr. Martin had not volunteered his firearm as required in 2014. It was unclear whether Mr. Martin, who lived in Aurora at the time of his death, also lived there in 2014.

A day after the shooting, police gave a fuller account of the deadly events inside the Henry Pratt Company warehouse on Friday afternoon, and identified the five workers — all apparently co workers of Mr. Martin — who were killed.

The victims included some of the companys most experienced workers but also its newest: Josh Pinkard, who was the plant manager of the warehouse, perished in the shooting, as did Trevor Wehner, who was a student at Northern Illinois University and an intern in the companys human resources department. Mr. Wehner was expected to graduate from college in May. Friday, when the shooting occurred, was the first day of his internship, according to officials from Northern Illinois University.

Also killed, the police said, were Vicente Juarez, a stock room attendant and forklift operator; Clayton Parks, the human resources manager; and Russell Beyer, a mold operator. Officials at Northern Illinois said that Mr. Parks had also graduated from the university, in 2014, and said it was offering counseling help to those in need. The school, in DeKalb, Ill., was the site of another .

Police first received several 911 calls at 1:24 p.m. on Friday, as frantic callers said there was a shooter at the warehouse. Mr. Martin had been summoned to what police described as a termination meeting at the warehouse where he had worked for at least 15 years. At least two victims were shot at the scene of that meeting.

Four minutes later, police arrived and were confronted by the gunman. Two of the first four officers to arrive were shot and transported to hospitals with injuries that were not life threatening.

According to the police, Mr. Martin then retreated into the 29,000 square foot building, hiding from officers in a machine shop near the back of the facility. It took about 90 minutes for officers to find, shoot and kill him.

Family members of Mr. Martin arrived at the Aurora police station on Friday afternoon, weeping and hugging one another after officers told them that he was dead.

He was the shooter, said Tameka Martin, who said she was Mr. Martins sister. He shot officers. If they did shoot him and kill him, they were, I guess, defending themselves.

Ms. Martin said that her brother had told his family that he had lost his job at Henry Pratt. At dinner a few nights ago at their mothers home, Mr. Martin would barely speak about it. He was very depressed, she said.

Lili Reinhart Reveals She's Started Therapy for Anxiety and Depression [Hot] - Duration: 4:32.

Lili Reinhart is opening up about her "self-love."  TheRiverdalestar revealed on her Instagram Story on Friday night that she had started therapy again for anxiety and depression

Reinhart, who has been an outspoken about mental health issues in the past, used her own journey to give others the reminder they might need to focus on their own health

"Friendly reminder for anyone who needs to hear it: Therapy is never something to feel ashamed of," she wrote

"Everyone can benefit from seeing a therapist. Doesn't matter how old or 'proud' you're trying to be

"  "We are all human. And we all struggle. Don't suffer in silence," Reinhart continued

"Don't feel embarrassed to ask for help. I'm 22. I have anxiety and depression. And today I started therapy again

And so the journey of self-love begins for me." The actress' post comes just one day after she wished her boyfriend, Cole Sprouse, a happy Valentine's Day, thanking him for making her "very happy

"  Sprouse opened up about his usually-private romance with his co-star-turned-girlfriend in the new issue of GQ

"It's not something that we hide, or it's not something that we show off," he simply said

"It's just something that exists." As for being so open and honest on social media, Reinhart told ET in October that she just wanted to show fans what her life is really like

"I try to [be open] because I'm not putting on a show," she said. "I'm not trying to look perfect

my life in general is not extremely glamorous. I do a lot of really cool and glamorous things, but that's not my day to day

So I like to show off myself as being in my natural habitat, which is pretty much just in my bed, eating

" "Just talking about body consciousness or mental health awareness or just being real

using her social media to be an average girl that happens to be an actress, I think that's great for young viewers that look up to her," Reinhart's onscreen mom, Mädchen Amick, added

Carbon Fiber Wrapping For The Very First Time EVER!!!! - Duration: 14:09.

