Today we look at a three biggest mistakes businesses do on Facebook and

how you can fix them.

The first one is not thinking about what your audience

actually was too many people are talking about themselves and their own stories

their own products on social media, but unless you're a brand like Apple or like

Kim Kardashian or someone like that, people mostly don't really care about

you or about what you have to say. So you have to focus on what people are

interested in. Think about what your audience is interested in. For example if

you're in the fitness and health industry people might be interested in

tutorials about how to get more healthy, tutorials on nutrition,

tips, inspirational stuff, challenges,... not all the content you put out is to be

about the yoga class you're trying to sell.

Number two is acting too much like a business.

Social media is for people so if you go on Facebook as a business

you're already disadvantaged. So try to be as human as possible, create real

connections, be genuine, actually connect with people, respond to comments, engage

with other people's content and be human on the platform. It's important to have a

personality and don't just push out your content from your business, but actually

have a personality on there and engage in conversation with other users. That's

the best way to create a sense of community and a following.

The third one is

not tracking results. You don't need to spend your entire day

analyzing Facebook data and analytics, but you need to have an idea of what

kind of content is working better for you and what content is

actually not working for you. Especially if you're paying for it. So if you're

sharing content and your goal is to create awareness and create our

community around your business, you might look at stats like how many people see

your content, and how many people engage with your content.

If you're trying to send people off social media and on your website, then you need to know

things like how many people actually click on the link to go on your

website, how much time do they spend on your website, is the landing page - the

page where they arrived after they click on your post - is that optimized, does

that work for them, is that relevant to whatever the post was about. So you need

to kind of know all these things to make sure you're not wasting time and resources on

social media.

So to recap: focus on what your audience wants, be human and

track your results. If you do these three things social media will work for your

business and help you scale and get more clients.

Jack Wilshere insists he could have made an impact for England at World Cup

Jack Wilshere has taken to social media to express his frustration at missing out on Englands World Cup squad.

The Arsenal midfielder was a notable absentee when Gareth Southgate announced his 23-man squad on Wednesday, with Wilshere tweeting his belief he could have made a real impact in Russia.

, Wilshere tweeted.

It goes without saying that Im naturally incredibly disappointed to have been left out of the England squad for the World Cup.

Ive felt fit, sharp and strong all season and believe I should be in the squad!.

And given the chance I could have made a real impact.

However, I have to respect the managers decision and would like to wish the whole squad all the very best for the tournament.

I will always be an England fan and will be supporting the boys with the rest of the nation.

Wilshere played 38 times for the Gunners this season but only 20 of those came in the Premier League and Southgate decided he had better midfield options available to him.

A number of other high-profile players - including Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, Southampton full-back Ryan Bertrand and Manchester United centre-back Chris Smalling - also missed the cut but Wilshere is the first to speak publicly about his disappointment.

England will play two friendlies before travelling to Russia, against Nigeria at Wembley on June 2 before they take on Costa Rica at Elland Road five days later.

The World Cup starts on June 14.

England first play Tunisia four days later, before facing Panama on June 24 and Belgium on June 28.
