Now I'm going to go ahead and I'm going to be diving into my computer,

my laptop, which is sitting right on over there.

I'm going to dive in on my laptop and I'm going to share with you a software

that I'm using that that just totally changed the way I do thumbnails because

I was doing, it was taking me out of a very long time

to do thumbnails. I'm not a photoshop guy.

I was using a free software called gimp and it takes a long time.

So without further ado, let's dive into my computer and I see

you on over there.

Okay, so we're back.

We're here on my computer, my laptop now.

Now I'm here on a software that I use to crank out awesome thumbnails pretty,

pretty fast. Um,

I don't use canva. I've used Canva in the past.

I know they are free softwares out there that you can use and maybe you just cool

and if you don't, you don't want really highly

professional looking, customize dope thumbnails.

Maybe you just plain Jane. Me.

I like, I like mine to pop.

I like to grab attention when people are scrolling down,

uh, on youtube looking,

I want mine to stand you know you know over everybody else's.

And this right here, you know,

if you do that, I know people who pay for gigs on fiverr

spending 25 $40 to get, you know,

four or five a thumbnails done and this right,

here's gonna eliminate all of that.

So without futher ado I'm gonna jump into this software,

it's called kickass tuber. And then it's just not a thumbnail

maker. This is completely all in one software

that you can use to customize and brand you on Youtube.

So this right here, this is,

I mean, I'm really feeling this.

I mean, when I got here,

it's not like, yeah,

this, this,

this is it for me. So because I used Gimp,

I'm not a photoshop guy, never used photoshop.

I use Gimp and I use powerpoint and it would take me a long time to create the

type of thumbnails I want. Customized,

customize. It took me a long time to do it with

this right here, you know,

I'm doing it within 15, 20 minutes,

30 minutes tops, depending on,

you know, all stuff that I want to throw in my

thumbnail. Without further ado,

let me jump right here.

You got 150 well, I got 152 if you decide to pick this up,

you wouldn't have it in unless you upgraded to the VIP member,

which that's what I did. But that's a month and one thing that I

did, but you can pay for a year,

whatever, but you really don't need it,

you know, so I've just tried it out for one month.

I think after the first month, which I just picked this up,

this actually lunch on August the 26 2018 so here it is,

September the sixth I pick this up like few days ago.

I've been playing with it. It's a little bit of a learning curve,

but there are training tutorials inside of the software,

but they're not really highly effective. Um,

what I'll be showing you who would show you more in depth of what you learn with

the video tutorials in the back office software.

So you got thumbnail template pre done for you.

That's what's cool about this is that you can just go in here and pick

something out and just go to work and edit and stuff like that.

So for the time sake of this video, I'm just going to go ahead and pick

something out and I'll take them. I'll do this right here.

He's going to pick this out, jump on into this software.

Who meanwhile, while this is loading,

I'm going to show you another one that I'm using.

This is called clipping magic. I want to cut out the background image.

You just use my, just use my picture or alone.

So I use a software called clippy clipping magic,

I don't get paid from this. Uh,

I'm gonna leave a link in the description.

I'm going to share with you, how you can cut your photos out

lightening fast and not have to spend, you know,

30, 40 minutes or whatever,

20 minutes. Oh,

I have to pay somebody to cut her off. Cut this out.

So you clicking the green class and all you gotta do is just,

he's a drag a photo in or you can a clip,

you can click on to upload the photo. So what I want to keep is my image only

and I'm going to just put an x right here.

I'm doing this while my template on my kickass software is

loading up. So the background and I want to take out

I click the red minus and I'm just going to go take out the background and I just

do it like this.

I just make me a little rainbow and what didn't come out.

I just go click and Bam.

There you go. Now I want to zoom in to make sure I got

everything. See you

like you take the, take the hand who they are right here

and I see you right here. How do you get that little

piece right there.

That's all I want to do. And now we just zoom back out,

download it just that fast and it's ready to go.

So it'll be on,

it'll be on the, uh,

on the desktop. And I want to show you now I'm going

back to the software and now we have it

all. All you want to do here,

is just take stuff out that you don't want to use.

But if you see a template you like some of the stuff on there,

you can just keep it next to whatever you want.

You can either click on it and take it out or right click and delete.

Delete. Now what I'm going to share with you how

to do your, your images and how to do your text.

