Waching daily Oct 30 2018

The future of work is at the heart of all of the major socio-economic

political debates you can see raging around the world today, whether about border

walls or Brexit or immigration or surveillance policies or the

concentration of wealth amongst the 1%. All of them are really at their roots

about the nature and distribution of work and the reason these arguments are

so fierce at the moment? Precisely because people understand that works

changing more quickly than ever before and the robots aren't coming, they're

here! The angst that many people are feeling in a world where machines can do

everything can only be calmed by creating new, better work for people to

do. That's why last year we came up with a list of 21 jobs of the future and

why we've now come up with a list of 21 more jobs. Here's some of the work we

think you and your kids will be doing before not too long. The way we interact

to objects and services all around us is a communication tool. We need Haptic

Planners to identify which wearables and touch surface platforms combined to

market our brands and products. Question is, do you know when something

instinctively feels right? Could you help up our product teams to turn a cheap device

into a luxury item with the right weight and texture? Could you lead a team

building sensory experiences across a range of haptic media platforms? Do you

want to work at the cutting edge of technology, marketing and materiality?

Then apply today! Now.Here.

Our vertical farms bring fresh food to tables faster than ever and with a

fraction of the water used by traditional farms. The technology

powering this operation calls for a specifically skilled individual. The

techie with a green thumb and the knack for community organizing. You'll maintain

the facility, analyze crop yields and educate our customers on best practices

for preparing the produce their community eats most. With the job this

important, we need the cream of the crop. Are you the needle in the haystack that

we've been looking for?

We're looking for the new breed of Special Forces agents.

The battlefields of tomorrow will exist in the Technium and we need digital

warriors to keep our nation secure in this new battle arena. Cyber offense

agents will be these new soldiers protecting our nation's interests

through offensive cyber attacks against our enemies. You won't work alone but

form part of a core unit within our National Cybersecurity Center. Do you

think you've got what it takes to be the best?

Once again we've orientated the jobs our report around two key axes:

tech-centricity and time. Some of the jobs of the future will be highly technical but

some won't. Some are already observable in the marketplace today or some are years

away from coming to fruition. Some will propel a career for 60 years: the length

of time most of us will soon be working, while others will be gigs that come and go.

We're looking for someone to unpick what makes our workers tick.

We've already scrapped the nine-to-five the 5-day working week and we're

unshackling the concepts of limited holiday allowance and sick leave. Why?

Because they're creativity killers. How did we prove it? With people data. Now we're

looking for a new head of business behavior who will oversee the ethical

collection and analysis of our employee behavioral data, unlocking even more

insights to transform our employees' potential. In this role you will directly

influence our people strategy, from employee experience to the collaboration

culture. Think you're up to the job?

We need a Machine Risk Officer to manage unprecedented exposure and new

responsibilities related to machines. Can you proactively address machine ethics

issues and help people overcome fears by building human-machine trust and can we

depend on you to protect company's brand, reputation and finances from the unknown

consequences of machines' failures? If you answered yes to either of these

questions, then the role of Machine Risk Officer is calling your name.

Videogames have jumped off the TV console and into the big leagues of the

sports industry. And just like regular sports fans want to share a match

together so to with esports aficionados. We need esports Arena builders to

define, design and build all aspects related to the esports industry. Tell me

about your experience in cage gaming or AR/VR displays with haptic feedback.

And can you curate multi day long fan experiences? What about sourcing

scores of multilingual shoutcasters? Like a good game of Fortnight, the scope is

huge. Are you ready to drop in? At a time in which some of the downsides of

technology are more visible than ever, the types of jobs featured in this

year's report which relate to ethics, security and the hope that our better

angels prevail, stemmed from our desire to continue to believe in the positive

power of technological-driven progress. However work changes in the future, our

foundational belief is that our human imagination and ingenuity will be the

source of human work ad infinitum. Human work that is better than the often

inhuman work which many people currently do and which will soon be automated away.

CITY, ACCUSED IN THE WORST

ATTACK ON FEWISH PEOPLE IN --

JEWISH PEOPLE IN AMERICAN

HISTORY.

