Waching daily Nov 28 2018

Hey there!

This time we are giving you some advice on how to find and recruit players to your forming

or truncated team.

Building on the previous guides, this should help your amateur esport team if you are in

need of new players at any stage.

Hello guys and welcome to the dojo!

This is our next episode in our amateur team series, we talked about team goals and schedules

in the previous guide, click the card now to check it out.

As the team forms and player slots fill from your acquaintances and friends, you get closer

to a full lineup.

Finding new players can be challenging, so we are going to discuss this transitional

state of an amateur team.

This guide is about how to find proper players that match the already existing lineup and

what your options are if you still want to play some scrims during this period.

A big thanks for all our supporters on Patreon for helping us creating these episodes.

Support us now with a pledge and you can get coaching or team incubation in return!

So let's begin with how to find players for your team.

You can post ads on different Discord servers and online sites.

We basically covered this from the player's perspective in a previous video, check it

out for details.

You can use the knowledge there to post proper ads and begin trialing players.

You can trial more than one players The following points are the most important to pay attention

to:

We can't mention this enough, a fitting schedule is the most important.

Make sure that the new player has the same commitment as your members.

Too little is a no-go, too much may cause friction on the long run.

Judge the player's personality, ask your team if they would love to play with the candidate.

Sometimes a member of your team will veto a player because he just can't deal with

the voice or how he or she acts during stress.

Listen to your core team.

The skill of the candidate is really important to judge as well.

Does the player do their job well?

Is he working with the team properly?

Are you willing to adjust to her playstyle?

All these questions are really important and the team's decision on the player should

be unanimous.

You want to eliminate all potential future wrangles as early as you can.

If anyone disagrees strongly, just look for another candidate.

If you need help with a review, Omnicoach is an AI VOD review and coaching service which

you can use to check your players.

Click the card now to see it in action!

So what to do during the period when you don't have a full team?

There are channels where you can look for ringers - players who are willing to fill

slots in a team and play scrims with you.

This can help keeping the core of the team active during these times and also helps bonding

between members.

So if you are looking for a ringer, just post your average SR and the positions and time

slot when you are playing and you will usually find players to jump in and fill a slot in

the team.

If you are solo player watching this guide, ringing can give you nearly the same experience

that you get from being part of a core team.

Look for ringer ads on big OW Discords!

Alright, let's talk about disbanding, as this can be a sensitive topic.

There are times when it's not worth to salvage a team.

However hard you try as a member, if the others are not willing to keep the team active or

fill the slots or change something that would help the group, you are usually doomed to

fail in reviving the team.

We can say this from experience: just let it go, take a break and then look for another

team with different members.

If you need help in dealing with something like this, our Discord is there to ask your

questions about anything that troubles you in Overwatch or building your team.

If you like our video guides, give us a like and subscribe enabling the bell.

See you guys in the next one!

Chris Paul Injury: Update on Rockets Guard & Timeline for Return | Heavy.com - Duration: 4:21.

Chris Paul Injury: Update on Rockets Guard & Timeline for Return | Heavy.com

The Houston Rockets followed up a five-game win streak by dropping three straight games as of late.

All three losses came on the road, two of which were in overtime and one in the middle against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Each loss also featured All-Star guard Chris Paul sitting out, as he's dealt with what was originally called a leg injury.

With the Rockets now looking to right the ship Wednesday against the Dallas Mavericks, it seems there's a chance Paul may remain out once again.

Unfortunately, that may not even be the biggest reason for concern at this point either.

In an update provided by Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni in which he called Paul questionable for the Mavericks game, he added an interesting piece of info.

According to Mark Berman of Fox 26, D'Antoni revealed the veteran guard's injury is apparently a hamstring issue.

This means Paul will miss his fifth game of the season to this point, as he was sidelined for a two-game stretch earlier in the year.

The Rockets fell in both of those games, with the first coming on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers and the second to the Utah Jazz at home.

On the year, the Rockets are now 0-4 when Paul is not in the lineup and 9-6 when he plays.

Latest on Chris Paul's Injury and Timeline.

There hasn't been much provided about Paul's status aside from D'Antoni's recent comments.

It seems he's truly the definition of "day-to-day" moving forward.

As Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle cited, the Rockets guard's injury had previously been called a "sore left leg." He was originally expected to sit out the game against the Cavaliers as a rest day, but that didn't prove to be the case.