what's up guys the life of Scott here so I thought it'd be cool to dress up my

chrome with 3d carbon fiber so if the cameras let's see the camera will pick

up we're gonna yeah it's too close so hopefully it's showing it good so we did

a really rough draft putting a piece on so it's a chrome piece I want to do it

more professional I think it's gonna look cool in the car this goes around

the shifter so the shifters in the center here I'll for automatic so I'm

gonna go ahead and now put on a piece that I cut out

we cut a square I try to get it as even as I possibly could but I'm not sure

it's gonna work out hopefully it lines up it looks like we're shit loading up

pretty good so what I'll do is I'll put it on and then I'll cut the center out

so stay tuned

all right so what I ended up doing I cut another piece here so it's much bigger

so now I can wrap it around it a whole lot better

okay so put a bigger piece on now so let's take this plastic off so now that

we got a bigger piece on we're going to now cut not even I mean not right up

against it oh we just totally went up against it it slid out from underneath

me that little bugger alright let's see how this works our looks so let's see

this other piece here now so now what we're gonna do is we're gonna go up in

the corner just cut the corners

okay so we got our piece like this now we're gonna take it and fold it up

underneath and it should be enough up underneath oh that's gonna look real

nice sorry guys it's starting to get dark know what hold that little extra

light all right so we're folding it up

now we're gonna fold up this corner as well did I cut the whole way no i dint

so I want to make sure I cut the whole way up to the corner fold this corner as

well up under in here I'll press down more when I get turning it around yeah

we got to go up in this corner the whole way you want to go the whole way up in

the corner okay fold fold fold fold there we go oh that looks so cool oh

this was such a good idea now that it starting to look good oh no what are we

doing here something doesn't look right why is it bubbling oh I see what it did

it's going in the groove it's still okay but it since this is not a flat piece

some of the sticky went down in but it should be should look fine

fold up fold up okay that corner and fold it up as much as we can each corner

piece okay there we go look at that all right now now we take this piece and I

hope I cut it wide enough it's a little skimpy through here and up here's really

skimpy so

okay now what you're gonna do want to do should have a good scissors but razor

blade will work fine because you want to cut up just like you did in the corner

here put that razor down in the corner I shouldn't be doing this

on light place thing but you should do this on something that you don't care if

it cuts through all right now we're folding now we're taking the top here

and we're folding it down folding it down and you want to press away from you

when you're folding it so it doesn't leave any bubbles folding it down

folding it down again it's better to over cut okay so you see out sticking

out here we have X XS we don't want that you know what actually we do we're going

to keep that we're gonna twist it underneath it doesn't matter see how I

did doesn't matter if it's over because we can tape that down when we're done

here so fold it underneath it fold it underneath it take it and fold it

underneath it the side doesn't seem to be sticking we might not okay it's doing

a lot better up in here still got to get better in these corners we need to do

better but for the most part you know I mean it's not like this is a super

professional job you know there's air bubbles in the grooves that's what I'm

seeing right in through here that ain't a big deal all right so let's

fold everything else down now

okay

good there we go so that's how it looks in person that looks a whole lot better

those air bubbles do kind of set the look off a little bit but we could take

a very this smallest pin we can find and perk that if we need to okay so now on

the side here I actually should have gone big or I should have cut an even

bigger piece out because it's not sticking exactly on some of these sides

now what I'm going to do is I'm going to take tape clear tape and under on the

bottom here tape all these corners down so they don't come up just like this I'm

going to run a different 3m newer 3m tape it came with 3m tape on it but I'm

gonna just put my own 3m tape

okay so because I cut it too short and that thing just keeps dropping because I

cut it too short we now have to tape a little bit on this corner here so we

actually need to put in another piece tape over them that overlaps this just a

little bit and we're going to put this side where you can't see then this is

kind of hard and hold propping it up and doing it at the same time

it's hard to tell I mean from far away silver alright let's finish okay again

like I said I'm actually you know this is just learning to do this I'm not I'm

not good and I've never done carbon fiber in my life I've never installed it

on anything so this was the first time doing anything like this alright I'm not

happy with the corners corners are sticking out so we're going to cut it

cut those corners off

doesn't want to stay it's not 100% perfect but it's pretty good I mean for

someone who's never rapped carbon-fibre on anything I'm pretty happy with my job

so my biggest issue is because of the design of the actual metal because it

wasn't smooth you can see air bubbles call it like writing can you see it

right in there we can take a pin and prick that to release them air and the

pressure so something that's fine like this we're gonna bend this one cuz we

don't need it but I'm wondering if we prick it if it's gonna release more air

I mean if more air is gonna get eventually get inside Pro it should be

fun

well no I think it's good the way it is so it's gonna look better if you if you

got a smooth metal wrapping it's gonna look a lot better but I think it looks

pretty good thank you guys for watching

you

what's up guys just want to point out so I did release the air with a little pin

and it definitely made it better so I'm very happy with that and I'm happy with

how it turned out take care guys

you

Man City News - Riyad Mahrez will struggle for minutes after his performance - Duration: 2:55.

