Whoops I Disappeared For 2 Months- Here's Why! | Channel Update - Duration: 6:10.

HI! So I've been gone for a little bit. First off, before we get into this unscripted rambly session...

If this video looks and/or sounds like shit, there are a few reasons for that.

Two of which have to do with kind of why I've been gone.

So you know life hands you a whole bunch of shitty things all at once?

And you kind of just have to roll with & by rolling with it something gets kicked to the wayside?

Yeah that's what happened all of August. And July. And however long it has been since I've been gone.

Having tech issues is 1 of the many reasons that I have disappeared.

For some reason the last time I recorded, & the time before that, there were clips in the raw footage

that sounded like somebody was crinkling paper. And nobody was crinkling paper!

I don't know if my camera's dying, I don't know if the battery's dying, I don't know what the hell is happening.

I got a new SD card so fingers crossed that will fix the problem.

And you notice the big giant couch! [laughs] Yeah, uh, this is part of the reason that I've been gone as well.

No, I didn't move, uh, I have been battling a lot of physical health problems lately.

And to be able to still make videos I had to buy a couch.

So because I haven't filmed with this setup before, I don't know if my lighting is uhh.

Although heads up, there are 3 videos in my backlog that don't have the couch, & are still going to be posted

but after this video has been posted. Yeah.

"Now Jacquie," you might be wondering, "why didn't you just post those videos while you were gone?

"That's the whole point of having a backlog."

I am obsessively weird & I have no explanation for half the crap I do.

So tech problems and physical health problems,

because also hi again- I have spina bifida occulta and back pain is a bitch. [laughs]

But with that cluster fuck of chaos, I've also been dealing with a lot of mental health problems recently, yay!

Uh, I have depression & anxiety & a weird fucked up brain, so uh. [laughs]

Not that if you have depression & anxiety you have a fucked up brain.

I'm just, you know, self-depreciating humor is my coping mechanism.

But in order to combat that I have done a few changes. I got a job!

I'm working back at the library, it was my 1st job out of high school & I'm so happy to be back.

It's really helped my brain a lot.

But those are all of the reasons that I have been gone,

which now kind of brings me to part 2 of, you know, why I've been gone.

Some of these changes that I've been implementing have kind of affected my channel.

Specifically the whole having a part time job thing.

So while I was trying to adjusted to that I kind of just let you all slip by the wayside. I'm sorry!

I mean hey, I've been doing this channel for 4 years, I never took a break until now. Except when my mom died.

So cut me some slack please.

Actually no, I should be the 1 cutting myself slack because nobody holds me to a higher standard than me.

But I am gonna try to relax a little bit, & I'm still planning on making scripted romance novel video reviews.

Because I mean, I can't not. I miss it too much. But I'm gonna start loosening up my schedule.

Maybe instead of posting every week a scripted romance novel video review,

I'll post every other week.

And then maybe try in the inbetween doing more unscripted video book reading updates.

You know, like, audiobooks I'm listening to & books that I've dropped.

Because oh lord, when everything goes wrong the book slump is just so bad.

Because yes. I am a chronic book dropper.

I might go back to posting a scripted review every week, but for now, in the foreseeable future, every 2 weeks.

Then again, everything I just said could be entirely untrue.

Maybe I just won't go to a schedule at all. You might not know when you're gonna get a video.

Maybe you will. It'll be a surprise.

And I'm not gonna make any promises about the unscripted videos

because those are very fly-by-the-seat-of-my-pants.

Basically the point is I'm gonna loosen up the reigns a little bit.

I'm not gonna guarantee that it's gonna be "historical, contemporary, paranormal" rinse & repeat.

I'm gonna read any romance novel I want to read. And if that means that there are 5 historicals back to back,

then so be it. I'm trying to let myself enjoy this again because I got to the point where I was putting so

many rules on myself that I wasn't enjoying videos as much as I did 4 years ago.

And we are not gonna let that happen. I am going to enjoy this because goddammit this is what gives me joy.

Yeah, but this, this rambly video was a thing and- the update is I've been gone,

there were problems, I fixed most of them, there's gonna be slight changes, more than likely

I don't know why I posted this. Thanks for staying guys, and putting up with my absence.

Also I don't know if you guys know, but I have Dyslexia, which often manifests itself in speech and the

rearranging of words in said speech.

So if anything I said was out of order or words got mixed up that I didn't catch it while I was saying it.

Which I think I just did that again. [laughs] Oh my brain!

But the point is if I said anything out of order that was weirdly phrased, blame my brain & also I'm sorry.

