Waching daily Feb 1 2019

So today we're gonna talk about something that I'm sure I'm gonna get a

lot of flack for but it's gonna help you grow on platforms like twitch YouTube

Mixer and Facebook gaming that's right I'm talking about clickbait and how it

can help you grow let's go!

Hey it's me it's wild coming at you from my stream

support playlist where I bring you the best tips and tricks and if this is your

first time here and you want to learn how to grow and improve your stream make

sure you hit that big red subscribe button and take that bell so you know

when my videos go live for you and hey at any point in this video if you like

the products or the services that I'm talking about I did you all a favor I

put all the links in the show notes below so make sure you check them out

okay okay I know I'm gonna get a bunch of hateful comments on this about

clickbait but before you publish your comment hear me out really quick is

clickbait good or is it bad well I guess that really depends on your opinion on

what clickbait means to you for most people on the internet or live streaming

most people think of it as being misled or deceived or just being untruthful to

the content think like V Bucks that never get distributed out from the stream you

go into or bogus giveaway streams that seem to never come to fruition or

mysteriously goes to a friend or you know your favorite out there the boobie

streamer hey just a little secret girls have boobs stop being mean to them

get over it and grow up for me personally I see clickbait in a

completely different light I see it as a way that's smart and strategic for you

to get discovered on platforms that don't really have an option for

discoverability or search ability hence think platforms that are live-streaming

like twitch so allow me to change your mind on clickbait let's start thinking

of clickbait is a content trap so if you can think of clickbait as a content trap

this will give you an opportunity to use the tips that I'm about to give you to

get discovered more because people are gonna click on your content and hey this

is your opportunity to make them a regular and perhaps even a subscriber in

your channel and I think last time I checked that's what you all asked for in

the comments so now that you know the proper way to think about click bait and

how it can help you and your content on platforms like twitch allow me to show

you some awesome click bait tips that actually work that's gonna help you

get discovered and noticed with your live streaming content let's go

clickbait tip number one is about having an attractive profile picture or an

alluring logo design I mean think about it

out of the pictures that are displayed here what do you notice first your eyes

attracted to things that are just more alluring that's the way that it works so

if you can have an attractive picture of yourself or you can have an alluring

logo design it helps you get noticed as people scroll through the browsing

section of a game category because your eyes gonna be attracted to what they

like and sorry people love seeing other attractive things and it doesn't have to

be just people it can be attractive logo designs if you have something that looks