It's got to be the same way. I'm not going to show,

I'm not going to go and make a full, I'm just going to show you some of the

things because of the time purposes of this video.

So I'm sure tell you what I mean. So here's the effect,

so I got the border. I want to keep the border,

I'm just going to change the color and I want to keep the color overlay.

I won't change it. Actually,

I'm gonna change the color yellow. I want to,

I want to do a red and then we'll keep that white in here.

Okay. This right here,

this is what I want to use, so I'm going to change in a second.

Let me click back up here. I want to take out a text out.

Let me just, let me just,

let me just delete because I don't want to be confused when I started with the

text, so that's it let me move my image,

right click or rasterize.

I guess that's how you said rasterize. Rasterize

see even me. So I want to put that on top of that,

but I'm going to raise it up now.

We'll show you how to put a border around that border.

So what'd you do with you? Right Click blending option.

Put stroke with a stroke on it and double click

and change it. I'm going to put a white border around

my image and then I'm going to raise it up shift arrow.

I'm going to put a seven on it.

Hit Okay. And now I got

that white border around it, now I want to hit control all.

Now what I want to do is I want to put another border around

the whiteboard again, right click blending options,

and it's the samething for text. So all I'm going to do hit the plus sign

to add another stroke.

So now

I'm going to put black over it and hit Okay,

there you go. So now let me go ahead and change out

the background color, the border color,

because I want that border to be black,

actually you don't do you don't do that first let we changed after the

overlay color the way and we'll do that right

here. I want to put some gradient in it and

I'm going to do it like,

and then we'll break it down like that's pretty cool.

I'm going to leave it because I'm not going to go ahead and do a full video,

but now I want to change out the border. I want to make that border black,

so all I'm gonna do is go back to that then,

I want to go to my border and then all I'm going to do is click right there.

Oh sorry, I got to pick a different tool.

So it changes how you do that right there.

Now. Same thing with texts.

I want to have text in it, pick

my texts, click right there is going to load up,

and then I'm going to say actually

I want my letters all caps. Make

the awesome right

click here so you can move and change. The color of it is so simple,

so easy I really like it, I'm going to change the color,

I'm going to do it.

I'm going to do a change of the color gradients to fail.

And this is how you do deeper.

Don't worry I'm going to make us sick

and that's all you gotta do. So now you right click.

Now what am I share with you right here as you do this exact same process to do

all your texts and stuff like that. Blending options.

Same thing I did with my photo, my

image level two

times changing. Well right here on the sides of the

border. I'm going to bring it up to like 15 or

something like that. Maybe 16 or 17 control all or

you have just like that. And then I could throw some different

stuff inside of the my thumbnail, like emojis right here.

I can put in there, I could just click import.

Everything's right here on the side. I right click,

I hit this. I don't even want to say the word.

I mean forgive me, I'm not a,

you know, but just go right here click on that I

move it behind me. I to,

I want to bring it down smaller and all right,

click blended option stroke, double

clicks.

Okay. bring it up.

That's all I want control all out. Just like that.

You got other features, other stuff,

other big did you can put in it,

you know, um,

just different in different things. So you have shapes here,

I can throw in arrows, stuff

like that. I mean,

you really can just come in here and play.

You can put buttons in here text. I mean,

just all kinds of stuff that you can here.

Fire, smoke,

miscellaneous, the

speech bubbles. I mean,

you name it,

put it in

here. So I'm going to share with you how much.

How much does this, we can pick this up at and what is,

what it costs right here. Grab the kickass tuber.

You can't upload it to youtube that size.

by 720, we hit 1280 and it's going to

automatically go to 720 just like that.