AN ARM POLICE ESCORT BROUGHT

ROBERT BOWERS TO HIS FIRST COURT

APPEARANCE TODAY.

THE 46-YEAR-OLD ARRIVED SHACKLED

TO A WHEELCHAIR AFTER BEING

RELEASED IN HOSPITAL.

HE'S FACING 29 FEDERAL COUNTS

INCLUDING HATE CRIMES.

>> THE JUDGE ADVISED HIM OF THE

CHARGES AGAINST HIM.

HE IS DETAINED IN JAIL WITHOUT

BOND.

>> PROSECUTORS ALSO TOOK THE

FIRST STEPS TODAY TOWARDS

SEEKING THE DEATH PENALTY

AGAINST BOWERS.

BUT AS PAUL HUNTER REPORTS,

THAT'S SMALL COMFORT TO A CITY

STRUGGLING WITH GRIEF AND FEAR.

>> Reporter: THEY TURN OUT ONE

BY ONE, SOME WITH FLOWERS TO LAY

OUTSIDE THE SYNAGOGUE.

OTHERS SIMPLY TO BE HERE TO

CONTEMPLATE AND GRIEVE ALONGSIDE

THE MARKERS OF THE DEAD.

LYNN GROSS CAME HERE TO GRIEVE.

>> I CAN'T STOP CRYING.

IT'S JUST TERRIBLE.

>> Reporter: SHE AND HER HUSBAND

LIVE NOT FAR AS POLICE CONTINUED

THEIR INVESTIGATION INSIDE, THEY

TRIED MERELY EVEN TO UNDERSTAND.

>> THERE'S A LOT OF PEOPLE IN

THIS WORLD THAT HAVE HATE FOR A

LOT OF OTHER PEOPLE.

I GUESS THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED

HERE.

>> I THINK WE NEED TO PROTECT

OURSELVES IS THE OTHER THING

WHICH IS REALLY SCARY.

SON SAYING THERE'S SOMETHING

HAPPENING AT TREE OF LIFE.

DO YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

>> FIENBERG'S BEST FRIENDS, CODE

DODIE AND RALPH HAVE SEEN THE

U.S. TAKE AN UGLY TURN.

>> THERE'S BEEN A CHANGE IN

TENOR IN THE COUNTRY FOR THE

LAST TWO YEARS.

I'M SURE THAT TRUMP HIMSELF IS

NOT AN ANTI-SEMITE.

I THINK THERE'S NO EVIDENCE OF

THAT ON HIS PART, BUT HE IS

SPOKING UP A RESENTMENT AGAINST

OTHERNESS.

>> Reporter: MANY WONDER IS IT

FOREVER CHANGE.

THEY SAY SATURDAY'S ATTACK WILL

NOT DEFEAT THIS PLACE.

>> IT MAKES PEOPLE STRONGER.

IT MAKES PEOPLE CARE MORE ABOUT

EACH OTHER.

>> Reporter: THEY'RE REMARKABLE,

ECHOED OUTSIDE THAT SYNAGOGUE

WHERE THE RABBI WHO CALLED FOR

HELP FROM INSIDE THE SYNAGOGUE

SATURDAY TOLD CBC IN THE TWO

DAYS SINCE, HE'S HAD SUPPORT

FROM AROUND THE WORLD, JEWS,

MUSLIM, SIKH, EVERYONE WITH

SUPPORT AND LOVE WHICH IS

REASSURING TO ME.

IT TELLS US THAT HERE IN

PITTSBURGH, HATE WILL NOT

TRIUMPH.

LOVE WILL WIN OUT THE DAY.

HATE IS NOT WELCOME IF

PITTSBURGH.

>> Reporter: TOMORROW, FUNERALS

BEGIN FOR SOME OF THOSE KILLED.

THERE WILL BE MORE TO FOLLOW

THROUGH THE END OF THE WEEK.

>> Andrew: JUST ON THAT NOTE OF

LOVE WINNING OUT, WE KNOW MORE

ABOUT WHAT HAPPENED TO THE

SUSPECT AFTER HE WAS SHOT?