Following Wednesday's game against the Mavericks, the Rockets have a day off before the start of a back-to-back on Friday.

The team will first head on the road game to face the San Antonio Spurs to begin the two-game set and then have a home matchup with the Chicago Bulls on Saturday.

After Monday's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Rockets have two days off.

While nothing is set in stone currently, there's reason to believe Paul's injury isn't overly serious, as he was questionable ahead of last game and seemingly had a chance to play.

He should be able to return to the lineup in the very near future, but D'Antoni and the coaching staff could opt to play it safe with him.

We'll update as any additional information is provided.

New Transfer on Death Beneficiary Designation Form for Motor Vehicles in Minnesota - Duration: 1:27.

Today's topic is specifically for Minnesota residents and it's about a

change in the law the Minnesota Legislature made in 2017

they now allow you to provide a transfer on death designation for your motor

vehicle here in my hands is a copy of the form from the Minnesota DMV website

it allows you to fill out your title and also fill out beneficiary information

who you would like to leave the vehicle to upon your death now you may be familiar

with transfer on death designations for financial accounts but to my

knowledge this is one of the few states that are allowing you to do this here in

Wisconsin we don't allow this for vehicles it's a nice option if you have

a vehicle and you think it may be your last and you want to leave it to a

specific person or child you can go to the Minnesota DMV website get a copy of

the form and fill it out or if you use my office for your estate planning we're

happy to provide that to you along with the rest of your estate planning

documents so if you're Minnesota resident be aware that you can now fill out this

transfer on death beneficiary designation form for your motor vehicle

and that can help the vehicle avoid probate at your death. Thanks for

watching!

Justin Jackson Fantasy: Outlook for Chargers RB in Week 13 | Heavy.com - Duration: 4:50.

Justin Jackson Fantasy: Outlook for Chargers RB in Week 13 | Heavy.com

Heading into Week 12 of the NFL season, there was a looming question of whether the Los Angeles Chargers would let Melvin Gordon play through his injuries.

The talented running back was dealing with multiple ailments ahead of the matchup with the Arizona Cardinals.

In the end, Gordon convinced the coaching staff to let him play and had a brutally unfortunate end to his day.

After suffering a hit to the knee, Gordon left the game having already scored two touchdowns and was well on his way to 100 yards.

But it wasn't the fact he wouldn't be able to build on his impressive start to the game that caused concern, but instead was the new knee injury.

As NFL Network's Ian Rapoport revealed after the game, the Chargers back suffered a grade 2 MCL sprain.

It's brutal news for Gordon, the team and even fantasy football players, as he will now likely miss multiple weeks, including the fantasy playoffs.

So while players who have Gordon on their fantasy roster attempt to choose what direction to go on waivers, one name makes for an interesting discussion.

Although Austin Ekeler is expected to receive a fair amount of the workload with his backfield mate out, rookie Justin Jackson logged more carries on Sunday.

In the 45-10 win over the Cardinals, Jackson was given seven carries, resulting in 57 yards while Ekeler turned five carries into 35 yards and a score.

There's a lot to be considered when figuring out whether to use a waiver on Jackson, especially if Ekeler is still out there, so let's evaluate the fantasy impact of the situation.

Should You Add Justin Jackson on Fantasy Waivers?.

Although Jackson was able to carve out a solid role in this game, he only played 19 percent of the team's offensive snaps, per Football Outsiders.

For comparison's sake, Gordon played 38 percent before the injury while Ekeler also received 38 percent and Detrez Newsome picked up 12 percent.

Jackson did receive work before it was full-blown garbage time, but when you consider that Ekeler finished the game with 10 catches on 11 targets, it's hard not to lean that way on waivers.

Assuming the Chargers wind up playing in games that are closer than the one we saw in Week 12, it will likely be Ekeler receiving the bulk of the work with Jackson spotting him.

I don't mind targeting Jackson as a potential waiver wire option if you have a roster spot, but Ekeler would be my primary target if available.

Expectations should also likely be tempered if you do pick up Jackson, as it's unknown if he'll continue the strong play moving forward.

After all, the former Northwestern back had just five carries for seven yards all season before this game.

I'd lean towards targeting Jackson as an option in 14-team leagues or above, as there's not much reason to drop down to 10 or 12-teamers unless you badly need a running back.

How we raised 13K for charity using FME Server to automate a silent auction - Duration: 6:29.

