Waching daily Oct 29 2018

In the last seven days we have seen multiple different terrorist attacks carried out by

far right extremists here on United States soil.

We had the 14 pipe bombs sent to prominent members of the Democratic Party, Democratic

donors, members of the media, John Brennan, all kinds of folks, all of whom had been critical

of the president of The United States.

There was a shooting in a Kroger grocery store last week by a White man who was specifically

targeting African Americans.

He even went up to one White guy who was cowering and said, "Whites don't kill other Whites."

And then of course, this weekend the anti-Semite who entered a synagogue and killed 11 people

including, a Holocaust survivor.

11 people dead in that instance.

This is far right domestic terrorism.

It's being spurred on, these people are emboldened by the president of The United States, by

his rhetoric, and by extension the Republican media and Republican politicians.

All of these people have been radicalized by what's happening within the Republican

Party today.

The Republican media, the FOX News, the Breitbart, Daily Callers, all of those spreading these

conspiracy theories about George Soros, about Hillary Clinton, about John Brennan, and the

fake news media.

All of those conspiracy theories are what is pushing these people to do these kinds

of things.

When FOX News goes out there and says that, when Tucker Carlson for example said, "They're

trying to take away our culture," that emboldens people to go out and kill other people who

do not look like them.

That's what's happened.

All these attacks on George Soros are anti-Semitic, and it emboldens those people.

But at the end of the day, all of this rests on the feet of the president of The United

States.

And his response to all of this was that, "It's the fake news media's fault."

That's actually what he said, "It's the fake news media's fault for creating such hate

and division here in The United States."

Also, "If that synagogue had been packed with armed guards, nobody would have died."

I mean forget for a moment that actually three police officers were shot by this lunatic.

So yeah, they had weapons.

They still got injured and weren't able to stop him.

This has to stop.

This has to change.

In order for that to happen there has to be major reforms that take place with the Republican

Party, with their media, and with their leaders because as long as Donald Trump is in office,

and he's spreading this hate, and this propaganda, and these conspiracy theories fed to him personally

by people at FOX News this is only going to get worse.

I predicted early last week at the time when we only knew of one bomb being sent to one

person and that person was George Soros, 13 bombs came after that, and I didn't even know

that yet, but I still predicted that as we get closer to the mid-terms, as Donald Trump

does more and more rallies instances of violence are going to increase.

This is one of those times where being right absolutely sucked.

But this was predictable.

We have seen what happens the more the president goes out there and spreads this hate and division,

people get active, and they do horrible things.

And that is exactly what is happening in this country right now, and 100% of it begins with

the president of The United States, Donald Trump.

Is Income Inequality a Problem in America? | Joseph (Jake) Klein - Duration: 2:41.

Is income inequality a problem in America today?

Most Americans say it is!

A 2015 Gallup poll showed 63% of Americans "say that money and wealth should be more

evenly distributed among a larger percentage of the people."

Bernie Sanders has said that income inequality is "immoral," "unsustainable."

Former Secretary of Labor Robert Reich made a whole film about it!

The media agrees too, with sources like CNN, The Washington Post, CNBC, and even Scientific

American providing coverage.

But guess what?

It turns out all of these people believe in a myth!

The United States is actually about as equal as our progressive northern neighbor Canada.

A nation's Income inequality is judged with a figure named the "Gini Coefficient"

According to the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, the United States

has a score of 0.39, right behind oligarchical Russia and Lithuania.

But unlike most other nations ranked by the OECD, our ranking excludes our large government

welfare programs, including Medicare, Medicaid, and 93 other redistribution programs.

If you include all that shared wealth, the US's score becomes 0.32, putting us right

next to Canada, Japan,, and the European homogeneous micronation of Luxembourg.

Why do so many people think income inequality is a problem to begin with?

Many more myths.

For example, the myth that the 1% is hoarding all the wealth, keeping it from the poor who

need it.

Bernie Sanders claimed income inequality is "undermining our middle class" and "the

needs of our kids".

In fact, while the rich have gotten richer, so have the poor.

The proportion of the world's population living in extreme poverty has dropped drastically

over the last 200 years, and it's dropped faster than ever since the turn of the millennium.

The underlying myth that confuses people is the unspoken assumption that a nation's

wealth is a fixed pie.

So if some people get more pie, others receive less.

But that's false – the pie can and does expand, which means even if the poor get a

smaller share, they're still getting richer!

Another myth is that all poor persons stay poor.

One study looked at income mobility over 16 years and found only 5% of households that

started in the bottom 20% of income stayed there – 95% rose out.

Once one understands all the myths surrounding income inequality, the picture changes.