It just makes me uncomfortable because I sound like a dumbass and I'm not really that stupid. I promise.

How To Play Basketball For Beginners - Duration: 10:23.

on today's episode we're gonna talk about how to play basketball

welcome to x-ray basketball the show that takes a deeper look into basketball

I'm coach Logan and on this channel we provide an opportunity for coaches and

players to improve their knowledge and understanding in the game of basketball

through game film Before we jump into the video we want to let you know that

we've actually created a free document that you can download in the description

down below inside this free download is a complete breakdown of everything that

we talked about in this video plus a few bonus items once you've got your free

download follow along as we talk about how to play basketball as we step into

the x-ray so the first thing we're gonna look at is basic passing passing is when

you throw the ball from one teammate to the other the goal of passing is to move

the ball quickly trying to find a teammate that is not guarded passing is

an important skill for all basketball players to have because it's one of the

hardest things to guard in all of these clips the ball is moving faster in the

air then the defense can run on the ground this is why passing is such an

advantage for the offense sharing the basketball quickly with teammates can

force the defense to move out of position in return giving the team with

the ball an advantage or an open shot

the throw ahead pass is meant to beat a defense down the floor before they are

set to defend the basket it's important for the player with the ball to pick

their head up and look down the court to find an open teammate if you have an

open teammate ahead of the ball and ahead of the defense a throw ahead

pass can lead to easy shots

the next pass we're gonna look at is the skip pass instead of the pass being up

the court from one end to the other it's now across the court from one side to

the other side this can be a very effective pass if the defense is out of

position and leaning to one side of the court oftentimes the defense will turn

their head towards the ball and lose sight of offensive players that are

behind them

another way of sharing the basketball is called a dribble handoff two teammates

will still share the basketball in a dribble handoff but instead of a

traditional pass the ball handler will dribble towards a teammate in either

handing off or tossing the ball to them this is a good way of getting the ball

to a teammate who is guarded closely or if you want to create an advantage for

the offense now let's talk about moving without the basketball and the first

move we'll look at is the basket cut the basket cut is when an offensive player

without the basketball cuts or runs to their basket this cut or

move can catch a defense out of position and lead to the cutter receiving the

ball or even an open shot the next cut is the flash cut here an offensive

player cuts towards a teammate in possession of the basketball this flash

cut can make you an outlet for a teammate in possession of the basketball

that may have limited options now let's talk about screening screening is using

your body position to help a teammate get open the first screen we're gonna

look at is the down screen the screener are setting a down screen we'll start at

the top of the court then step down towards a teammate using their body as a

barrier between your teammates defender it's important to hold your position and

not move during the screen moving during the screen is considered illegal and

will be called an offensive foul a back screen is similar to a down screen

except the action now starts from the bottom of the court moving up towards

the top here the screener steps up towards a teammate allowing him to get

open for a shot

another common screening action is the cross screen often called a flex screen

because of its use in the Flex offense a cross screen can catch a defense out of

position while sending a teammate towards the basket the final screen

we'll talk about is the ball screen commonly called a pick-and-roll this

screen involves a screener and the teammate with the basketball like all of

the previous screens the screener uses their body as a barrier between the

defense and their teammate with the basketball

this ball screen is one of the hardest screens to defend and commonly forces

the defense in tough positions defenses that don't communicate well during ball

screens can become out of position and leave offensive players open offensive

players with the ball in their hand have the opportunity to drive to the basket

this dribble drive action can produce a direct path to the basket for the ball

handler

a defensive foul is when an offensive player is hit in an illegal manner by

the opposing team if this offensive player is fouled while attempting to

shoot a two-point shot they are awarded two free-throws the same for if they

were attempting a three-point shot they would be awarded three free-throws and a

free throw is a rewarded opportunity for an offensive player that was fouled by a