So today I'm here with Dale and Jen and we're going to be talking about the Great

FME – wait – Great Auction...?

The Great FME Auction of 2018.

We had all this stuff in our office that we wanted to distribute out to staff primarily

in the most fair and equitable, and perhaps random way that we possibly could.

One thing that was kind of funny, is I know that some people had brought personal items into

their office and were quite surprised to see stickers on them and that they were part of

the auction.

Yeah, I know that one person had a lamp, he goes "wait a minute this is my lamp!"

The idea of an auction goes back to where Don and I used to work at MacDonald Dettwiler

years and years ago.

They would once in a while hold an auction to get rid of old equipment and the staff

would all take part in that.

And so we always have had that tradition here of the auction.

There's been many many auctions of pieces of things that have been part of our DNA,

and we've always – what we added to it was that we always wanted the proceeds to go to

some charity locally.

There's lots of needs in our community. And so we've given to different things to

support those not as fortunate as us.

So there's something called Night Shift that we've given to, that helps get people off

the street, and the Fraser – FRAFCA I think – The Fraser Aboriginal Youth society that's

just down the road here, that's been one of the targets.

But over the years, many times we've also gone to, had the money go to,

well the food bank actually, another one.

But this time around we went to Surrey Homelessness & Housing, which exists to create affordable

housing to get people into something and off the street.

And so that's been, we think, a very well run organization, and so that's been one

that we've done several years now around this time of year to support.

Now this will be one of our biggest fundraisings for that.

800 items were up for sale.

So I walked down the hall to Jen and said "I have a great challenge for you Jen.

Can we somehow used FME Server to create an auction system in the next, roughly, hour?"

Yeah, well it was more like a week luckily, I would not have built that in an hour.

Right

But, yes.

So then, Jen went away to figure out, first of all, how can we catch when somebody fills

in a Google Form?

Because we didn't want to write a new front end thing.

So we're going to use Google Forms as our entry, and so how can you catch when somebody

types a bid in to record it properly?

Well that was the tough part because we have the Google Sheets Reader, so originally I was

like we could just keep reading it, but then you'd have to set that up on a schedule

and maybe read it like every 30 seconds.

And then if people have bid on that same item within that 30 seconds, potentially, you'd

have to start building loads of logic around it, and that was going to be slow.

So then it was…

I probably spent a day actually just trying to work out how to do this part.

But like, Google lets you write scripts.

That, as soon as you fill in the form and it adds a row to that spreadsheet, it will send

a notification out like a POST message.

So you could use that to post to FME Server and it would be instant then, which was good.

So then as soon as someone has filled in that form, FME Server knows about it and then can

go and look at that form or take that – it sends a JSON message to FME Server – and

it will take that work out if they are the highest bidder, and then can send them an

email and say like "yeah you're the highest bidder!" or "no you're not, the highest

bid is X."

So I just reused those scripts.

So whenever someone could go and request either their bid history, which would be everything

they've ever bid on, or just what they're winning right now.

Yes.

So then that would send them back a nice email that would tell you like, these are the things

you're winning right now, and then it would have underneath the list of everything.

And so one of the items we had up for sale was a van.

And people were bidding in dollar, I'm kind of exaggerating here, but there were lots

of big items going at a dollar each bid.

Then the first request was let's make them bid at least in round dollars.

Yeah, so you originally set the form up for me

Yes.

And that was basically any number greater than zero, I think was the original one.

So then because people started bidding these decimal points, we had to – I changed the

form because it was the quickest way to stop people doing this, to say it would only allow

whole numbers.

But you can only have one rule on a Google Form at once.

So like, I knew at that point people could bid minus numbers, but I was thinking "you

know what, like Safe has good people here…"

We're not going to pay people to take stuff.

Yeah, then like about a week later people started bidding minus numbers.

They did?

Yep.

So in the end, I had to start adding that logic into the workspaces.

And so it was going to end at noon, actually, a week ago right now, probably.

Yes.

Noon, last Friday.

Yeah, there were a lot more people down here.

And actually we had the big screen with the activity log scrolling by and everybody sitting

there with their sniping ready to go.

And what was happening for you Jen?

You were sitting right in the middle of it.

Oh my gosh, well I wanted to bid on a bunch of stuff.

So I was trying to bid on things, as well as keeping an eye on things.

So you're trying to watch Slack at the same time, but you're trying to keep an eye out

for your lot numbers that are going by, as well as trying to bid.

