IT'S OVER JOY BEHAR IS DONE

Joy Behar and her fellow liberal hosts of "The View" love nothing more than attacking

the Trump family.

On Friday's show, their target was Melania, but they quickly learned that their attacks

on the First Lady went way too far.

Mediaite reported that the liberal panel slammed Melania with sexist jabs for taking the time

to go to the U.S. border with Mexico.

"Is this just another case of a wife cleaning up for her husband?"

Behar asked.

"She's trolling her husband," Sunny Hostin said.

"Why would she show up?"

"This is the most awkward begin to divorce proceedings that I have ever seen," she

said.

The panel was split on whether the White House was behind this or not.

Behar chose to not give Melania any credit, instead claiming that she was forced to go

to the border by her husband, President Donald Trump.

"We all know is this is a very complicated marriage," said guest host Ana Navarro.

"Look.

I thought she was trying to self-deport

from

the White House."

Mitch McConnell On Filling The Federal Bench: 'This Is My Top Priority' - Duration: 6:34.

Mitch McConnell On Filling The Federal Bench: 'This Is My Top Priority'

For Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, 2018 could be defined by one word: judges.

More than any other issue or cause in this midterm election year, the Kentucky Republican says he is focusing the chamber's agenda on confirming as many of President Trump's lifetime judicial appointments as possible before the end of the year.

"There are over 1,200 executive branch appointments that come to us for confirmation, and among the most important — in fact, I would argue, the most important — confirmations we have are lifetime appointments to the judiciary," McConnell told NPR in an interview in his U.S.

Capitol office on Thursday.

"Obviously, this is my top priority.".

McConnell is setting a record pace for confirmation, with a total of 21 circuit court judges confirmed to date in this Congress.

In 2017, the Senate confirmed 12 of Trump's circuit court nominees, which McConnell noted was a first-year record for a president since the modern court system was created more than a century ago.

McConnell said his motivation was driven beyond the scope of the 2018 midterm elections.

"I don't know whether it will matter to the midterm elections or not," he said.

"But my principal reason for doing it is because I think it's important for the country.".

The long-term impact, McConnell said, is a judicial branch that will have more jurists in the mold of the late Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia, a conservative icon.

"What the president is sending up and what we are confirming are judges who are similar to what Justice Scalia once said a judge ought to be: He said if you're not occasionally uncomfortable with the outcome you reach, you're not a very good judge.".

McConnell added: "The president, I think, he's been setting up a consistent group of men and women who believe the job of a judge is to interpret the law.

McConnell's judicial strategy has long infuriated his Democratic opposition, who are still smarting from McConnell's decision to block consideration of President Obama's 2016 nomination of Judge Merrick Garland to the Supreme Court.

McConnell strategy was successful, and ultimately led to the confirmation of Justice Neil Gorsuch instead.

As speculation continues to swirl around the possible retirement of Justice Anthony Kennedy, a pivotal swing vote on the high court, McConnell said if a Supreme Court vacancy were to happen this year, he would work to fill the seat before the midterm elections.

"It would be a top priority and we would certainly move to confirm, if a vacancy occurred," he said, brushing off the notion that Congress should wait until after the election — a similar argument McConnell made for delaying Garland's confirmation.

"There isn't a presidential election this year.

There's a congressional election," McConnell said, calling it a "foolish argument" that voters should have a say in who controls the Senate first.

"The presidential campaign was raging when the (Garland) nomination occurred.the presidential election is in 2020.

If we get a vacancy on the Supreme Court this year, we'll deal with it.".

It's these judicial nominations, along with a growing economy, record low unemployment and a new tax cut that McConnell says offers the GOP the best chance to hold their majorities in the House and the Senate in a midterm election year in which recent history says they should lose one or both.

"I would remind those in America who are right of center that this has been a fabulous year and a half," he said.

"Everything from tax relief to repealing the individual mandate to the 15 uses of the Congressional Review Act.

We mentioned the courts, comprehensive tax reform.

If you are a right-of-center person, there hasn't been a better period than this in at least three decades.".

While McConnell is known for message discipline, he acknowledged that the GOP faces challenges with a president who does not share that disposition.

"Well, obviously we'd like to see him talking about what we're sitting here talking about more of the time," the Senate's top Republican said, "And I think many of us have urged him to do that and we hope he will.

WWE title match pulled after Shinsuke Nakamura is bitten by police dog

WWE superstar Shinsuke Nakamura was forced to pull out of a title match after he was BITTEN by a police dog.

The Japanese sensation was scheduled to fight Jeff Hardy on the SmackDown broadcast, with the United States Championship on the line.

But according to the Wrestling Observer, the 38-year-old "was bit in the leg by a police dog at the arena in Bakersfield".

WWE presenter Dasha Fuentes spoke on the official WWE network, saying: "Shinsuke Nakamura suffered an injury last night.

"There are few details known at this moment but unfortunately he is not medically cleared to compete for the United States Championship against Jeff Hardy.

This led to Hardy issuing an 'open challenge' for another wrestler to challenge for his belt.

And that call was answered by Eric Young.

But that match ended in disappointment for WWE fans when the Usos entered from the crowd and scrap with Young's mates Dain and Wolfe ringside.

Young left the ring and dragged Jey Uso back in it, thus forcing the disqualification, picking up the win but not the belt.

Mystery of 'ghost' seen standing over boy, 5, is solved after mum shares footage - Duration: 1:48.

</form>  An eerie figure which appeared to follow a five-year-old boy on a bicycle in spooky footage captured by his scared mum was actually a security guard - and not the ghost of a pensioner as suggested on social media

Louise Lenton's mobile phone clip of her son caused a stir online when she noticed what looked like a woman watching from a first floor window of Oldway Mansion in Paignton, Devon

"It looks like a lady with hair in a bun, with white cuffs around her hands," Louise said at the time

She even informed Torbay Council of the spectre.  But a security guard at the country house has now claimed he was indeed the figure

Alex Warren, who has worked at Oldway Mansion for four years, said: "I wear my black cardigan inside and my security coat for outside patrols

"That day I was just admiring the young lad, learning to ride his bike.  "Hope this clears up the misunderstanding

"There are, to my knowledge, no ghosts at Oldway, and I have worked days and nights here for over four years

"  Louise initially thought the figure was an "elderly woman in a period dress".   Speaking at the time, she said: "My partner and I had split off, with him going to walk the dogs on the fields and I took our little boy to the car park to practise riding his bike

"The car park is flat and perfect to do it. I was just filming him and that was it

"It wasn't until I was home and in bed watching the film back when I noticed it

"I was like 'oh my gosh!' and my partner could not explain it. Neither of us know what this is

"