Those who know these facts and still choose the negative and divisive rhetoric of "income

inequality" look a lot less like people compassionate towards the poor, and a lot more

like people jealous of the rich.

I'm Joseph Klein.

Poem: What is cultural heritage - Duration: 1:13.

What is heritage?

Heritage is the full range of our inherited traditions, monuments, objects and culture

most important it is the range of contemporary activities, meanings and behaviors that we draw from them

Heritage includes but is much more than preserving, excavating, displaying or restoring a collection of old things

Why heritage?

As a community, we share the responsibility to identify and respect what is important

and pass on these to the future generation so they will understand what comes before them

Heritage places contribute to quality of life and cultural identity of our community

Cultural heritage plays a very important role in our life

It is what keeps us attached to our religion, traditions and beliefs

What?

Cultural heritage can provide an alternate sense of unity and belonging to a group, which allows us to better understand previous generations

and history from where we come from

It is important to preserve our cultural heritage because it keeps our integrity as people

The importance of intangible cultural heritage is not the cultural manifestation itself

but rather the wealth of knowledge and skills that is transmitted through it from one generation to the next

Is MoMA haunted? | GHOST STORIES - Duration: 5:51.

What we're speaking about is not something that's actually tangible.

My personal experience with it was when I first arrived at MoMA years ago.

It's been more than two handfuls of years.

When I first arrived, I had heard of the stories of the MoMA ghost if you will.

MoMA being as old as it is and having as many changes that have taken place here

you expect these things to occur, I imagine.

Let's make our way inside...

Right here, in this specific space

I remember...

it's just like right on queue.

What's to say that there isn't a whole other world that maybe we can't see or we don't want to see?

It was just here about the figure of an average-sized man I think

but it was just this grayish embodiment of something spectral and I won't forget it.

It was very clear, and I did this doubletake.

And when I looked back, that's when the projectionist said to me, "Did you see it?"

And I said, "Yeah, I think I saw a shadow," and he said, "That's the ghost."

I believe there is an area of the museum; I can't remember which gallery specifically

but there used to be a hotel in that location and that there is a "lady in white" that security

has encountered late at night.

Dave?

Yeah?

Oh, good, you're here.

We have some people inquiring about the MoMA ghost.

I've seen ghosts.

You know, there's this theory that ghosts can't cross water.

So I grew up on an island off the coast of Maine, and so if you live on an island

all the people who've died there are trapped on that island because they can't cross water.

So, it was pretty haunted island.

That's all I'm going to say.

Yeah, I was pretty much down here with a Cimex machine which is used to clean this.

And for some reason in the middle of it I looked up and the person was standing right

there on the top looking just down.

It was like an old lady dressed in white.

I looked back again and then I just went downstairs.

I didn't even wait for the elevator I just ran down.

Security was making the rounds, and one time late at night a guard apparently saw a ghost.

It was up in this area and apparently they left the building and quit their job at that point.

My sense is that this is related to the liquid nitrogen because it's not a familiar sound

and so I think somehow my tank of liquid nitrogen actually played a role.

And it looks a little bit like a ghost, too.

If you believe in something, it will happen, but if you don't believe in it, it's not existent.

So, Mike Moen was an official.

He used to work here.

That's a long time ago.

I used to have hair in my head then.

So he told me that this curtain at night, it opens and closes by themselves.

Close and open, close and open.

The reason why I kind of believe what he said to me because no one is here and there was

no one to turn that on back and forth.

I would be running!

It was only myself and a gentleman by the name of Sixto

only persons who have access to this.

As I stand on that side of the door, you'll hear a bunch of banging and commotion going on.

This door but from the inside, and that was the scariest thing when those doors start shaking.

It was almost impossible.

As big as I am, I ran out of this building.

It is very creepy because one does feel a kind of presence, and I think that has to

do with the fact that the building was built over 100 years ago.

It was a school for decades and decades, and then all of a sudden it wasn't a school

and it was abandoned.

And all these experiences and memories kind of accumulated in the crevices of the building.

And one can actually feel that especially when you're here alone and sometimes at night.

All art has to do with ghosts in some ways because art is about persisting past the life

of the person who made it.

So you're feeling the presence of something that should be absent or is absent, and that's

really what a ghost is; it's when something appears that shouldn't be there.

This is not something that you can actually discuss unless you have some experience in it

or unless you know people who have because I've known people, but...

[nervous laughter]

Whatever the entity is, it has a sense of humor.

And if that is the case, I'm okay with it!

What is the biggest spider in the world? - Duration: 6:04.

(phone ringing)

- Hi it's Doug.