And I'm trying to like, not panic because I'm not sure it's actually going to stop

at 12.

Yes, oh because that was in the logic?

Yeah, because we needed it to call for, I think it was like 12:00:01.

Anything at that time or after wouldn't get counted.

Were you using the DateTime functionality in FME for this?

I was.

Oh! That's exciting.

Anyway, good learning.

Overall, FME came through.

It survived, yeah!

Came through.

We learned some stuff.

We distributed all these things to staff, in a... somewhat fair, and random way.

And made some money for Surrey Homelessness & Housing.

How much did the van end up going for?

I think it was close to 3000.

That's what I think.

Close to $3000

But that was a hot item like people were bidding on that a lot throughout.

And in increments of more than a dollar.

Yes.

And then I think in total when the auction finished I added up everyone's bids, it

was around $13,000.

Thirteen thousand dollars, yeah.

Behind the Scenes of a FAILED VANcation and what you need for a hike! - Duration: 15:21.

- This is our weekend.

The van not turning on.

(engine ignition studders)

No vancation for over night?

- No vancation.

Alright, well we'll just do two day trips, it'll be great.

Yesterday.

The Cascades, it was rainy AF.

[Shayla] It's raining so hard.

I have no idea what we're going to be able to get into.

- [Seth] It's not raining that hard, it's just really wet.

- [Shayla] That's true.

- Today it cleared up.

So we decided just to have a little picnic, hiker lunch.

- Okay

- [Seth] I'm basically a pro. - Pouring in here.

I probably shouldn't hold it on my hand.

Ow, ow, ow.

- [Seth] It's a little warm?

- Well it's boiling water so, that was my bad.

Hey guys!

My name is Shayla.

I've just hit my chin when I did that.

Hey guys!

My name is Shayla and I make these videos every Wednesday.

I've been traveling full time since 2015

and this Wednesday, I am in Washington

where we will be for the next four weeks.

I make these videos every Wednesday

to inspire you and encourage you to create

the life that you want.

So really think about what you want.

If that means full time travel, cool.

If that means starting a family, awesome.

If that means joining your local Crossfit Gym, do that.

Just do something to spice up your life.

If you're into that please subscribe.

If you want to see between every Wednesday,

please follow me on Instagram, it's: @livingonaoneway.

This week we partnered with Backcounty,

and if you guys are headed out

on a camping trip or an outdoorsy trip,

check out Backcountry.

They have everything that you could possibly need.

Everything that was in the video

will be in the description, below.

So if you're interested in the jet boil,

or the solar panel, or our jackets, or anything,

that will be below.

It was initially a vancation video;

where we go on a vacation in my van.

And it quickly turned into a video,

more talking about how to roll with the punches.

From traveling and knowing that whenever you plan

a trip, whenever you plan an event,

whenever you plan something,

there are bound to be things that go wrong.

When we went out to the van to head out on our trip,

the van didn't start.

You either let that completely destroy everything

or you roll with the punches.

Okay.

Well let's take the jeep

and do two day trips, that'll be great.

The scenery was beautiful

and then we did something that I absolutely loved.

A jet boil picnic.

Meaning, We hiked out to this cute this spot,

with this cute little view,

took our jet boil with us

and our little pre-made foods,

and had like this pickic out there

and it was so wonderful.

If you guys liked this video, please give it a like

and I hope you enjoy.

(blowing kisses)

Bing!

Good morning.

- Good morning. - Good morning.

Are you a morning person?

Or are you not a morning person?

Seth is a morning person in the sense

that he likes to wake up early.

- Let's rage!

- That was aggressive

I'm a morning person.

Once my feet hit the ground,

I want to just talk.

Seth like to just be silent for a while.

Which is great too.

We partner with Backcountry to do this video.

To go on a adventure in the Pacific Northwest.

Headed out to lake and hike.

When we woke up this morning,

Seth goes, it's snowing in The Cascades,

which is where Lake Ann is.

Alright, well let's go try and check it out anyway.

That's the mission for today.

[Shayla] What just happened?

- I missed the exit.

Get the stash.

- [Shayla] Eww.

I'm pretty new to hiking.

Seth has done it a lot.

With like, just, he lived in, Colorado

and in the military or whatever,

so he knows like the things you need.

I'm like, I just really like a headband

because then my head can breath

but my ears stay warm.

