Gothenburg and Västtrafik have a very ambitious target,

and that is to reduce the carbon dioxide emissions by 90 percent to 2035.

It is a huge task and that takes a massive electrification

of all existing traffic systems in the city,

on land and at sea.

That fits nicely to the Volvo Penta vision

of being the leader in sustainable power solutions.

And we also think that electrification is the way to go.

We will work with Älvsnabben 4,

which is one of the boats along the river here in Gothenburg.

It has two diesel engines today,

so we will remove the diesel engines and most of the fuel tanks

and fit electric motors in instead with battery packs

and on-board genset, running on HVO fuel.

And by that we will reduce the CO2 footprint a lot.

You will be experiencing a boat with less noise and of course no fumes.

So, you will have a very quiet boat running on electricity

and you will be able to feel the environment in a much better way.

We want to demonstrate that we can build integrated traffic systems

that integrate on road and on water traffic.

So, we will share the same traffic control,

we will share the same components and we will share the same services

and there will be a seamless experience going from a city bus to a city ferry.

Taking the public city transport is a first step for us.

We see that basically all the inland waterway traffic systems on water can be electrified.

TOUCHDOWN FOOTBALL for ATARI 7800 Review! - Duration: 6:36.

Happy Monday everybody and thanks for tuning in to Toys, The Universe, and Everything!

This week we're playing Touchdown Football for the Atari 7800.

So is Touchdown Football the Red Zone fix for Atari Football fans or would you be better

off playing foozeball for one?

Well like, subscribe to the channel, hit the notification bell, and lets play football

or whatever this is!!

Based on the 1985 Electronic Arts computer football game, Touchdown Football was released

in 1988 for the Atari 7800 by Imagineering.

What makes this interesting is that this IS based on an EA football game, but not THAT

EA football game.

In this game you play team A or team B in a 6 on 6 football game with special guest

kicker Greek tragic hero, edipus… after he plucked his own eyes out.

(reading is fundamental kids.)

Plays are chosen by pressing one of the eight directions on the stick and hitting a button.

Receiver routes are chosen independently in the same way for the right and left wide outs

and the Offensive line can also be set this way.

Kicks are automatic… automatically going to miss that is.

You can set the quarters to 5, 10, or 15 minutes and when you score a single cheerleader will

cheer for you in the end zone as you do your dance because this game was from the 80's

to heck with sportsmanship.

Super Bowl Shuffle away.

Visually this game manages to be less impressive in 1988 than 10 Yard Fight was in 1985.

The sprites animate in a surprisingly limited amount of frames except for the cheerleader…

girl's got moves.

The ball shows no attempt at shading and the field has no fans or detail other than the

grid.

The title screen is really nice, however and I think Atari knew that because they used

it as the box art.

They used the TITLE SCREEN AS THE BOX ART!

Now that is some cheap, lazy cost cutting stuff right there.

The title screen is also the cart label as well and probably the background of the programmer's

business card.

I was thinking of getting it as a tattoo, because why not.

There is no half time show, or game over screen to speak of.

No jumbo tron images.

Just the field and plain text for your box score info and touchdown notifications Its

like the programmers knew not to get too excited about touchdowns in this game… you're

going to miss the extra point anyway.…

The music jingle in the game isn't bad, but it only happens at kick offs and the title

screen.

The rest of the sound is pretty much out of an old LED football game.

There isn't much in the way of noises or cues and no crowd noise.

It makes the game feel very tedious instead of tense.

I don't want to say a Pokey chip would have made it better because it is very clear that

sound design was not the focus of the team working on this game.

The focus of a good home football game is the game itself, right?

Well then I have bad news sports fans.

This game plays like a PeeWee League on opening day.

The receivers don't run their routes and the quarterback won't throw to the receivers.

The running game is pretty much broken and the kicker should be bagging groceries.

Point after attempts and field goals are pretty much impossible even for the computer.

How no one caught this in QA, I have no idea.

There is no bar for the kick or on screen reticule to signal you.

It just happens, or it doesn't.

Which for me… it didn't.

EVER.

On the plus side, the computer appears to be just as confused about how to play as you

will.

I'm not sure anyone ever played this during programming to see if it was actually any

fun.

Based on the box art and game itself, I'm willing to bet this game was just thown out

there as a cash grab for poor Atari owners starved for a football game.

That said it was a little satisfying to run this kick back for a touchdown… he could..

go.. all… the… way!

So do you need Touchdown Football in your collection?