I wanna talk about spiders,

and not fake ones like this decoration either,

real spiders.

Now I know some people consider spiders incredibly creepy

but other people even keep them as pets.

I'm one of them.

Are you ready to see this?

This is my pet tarantula.

Her name is Goldie.

She's not the first tarantula I've ever had

but she's the first one I've had that's incredibly calm.

She doesn't mind if I hold her

as long as I hold her carefully.

I have not idea if you find this amazing

or just plain creepy

but I hope you'll keep watching.

We've got a question today from someone named Aliyah.

Let's give her a call now.

(phone ringing)

- Hi Doug.

- Hi Aliyah.

- I have a question for you.

What is the biggest spider in the world.

- That's a great question.

Before I say anything more take moment to talk to someone

near you.

How do you feel about spiders

and what's the biggest spider you've ever seen?

Now would be a good time to pause the video and discuss.

Okay, you ready?

Seeing the biggest spider in the world

might be a little scary.

The fear of spiders, it's called arachnophobia,

and it's understandable.

Many spiders don't exactly look cuddly.

Here's the thing though.

Most spiders almost never harm people.

In North America where I live

lots of people get kinda freaked out by spiders like this,

the black widow, or this one too, the brown recluse.

Both of these spiders are venomous

but they almost never bite people.

They save their venom for their prey,

the tiny insects that they eat.

But other spiders,

you could even say there's something kinda cute about them.

Look at this one,

or my personal favorite,

check out this one.

It's called the peacock spider and it does a little dance.

But whether you find them cute or not

spiders are definitely interesting.

Look at all those eyes and all those legs.

And just the shear variety of spiders in the world.

There are so many different kinds of spiders.

Different species, some of them, incredible colors

like this tarantula called the greenbottle blue.

It's a night time hunter of South America

or this one from Hawaii,

look at the pattern on its bottom end.

Would it surprise you if I told you that

this spider is called the happy face spider.

And it's not just spiders' looks that can be fascinating.

So many of them have incredible behaviors too

like this spider.

There, did you see that?

It hides right among its prey and watch again.

This spider is called a trap door spider

or check out this one, called a fishing spider

which actually has the ability to move

on the surface of the water.

Here's another interesting behavior,

it's called a crab spider and it surprise attacks it's prey.

But to Aliyah's question,

of all these different species,

which is the biggest spider in the world?

This is actually a surprisingly difficult

question to answer.

You see in order to know exactly what the biggest spider is,

scientist have to go out and search

for all the different species of spiders of Earth.

For a long time the biggest spider known is one

that's as big as a dinner plate.

Are you ready to see this thing?

It's this.

It's called the Goliath birdeater

and it lives in the rainforests of South America.

Despite its name it doesn't usually eat birds

but it's big enough that it could if it wanted to.

Even though it may seem scary,

these spiders only bite people if they're threatened

and even then the bite is no worse than what a bee sting

would feel like to most people.

However in 2001, the record for biggest spider in the world

was challenged.

Scientists working in a cave in Southeast Asia

discovered a type of spider that no one had noticed before.

They called it the giant huntsman.

And while it's not heavier than the Goliath birdeater

it does have longer legs.

Here's a video of one of the huntsman's smaller cousins.

Even this one has long legs.

So in summary,

figuring out what's the biggest spider in the world

really depends on what you mean by biggest.

If you go by leg length, the giant huntsman wins.

If you go by overall size and weight

the Goliath birdeater still holds the record.

Could there be an even bigger spider

somewhere out there in the world?

The fact that scientists are discovering

new species each year means it's still possible.

That's all for this week's question.

Thanks Aliyah for asking it.

Now, we have something special for this week's episode.

My friends and I here at Mystery Science

have created a step by step activity

where you can make you're own spider

and see how fast it can run away from you.

You could find a link to the activity

at the end of this video.

Okay, for the next question,

I reach into my question jar and found

three questions submitted to me

that I'm thinking about answering.

When this video is done playing,

you'll get to vote on one.

You can choose from;

how is cinnamon made?

Do animals have belly buttons?

Or, why are pumpkins orange?

So submit your vote when the video's over.

I wanna hear from all of you watching.

There are mysteries all around us.

Stay curious and see you next week.

Sammy Watkins Fantasy: Is It Time to Buy Chiefs WR? | Heavy.com - Duration: 3:51.

Sammy Watkins Fantasy: Is It Time to Buy Chiefs WR? | Heavy.com

The Kansas City Chiefs are one of the hottest teams in the NFL right now.

With Patrick Mahomes under center, their offense has been absolutely unstoppable.