And he's like, we need a first aid kit.

[Shayla] This is right off the road.

What's up handsome man?

Pro tip.

We've got service right now,

but it's possible that we're about to lose service

so, I'm downloading an offline map on Google Maps,

so that even if we do lose service,

we can get to where we need to go.

[Shayla] Other pro tip, always have what snack?

- Dinosaurs.

- [Shayla] Okay, quick pit stop

[Shayla] because, um, its beautiful.

We never get videos of us.

- So here's a video.

- So here's a video of us, together.

Walking down the trees together,

in the rain,

stepping in piles of dirt.

Together.

[Shayla] Yeah.

We made it as far as we can go.

[Shayla] Right here, this is where it stops.

Now we're going to going to go find a new adventure.

Everybody keeps asking for these,

on the go blogs,

where we're literally blogging

while we're doing stuff,

but the reason they're so hard

is the place we're trying to get to is closed.

So now we're trying to find something else.

We came to a T in the road where we need to take a left

and we're like, no let's go right.

We just kind of go where ever feels right.

It's really important to be with somebody

who also likes to make those choices.

Because I have been traveling with people.

It doesn't matter

if there are unicorns and rainbows to the right,

the left is the way that we're headed.

[Shayla] Sometimes I think that the fog,

kind of like adds something, instead of hide stuff.

It like makes it look more, mystical.

- [Seth] It's like, ominous.

- We're going to get a shot of us together.

But then also, look at all the trees above us!

[Shayla] Holy smokes people.

Seth thinks that's where Bigfoot is.

- I don't think he's like, right there,

but I'm just saying,

he's in the area.

(laughs)

- [Shayla] Seth, how far can I go without you freaking out?

(bleep) - [Seth] Just about here.

- [Shayla] Okay, so there's the damn,

and there's signs all along this,

because this is like a big river or whatever,

and so there's signs all along this that say like,

at any moment, this will open,

and this will all fill with water.

So, don't be Shayla and go hike down in there.

(sighs)

[Shayla] That's all.

- Get off that ledge.

- [Shayla] It's not really a ledge.

- [Seth] Yeah, It is.

- [Shayla] It's kind of a ledge.

(inhaling and exhaling)

[Shayla] Whoa.

- [Seth] Can you imagine jumping off

of that peak right there?

- [Shayla] Uh, no.

- [Seth] Jump off that peak

and then into the water?

- [Shayla] I cannot.

[Shayla] We are on our way up to, Thorton Trail.

We tried to get to get to another

hike called, Thorton Trail,

but by the time that we got there

it was too dark, too rainy, too long to do.

That's kind of a bummer but that's alright,

so we're just going to chill.

We're going to go to the brewery tonight.

And then tomorrow,

Seth is going to show me how to work the...

- jet boil. - Jet boil.

- It's pretty simple.

- We got a couple meals, some MRE's?

- No, nobody wants MRE's.

- Whatever I got it's not an MRE.

It's from, Backcountry, and it's--

- Dehydrated food.--

- Yeah but it looks good.

Yesterday was raining and we decided

to call it, basically.

So that we could go out today

and do a little,

what's my hair look like?

It looks like two horns doesn't it?

- It looks good.

- Thanks.

Today we are going to do a little beach, lunch, thing.

There's all these seals

and Seth want's to try to get some shots,

so I figured we would try out the jet boil.

(soothing music)

(soothing music)

(soothing music)

(soothing music)

(breezing winds)

This our weekend.

We started off with the van not turning on,

so no vancation for overnight?

- No vancation.

- Alright, so we'll just to two day trips.

It'll be great.

Yesterday we went out to The Cascades,

and it was rainy AF.

Today, it cleared up and we went to Deception Pass.

And I'm just grateful that we live here

and these things are within, like, an hour or two.

This was one is within like 30 minutes.

So we decided to have a little picnic, hiker lunch,

and we've got this.

No idea how to pronounce it.

Bin-bap?

- Uh, Bibim-mop?

Bibi-mop.

Let me get some of that Bibim-mop.

- But it's vegan.

Seth was like, oh good.

(paper bag wafting)

Wow.

I didn't get vegan intentionally,

but I can't have dairy.

I figured if I went vegan,

at least there wouldn't be dairy.

So we're just going to have

lunch out here in, Deception Pass.

So will you explain what you just did real quick?

- This is a stand,

it goes on the bottom of your fuel source.

