Invitation: join our closed beta for "goal value" - Duration: 1:52.

Hi, I am Sander, CEO at Unless.com and I would like to invite you

to participate in a brand new closed beta!

Last week, I announced the release of the first version of "suggested audiences".

It's a new feature that helps you segmenting your traffic into

groups of visitors that are most likely to be successful.

To define "success", you can inform the Unless system about your business objectives,

by setting "goals" that your visitors can achieve.

A goal can be reaching a thank-you page in a checkout, downloading a brochure, or any

other event that you deem important.

Last week, we also released an additional feature in closed beta that will greatly improve

the accuracy of our algorithms - but more importantly, give you additional tools

to recognize your visitors with.

With this feature, you can set a monetary value for any goal, that represents

the worth of that event to you.

For example, if somebody buys a pair of shoes, you can tell us that your revenue increased

by 92 Euro, or if somebody returns the pair, you can tell us that it dropped 92 Euro plus

the administrative costs of 15 Euro.

Why is this important?

This means that you can set up different user experiences

based on the visitor life time value so far.

For example, you can reward high value customers with a discount to make them buy even more.

More impactful even, we will be able to tell your remarketing system to stop remarketing

the people that have a negative impact on your revenue,

because they return your goods all the time!

This can have a significant impact on your business!

My request for today: if you are interested in trying this out, please get in touch.

The first few people who are willing to use this feature, we will help

with the implementation and additional advice.

Feel free to contact me through Linkedin or by sending an email to sander@unless.com.

Thanks!

Horizon prize for materials for clean air - Duration: 2:16.

We breathe more than 25,000 times a day,

inhaling 10,000 litres of air into our lungs.

Through this vital reflex, we are exposed to airborne threats such as Particulate Matter,

which can affect our health in the near and medium-term future,

but also our long-term sustainability.

According to the World Health Organisation,

air pollution caused by natural and human activities

is the biggest environmental risk to health in the European Union.

This is why the European Commission launched the Horizon Prize on Materials for Clean Air in 2015 .

This 3 million-euro Prize rewards the person or the team

that has developed an innovative and well-designed material solution

to reduce the concentration of particulate matter in the air.

Today, the Corning air purification technology is being developed.

We have very good results with prototypes

which enable us to have air quality

below the maximum pollution tolerance levels fixed by the WHO.

These filters can either be installed in air-handling units or inserted in ventilation ducts.

In doing so,

we can protect a large population in confined environments

such as underground or train stations and airports,

or protect a particularly vulnerable population such as children in schools or in hospitals.

It is particularly important to have this type of public funding initiative,

especially the European Community so as to finance the development

of experimental units on a larger scale in a real environment,

in order to better understand the needs and economic models

with the knowledge that we could foresee to be ready for the 2024 Paris Olympics.

What are the Top 10 Trends in Psychology for 2019 - Duration: 2:31.

What are the top 10 trends to watch for in psychology in 2019.

Here's a quick breakdown from the APA Monitor on Psychology Annual Trends

Report. At number 10 - the rise of digital therapies. Evidence based apps could

enhance and even replace medications for treating a range of mental health issues.

Number 9 - treating our misuse of digital devices. People's attachment to social

media, emails, and texts fuel anxiety. Psychologists are now spearheading

efforts to help wean people off of technology. Number eight - designing

smarter technology. As experts in human behavior psychologists, have become

integral to ensuring that technology is truly helpful and easy to use.

Number seven - big data is getting bigger. People's use of social media, wearables,

and other new sources of data is opening more avenues for psychological

researchers to explore real world human behavior. Number six - shining the

spotlight on equity. Current events have kicked psychologists activism into high

gear causing many to prioritize fighting on behalf of vulnerable people like immigrants

and refugees. Number five - a re-envisioning of long-term care.

Psychologists are playing an important role in creating and guiding new patient

centered care models that seek to better serve residents and staff in long-term

care. Number four - a greater role in nutritional health. New research shows

that we are what we eat - physically and mentally. Psychologists

are now focusing on nutrition to improve people's whole health. Number three -

a growing demand for sports psychologists. Sports psychologists

skills are increasingly being sought out by nonathletes in high-stress jobs such

as surgeons firefighters and performers. Number two - the rise of non-drug pain

treatments in response to the opioid crisis. Psychologists are in demand for

non-drug treatment options for chronic pain. And, at number one - climate change is

our call to action. Organizations and lawmakers are tapping into psychologists'

expertise to mitigate climate change and help people adapt to a warming world.

