Okay, before we start I just want to be clear

I don't want to sound like I'm siding with anyone

or I'm biased

This video is gonna be mainly about parents.

If you have a parent

Maybe we can all agree that if you're toxic to them,

you have no right to complain about how bad their parenting is to you.

Okay?

So I posted an Instagram story asking my followers

about what they hate the most about their parents and hear their answers.

First off,

sometimes they're wrong but won't admit because they are my "parents".

Next,

I hate how they try to understand other kids,

but they can't do the same to their own daughter.

They don't hear our opinions and thoughts, that's all I love them. Thank you.

They don't really give me that much freedom

and they think everyone around me isn't good for me.

They don't let me socialize, they're overprotective, super strict,

and they have too much expectations and they think I'm always wrong.

When they don't even know what's going on.

Wow

Next, not being able to say sorry when they should because of their pride as parents.

Sometimes I can feel that we don't really understand each other.

When they start comparing me to someone else.

Over-thinker. They don't to accept their mistakes sometimes.

Doesn't want to lose argum ents.

*awkward laugh*

Their expectations are so high that

whenever I fail, they smart shame me.

Telling me things like, "I thought you were smart.",

"Why are you like this?", etc.

They force me to do things that they want for me

and telling me that it would be the best for me.

I know all they want is the best for me, but

what about my own dreams? Right?

And when I don't follow what they want

they will tell me that Lord won't bless me.

Because I don't honor them.

And just to be fair,

parents are only doing this for two main reasons.

One, they just want take care of us and

second, as mentioned earlier,

They just want the best for us and

this is only fair and they're actually in the right position to do this because

they have more experience of this world compared to us.

And the motive is there.

They don't want us to get hurt, they only want the good for us.

They only want the best for us, but

the way the children react to these restrictions

Tells me there's something wrong and

because what the parents want and what the children want

doesn't really meet.

The relationship between the two of them

kind of blurs.

Because of this

The children are forced to do things

they don't want for example

They're forced to take courses and study degrees that

they don't really want and they're not gonna be happy about it/

They won't be satisfied and

maybe, just maybe,

because of this eventually they're gonna be depressed.

so I'm gonna give some friendly tips and advices for the parents out there and I may offend...

I may offend some of you but

this needs to be heard.

Okay, so first thing.

Your children owe you nothing.

That may sound really weird and offensive but

It's true . Your children owe you nothing

Though you've given them

food, shelter

clothing, education, money, and everything they need,

It's your responsibility to give them those things.

So, in that case

you're not really supposed to say that your children are ungrateful because

you decided to give life to someone without that person's consent and

Since you've invested a lot in your children,

maybe you feel that you don't want it to be wasted.

Yes. That's fair but...

But if your children commit mistakes

it's their mistake.

Not yours, and it's okay.

It's okay

Moving on, the world is in a constant change.

Constant.

Constant?

Constant. The world is in a constant change.

And this is where the generation gap comes in.

Parents, I just want to remind you that

The generation you grew up in it's way different in the generation we have right now.

What works before, may not be working anymore and

the ways are just different now.

Another issue relating to this is

Most of the parents I meet are stuck.

What I mean is they already stopped growing.

They already closed their minds and

It seems like they think that they already know about what works and what doesn't

and this is wrong because everyone including parents and children

and anybody else shouldn't stop growing.

Not because you're an adult doesn't mean you stop growing.

The world is in a constant change. The world is always spinning.

That's why you should also cope up and adapt to the change.

Accept the change. Change is good. Well, most of it.

And lastly your children are individuals.

Complex individuals.

Just like you , they have their own dreams.

Maybe what they want is different

than what you want for them.

And since everyone is unique

Differences are inevitable.

Their thinking is different than how you think.

What they feel is different than how you feel.

How they see the world is different than how you see it.

How you know your children is different than how they know themselves.

This is a big one

They know themselves better than you.

I know it's tough. But it's true.

And you may say that you can know it's your children just with their shadows or

you may say that you can know they're your children just with their farts.

But no, not really. No.

And with this argument, maybe we can say that

We, children

know what's best for us.

Oh my.

I can already see parents typing their comments becau-

Or we may not know what's going to be best for us but

we know what's gonna be good or what's gonna be bad for us.

If you're really confident that you raise them well enough,

don't be afraid to let them make decisions on their own

No, no, no, no, no.

Don't be afraid to let them make decisions on their own.

Maybe you can guide them but the final say must come from them.

There. There you go.

So many people say, with these kinds of issue that

Communication is the key

but no, it's not because communication only gives you knowledge

about what's happening and knowledge is not enough.

There should also be understanding

and that's the key.

Understanding.

You may know but that is not necessarily mean you understand.

So that's what you should do.

Communicate,

know and understand.

Understand.