It is "A" football game for the Atari, but you would probably have more satisfaction

tracking down a John Elway or Joe Montana football card than this game.

Retro gamers that play football know that Tecmo Bowl and Madden are the two camps for

this type of game.

Touchdown Football is a sad, soulless mess that is less fun than a handheld red light

football game and sounds about the same as one.

On the plus side it is super cheap, but only go looking for this if you have to have them

all or need to level a table.

Watch the Replacements or the Waterboy instead, play Madden on SEGA Genesis or Tecmo Super

Bowl on NES or even NFL Blitz on N64 because I don't think even Dan Marino could save

this game from the cellar of the 8 bit football division.

So anyway, I hope you enjoyed this video and no matter what your questions are about toys

the universe and everything, remember, the answer is always to have fun and FOOZEBALL

may not be the devil, Kathy Bates, but Touchdown Football might be the game in Satan's Atari.

Korea's first declaration of independence made public for the first time in a century - Duration: 1:53.

A draft of Korea's first declaration of independence was made public for the first time.

The hand-written document served as the basis for the country's later declarations of

self-determination in 1919.

Kim Da-mi has more from a special event held to mark the centennial anniversary of the

February 1st Declaration.

A ceremony marking the centennial of the declaration of Korean independence was held at Seoul City

Hall on Friday.

Hosted by Cho So-ang Memorial Association and Samgyun Association,... the event honored

39 independence activists as well as the February 1st Declaration,... the first document of

its kind asserting the nation's right to self-determination.

Read out by Cho In-rae,... a descendant of Cho So-ang, an independence activist who wrote

the draft,... the statement rejected Japan's colonial rule of Korea and urged independence

activists to fight against the Japanese Empire.

Shown to the public for the first time on Friday, the declaration was completed in China

on February 1st of 1919,... exactly one hundred years ago.

It was then signed by Korean independence activists dispersed throughout the world...

including those in Russia and Manchuria.

The hand-written declaration originally consisted of five pages, but two of them are currently

unaccounted for.

The two missing pages reportedly included... a declaration of Japan as the enemy and the

assertion of Korea's independence from Japanese rule.

Though the draft is not as well known as the February 8th and the March 1st declarations,

the February 1st Declaration laid an important foundation for the two documents that later

followed,... pioneering Korea's independence movement.

Opinion Interpretation of the news based on evidence, including data, as well as anticipating how events might unfold based on past events

SEN. KAMALA D. HARRIS D Calif. , a freshly minted presidential candidate, an appealing picture of Medicare for all at a CNN town hall on Monday. Yes, she said, the plan would require doing away with insurance companies. But, she argued, who would miss them? Who of us has not had that situation where youve got to wait for approval and the doctor says, Well, I dont know if your insurance company is going to cover this? Lets eliminate all of that, lets move on.

Actually, no one can really eliminate all of that — not Ms. Harris and not possible 2020 candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders I Vt. . Even if the United States adopted Medicare for all or some other version of national health insurance, Americans would not get everything they want whenever they want it. No one, in any country, does.

Ms. Harris and other Medicare for all advocates expect that the country would save money and hassle if the government, not insurance companies, paid for Americans health care. Insurance company profits and marketing costs could be redirected to health care. Whether the savings would be as large as expected; whether the government could manage things more efficiently; whether Americans really want to disrupt the existing system — all of those are legitimate questions for debate.

But what Medicare for all could not do — and what Ms. Harris and others who may tout the idea during the coming campaign cannot claim honestly — is end health care rationing. Doctors, or somebody, would still have to tell patients that some procedures or prescription drugs are covered and some are not. The government would have to decide what does get covered. Some people would still be upset, convinced that federal bureaucrats denied them life changing or life saving treatment.

A spokesman for Ms. Harris argued to us that at least those federal bureaucrats would not be motivated to restrain costs in order to maximize profits, as insurance companies are, which might lead to different choices about what gets paid for. Perhaps, but the fact remains that the government would have to manage costs, which would require hard nosed rationing, or else the already daunting challenge of paying for single payer would become even more so. Government health care systems in the European social democracies, the models that supposedly prove that Medicare for all can work as described, are in fact far less generous than the proposed Sanders Harris .

If the nation were building a health care system from scratch, single payer might be the rational choice. Even now, with many Americans reasonably satisfied with their employer sponsored coverage, politicians can make an argument that theyd be better off in a different system. But they should not make that argument by exaggerating the benefits or lowballing the costs of single payer, as Medicare for all advocates so often do. Any system will demand tradeoffs and constraints.
