GRWM | Yara Shahidi, YA Casting, Colorism and The Sun is Also a Star - Duration: 8:24.

um hi everyone so I'm recording near a window because there's loadshedding

so any noises that you hear might be people going to lunch and I apologize

for that and I'm also like kinda doing a bit of my make-up. anyway, today I wanted

to talk about what did I want I want to talk about casting and young adult books

so the thing I think it was yesterday or the day before you said okay it was the day

before yesterday I was on Instagram and then I happen to go on my Instagram

explorer and I end up on Yara Shahidi's instastory and I

discovered that she's playing the role of Natasha from the Sun is also a star

and I happen to have a lot of feelings about it like my initial feelings was I

was really disappointed, I was really angry and yeah so I just obviously the

natural thing when you find out about these things to go on Twitter and write

a mini rant which I did and I'm like okay what is exactly upsetting me is

that it's like a Hollywood trend to cast light-skinned black woman or

light-skinned biracial woman for like plenty of these

roles I for example am Amandla Stenberg is not a a woman but she was cast for

Everything Everything the same author from the Sun is Also a Star which is Nicola

Yoon which is cool because in Everything Everything it makes sense because I

forgot what the character's name is in Everything Everything. I also haven't

watched that film yet actually and but the author like the main character

there is biracial obviously they miss some of the marks because their mother is I

think Japanese and the mother in the film was black but yeah okay whatever

and then also like another big controversy was when Amandla again is

cast for the role of Starr in The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas people are

obviously rightfully upset cuz in the book I don't know in the

book how they describe Starr but everyone assumed that Starr is like dark-skinned

because of it when you look at the book covers she was portrayed as a

dark-skinned black girl and I don't know what the significance of that if they

wanted like people to like buy the book and like support it because it seemed

like I don't know if it got it gains more sympathy I don't know but anyway

back to Natasha, Yara Shahidi and the Sun is Also a Star I then went back to read

the Sun is Also a Star okay, not like read the whole thing because I bought a

physical copy I think last year or two years ago and I so I decided to like go

back and read and like know what how Natasha looks so when we meet Natasha

it's through Daniel the love interests eyes and Daniel describes Natasha as

just being black and having like an afro and she was just listening to music

on her on her speakers and everything and like okay I'm cool with that. oh my word, my hair is showing. just a minute please. Okay, I'm back

so I was like okay I'm cool with Natasha being black but I do have a problem with

how roles such as one young adult roles going to light-skinned black women or

biracial black women all of the time it obviously is a systemic issue which is

colorism which benefits light-skinned black woman over dark-skinned black

women and it's a reoccurring theme in Hollywood like you see it with roles

such as what's this Storm who's always cast as a light-skinned black woman when

in fact Storm is a dark-skinned black woman and you see it in like it's a

multiple thing okay there's people talking okay anyway so it's like a multiple thing

that's like very it's very it's like a reoccurring theme in Hollywood and I

don't I'm fed up with it at this point in time and I

think that the actresses or the actors have a responsibility to be like you

know what I shouldn't be taking this role because it's meant for another

black skinned woman who's darker and I don't know what the intention like I

don't know if I'm the only one in the Sun is Also a Star who imagined

Natasha being dark skinned because Natasha's like from Jamaica and I'm not

saying that all Jamaicans are like dark skinned and where I'm even like reading

a book where the I think not I think I'm reading Here Comes the Sun and one of

the main characters, Thandi is like dark skinned and she's like going through all

this journey of trying to like lighten her skin so she's like buying like like

skin lightening products which again we come back to the issue of colorism and I

think now going back I think the actresses and the actors have like a

duty to be like no I think you should cast this and I don't know like if obviously