2019 will be another exciting year for psychology. To learn more about these

trends click the link to APA's Monitor on Psychology at the top

sedApta Group & Microsoft: innovative solutions for Digital Transformation challenges - Duration: 6:25.

We have been talking about Microsoft and sedApta,

this partnership that has been going on for some time now.

As you know, Microsoft has been very focused

on cloud-related issues lately,

and at times we have forgotten to look at plants' information systems.

We can say that sedApta helped us remember

that this was perhaps a very important point to focus on,

and I must say that we have been actively working on it

for two years now, two years if not more.

Almost all manufacturers have stopped make-to-stock processing

and have begun processing along configure-to-order lines.

If I work using make-to-stock logic I can carry out planning

once a year, twice a year,

put the finished products in stock and wait for someone to sell them,

while if I work using configure-to-order logic,

I must, continuously, weekly and in some cases,

in the case of fresh products,

daily reschedule what I process based on a series of what-ifs.

Let's take the fashion industry, for example.

Typically in this industry, you had the summer collection,

then the winter collection,

and based on the success of the fashion shows

you decided what to produce, it was produced,

put in stores and you waited for it to sell.

Today companies like Zara, but by now all of them,

we work with Fendi, we work with many,

make decisions on a daily basis depending on the sales data

coming from the stores around the world:

what you are selling and what you are not selling,

then re-planning production based on this data.

83% of manufacturing companies

no longer want to sell products, but want to start selling services.

One example is Rolls Royce,

which no longer sells plane engines but sells an engine as a service,

so that, based on consumption

and everything related to the maintenance status of that engine,

it provides the final customer with a rate.

How is this possible?

Of course, this is possible if that engine

is continually connected to the Rolls Royce hub itself.

In doing so, it manages to keep a series of information

and make a definite and vertical price for the customer.

Azure IoT Center came from a Made in Italy acquisition of Solair,

some of you will surely have heard of it:

it is the simplified development environment

that transforms a small Italian manufacturing company,

just as much as is necessary, into a small software house,

giving it the chance to carry out remote monitoring

and predictive maintenance that it can offer

to its end customers.

We need more and more information in real-time,

thus we need a new system for monitoring production assets

and final products

in order to improve both production processes

and improve the telemetry of the product,

to have more information on the life cycle of the product itself.

We need what is called predictive maintenance,

so we need a system that lets us

redefine the way we map maintenance

and how we interact with the customer in post-sales.

This makes it possible to integrate processes in the typical Italian company

that normally activates at the point

when a customer says, "I have a problem, I must respond in some way".

More than an integration of processes,

above all the people

within a company must work in an orchestrated manner;

it is important for them to have the new technologies,

but above all people must work well within the company,

with new technologies and old technologies,

in order to optimise and synchronise people's work.

It is precisely partners like sedApta

who are specialised in the manufacturing world that can help.

As you can see, this is one of our core pillars

allowing us to enter and specialise

in a world that needs incredible technical and specialist knowledge.

Over the last five years, too many companies

have earmarked money for repositories of data

that they have done nothing with,

while so much data is collected nowadays,

reaching such a high frequency,

that we must immediately associate it with algorithms

so that this information turns into processes.

If companies are in the know, they can make decisions on big data,

but they also earn from the processes;

so this, coupled with new data and new artificial intelligence,

gives our companies the possibility to create new processes

that they can also earn with.

We have intelligent systems to interpret data,

transform it into information,

transform this information into flows,

orchestrate them and call people to intervene in the right place

at the right time.

You increase the efficiency of your company

and reduce your costs.

Hello everyone, my name is Marco Planchestainer

and I represent FlexNAV,

a company that specifically deals with dynamics nav solutions

and has adopted the sedApta suite as a strategic tool

for certain types of companies.

We are part of a larger group called SMC Group

that has chosen sedApta as one of its strategic products,

because we reach a certain point where we have a type of clientele

that needs more.

In this case, the sedApta suite proved to be

a strategic and winning element.

To give the company a finite capacity,

to give it a demand planner

we must offer a higher level solution,

which is where sedApta came in,

which proved to be the right solution for this type of customer.

We are talking about Umbra Group,

a company that has always believed in and always leaned

towards technological innovations,

and above all on the integration between its people

and the technological innovation brought with the adoption

of application solutions.

So today the model that Umbra Group intends to achieve,

having changed its size and having internationalised its structure,

is to centralise a planning solution

and to cascade its finite capacity scheduling systems

measured by shop floor monitor systems.