>> Reporter: WE WERE TALKING

ABOUT HOW HE WAS UNDER GUARD IN

THE POLICE SHOOT-OUT THAT ENDED

THE CAMPAIGN.

IT TURNS OUT, EVEN AS HE WAS

SHOOTING KILL ALL THE JEWS, THE

FIRST THREE HOSPITAL STAFFERS TO

TREAT HIM WERE JEWISH.

THEY DID IT WITHOUT QUESTION,

JUST DOING THEIR JOB, TAKING

CARE OF SICK PEOPLE, EVEN HIM.

>> Andrew: CBC'S PAUL HUNTER IN

PITTSBURGH TONIGHT.

THANKS.

>>> AS VIGILS CONTINUE IN

PITTSBURGH TONIGHT, LEADERS IN

JEWISH COMMUNITIES ACROSS CANADA

HELD THEIR OWN EVENTS HONOURING

THE VICTIMS OF THIS WEEKEND'S

SHOOTING.

[*]

>>> IT COULD HAVE BEEN ME.

I GO TO SYNAGOGUE AND PLAY.

I GO TO JEWISH EVENTS.

THESE TYPES OF THINGS ARE NOT

OKAY.

THEY'RE NOT OKAY IN PITTSBURGH.

THEY'RE NOT OKAY IN ISRAEL.

THEY'RE NOT OKAY IN NEW YORK,

EVEN ST. JOHN'S, NEWFOUNDLAND.

WE ALL NEED TO TAKE A STAND

AGAINST ANTI-SEMITISM.

[*]

>> WE ARE IN THE DEPTHS RIGHT

NOW IN SUCH PAIN, JOINING THE

VICTIMS OF CHARLESTON, OF QUEBEC

CITY, AND ALL THE VICTIMS OF

HATE AND INTOLERANCE AROUND THE

WORLD.

THE WORLD STILL HAS NOT LEARNED,

HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO GET PAST

THE HATE AND THE BARBARISM THAT

WE THOUGHT BY NOW WE COULD

TRANSCEND.

[*]

>> THE BONDS BETWEEN EACH OTHER,

WITHIN OUR COMMUNITY, BETWEEN

OUR COMMUNITY.

THAT'S WHAT WE DO.

WE CONTINUE TO BE JEWS.

WE CONTINUE TO BE PROUD JEWS.

>> Andrew: THE MAN ACCUSED

DIDN'T HIDE HIS ANIMOSITY TOWARD

JEWISH PEOPLE.

HOURS BEFORE THE ATTACK, HE

POSTED AN ONLINE COMMENT ABOUT

HIAS, A GROUND FOUNDED TO HELP

JEWS FLEE.

I'LL READ YOU WHAT HE WROTE.

>> THAT WAS ON THE GAP SOCIAL

NETWORK, A PLACE THAT'S BECOME

HOME TO EXTREME OPINIONS THAT

LARGER FLAT FORMS WON'T

TOLERATE.

GAB IS SHUT DOWN FOR NOW.

IDEAS LIKE THE ONE YOU JUST

HEARD AREN'T LIMITED TO DARK

CORNERS OF THE INTERNET.

AS ELLEN MAURO TELLS US, YOU CAN

GET THEM ON TV.

>> YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO

COME HERE.

>> Reporter: LOOK NO FURTHER

THAN FOX NEWS.

>> YOU CAN TELL THE DEMOCRATS

GEORGE SOROS AND THE ANGRY MOB

THAT'S COMING HERE, YOU COME THE

RIGHT WAY LIKE EVERYONE ELSE OR

BE READY TO FACE THE MILITARY

AND A ON ONE-WAY TICKET BACK TO

WHERE YOU CAME FROM.

>> Reporter: THE CARAVAN BLAMED

ON LIBERAL FINANCIER GEORGE

SOROS WHO IS JEWISH AND A

HOLOCAUST SURVIVOR.

HE WAS A TARGET IN LAST WEEK'S

MAIL BOMB SPREE.

EVEN THOUGH THE PITTSBURGH

SHOOTER ALSO BLAMED THE JEWISH

ORGANIZATION FOR THE CARAVAN,

FOX AIRED THIS CLIP JUST HOURS

LATER.