defensive player the player that was fouled will step to the free-throw line

and shoot one free-throw at a time each free-throw counting for one point an

offensive rebound is when a team in possession of the ball attempts a shot

misses but a member of that shooting team gains possession of the basketball

this often provides an opportunity for the offensive team to get another shot

if a shot bounces off the backboard or the rim and a teammate tips it back in

this also counts as an offensive rebound and a made field goal now let's switch

gears and talk about defense we just talked about offensive rebounding but

the defense can also gain rebounds too if the team with the ball attempts a

shot and misses at the basket and the opposing team gains the ball this is

considered a defensive rebound a defensive rebound is often a change in

possession of the ball from one team to the other one of the best ways to get in

position for a defensive rebound is called a box out similar to using your

body for a screen a box out is when a defender uses their body to keep an

offensive player away from the ball during a shot upon gaining possession

this defenders awarded a defensive rebound a deflection is often the result

of an active defender using their hands or body to get in the way of a pass

sometimes these deflections can lead to the ball going out of bounds and the

offense maintains possession but must restart their offense

other times the deflection might actually lead to a change of possession

where a defense earns the ball this turnover of possession from an

offensive player to a defensive player is called a steal in these clips you'll

see a defensive player chase down the basketball and earned possession of it

many times these steals by the defense can lead to quick changes of possession

and open shots

a loose ball is when the possession of the basketball is no longer maintained

by the offense or the defense these loose ball opportunities may be a result

of a mistake by an offensive player or deflections and other actions by the

defensive player both offensive and defensive players have an equal

opportunity to gain possession on a loose ball

next we'll look at a blocked shot this happens when an offensive player

attempts to shoot the basketball and a defensive player knocks it away with

their hand this defensive action can stop players from scoring and can lead

to offensive or defensive rebounds depending on which team gains possession

another way to stop an offensive player is to take a charge a charge is awarded

to a defensive player who is in legal position and is then struck by the

offensive player the offensive player is given an offensive foul and the

defensive player who took the charge will earn possession of the basketball

SEC Insider: How Auburn can turn its offense around in time for Mississippi State - Duration: 7:21.

what's up everyone cruising into week six of the college football season here

with our SEC insider this week Cole Cubelic of SEC network

thank you so much for joining us. first things first we want to

talk about this Auburn Mississippi State matchup and I'm gonna give dr. Cole a

call so Dr. Cole what is the diagnosis? Auburn

and Mississippi State both coming into the season high expectations for those

offenses have been a bit of a disappointment up until week week six of

the season here let's start with Auburn what is the biggest ailment what is the

biggest hang-up for this Auburn football team and I know you're probably gonna

point to the offensive line it's probably no I think it's more of a

mentality which includes the offensive I don't think it's physicality okay and

they just they they lack a vicious punch at the point of attack and if you look

at what this offense is predicated on it's a downhill run game and then play

action off of that and then that opens up some of your perimeter runs some of

the option runs some of the replays but you have to have that downhill run game

first even in the RPO game that's attached to it the downhill run game

must come first if that's not there where do you turn and I actually think

that that's a real question that this Auburn coaching staff may be having to

ask themselves this week is that can we continue to be who we thought we were

going to be able to be because I don't believe based on what I've seen with the

personnel and the execution thus far they can be that football team

offensively ok we've flipped the page over to Nicky Fitz & Company at

Mississippi State we saw what they put together against

Florida obviously taking the loss home you know in Starkville is this lost

number three in a row for Mississippi State with this offense what is the

biggest thing that they need to really work on it is pretty interesting that

you bring up you look at Mississippi State on to name losing streak always on

a two-game winning streak and by the way they they beat a conference opponent two