And I think this is a good timing to explain what my tagline

"Spread love. Be kind. and be brave" means.

Being kind comes after spreading love because loving someone is easy

but being kind to them is a different thing.

You may love someone but you're not being kind to them.

There's no doubt that you love your children. There's no doubt that you love your parents.

Be kind to them.

It takes... It's another step and

Being brave comes after those two because it takes courage to do the good things and to do the right things.

It takes courage to spread love and be kind.

I hope that helps.

This is just how I think this issue would be solved in the truth is

there is no secret formula that would work for everyone.

Everyone has different situations. Everyone has different struggles

Everyone has different issues and

everyone has different preferences on how they want to tackle their struggles.

These are only guidelines and feel free to change this

according to your preferences and according to what you think is gonna work best for you.

and if this works everyone would be happy the children would be happy you would be happy and

Everyone would be happy.

No one's gonna loose if this works and

don't get frustrated if this doesn't work immediately, just keep them working on it.

You're gonna get there eventually, I promise.

 Saturday night in Fortaleza, the UFC kicked off a run of nine consecutive weekends featuring action inside the Octagon with a 13-fight affair featuring a number of hopefuls, a few emerging prospects and a pair of high-level matchups closing things out

 With the dust barely settled and Saturday night on the verge of turning into Sunday morning, here's a look at what the results of the UFC's second fight card of the mean for the men and women who had their hands raised inside the cage and the divisions they represent

Marlon Moraes def. Raphael Assuncao by submission (mounted guillotine choke) at 3:17 of Round 1  The first time these two fought, it was a 15-minute affair where the two men trade shots at range, neither gaining a significant advantage

In the end, two of the three judges sides with Assuncao.  There would be no need for judges in this one

 A little over a minute into the first, Moraes connected with a right hand that wobbled Assuncao

The follow-up right put him on the deck and after chasing him down, Moraes jumped on a guillotine choke, floating over into mount to seal the deal, avenge his only loss in the last seven years and seemingly earn himself a shot at the bantamweight title later this year

  What It Means: This is both the best and worst result possible for Moraes, the UFC and the bantamweight division

 It's great because now they have options when it comes to booking TJ Dillashaw's next title defense, but at the same time, having Moraes dominate and finish Assuncao makes it really hard to force him to the sidelines or into a matchup with another contender before he fights for the title

The tricky thing is that no matter who the UFC tabs to take on Dillashaw next, someone is going to be disgruntled

 This is also a heartbreaking result for Assuncao who honestly deserved better. He'd done more than enough to merit a title shot, but it never materialized and now, instead of getting to fight for gold, he's coming off a first-round loss

He didn't let go of Good until a little over two minutes later after the former Bellator champion had tapped out

 This was a vintage performance for the 41-year-old Brazilian, who entered on a three-fight slide

During that skid, which started with his title loss to Tyron Woodley and continued with setbacks against top contenders Colby Covington and Kamaru Usman, Maia didn't get a chance to grapple, spending the majority of the fight getting rebuffed or playing defense

 The other thing this result does — or at least should do — is further underscore just how good Woodley, Covington and Usman are because all three shut Maia down completely

Prior to this fight, you could have made the argument that the submission specialist was slipping, but when he goes out and storms through Good like this, it's clear he's still got something left and those three are just outstanding when it comes to defending takedowns and dictating the terms of engagement inside the Octagon

Charles Oliveira def. David Teymur by submission (anaconda choke) at 0:55 of Round 2  This one started off rocky, with Teymur accidentally sticking a finger or two in Oliveira's right eye, prompting a long pause and referee Jerin Valel to immediately deduct a point from the Swedish lightweight

 When the action restarted, Oliveira called Teymur forward and Teymur obliged, dropping "Do Bronx" with a clean left

But the Brazilian was able to recover and counter, taking the fight to Teymur on the feet and threatening with leg locks as they scrambled on the ground

 Early in the second, Oliveira connected with an up elbow in close that wobbled Teymur and followed it up with a short elbow inside that forced him to turn into the fence and cover up

After a flurry of punches, Oliveira latched onto the choke, dragged his opponent to the floor and secured the finish, adding to his record for the most submission wins in UFC history

  What It Means: For the first time in several fights, Oliveira didn't lobby to return to featherweight, so in that regard, it means the Brazilian finisher is sticking around at lightweight

 Now that he's won four straight, all by submission, Oliveira has to be considered an intriguing addition to the 155-pound ranks

He's made clear and obvious improvements over the last several years and he's skilled in every facet, which makes him a tough out for anyone who opts to step into the cage with him

Oliveira still has some flaky moments from time-to-time — like when he tried to call timeout following the restart after Teymur poked him in the eye for a second time — but he seems to have grown out of looking for exits whenever things get rough for him, which is crucial because the fights are only going to get tougher going forward