Riyad Mahrez is a man desperate for minutes — but not these minutes. Not on a field of mud, not up against lower league defenders who have no qualms letting him know they are around

What else could Manchester City do, though? Choosing not to play their £60million record signing, who last started a Premier League game on December 30, would have been some statement

Just get out there and get on with it.A hostile Rodney Parade in difficult conditions for flair players is not the environment somebody of the Algerian's ilk relishes

Yet that should not really matter. Mahrez's destiny is in his own hands.  It is up to him whether he forces a way into Pep Guardiola's plans

At the moment, he is nowhere close. More than a few around the club are querying why they committed so much money on him last summer rather than spend extra on a central midfielder or left back

There are reasons for that — the debacle surrounding Jorginho, for one — but bog-standard displays like this will do nothing to silence those doubters

A goal for Mahrez in stoppage time, with the Premier League champions already leading 3-1, should not change that feeling

Guardiola claimed before this FA Cup tie that Mahrez has done nothing wrong, just that those in front of him are in superior form

It is hard not to feel for the 27-year-old. To watch young Phil Foden seemingly mentor him as City headed into the break goalless was striking

This is a man who has lifted the PFA Player of the Year award, remember. If that was an eye-opener, so too was the look of exasperation David Silva wore after the pair fluffed a routine free-kick

What painted an even clearer picture of exactly where Mahrez stands at the club came as City broke at pace before half time — four men pouring forward, only to find their outlet on the left 10 yards behind where Guardiola would demand

The move faltered.Perhaps this was further evidence of why Mahrez currently sits down the pecking order

Church of England clears the way for first female Archbishop by rewriting laws - Duration: 3:19.

The Church of England has edged closer to the appointment of its first woman Archbishop

A sweep to remove potential barriers from the path of any woman promoted to the highest leadership of the CofE is to be carried out by the Church's parliament later this month

Among changes set to be approved by the General Synod are legal rules which refer to the two Archbishops of Canterbury and York as men

The alterations to the 50-year-old constitution of the Synod come as the job of Archbishop of York, second in the hierarchy of the Church, is about to fall vacant

The Most Reverend John Sentamu is to step down in the summer of 2020.While the process for choosing a successor has yet to begin, the selection of a female candidate is considered highly likely

The CofE has picked a string of female bishops since the doors to the episcopacy were opened to women in 2014

Legal wording that could be interpreted as excluding women from the two most senior posts is contained in clauses of the Synod constitution that set out Archbishop powers

One passage gives Archbishops the right to take charge of Synod proceedings. It states: 'The Archbishops of Canterbury and York shall be joint Presidents of the General Synod, and they shall determine the occasions on which it is desirable that one of the Presidents shall be chairman of a meeting of the General Synod

' Another clause says Synod voting procedures can be simplified 'by permission of the chairman'

The removal of the male-only language is to be put before the Synod as one point of a bundle of new Church laws

Billed as the 'replacement of outdated terms', it says the words 'chairman' and 'vice-chairman' should be changed to 'chair' and 'vice chair'

The CofE yesterday said language in new documents has been modernised to include gender-neutral terms since 2004, and older documents are updated 'where opportunity presents itself'

Abortion opponents in Alabama aim for outright ban al.com - Duration: 7:30.

Abortion opponents in Alabama aim for outright ban al.com

Anti abortion advocates in Alabama are changing their approach from trying to restrict abortion through regulatory bills to a push for an outright ban.

Birmingham attorney Eric Johnston, president of the Alabama Pro Life Coalition, said the coalition supports legislation that could lead to a challenge of the Roe v. Wade decision in the U.S. Supreme Court. Johnston said the appointments of Justices Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh raise the potential that the court could reverse the 1973 abortion rights decision.

Alabama lawmakers have passed about a half dozen bills to restrict abortion since Republicans took control of the Legislature in 2011. Some are in effect. Federal courts blocked others. But Johnston said the era of fighting abortion through those incremental regulatory steps is fading.