- [Shayla] Yep.

- This; this is a little mini propane tank.

You have to buy it separately .

This comes with it,

those people down there don't come with it.

[Seth] So I'm going to keep doing a little talking and wait.

- [Shayla] Going to wait till they leave?

- I don't give a (bleep)

If they want a tutorial on jet boil, they can come on up.

(laughter)

- [Shayla] Okay. - So, Alright.

So yeah, this comes with it,

this doesn't come with,

so you'll have to get that

and there's bigger ones, smaller ones.

I like this size because the pack's easy.

Here's your little ignitor system.

This is what produces the flame.

Make sure this valve is closed.

You can kind of see the plus and minus sign there.

- [Shayla] Ah, Yep.

- See it?

- And then here's your little stove top.

- [Shayla] Okay so show us how to start it.

- Okay, so you're going to give it a little bit of gas.

(gas hisses)

Boom, there's a little bit of gas--

- [Shayla] Oh, gross.--

- It's a lot.

And then you're going to push this button, right here.

(button clicking)

Boom, now you have flame. (gas torch igniting)

- [Shayla] Whoa. - A lot of flames.

- [Shayla] Yeah.

(chuckles)

- Fire!

Tear this pouch open--

- [Shayla] Stop it!--

- And remove the oxygen absorber.

Tear the pouch open.

Oxygen absorber, you don't want to cook that in your meal.

Add a little less than two cups of boiling, yes,

boiling water, to the bag.

So, we have to boil the water first.

So we probably should have read this, first.

(laughter)

- [Shayla] Okay so we need to boil water first.

- Yep.

- [Shayla] Which we do in our cup.

Two cups, Seth, measure it out.

- I'm winging it.

Alright so, two cups.

There ya go, so now it's locked in.

Just pop it, and lock it.

So we're going to turn it on.

(gas hissing)

(switch clicks)

Hit the switch.

Do you see fire?

- [Shayla] No.

[Shayla] Yeah fire.

- We're going to let this boil.

One other thing that you want to make sure,

is that you're not in super windy area.

Most of your flame's going to blow out

and you're just going to be sniffing propane all day.

- Oh, it's starting to boil.

It's already starting to boil!

- [Seth] Good.

- [Shayla] Literally been going for like two seconds

and it's already boiling.

Like, it's about to splash out, boiling.

Seth, Seth!

- [Seth] What?

It's okay, put the top on, you're good.

So it's boiling right now.

- [Shayla] Yeah?

That went so fast.

- Yeah, it's quick.

- [Shayla] So fast.

- That's why it's a jet boil.

- It is two cups!

You put it in perfectly two cups!

- [Seth] Told you.

All I have to do is wing it.

- Did you see the line on the inside.

- [Seth] I didn't. - Okay.

- [Seth] I'm basically a pro. - Pouring in here,

probably shouldn't hold it on my hand.

Ow, ow, ow.

- [Seth] It's a little warm?

- Well it was boiling water, so, that was my bed.

Maybe set it down first.

- You'll stir it, you'll reseal it,

you'll hang out for about 20 minutes.

Yes, it tells you to hang out for 20 minutes.

It says think about how big the universe is.

You can tell some backpackers invented this.

Usually it just says, wait.

Think about how we took the best spot on this hike--

- [Shayla] And everybody wants it.--

- They all keep looking at me like I'm an asshole.

- Now we're about to hang out for 20 minutes.

(soothing music)

(soothing music)

What I'm finding is that it makes

like, a really nice, warm water bag.

So it's a little bit hot but,

if you like, set it between you

and some clothing, it's going to keep you nice and toasty.

I kind of want to put it in my jacket.

- [Seth] Can I go in your jacket?

- What?

(chuckles)

[Seth] What are you doing?

- Stirring it up, it actually looks really,

pretty delicious.

- [Seth] It smells kind of good actually.

I had my reservations.

I had my doubts.

- Yeah?

- [Seth] But it already smells

ten times better than any MRE I've ever eaten in my life.

- This is not comparable to an MRE.

This is a real good meal

Ooh.

- [Seth] Is it good?

- Yeah, you're going to like it. - [Seth] Let's see it.

- It basically was super watery.

Probably could cook a little longer, but.

- [Seth] Yeah.

- I'm getting hungry, so.

And they've got mushrooms in here, spinach.

And it's a little spicy,

which is so good.

It's a two person meal.