And then you save it and you, I mean,

then you got it and then you can upload it to,

you can upload it to youtube whenever you do

your videos and stuff like that. Uh,

Whether it's a disc herniation, thoracic outlet syndrome or pinched nerve, posture

is always a contributing factor. So today I want to take a minute just to show you

some simple things that you can do to improve your posture. Hi, I'm Dr. Thom

Green from Elmira Family Chiropractic and the first thing I want to show you

is shoulder squeezes. So oftentimes when we're sitting all day at the keyboard, we

get that rounding in our mid-back or our thoracic spine. So what you can do is you

can do shoulder squeezes. So you can bring your shoulders back and down, kind

of like you're putting them in your back pocket. Do that 10 or 15 times and that

will help take the tension off those traps and those rhomboids between your

shoulder blades. The second thing I'll show you is chin

tucks. So get in a tall posture and what you're going to do is you're going to

take your chin and you're going to tuck it in and then you'll bring it forward

again and then tuck it in. You should feel lengthening in the muscles right

at the base of your skull. You don't want to be bending your head forward and

backwards. This one I'd recommend doing sitting or lying down. It's a simple form

of traction to help open up the joints in your neck and help take some of the

pressure off the nerves. So what you can do is if you're in a chair then you're

going to take like a tea towel down like this and you're going to put that

just around the base of your skull and tip your head back slightly into

extension. So if you're to see what that looks like, it kind of looks like this.

Tip your head back and then you'll use your arms here to lift

and you should feel a nice gentle pulling pressure in that neck. Again if

the extension causes more pressure or pain into your arms, then don't do that

just keep your head neutral and gently pull up. The next thing I'll show you is

wall angels. So this can really help to bring your head back in over your body

and reduce the rounding in that mid back. So what you do is you place your

butt against the wall, so your sacrum, your tailbone should be flush against

the wall and then you're going to put your shoulder blades, your elbows

and you're going to be putting your hands in this field goal type position.

Your head should also be touching the wall and then you're going to slowly

bring your arms up. Slide your hands up the wall keeping everything glued to the

wall and then bring it back down so your head your mid-back and your sacrum

should never leave that wall and you're going to repeat that up and down the

wall. Do that 10 or 15 times. If you're the kind of person who's on the phone

all day or you're mousing with one side, oftentimes you end up

tipping your head to one side. So if you do lateral bends then this can take the

pressure off that side. So tip your head away,

you should feel stretching in that side of your neck. You can even add a little bit

of downward pressure on your head and even on that shoulder here, to help open

that up. Repeat the opposite side too and then do that back and forth with the

slow stretch at the end. Maybe hold it for 5 seconds, do that 10 times on

the hour. Okay, last one I'll show you today. This is for your thoracic spine,

your mid-back, you know sort of right above that bra strap for you women or

guys where you kind of feel that tension from slouching all day. So what you can

do is get a foam roller. It's kind of like this very dense foam and you can

put that on the floor right in that mid-back, then you're going to give

yourself a hug, that gets the shoulder blades out of the way, then lift your

hips and then you're going to roll back and forth, up and down that spine. This

will help take the tension out of those muscles. You can even lace the fingers

behind your neck and then just gently lean back over that and breathe on here

for 10-15 or 20 seconds, even a minute and that can

help take some of that tension out of that mid back. So I hope that these

simple stretches and exercises can help you. I know they help me on a regular

basis and this will help improve your posture, which can help reduce

tension on those nerves, can reduce neck pain and if you're having any other

Handheld Diagnostic Tool for Infectious Diseases - Duration: 2:01.

-We want to be able to run our tests anywhere in the world.

So if they're in a doctor's office

or a patient's home, it needs to be as minimal amount

of equipment as possible.

My lab started working solely on paper devices

where we could do the entire process

in a piece of paper without using any other materials.

However, we found that if we wanna amplify the RNA

and we wanna detect as early as possible in an infection,

we're gonna need a source of heat

and we looked at chemical methods,

but we ultimately turned to electronics

because they're small and convenient.

Here is our original paper device plan

and here are the electronics that go around it.

We have some temperature sensors

and some printed resisters that we developed

that are able to control the heat process.

This is a low-power device that can perform the reactions

in the paper and heat the device as needed

and control and stop and start the fluid flow

so that we can run our assay that takes our sample,

captures the HIV, amplifies the RNA inside of it,

and then detects it downstream on an easy to read

lateral flow assay.

And these lateral flow assays are the same exact process

as a pregnancy test.

There are tests that can run RNA-based detection of HIV,

but they need to be done in a laboratory setting

and right now those are done with pooled samples

of multiple different patients.

What we'd like to do is to be able to take that one sample,

run it immediately, and get that person a result right away.

I like the really applied nature of this work

in that we are developing something from scratch,

building it, and we get to test it with our partners

and really take it into clinics.

In a very short period of time,

we hope that it's actually going to be saving lives.