like that was shot on a shitty camera you need to fix that use your iPhone a

lot of great image quality can come out of that if you have a logo design is

made in ms paint stop it replace it there's a lot of great free programs out

there where you can make a really cool design hey even check out my video on

canva.com that'll make you have a better logo design I'll put it up here in the

top of card so go ahead and check it out now that you've selected your handsome

or beautiful profile picture or logo design for your profile now we're going

to entice it to make sure that it stands out a little bit more and we're gonna

lump clickbait tip two and three into one tip here you're gonna separate

yourself from the pack by adding a border around it by adding these borders

that have maybe a little bit of higher saturation or brighter colors that go in

line with your gaming content or your personal branding when people click in

on a game category and they scroll through and browse guess what they're

gonna be attracted or their eye is going to be attracted to these bright colors

and borders that are around your video player and profile picture and for that

microsecond they're gonna take a look and see what that is and this gives you

an opportunity for them to click in on your content and this is a great way to

divide you from the people that are on the same concurrent level as you heck it

can even separate you out and get you notice from all the big boys and girls

that are streaming on Twitch this is a pretty cool tip it's no secret that

people like to play a lot of the same games I mean heck look at the top ten on

twitches list anytime you browse it's always the

same number of gams that are in there you got things like fortnight, dead by

daylight, PubG, legal legends the list goes on and on so if you're gonna stream

some of these games how do you get noticed in these games if there's a lot

of bigger streamers ahead of you well you kind of can't but you can compete

with the people better near you on a section so how do we divide you from

that section well if you're playing a game why don't you make your game

slightly a little bit better looking than the rest and there's some easy

tricks that you can do to do this if you're playing a game like dead by

daylight which looks the same through pretty much everybody's channel you got

a lot of D saturated colors everything is monotone or everything is muted and

the way that it is you know what you can do to separate yourself out as people

are scrolling through you can increase the saturation the contrast and the

brilliance within your gameplay so that way it stands out as people browse

through and you can do this with any game it is a super dope tip that'll get

you notice the eyes attracted to brilliance its attracted to contrast and

its attracted to higher saturation levels basically the eye looks for

awareness because of the brightness and tones and hence the eyes attracted that

and will look really quick at that video player quickly so why not bump up those

things on your channel our next clickbait tip is all about titles and

let's be honest coming up with a nice enticing title that people are gonna

click on is really really hard and if you suck at titles like I do normally

because you're running late you just want to stream you know you can do to

stand out you can add emojis or graphics within the title that makes it separate

from everybody else you can put a graphic in the front and at the end of

the characters that are allowed within the main title and guess what the eye is

gonna notice that really quickly and people will stop and check that out so

there's a really cool tip for people to stop and look at your title and

hopefully click in on it now if you're not sure how to add emojis or graphics

to your title I'll do you a favor leave a comment below and perhaps I'll make a

video on that to help you out in one of my upcoming videos our next tip is

something that solely has to do with you yeah you out there you should show your

face more on your twitch stream I can't tell you how many times I go into

somebody's channel and their video player is soo

for small I can barely see him or her and I know this is a tough one because a

lot of people don't feel comfortable in camera or they don't feel like they're

attractive and I understand that I don't feel comfortable on camera in hell I'm

not attractive but you got to get over your fears if you can put yourself in a

bigger and better position within your video player there and show a lot more

of you your enticing people to come in and get to notice you people love

looking at faces scientifically that's been proven people love looking at your

reactions they love seeing how you play the game and for an extra bro note for

all you people out there what you should really consider doing is having a bigger

cam for when you have things like intermissions or be right back screens

so that way people can kind of get like a personal one-on-one connection for you

you will be surprised at how much this pays off and if you like seeing my mug

you can always check me out on twitch.tv/wild4games normally

streaming there Tuesday Wednesdays and Thursdays at 8 p.m. Pacific Standard

Time check out the links below and if you like what you see you can even hit

that almighty sub button our next tip has to do with angles that's right I'm

going geometry on all of you out there but I'm talking about angles with your

camera I mean if you go to twitch or you go to mixer or you go to Facebook you go

to YouTube you go to any platform out there the general angle that most you

see is this right here straight on kind of human more you probably see a lot

more of this you probably see nothing but forehead and hunched shoulders as

people are going down onto keyboards this isn't really an attractive look for

me I mean well then again I'm never attractive but what you can do is play

around with angles of your camera don't be afraid to do a 1/4 3/4 a 1/8 turn do

a side profile put your camera up put your camera down look at angles that are

gonna entice your viewers that make you stand out from the rest of the people

and there's a lot of cool accessories out there where you can hang your web

camera differently or your SLR differently there's posts, goosenecks,

there's extenders there's a lot of different mounts out there if you're

curious on a video like that I'll be more than happy to do one just leave me

a comment below and I've already done a video on how to hang your web camera

easily which I'll put up here if you guys like to check that out now we

already went over titles but there's something on there that I didn't go

in-depth about that's really gonna help you out and to be honest I kind of

struggle with this myself and you know a lot of people do which is why I gotta

bring it up we all have to start making enticing and

engaging titles that are gonna make people click into our stream too many

times way too many times I see people just put random things in there and to

be honest I understand why thinking of an enticing or an alluring or an

engaging title it's really tough I mean we mostly just want to start streaming

so we can gain viewers or gain traction or gain and put out content but nobody's

gonna come in to our channel if we don't make something that's gonna be a nice

title to be like oh what is this channel about or what's the content it's

providing so start thinking about your titles there's a lot of things out there

that are clickbait that'll help out a lot with this and I mean healthy

clickbait you know if you're gonna be playing with viewers you need to start

putting that in your channel and start putting that in the first part so it

doesn't get cut off on the browser page hey are you streaming on a particular

platform like PC, PS4, Xbox Hey put that in parentheses at the beginning

so that way you attract the right kind of crowd that comes in there right away

these are some things that will help you stand out right off the bat and get you

the right type of viewership I need you all to stop thinking as clickbait as a

negative thing I want you to start thinking as a positive thing on how you

can be strategic with your impact on live streaming think of it as a Content

trap so that way when an audience member comes across your channel they'll click

on it and that is your opportunity to make them a viewer a regular a follower

and hopefully a subscriber and if you guys like this type of content and you

start getting a lot of subscribers please let me know because I love

hearing all the success stories so leave me a comment below if you'd like them to