weeks ago by 30-plus points and everyone is worried and third they're number

eight in the country yeah so these are really two different teams in two

different places but we kind of perceive them to be the same team the offensive

struggles and Mississippi State are a little bit different you saw the run

game there against Florida but the intermediate

passing game is what has not been there what you've been looking at is a lack of

consistency through the air so when teams do load up against the run

Nick Fitzgerald is going to have to push those defenders back out or make plays

with his arm now he's had a few drops but the lack of accuracy even on passes

that are catchable has not necessarily been there so I also don't think he

looks as explosive as he has the last two years but still the that lack of an

intermediate passing game and accuracy through that is what is slowing down the

Mississippi State Office ok we'll flip back to Auburn how do they fix this

problem and I think some people are pointing to play calling is that perhaps

an issue you pointed to it earlier the coach is kind of taking a step back may

reevaluating how they game plan against Mississippi State what is your take on

how they fix this offense and get more of that explosive power especially in

the downhill run game I wish it was as easy as a doctor you know me going to

the doctor with a sinus infection getting a prescription he passed me pack

this is not a one line prescription and so how to repair this because what you

look at Lauren is yes you have a lack of physicality yes you lack a a downhill

running back that you can rely on for 2030 carries the game especially if it

looks like Whitlow a little bit banged up last week the offensive line has not

played great football well execution also hasn't been there

you watch them run an inside zone to the left and the front side and I'm backer

just goes unblocked those things can't happen and that's the difference between

the biggest difference between offensive and defensive football is on defensive

football one player can make you and on offensive football one player can break

you because one guy misses his assignment and it's over and I think

it's been a lack of execution a lack of physicality certain times play calling

when you see them backed up a third and 17 on your own four and you're running

four verticals like that that to me just kind of said that's you're not giving

your team a really good chance for success in a play like that when your

offensive line has been having protection issues so plenty of blame to

go around we could have stayed here two weeks ago and 90% of Auburn fans would

have said get a new sinner in the game and they thought that would have fix all

the problems right well you get a new center in the game and guess what it

wasn't a whole lot better last week against Southern Miss plenty of problems

to go around the good news if you're all burn right now so I'll give

you a little home remedy for Auburn just to sort of make you feel better this

might not actually treat the symptoms but it may make you feel a little bit

better moving forward if you can find a way to get this win against Mississippi

State you're number eight in the country you're a one loss football team that one

loss came to number five by a field goal at the end of regulation you have Ole

Miss and Tennessee on deck and then a bye week before you play Texas A&M at

home having ultimately been successfully gets a em at home since they joined the

conference but if you can get this win stay in the top ten you have a couple

weeks to sort of figure this thing out go back to the drawing board and say

maybe we need to reinvent ourselves this way or maybe we need to try this

initially and build upon this part of our offense first and foremost so that

would be sort of the good news that may make all bird fans feel better moving

forward yeah I definitely think there's a lot of implications in this game for

Auburn especially so that leads me to my final question we'll make this one

pretty quick here when you look at the body of work between both teams through

in this game but right right now Lauren I think it's a toss-up because you kind

of mentioned it there there are two teams that's sort of mirror themselves

other than where Auburn is and where state is and the records both teams that

played pretty good defense both teams have been tested both teams

are struggling with one aspect of their offense that we thought was gonna be

really good we thought Nick 50 era was gonna be great in Joe Moorhead system we

thought Auburn was going to be able to run the football and be great on offense

so neither one of those two knew two sides of the football has been going so

I would lean Auburn right now but in there they're probably in a better

position because I think it's an easier fix if the coaches

actually decide to do it for Aubrun that it is because all we can go out and run

the football through the air they can allow Jarrett Stidham to go quick

throws and they can do that Nick Fitzgerald improving on his

accuracy but that doesn't happen just based on what the coaches call before

the play before the ball is snapped alright that's dr. Cole here our session

On today's video we're gonna teach you some vocabulary especially for girls

When we travel sometimes we need to go shopping for personal items

But sometimes these items look so different from what they look like in our own country that we can't recognize them on the shelf

So it's useful to know what they are called in English

So here's some common personal items that you can usually get from a drugstore or

supermarket.

So let's repeat after us, ok?

Nail file. It's also called emery board in Australia and England

This is a nail file too, ok

Nail clippers

This is a nipper for your cuticles

These are tweezers for your eyebrows

hmm and also for your nails nail polish and

nail polish remover

You usually need a cotton ball to apply it

now let's talk about

skin

Sunscreen or sunblock

This is a moisturizer for dry skin

scrub to remove dead skin

Now let's talk about some makeup

this is

mascara

and

this is

eyeliner

Still for your eyes, this is eye shadow

This is very useful to hide the black part here under your eyes

concealer and

This is to make your whole face even

Foundation

this is what we can

call a healthy look, okay, blush

And

lipstick

And when you get home, you have to remove all this with a makeup remover

Sometimes you have to get other things in an emergency for example

Adobe Spark Page for Education - Duration: 15:13.

This is patti depriest and welcome back to educate academy brought to you by the kentucky academy of technology education

Today, we're going to take a look at Adobe spark

Adobe spark is free for education

There are three different parts to Adobe spark. There is spark post where you can create graphics and

Memes and things like that

there's spark video where you can actually do videos and put those together and

Then there's spark page which creates a an online like magazine or a website

Today we're going to focus mostly on spark page

But well initially we're going to talk a little bit more about what Adobe spark is and how to get it into your school on

This page and I will share that with you

Adobe will tell you how to set up your account or Adobe spark

They mentioned that if you already have Adobe products that you can add

Spark to the Adobe admin console. They also have a guide to getting started

This is really important because when you go to log your students in for it to be Copa compliant

It does need to be managed by your school

And when your students log in and create an account, they are going to initially create an Adobe account

And then they can actually use their Google or your office 365 email

But they're not going to actually create it initially with their Google or office 365 email account

All right. So what is spark and this is the page where you actually go into spark? This is my account and

When you're on here, if I go to the plus I can create a new post page or video

Notice that I have a few posts that I've created on here. I don't have any videos