As a clear-cut MVP candidate for 2018, the quarterback has been able to spread the ball around nicely to all of his receivers.

Chiefs veteran wide receiver Sammy Watkins has had a weird stretch early on in his young career.

The fifth-year veteran is now on his third team, and nobody was sure just how well he would fit in with the Chiefs over the offseason.

While he hasn't been anything over the top through the first seven weeks, he has had some flashes.

And after a big showing during week eight, Sammy Watkins has undoubtedly turned some heads against the Denver Broncos this week.

Time to Buy Watkins?.

Before week eight, Watkins had 26 receptions for 346 yards and only one touchdown.

He's been decent fantasy-wise when it comes to getting yardage, but his inability to find the end zone has been killing off his fantasy value all season long.

Once again, it seemed like Watkins would become useless fantasy wise.

That all changed on Sunday, as Watkins found the end zone against the Broncos not once, but twice during week eight.

Watkins finished up the day with eight receptions for 107 yards and two scores.

Nobody could predict his big day against the Broncos, but could this be a trend for Watkins and the Chiefs moving forward?.

There are two reasons why it's difficult for fantasy owners to trust Sammy Watkins.

One reason being his inability to remain healthy at times.

And the second reason being his inconsistency throughout the season.

For the most part, Watkins has been relatively healthy.

But his struggles to produce big numbers make it hard to buy in on the receiver.

There's no chance that Watkins takes over as a WR1 as long as Tyreek Hill is on the roster, but it wouldn't be a bad idea to buy low on Watkins, if possible.

As Watkins and Mahomes start to find a connection, Watkins could be a dependable addition to your fantasy teams for cheap as the playoffs approach.

The OnePlus 6T is the best phone value right now - Duration: 5:19.

(upbeat electronic music)

- Here it is, the OnePlus 6T.

It looks a lot like this, the OnePlus 6,

but with a couple of significant changes.

You'll be able to buy it, starting on November 1st,

for $549 and up.

Now, before I get into some of the other changes

that are on the 6T, there's a big one

that a lot of you have been waiting for.

The 6T is the first OnePlus phone

that can be used on Verizon.

This is huge, you can finally use a OnePlus phone

on the biggest carrier in the US,

complete with LTE and VoLTE service.

In addition, the OnePlus 6T will be sold

directly by T-Mobile in the US, making it the first

OnePlus phone sold by any carrier here.

You'll be able to find it in every T-Mobile store

and use T-Mobile's device payment plan,

combined with your phone bill to purchase it.

This is a big deal for OnePlus, which has only sold

it's phones online in the US.

And, they'll continue to do so,

so if you want to order it online, you can.

And if you're in the UK, OnePlus will be selling

the 6T on every major carrier, plus on Amazon

and at John Lewis Stores.

Okay, so, let's talks about the phone itself.

There aren't a ton of changes from the 6 that was just

released in May of this year.

But there are a handful of new things

that are pretty significant.

Let's start with the display, it's still an edge to edge

OLED screen, but now it's even larger at 6.4 inches.

The bottom chin is one millimeter smaller,

and the notch at the top is way smaller than before.

It's got this little teardrop kind of shape.

If you hate notches, this is probably the only one

that you'll be able to tolerate.

But even more significant, is that under this screen,

is a fingerprint scanner for unlocking the phone.

OnePlus has removed the traditional fingerprint scanner

that was on the back of the 6

and completely embedded it inside the 6T screen.

That makes the 6T the first phone in the US

to offer this kind of feature.

Now, you can use it to unlock the phone, log into apps

that support fingerprint logins like your bank account app,

or something like that.

Or, authenticate locked data and apps.

OnePlus says that it works through screen protectors,

and through small scratches on the screen,

and it's just as secure as the traditional style scanners.

Now, the company claims that this scanner is the fastest

in-screen scanner in any phone.

But, I don't really have a bunch of other phones

with this feature to compare it to.

But, I can tell you that it's not as fast as the traditional

fingerprint reader that you're probably used to.

There's a little pause or beat each time that you use it

because the light has to illuminate

before it scans your finger and then the phone unlocks.

I don't think this is a huge problem.

It's still fast and it still works reliably

most of the time, but it is noticeable.

Now if you do want a faster more convenient,

but way less secure way to unlock your phone,

the 6T has the same face unlocking system

that uses the front camera and is wicked fast.

Inside the 6T has the same set of specs as before.

It's a Snapdragon 845 processor, six or eight gigs of RAM.

Up to 256 gigs of storage.

What's different is you can't buy a 64 gig model anymore.

The base model of the 6T starts at 128.