 From a matchup standpoint, Oliveira should get another step up in competition next time out, with many suggesting a bout with Gregor Gillespie, which sounds about right

What will be interesting to see is if after more than eight years on the roster, Oliveira has figured things out and is finally starting to fight up to his full potential

Johnny Walker def. Justin Ledet by TKO (strikes) at 0:15 of Round 1  This one didn't take long and added to the growing legend of the famously named Brazilian light heavyweight

 After clowning and chilling in the corner during introductions, Walker strolled into the center of the cage, connected with a hook kick and then dropped Ledet with a spinning backfist

Walker instinctually launched a soccer kick at Ledet's head while he was on the canvas, but, thankfully, he missed, otherwise he likely would have been disqualified

Instead, he was able to follow up with a series of quick, clean coffin nails and put Ledet away

  What It Means: First and foremost, it means the Johnny Walker hype train will continue chugging along, gathering steam

His debut win over Khalil Rountree got everyone pumped and needing just 15 seconds to secure his second UFC victory is only going to increase the hype surrounding the Brazilian newcomer

 It's going to be interesting to see how the UFC opts to book the towering 26-year-old going forward

On one hand, light heavyweight is always in need of fresh names in the Top 15 and his two highlight reel wins are the kind of performancesthatn can get a fighter fast-tracked to being a contender

On the other hand, Rountree and Ledet are a combined 6-5 in 11 UFC starts and rushing him into the cage with a far more established fighter could result in quickly killing his momentum

 Walker oozes star potential, so it makes sense to get him back in there as quickly as possible and to continue giving him opportunities to shine on the main card

Personally, I'd slow play things a little and let Walker get a couple wins over more experienced, more accomplished competition before hustling into a Top 10 pairing, but it would be hard to fault the UFC for looking to strike while the iron is hot and see what he can do against a legitimate contender

Livia Renata Souza def. Sarah Frota by split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28)  A battle between Brazilian strawweights got things underway on the main card — or at least that was the expectation before Frota missed weight by an insane seven pounds on Friday

Eager to get back in the cage and compete at home in Brazil, Souza accepted the catchweight terms (and 40 percent of Frota's purse) and the fight went forward

 With both women boasting soilid grappling skills and developing striking, this turned into a tactic, sluggish battle where both fighters had their moments, but neither was able to dominate for long stretches

As the scores indicate, it was a close fight and while Frota was surprised to land on the wrong side of the results, most seemed to believe the right fighter won

  What It Means: This fight makes you really think about the penalties for missing weight, as Frota was clearly the fresher of the two heading into the final round and in a tight contest, having a little more in the gas tank is a major factor

Souza did an excellent job early using her judo skills to get Frota to the canvas, but she clearly struggled to control her throughout the bout, which is understandable given that Frota basically weighed in at flyweight

 In terms of the result itself, the victory keeps Souza moving forward in the strawweight divisoin, where she has to be considered a dark horse contender entering 2019

The former Invicta FC champ is very good on the ground and swings hammers when standing and she's continuing to get better

 This was a difficult matchup in terms of style and Frota's miscue and Souza managed to come away with the win, one that will continue to move her forward in the rankings and set up bigger matchups later this year

Lunar New Year's events for foreign residents in Korea - Duration: 1:51.

The Lunar New Year holiday, or "Seollal" in Korean, is just around the corner.

It's next Tuesday, but with the weekend, people are enjoying an extended break lasting until

Wednesday.

Normally time of year, Koreans spend time with family and relatives, perform ancestral

rites... and enjoy traditional food and games.

For foreigners who'd like to experience these traditions, there are a number of events offering

a chance to do that.

Our Choi Si-young reports.

A deep bow to the elders called "Sebae" is a Korean traditional New Year's greeting that

is a sign of blessing for the coming new year.

From this Tuesday to Wednesday, visitors to Gyeongbokgung Palace can try out Sebae while

it is open to the public for free.

Deoksugung Palace will also be freely accessible during the holidays, where guests can play

the Korean traditional outdoor game "Jegichagi" in which players kick "Jegi," a small coin

wrapped in paper, into the air and attempt to keep it aloft.

There, they can also play traditional folk game "Yutnori," a board game where players

toss four sticks.

"Tuho" or pitch-pot is another traditional game the visitors can enjoy.

Other eye-catching events are being held in the Korean Folk Village during the holidays.

Visitors can enjoy Korean folk music performance -- such as drumming, dancing and singing -- and

traditional tightrope walking.

Known as "Jultagi," this acrobatic performance is different from other countries' tightrope

walking because this is usually accompanied by music plays, telling a story to viewers.

Visitors can also pound rice cake, which is an essential ingredient of "Tteoguk," a rice

cake soup eaten at this time of year.

The Seollal holiday is packed with colorful events... that will make the visitor's experience

all the more unforgettable.