do more videos on how to get you more people to come into your channel and if

you guys did like this video and you want to see more of my content you can

keep up with me on my Twitter and my Instagram and if you like what you see

here and you want to see more don't be afraid to mosey on over to twitch.tv/wild4games

and if you like what you see there you can even hit that

almighty subscribe button thank you to those that already have I will see you

all in my next stream support video coming up real soon

take care all peace

❄️ january 2019 // getting ready for changes - Duration: 4:21.

When I started thinking about making YouTube channel many months ago

I imagined everything vividly.

I imagined cutting the footage, picking the music,

I imagined writing the voiceover, and recording it.

I even saw myself translating the subtitles.

I did not, however, imagine the filming.

I've always been someone who prefers experiencing a moment over capturing it.

Filming, it turns out, is a habit,

and it feels weird at first.

Too weird to film your own birthday breakfast,

of which I have

this shot.

But it was my birthday this month.

My 30th birthday celebrations started with a pancake breakfast

Here is a slightly different but very similar shot

moved via some bookstores to coffee and

ended in a pub where I sat alone for a frightening half hour before my friends

showed up almost all at once.

It was a wonderful birthday week, with good food

and good conversation, some cards and presents,

and most of all:

a lot of hugs.

This was also the evening when I told my friends that I'm leaving London.

I move to Berlin in February, to start work there in March.

I will be staying with my cousin at first,

so the curtains still will not be my own choice,

but it's a step in the right direction.

It has not been an easy decision,

but it has been a long time coming.

My relationship with London has been

long and tumultuous and

in the past few years

wonderful.

London has challenged me.

I fell apart here, more than once,

but also found ways to put myself back together.

But this is it:

it's the end of a time in my life.

January was a month of planning and preparing.

I gave notice at my job and flat share,

helped find my replacements,

went through a lot of paperwork to sort

banking, health insurance and all the exciting stuff,

and of course I bought

enough books to get me over the first few months.

I started decluttering with the help of a certain Japanese lady,

getting rid of clothes and books that I

don't want to take with me.

To prepare for the new job I had my hair bleached,

hated it,

and dyed it pink

because, what the hell.

I went to rehearsals,

played Dungeons and Dragons with my co-workers

visited book shops

and spend time with people I care about.

There were breakfasts and dinners and drinks

and the slow realization of what

exactly it is that I'm leaving behind:

a life.

A good one.

A lot of this, I didn't film.

But there have been so many moments this month

that I wanted to capture, to hold on to somehow.

Words don't do them justice.

I'm not sure film would.

But I'll try that next month.

Adobe Connect Meeting for Students - What We're Excited About ! - Duration: 2:46.

Like Saba Meeting, Adobe Connect Meeting is web conferencing.

You receive your login information by email from NO-REPLY@contactnorth.ca with the subject line …welcome to Adobe Connect.

Plug in your audio equipment, go to the login link in the email, then login and find your session, and click Attend to join.

You'll need to wait for your instructor, the Host, to open the session. As a student or participant, you'll start with a Speaker icon and

Status options in the upper menu bar.

Then, your instructor can grant additional capabilities: a microphone, webcam broadcasting, and markup tools.

We're excited about the different layouts and tools – or pods - your instructor can use to show a variety of content and interactivity.

And they can easily switch between preset pod layouts throughout the session.

We're also loving these additional tools that students now have in an Adobe Connect Meeting session.

From the Chat pod dropdown menu, you can change your Chat font size and select your preferred font colour.

You can also see when others are typing in the chat pod.

And, having chat show in the session recording provides a more complete session review.

Your instructor can easily share links by adding them to PowerPoint files or PDF files directly, or by pasting them into the Chat pod.

When they use the Files pod, you can download a file or control-click to select and download multiple files at a time.

And if the capability is granted to you, you will be able to export a copy of a Whiteboard exercise.

You'll have full tools and options when you attend by desktop or laptop computer however you can attend with a mobile device.

Tablets now have markup tools and more Status options than smartphones however both now show webcam video and screen shared

content. For now, though, session recordings are only viewable on a computer.