The Legislature should concentrate on prohibiting abortion, not regulating it, Johnston said in an email.

Johnston said the Pro Life Coalition is working with others on specific language in a bill. He expects a bill that would make abortion a crime.

The operative part of the bill would be to make abortion a felony, Johnston said. In other words, it would be murder.

The legislative session starts March 5.

The Alabama Pro Life Coalition, formed in 1990, includes the Eagle Forum, the Alabama Policy Institute, the Alabama Citizens Action Program, Alabama Citizens for Life and others, Johnston said.

Randall Marshall, executive director of the American Civil Liberties Union of Alabama, said an Alabama abortion ban would likely be futile and costly to the state. Marshall said hes not surprised at the idea given the changes on the court.

But I would say for the Legislature It would be a pretty useless move to rush to pass this kind of bill because whats going to happen is if they passed a bill like that, it would be immediately enjoined by a federal court, Marshall said. And it would be at least a couple of years, a year or two years, before it would get to the Supreme Court. And there are already cases pending before the Supreme Court, including one from Alabama, that deal with the continuing validity of the whole line of cases that preserve access to abortion care.

The Alabama case concerns a ban on a second trimester procedure called dilation and evacuation, or dismemberment abortion. Attorney General Steve Marshall has asked the Supreme Court to review the decision by lower courts to block the 2016 Alabama law.

The ACLU supports abortion rights and has represented plaintiffs in challenges to Alabama abortion laws. Marshall said the state had to pay the ACLU dollar 1.7 million in legal fees after plaintiffs prevailed in a case challenging an Alabama law that required abortion doctors to have hospital admitting privileges.

Every time the Legislature passes an unconstitutional law and we challenge it and win, theyre on the hook for our attorneys fees, Marshall said.

Johnston acknowledges that the federal district court and appeals court would have no option but to block a state abortion ban because Roe v. Wade remains the law of the land. But that would position the state for a potential landmark challenge, he said.

Then ask the Supreme Court, Now, you look at it, youre the only one who can make a difference here, Johnston said.

Elizabeth Nash, senior state issues manager for the Guttmacher Institute, said state legislatures are proposing more abortion legislation since Kavanaugh replaced Justice Anthony Kennedy on the court. Kennedy upheld the basis of Roe v. Wade in a key decision in 1992, Planned Parenthood v. Casey.

What were seeing in more conservative states, generally the South, the Plains, the Midwest, are bills that ban all abortion, ban abortion at 16 weeks, ban abortion at 15 weeks, Nash said. So, sort of the more extreme abortion bans, were seeing those be introduced. And the language around them is about starting that challenge to Roe v. Wade, like being the state that overturns Roe v. Wade is a real interest to those legislators.

The Guttmacher Institute analyzes abortion policies and promotes access to abortion services by making an evidence based case against restrictions that limit its access, the institute states on its website.

In contrast to Alabama and other conservative leaning states, Nash said some states are moving to protect abortion rights, also in anticipation of the Supreme Court overturning or weakening the Roe decision. If that happens, decisions on abortion rights could move to the state level.

A new law in New York says that women have a right an abortion up to 24 weeks after the start of pregnancy, or later if there is absence of fetal viability, or the abortion is necessary to protect the patients life or health.

Were seeing progressive legislators looking to safeguard abortion rights in their states, and conservative legislators looking to overturn abortion rights nationwide, all because of the changes on the Supreme Court, Nash said. All because the Supreme Court is now more conservative.

Last year, Alabama voters approved an amendment to the state constitution that said the state recognizes the rights of the unborn, including the right to life, and that nothing in the state constitution provides the right to an abortion.

Johnston said the amendment is a statement of public policy but has no legal force as long as Roe v. Wade supersedes it.

And if Roe v. Wade is overturned, Alabama would still need a statutory law to ban abortion because the amendment has no operative provisions.

It doesnt require anybody to do or not do anything, Johnston said.

A bill to ban abortions would likely involve changes to Alabamas homicide law, Johnston said. That law includes an exception for abortion because it also defines an unborn child at any stage of development as a person. An abortion ban would remove that exception from the homicide law and make abortion a specific crime, Johnston said.