I'm still trying to resolve my feelings or like about all of this because again

Natasha is not really described as like her complexion is not described and then

another thing is another thing that I also like wanted to talk about is like I

don't know how Nicola Yoon imagined sorry I'm just checking how long the

time is for listening I don't know how Nicola Yoon imagined like

Natasha to me because I know that Nicola Yoon is like also sorry again. noise. Nicola Yoon writes

her stories basically not just for her readers but for her child who's

of mixed heritage so Nicola Yoon is Jamaican black Jamaican and her husband

I think is Korean so they have like a biracial kid and I think it's really

important for her to for her daughter to like see herselves in these books and I

don't know then like if she's writing for mainly for her daughter as well and I

don't want to like take that away from her because it is her power obviously to

write in any way that she wants to write and then

another thing this looks horrendous but whatever but I think like it's about

time to like like we talked about colorism like a lot of people have been

talking about colorism but like in the YA community it's like a reoccurring

theme again and I'm kind of like tired of film adaptations always casting these

people not these people but light-skinned black woman and if you

have any thoughts about that like tell me how about how you feel how you feel

about Yara's I don't know Yara and this whole thing and like just try to be nice

about it obviously I think also people spoke to Yara about this regarding Grown-ish

and like the whole thing of my skin and then it was like a weird thing

because I think she blocked some other people when they were trying to talk

about this I don't know if she unblocked them but yeah I think she's

aware but it's not enough to be aware you have to have a plan of action at

some point saying no because yeah and I think she's really intelligent enough to

know about these issues and again tell me how you feel about this if you've read

the Sun is Also a Star. I would recommend it to people I really enjoyed that book and

like it wasn't majorly realistic but I just really enjoyed the manner of

storytelling that it was done in and yeah I always love reading like it's

people of color falling in love with people of color as well and yeah so tell me how

you think about that I'm sorry for the long video I've been doing eight-minute

videos lately but it's yeah and I'll see you next time

and goodbye

Shin Chan - The House is Suddenly in Trouble - English subs (Japanese version) - Duration: 8:43.

The House is Suddenly in Trouble

The weather's so nice today.

I feel like something good is going to happen today.

Please, Shinnosuke, don't play next to the clothes.

Okay!

That brat runs too fast...

But what about this?

W-Well, it could be worse...

Shinnosuke is gonna regret that.

That's broken as well...

On days like this, I'm happy I at least bought cheap, light futons...

But the house is beginning to wear out...

<i>If the wall cracked from just Shinnosuke's weak kick...</i>

Shinnosuke, catch it!

Okay!

So tiring!

It's gonna get dirty!

Mom...

Come on, don't worry.

<i>At least nobody got hurt.</i>

Well, the foundation is ready.

Now we just need to put on the covering.

There's still 32 years of mortgage to pay, so we need to take care of the house.

Why's it so heavy?

I knew it... What're ya doing?

I wanted to help.

Messing with me doesn't count as helping.

How can I be messing with you if I haven't made a mess?

It doesn't matter. I don't have time to talk, this is dangerous work.

So go on inside.

It's not as dangerous as bungee jumping with your underpants' elastic band, is it?

Of course not!

Let me help you, please!

No way!

Dad...

Please, let me help you!

Do you think that's a proper way to ask?

You should knee, not lay!

But Dad, I wanna be a gentle person!

I need to learn how to do these kinds of jobs to become one!

Well said!

That's my big little boy!

Dad!

Come on! What are you doing? Fix it today, not tomorrow!!

Perfect.

Shinnosuke, give me the hammer.

Here you go.

This is not a hammer, it's a lighter!

You should have said so before...

Son, don't you know what a hammer is?

Okay, hold the board hard.

Okay.

<i>One, two...</i>

Why didn't you hold it?

I am holding it.

Not the butterfly, the board...

<i>Look at that... We'll have to start again...</i>

I'm gonna prepare some tea...

This is broken too?

Hima, stop! That's makeup remover!

What's going on?

Another skirt that's too small for her?

C'mon...

What happened here?

Did Mom break everything with her brute force?

Obviously not!

That table was just old...

Do you smell gas?

Oops! I left it on. If someone lights a fire...

Like this one?

We still have 32 years of mortgage left...

A-At least we're safe and sound.

And we didn't destroy the whole neighborhood...

M-Mom!

Since when do you take indoor tanning sessions?

Stop joking around!

We have to figure out what to do now.

So what do you think? Shall we have a press conference?

I didn't mean that.

To start with, we cannot stay here.

Yes, there is no gas or water...

So where are we going to sleep tonight?

That's what we were discussing, Shin-chan.

We don't have a reef over our heads...

You mean "roof"...

What will happen to our family?

And in this modern apathetic society, we can't stay with our neighbors...