When your instructor ends the session, they have the option to automatically bring you to a specific website for more resources or perhaps

a survey about the course.

For more student information about Adobe Connect Meeting, please visit the participant help page at

eclassesconnect.contactnorth.ca.

How to Make Money with Photography for Beginners - Duration: 4:03.

in this video i want to talk about how you can make money with photography for beginners.

now as you become a more experienced photographer there's going to be more ways that you can

make money with your camera.

however in the beginning you don't have a lot of experience and your options are really

limited.

so what i want to do is focus on five ways that you can start making money with your

camera now and these are also things that are going to help you gain experience and

become a better photographer which will lead to more ways that you can make money with

photography in the future.

the first method is microstock photography.

now that is where you upload your photos to a microstock site and they then license those

out to buyers and give you a small percentage of each sale.

now you're not going to get rich off of this but you can generate passive income over time.

which you know $50, $100 a month at the end of the year can purchase a new lens or help

you upgrade your camera body.

whenever you upload a photo to a microstock site it is either accepted or rejected.

If it is out of focus.

If the white balance is off.

If the pictures just not any good.

Its going to get rejected and this is going to teach you to become a better photographer

which will lead to better jobs in the future.

the next thing that you can do is become a second shooter to an experienced photographer.

now this is something that you can make money at and learn at the same time.

often you will see wedding photographers say that they need a second shooter for a wedding.

They're willing to pay $50 an hour.

You know its four hours long.

that's $200 plus you get experience.

I would recommend joining a local facebook group where photographers might be asking

for a second shooter or you can go in there and say hey im looking to be a second shooter

is anybody interested?

method number three is to look at companies like Meero or AirBNB. these are companies

that subcontract photographers all across the nation to go out shoot real estate and

things like that.

you don't even have to edit the photos most of the time.

they want a consistent look that they offer to their clients.

they just need you to go to the location, shoot the RAWS and upload them.

so it's pretty easy work and if you're new to photography that could be a great way to

bring in some money and gain a lot of experience at the same time.

method number four is a photo booth service.

now you don't actually have to have a booth to do this.

a lot of photographers will just simply setup a fun background at a wedding or a corporate

event, maybe have some props.

people get in front of it they act silly they get a photo.

that's really all there is to it and the good thing about it is there's less competition

because most professionals aren't interested in spending their time taking snapshots like

this.

they're out doing the big weddings.

they're doing fine art portraiture.

it's not something they really want to do so for someone who is new to photography it

is a great way to gain experience dealing with customers, how to take photos in a studio

setting and you can build a business and actually make good money doing it.

so a photo booth service is something that you might want to look into.

now if you really want to make money with photography tip number five is the most important

one and that is to just simply get out there and practice, get better becoming a photographer

and get better at running a business.

I know nobody want to hear that but that is the truth.

if you want to make money and open up more opportunities, you need to get good at what

you're doing.

So watch as many videos as you can.

Read as many articles as you can.

Get out there and practice.

Become a better photographer.

Learn how to take better photos and trust me after time goes by you will have more opportunities

to make money with your camera.

so that's my five ways of how to make money with photography for beginners.

i hope you like this video.

If you did subscribe.

Like this video if you liked it and I will see you in the next one.

Elisabeth Moss and Susan Sarandon Team Up For 'Call Jane,' Women's Rights Drama | THR News - Duration: 2:06.

Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss is teaming up with Oscar winner Susan Sarandon

on a women's rights project titled 'Call Jane.'

In the film, Moss will play Joy, a traditional 1960s American housewife who is desperate

for a child. But her pregnancy poses a threat to her life and she has nowhere to turn

until she find an underground abortion movement called the Janes - based on

The Jane Collective which operated in Chicago from 1969-1973, when abortion

was still illegal. Sarandon will play Virginia, the Janes leader.

The subject matter is particularly relevant now at a time when women's rights have

once again come into question and the pro-life vs pro-choice debate rages on.

Sian Heder will direct the feature while Moss will also produce along with

Robbie Brenner, the Oscar-nominated producer of 'Dallas Buyers Club.'

For her part, the topic of pregnancy and women's rights is a theme that Moss is

well familiar with as an actress. She has been giving an incredible performance as

June in Hulu's dystopian nightmare 'The Handmaid's Tale' since it premiered

in April 2017. Said Moss,