Johnston said one reason to seek an outright ban is that some incremental approaches, like bills to ban abortion when a fetal heartbeat is detected, have been tried and failed to survive court challenges. Alabama lawmakers have proposed but never passed a fetal heartbeat bill, which Johnston said would essentially ban abortions after about 10 weeks. The Supreme Court blocked North Dakotas fetal heartbeat bill in 2016.

Heartbeat bills are a thing of the past, Johnston said.

Earlier this month, the Supreme Court granted a stay to block a Louisiana law to require abortion doctors to have hospital admitting privileges. The court could still consider a full review of that law.

The Alabama Legislature has added new abortion regulations and restrictions over the years with mixed results in court.

In 2002, the Legislature passed the Womans Right to Know Act, which required women to receive certain information at least 24 hours before an abortion, including specifics on fetal development, abortion alternatives, adoption agencies and responsibilities of the father. It required the doctor to do an ultrasound and for the woman to sign a form saying whether or not she chose to look at the ultrasound. The law remains in effect. A bill in 2014 extended the waiting period to 48 hours.

Since Republicans captured control of the Legislature in 2010, lawmakers have passed abortion restrictions on a fairly regular basis. Some have survived court challenges and some have not.

In 2011, the Legislature passed a bill to prohibit abortions at 20 weeks or later. That law remains in effect.

In 2013, the Legislature approved the Womens Health and Safety Act, which required abortion doctors to have admitting privileges at hospitals in the same city where they perform abortions. Federal courts blocked that provision.

Another part of the Womans Health and Safety Act required abortion clinics to comply with the building requirements of surgical centers, such as wider hallways and doorways. That requirement is in effect.

In 2016, the Legislature passed a bill to ban abortion clinics near public schools. A federal court blocked it.

Also in 2016, lawmakers passed a law restricting dismemberment abortions, which are known by the medical term dilation and evacuation. The federal district court blocked the law and the appeals court upheld that decision. Attorney General Steve Marshall has asked the U.S. Supreme Court to review the case. Twenty one states are supporting Alabamas petition to the court.

The procedure is used in about 7 percent of abortions in Alabama and in almost all abortions after 15 weeks.

A decision by the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade would hinge on the courts recognition of the unborn child as a person, Johnston said.

This whole issue is not about womens rights but about the personhood of the unborn child, Johnston said. Democrats will cast the issue as of womens rights. However, the whole construct of abortion is based only on a perverted and exaggerated idea of sexual privacy. That so called right cannot be taken so far as to deprive a person of his or her life, regardless of his or her age.

Marshall said the question, at least in part, is access to medical care.

Partly its about, do we want the government dictating to anybody what medical care they will or will not receive, Marshall said. We talk about keeping government out of the private lives of individuals in so many things in this country. And yet, thats what theyre arguing for, is that the government gets to decide for any individual what is best for her. I think that is antithetical to our belief system in the United States about the role of government.

As for the assertion that the court should recognize the unborn child as a person, Marshall said, That is an argument is never going to go away. I dont think that theres really ever going to be an agreement. Certainly, from a scientific, factual point of view, at conception, it is not capable of life on its own. And so, thats why the framework is up until the point of viability, there is a greater right in a woman to decide what to do and a lesser interest in the state.

Man Utd make contact over £70m move for Jadon Sancho… Man City would receive huge boost - Duration: 2:37.

But they could be helping their Premier League rivals Manchester City in the process with the youngster having been part of the academy at the Etihad

Sancho, 18, has impressed at Dortmund, having scored eight goals with ten assists from 28 appearances this season

It comes after he made the switch to the Bundesliga club from City for £8million in 2017

The Englishman left the Etihad after failing to receive assurances that he would be given regular game-time

But after a successful time of it in Germany, The Sun report that Manchester United are keen to bring Sancho back to England

It's claimed the Red Devils have been told to pay £70m for Sancho. But that would mean £10

5m goes to City, with a 15 per cent sell-on clause in their original deal with Dortmund

Manchester City would also have the option to match whatever offer Manchester United make thanks to another clause in the deal

Speaking back in October, City boss Pep Guardiola praised the United target. "I don't know," he said when asked if the player would return to the Etihad

"In football you never say no, but I don't know. "I think when he decided to move on from here it is because he doesn't want to be here

"When he doesn't want to be here I think he's not looking forward to coming back here

That is what I think right now. "Maybe in the future – new club, new managers – but I don't know

"We know what we have done with Jadon. We did absolutely everything and he decided to move on to Germany so all the best

"He's doing really well. He's started his career and hopefully he can achieve what he was looking for

"It's a good sign for England that players are going there because it's important for the future

I'm glad he's playing well."