OnePlus has also bumped up the battery capacity,

up to 3,700 milliamp powers, which it says provides

20% more battery life than the 6.

I haven't been using the 6T long enough to test this,

but it's a significantly larger battery pushing the same

processor and same screen resolution.

So, it's safe to assume that,

it will probably last longer than before.

That bigger battery does change a couple of things

with the body of the phone.

It's a little thicker and a little heavier than before,

and the back has more of a curve than the 6.

I actually find it to be nicer to hold than the 6 though,

it fits my hand better and it just feels more substantial.

But, this is still a big phone

and if you find big phones to be hard to use,

you're gonna have a hard time with this one.

The other big thing that OnePlus changed is that it

removed the headphone jack that was on the 6.

Now, it's just as annoying here as it is on the Pixel

or the iPhone, or any other phone without a headphone jack.

But, OnePlus is including a little adapter in the box,

so you can use your 3.5 millimeter headphones with it.

You might also miss the notification LED at the top,

which has been removed in pursuit

of this tiny little teardrop notch.

And OnePlus still isn't offering wireless charging,

which is a bummer when practically

every other phone has it now.

And it still doesn't have proper

water resistance certification.

But, it does have OnePlus's extremely fast wired charging,

provided you use the included charging brick and cable

that come in the box.

The 6T's camera is exactly as before.

It's got a 16 megapixel main camera,

with a 20 megapixel second sensor for portrait effects.

Plus a 16 megapixel front camera.

But OnePlus has added a bunch of software tweaks

and a couple of new features,

including a better portrait mode,

better low light shots, and a new night-scape mode

for nighttime landscapes and cityscapes.

And if you have a OnePlus 6, all of those new

camera features will be coming in a software update.

So, look out for that.

The 6T is launching with OnePlus's Oxygen OS,

on top of Android 9 Pie.

It does have a couple of new features,

it has improved gesture control system

and some better memory management tweaks.

So there you go, that's the new OnePlus 6T.

Just like the 3T and the 5T before it, it takes the phone

that OnePlus launched a few months ago,

tweaks it, refines it, and makes it a better overall device.

It's a really good phone

and it still has a really aggressive price.

Especially compared the new phones from Apple and Google.

And this time around, Verizon users get to join the fun.

Hey, thanks for watching, for more on the OnePlus 6T

including our full review with camera samples

and all that fun stuff, be sure to check out the verge.com.

What is the Sinners Prayer? | How to Pray a Salvation Prayer | GotQuestions.org - Duration: 3:42.

Today's question is, "What is the sinner's prayer?"

In this video I'll answer that question from a biblical perspective.

Afterwards, as always, I'll share some helpful resources, so stick around until the end.

The sinner's prayer is a prayer a person prays to God when they understand that they are

a sinner and in need of a Savior.

Saying a sinner's prayer will not accomplish anything on its own.

A true sinner's prayer only represents what a person knows, understands, and believes

about their sinfulness and need for salvation.

The first aspect of a sinner's prayer is understanding that we are all sinners.

Romans 3:10 proclaims, "As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one."

The Bible makes it clear that we have all sinned.

We are all sinners in need of mercy and forgiveness from God.

Because of our sin, we deserve eternal punishment.

The sinner's prayer is a plea for grace instead of judgment.

It is a request for mercy instead of wrath.

The second aspect of a sinner's prayer is knowing what God has done to remedy our lost

and sinful condition.

God took on flesh and became a human being in the Person of Jesus Christ.

Jesus taught us the truth about God and lived a perfectly righteous and sinless life.

Jesus then died on the cross in our place, taking the punishment that we deserve.

Jesus rose from the dead to prove His victory over sin, death, and hell.

Because of all of this, we can have our sins forgiven and be promised an eternal home in

Heaven - if we will just place our faith in Jesus Christ.

All we have to do is believe that He died in our place and rose from the dead.

We can be saved by grace alone, through faith alone, in Jesus Christ alone.

Ephesians 2:8 declares, "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this

not from yourselves, it is the gift of God."

Saying the sinner's prayer is simply a way of declaring to God that you are relying on

Jesus Christ as your Savior.

There are no "magical" words that result in salvation.

It is only faith in Jesus' death and resurrection that can save us.

If you understand that you are a sinner and in need of salvation through Jesus Christ,

here is a sinner's prayer you can pray to God: "God, I know that I am a sinner.

I know that I deserve the consequences of my sin.

However, I am trusting in Jesus Christ as my Savior.

I believe that His death and resurrection provided for my forgiveness.

I trust in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Savior.

Thank you Lord, for saving me and forgiving me!

Amen!"