I don't think I've done some but I think I did them on my

IPad if we want to look this is a post that I've created it is on

Yellowstone, and I just picked a

Way that I wanted to do the layout and I put the pick the pictures you can add

pictures and I chose photos and

You can upload a photo but you can all so find free photos and this is really nice

It pulls them from a lot of different free sites that are Creative Commons

Licensed for your students to use so it's really great

You can also add, you know, text and icons and logos and things like that

once you're done

You can share it out. And then you can also download it in order to bring it into spark page

You do need to download it and then upload it into Page

Hopefully they're working on that because it seems like they should you should be able to pull those in a lot easier

So what what pages is it allows you pull in

Images videos add text and all and so this is the page that I created on

Destinations for a bucket list and so if you notice that I've put some headed headers in there are headlines

And I've got some text now. I've got some pictures. This is something that I created in Adobe spark post and

Then I've got more stuff here. And again just a picture

This is a different way to put in a picture where it goes all the way across and you scroll through it

notice it also has a little

Byline there or talks about the actual picture and then goes into Indonesia

Another one of those pictures and so on and so on so you get an idea of what this looks like going back

to the smart page

Just as I mentioned

To get to the website, I don't think I did mention that go to sparf adobe.com

Again, make sure that you set up that adobe admin console where your school is managing and controlling

the access to adobe spark

All the premium features that used to have to pay for are free for education

And so you can pretty much do anything that you can do in adobe spark for free with your students

So just one new we're going to click the plus sign and we're going to go to page

and so the first thing that's going to do is ask you to add a title know one of the neat things that

Spark has done is that teachers used to complain that with some of the products that the students would spend all day?

Looking at fonts and trying them out and all these different things

So they really limit you when you pick a theme you get the fonts that come with a theme

There's no other way to change those fonts. So we're gonna add a title and this is going to be on

Yellowstone National

Park

Alright so when I click off of that I can add a photo so I'm going to click on the photo

I'm going to go to fine fine free photos. I'm gonna type in Yellowstone

Alright, so a couple of these you may recognize from my other picture that I had that was one on here that I really liked

this one

That yeah, that's what I need. Okay

alright, so I'm gonna go down to this button and

I've got options I can add a photo I can add text I can add a button and this is how you add a

Hyperlink, I can have video from YouTube

I can put in a photo grid and I can have a glide show and we'll look at all of these

So first we're going to add text and it's going to be a headline. And so I am going to type in

Once I've done that I can format this text and so I can make it centered

Notice I can make it into a quote. I've got headline 1 or headline - I've chosen one. It was just a bigger one

I can add in bullet points numbers

you can make it up here at the top are your themes and so all of this is going to set my

Look as to what everything is gonna look like so I am going to let's try this vintage

Mmm, I don't like what I did to my picture and so I'm going to choose something else

This let's leave it at that for now

And again I come down here. Alright so underneath I am going to add some other text

This I'm going to make a quote and I'm gonna paste it in and

This is coming from a website from the National Park Service. And so

It is a quote now. I'm going to add again and

This time we're going to add a photo and we're going to add

Like this picture of the bison, so we're going to add this in

Notice you cut different ways to add the picture you can do it in line, which is what it is right now

And I could also fill the screen

I can do a window which is that kind of neat thing that you saw earlier I can do full width

We're just gonna make it a pretty big picture

So this moves it where it is located so it would have put it above where I had my quote

I'm gonna do the window so you can see it. And so now as I scroll it's going to scroll past that picture

I really like that effect

Notice, I have a caption that I can add

now see that's part of my

Theme and I don't really like the red behind it, but we're gonna leave it there

Alright now we can go back and change it later

Okay, so we're going to add some more text and

This is going to be a another headline this is going to be things to do and

Then under that we're going to add more text and it's going to be just plain. So I'm going to paste that in and

Then I'm going to go and add a video. So I'm going to click on the video button and

Copy a video that I have on another screen and I'm gonna paste this in here

And I'm gonna click Save and it adds it in. So this is five must-see attractions that you must do

You can see how easy it is to keep adding things on and so let's go and well gonna add a little bit more text

So I'm going to click here and I'm going to add the text and add see how this works with that headline

so once I added the

Headline this is the smaller of the two headlines

Let's add a photo grid and so I can add different photos to add to my grid

so let's add the

So the more pictures that I add it's going to change that grid what its gonna look like

Some of the things I'm not sure are Yellowstone so

There is a there we go. Okay, so that's my photo grid now I can move those around I believe

so I've got my little arrows here and so I can

move these if I've got the three scenes and the

And it may not save until it gets them all loaded