Dear Friends

In the last election

We carried away nearly 130,000 votes and we see how much the Yachad party is missed

An impressive achievement, no doubt

Today

Everyone sees how much Yachad is missed

I hear the people on the street

How much our voice is missed

On all issues

From the political, social and security aspects

You go to sleep at night with the promise that there will be construction

And get up in the morning to a freeze

These things should not happen

A public figure must maintain integrity and credibility

He promises, it happens

We've proven ourselves in the past.

We were not sanctimonious in our treatment and dealings against the infiltrators

Certainly not against the Left

On every political or social issue like this or any other

We stood with integrity and clean hands

Public service is a supreme value

I call upon you, dear friends

This is the time

And I need you

To be counted and to share with friends

So we will all count more

Our security

Is our insurance policy

To the Knesset, with God's help, and the government, for sure

I call upon you to join Yachad

Wishing you success!

AOC under fire for giving her boyfriend a congressional email account to look at her calendar Dail

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez came under fire Friday after it emerged she has given her boyfriend Riley Roberts a congressional email account.

The congressional newcomer was forced to defend her actions on and insisted its only so he can look at her calendar.

Political consultant Luke Thompson tweeted a picture of his official House email address, which quickly went viral.

He tweeted: While you were having a nice Valentines Day, @AOC decided to put her boyfriend on staff drawing a salary on the taxpayers dime. Nice to see her adapting to the swamp so quickly.

But AOC hit back, writing: Actually this cal designation is a permission so he can have access to my Google Cal. Congressional spouses get Gcal access all the time.

Next time check your facts before you tweet nonsense.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi performs a ceremonial swearing in for US House Representative Alexandria Ocasio Cortez. She was joined by Riley Roberts, sixth from left

Political consultant Luke Thompson tweeted a picture of his official House email address

But Ocasio Cortez hit back and insisted its only so he can look at her calendar

Her chief of staff Saikat Chakrabarti also posted to Twitter, defending the account

Riley Roberts is the head of marketing at HomeBinder.com, according to Marie Claire. He also works with tech startups.

Riley from is Boston, Massachusetts and is reported to have gone to uni there, too.

He was pictured at her swearing in, telling the New York Post it was a really incredible day, really special.

They lived together in the Bronx before moving to Washington D.C.

Her chief of staff Saikat Chakrabarti also argued the move was normal for a spouse or partner.

He wrote: Hes not paid. We have no volunteers in the office. Hes not doing any government work. He can see her calendar just like spouses/partners/family members in other congressional office.

Spouses and partners normally get http://mail.house.gov e mail addresses for the purpose of getting calendar access.

And spokesperson for the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer, David OBoyle, told : From time to time, at the request of members, spouses and partners are provided House email accounts for the purposes of viewing the members calendar.

As news of her boyfriends email was shared online Jason Chaffetz, former chairman of the House Oversight Committee, told Fox: Its totally naive and inappropriate – you wouldnt allow it in most companies, let alone the House of Representatives. There should be real consequences.

When I was in the House, my scheduler would forward my wife my schedule once a week. But youre not allowed unfettered access. And he isnt even her spouse. It should be referred to the ethics committee for further investigation.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, 29, remained outspoken on the deal since its announcement in November. Now Amazon blame her rhetoric for foiling their plans

It comes on the day Amazon hit out at Ocasio Cortez and her Democratic peers for creating an unjust hostile environment that led to the withdrawal of their New York headquarters plan.

The online retailer announced on Thursday that they were pulling the plug on their proposal to create a second headquarters in New Yorks Long Island City.

Speaking out about the withdrawal on Friday, Amazons head of policy communications, Jodi Seth, pointed blame at Ocasio Cortez and her anti Amazon rhetoric.

Seth said it wasnt any one incident but months of vitriolic political discourse perpetuated by the likes of AOC that ultimately resulted in the companys decision to look elsewhere for a new branch to its Seattle base.