So yeah, the only thing we can do is this!

Thank you for supporting us all this time.

The <i>Crayon Shin-chan</i> series has come to an end.

Thank you for everything!

<i>"The End"</i>

Goodbye forever!

The show isn't ending!

It'll continue! Of course it will!!

<i>"To Be Continued"</i>

Is Hemp Protein Better Than Whey Protein - Duration: 6:00.

As hemp protein better than whey protein

them protein in recent years increased research has been performed on the benefits

of hand protein in comparison with other more traditional protein sources

can protein is plant based and has the benefits of being a natural environmentally friendly

and sustainable source of protein suitable for human consumption

temp protein is extracted from the seed of the hemp plant and is composed mainly of the

easily digestible a destin and albumin forms of protein

the protein is part of the meal that remains after oils have been extracted from the seed and contains not only protein but also important

unsaturated fats to such as a meager three and omega six in addition to other beneficial nutrients

him protein contains most of the essential amino acids in suitable quantities and

supporters claim that it is a high quality protein with a specially high levels of Argentine

and therefore it is a better choice than whey protein

yet despite the fact that it is a sustainable vegetarian source of protein

there are other key factors that need to be considered

we protein we protein is a readily available and inexpensive protein supplement

we protein is usually extracted during the process of cheese production

it is commonly dried and grind it into a powered form for later use such as a diet supplement

we protein contain all T HR essential a Nino acids and it has a fast metabolic uptake in the body

bodybuilders tend to favor way protein a over other forms of protein as it is particularly high in

branch chain amino acids with the best biological value as explained below

the main drawback of whey protein is it being sourced from milk making it unsuitable for

some people with lactose intolerance even in its purest form as way isolates

it is also an animal product and thus on suitable for people pursuing a Vegan lifestyle biological value and coz to measure the quality

of a protein a scale called the biological value is often used

by calculating the nitrogen used for tissue formation divided by the nitrogen a absorbed from food and then multiplying by 100 we get a

number that expresses the percentage of nitrogen utilized by the body

the biological value provides a measurement of how efficient the body utilizes protein consumed in the diet to build muscles

therefore the biological value of a protein is a key factor for bodybuilders and strength trainers the biological value however fails to

take into account some key values concerning human digest chin and the essential amino acids

therefore another scale called the protein digest ability corrected a Nino acid score or picked as for short is now considered the gold

standard in comparing the efficiency of proteins for overall health as it looks at a variable of

factors such as the availability of essential amino acids for example

which protein is best

in purses way the question on way either hemp or whey protein is better depends entirely on the needs of the consumer

from the perspective of a bodybuilder a protein source with a high biological value and a

diverse amino acid profile barb Kaye is our high is the best choice

looking at the table above we see that way protein is clearly the best choice for bodybuilders are anyone primarily interested in

strength training due to its superior biological value and a full mark imp can is

from the perspective of people that need a source of protein primarily as a supplement for a protein deficient diet

the biological value becomes a less important

looking at the same table we see that a variety of way eggs soy and casein is the optimal

approach as the sources contain all the amino acids needed for a healthy lifestyle

however for those that pursue a Vegan diet

the only reasonable sources of protein supplements car then soy and hemp again since soy has upped close of 1.0 while hemp

as a value of 0.61 so why is a better choice for overall health

it is only in the case of supplementing for strength training while on a Vegan diet that hand protein shines

the relatively high biological value of hemp makes it the ideal choice assuming that all

necessary amino acids are already obtained form regular diet

so is hemp rubbish and less you're a Vegan bodybuilder not all can't meal is low in

saturated fat and contains the essential fatty acids Amiga three and omega six

in the optimal 3 to 1 ratio

can't meal is also rich in fiber as opposed to weigh isolate which has none of most interest is a animal study published in 2008 which

suggested that hemp seed protein may have a anti fatigue and immune enhancing benefits

lee at Don towle 2008 and other animal study published in 2011 found that hemp protein supplemented diets improved kidney function

and cardiac hypertrophy associated with kidney disease Aki Mah at Don tell 2010

nevertheless for a bodybuilder way protein supplements are clearly the best choice unless you are on a Vegan diet

in which case hand protein becomes better as long as you are getting all the essential amino acids from your regular diet