- [Seth] Yes, to the jet boil thing?

- Yeah, I'm super stoked about this.

Water boiled so fast.

So nice.

I didn't really realize how easy that was.

Thanks for showing me the way, Seth!

And, I'm so excited about these.

So, Seth has been looking for something like this.

We have a Goal Zero, like, what would you call it?

- [Seth] It's like, a charging bank.

- Yeah, but it's big, and it goes in the van.

- [Seth] You charge it up and it holds the charge.

- This I wanted because we could just stick

this in the window and it would always kind of be charged.

Because when we travel around,

we're always just bringing the thing in to charge

at peoples houses, which is fine,

but this will just keep it charged, always.

But we also got this little charging bank,

and this also charges with this.

So, Seth can throw this on his backpack on a hike,

and it can, like, soak up all the sun

while it's charging this, inside.

And I don't know how many--

- [Seth] You'd be able to charge you phone,

like, four times of off that.--

- Oh, really? - [Seth] Yeah dude.

- Or your camera, because our cameras were dead.

This is called, Gold Zero Nomad 14 Plus.

And on Backcountry's website they have something called,

I can't remember what the exact term is

but I just got on a chat with one of them,

and I was like, look I've got this Gold Zero,

which one of the solar chargers is going to charge it?

And she said, this one.

I saw that this was also compatible because I love

traveling with these.

This is pretty light to carry on your backpack,

don't you think?

- [Seth] Yeah.

- [Shayla] The moment of truth.

Want to squat down so you're not so back lit?

Nope.

- Could have cooked a little long, but.

(laughs)

- [Shayla] We did stop a little early.

I was hungry!

- We're impatient.

- [Shayla] Yeah. - It's really good, actually.

- [Shayla] Why do you say that?

Because it's kind of crunchy?

- Yeah, the rice is kind of crunchy.

- [Shayla] Whoops.

- But, it does have a little kick to it,

which is, I like spicy food.

- [Shayla] Yeah.

- I never had much faith in these things.

I wanted the jet boil because it's dope,

and you can cook while you're on the go.

The solar power is awesome.

[Seth] I dunno, I feel like if you don't need electricity

and you can charge your stuff it's a win-win.

- So I hope that kind of shows, like,

when the van breaks down,

it can either ruin your entire weekend,

or you can say, what's our next option?

And do that.

Or when you hike is closed,

you can say, what's our next option?

And do that.

And find the silver lining of, like, these new

jet boil picnic dates are,

might be my new favorite thing.

I would love to hear a story

of where you had something go wrong

and you made the best of it.

If you guys are headed out on a camping

or an outdoorsy trip,

check out Backcountry,

they have everything that you could possibly need.

Everything that was in the video

will be in the description, below.

So if you're interested in the jet boil,

or the solar panel, or our jackets, or anything,

that will be below.

The other thing is, we haven't used the solar panels enough.

So a few people were asking, like, how shady can it be,

I'm not sure because we haven't used it enough,

so I'll try to do another video in a couple of months

after we've used it a bit.

Thank you Backcountry, so much for sponsoring this video.

I will see you all next week.

Unless you follow me on Instagram.

There's no bonus footage this week

because the whole thing was like a bet, behind the scenes.

Now you're all going to ask what was wrong with the van,

there was a rotor cup that needed to be replaced.

Thank you guys all so much for watching,

I will see you next week. (blows kisses)

Safeties - Step-by-step guide for CPR/Choking for Infants & Adults - Duration: 1:08.

When my daughter was just 15 months old,

she started choking.

I took Infant CPR classes before she was born,

but in those precious moments, I froze.

Somehow we got through,

but I wish I had had a Safety.

I know I won't have time to search

on my phone for instructions,

so that's why it's great to have a Safety nearby.

A Safety has really quick

and easy-to-read instructions for Infant CPR,

Infant Choking, Adult CPR and Choking

and other safety information like Poison Control.

And there's even a place

to put your contact information

for a babysitter.

The tabs on a Safety have titles

and spin out to show the information I need.

A Safety comes with a magnet

to stick on your fridge for quick access,

and it's small enough to fit

in your diaper bag or purse.

They're water and tear resistant

which means they're durable even around kids.

I like giving a Safety to the grandparents

and also making sure the babysitter knows

where the Safeties are in our house.

A Safety means peace of mind,

knowing that in an emergency,

all the information I need is right here.