>> A LOT OF THESE FOLKS HAVE

AFFILIATES GETTING MONEY FROM

THE SORROWS OKAY -- S0, ROS OKAY

IDENTIFIED STATE.

>> THESE ATTACKS ON SOROS ARE

DRIVEN BY HIS JEWISH FAITH.

THE FACT HE'S BECOME A SYMBOL IS

NOT AN ACCIDENT.

>> Reporter: THIS CONGRESSMAN

CLAIMS SOROS TWEETING A VIDEO

SHOWING THE CARAVAN AS A MOB.

>> WE HAVE TO STOP THE

CONSPIRACY THEORIES.

>> Reporter: HIS MOTHER FLED

GERMANY.

>> WE HAVE TO TAKE MOAT OF WHAT

WE'VE -- NOTE OF WHAT WE'VE

BECOME AND WE HAVE TO COMMIT TO

WALKING THIS BACK, TONING IT

DOWN, UNDERSTANDING OTHERS AND

DEMANDING OF OUR POLITICIANS THE

SAME.

>> President Donald Trump: YOU

WATCH THE CLINTON NEWS NETWORK

CNN.

IT'S A JOKE.

>> Reporter: THE PRESIDENT IS NO

STRANGER TO PEDALING CONSPIRACY,

WITHOUT PROOF, HE ACCUSED HIM OF

FUNDING.

HE SAYS UNKNOWN MIDDLE

EASTERNERS HAVE INFILTRATED THE

CARAVAN.

>> THERE IS NO PROOF OF

ANYTHING.

THERE'S NO PROOF OF ANYTHING.

>> Reporter: THAT'S WHAT WORRIES

SO MANY IN THIS COUNTRY, THAT

FACTS DON'T MATTER.

HATRED CAN GET A FREE PASS.

>> ELLEN JOINS US FROM

WASHINGTON.

YOU MENTIONED THE CARAVAN.

WHAT IS TRUMP'S LATEST MOVE ON

THAT.

>> Reporter: WELL, IT WAS

ANNOUNCED TONIGHT THAT PRESIDENT

TRUMP HAS ORDERED SOME 5200

TROOPS TO THE NEXT CAN BORDER --

MEXICAN BORDER BY THE END OF THE

WEEK.

IT'S CALLED OPERATION FAITHFUL

PATRIOT.

THE WITHOUT SAYS IT'S ABOUT

SECURING THE -- ABOUT SECURING

THE BORDER.

THE CARAVAN IS STILL 1500

KILOMETRES AWAY FROM THE UNITED

STATES.

IT WILL NOT ARRIVE AT THE BORDER

FOR WEEKS AT THE EARLIEST.

IT WILL LIKELY BE MUCH SMALLER

IN NUMBER BY THE TIME IT DOES.

SO FOR THOSE REASONS, THIS IS

BEING SEEN AS MORE OF AN

ELECTION STRATEGY, ANDREW, TO

RILE UP, TO PLEASE THE BASE

BEFORE NEXT WEEK'S MIDTERMS.

>> Andrew: THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

>> Reporter: YOU'RE WELCOME.

>>> IF YOU ASK PEOPLE WHO

COLLECT DATA ON HATE CRIMES IN

THE STATES, THEY'LL TELL YOU

THEY SEE THE EFFECT OF A

POISONOUS PUBLIC DISCOURSE.

>> I THINK OUR POLARIZED

ENVIRONMENT, WE SEE PEOPLE, YOU

KNOW, BRINGING THE KIND OF

TOXICITY INTO THE POLITICAL

CONVERSATIONS WE'VE JUST NEVER

SEEN BEFORE.

>> LAST YEAR IN THE U.S., THE

NUMBER OF ANTI-SEMITIC INCIDENTS

INCREASED BY 57% COMPARED TO THE

YEAR BEFORE.

THAT'S THE BIGGEST JUMP SINCE

THIS DATA WAS FIRST COLLECTED IN

1979.

AND WHEN DONALD TRUMP RESPONDED

TO THE PITTSBURGH MASS SHOOTING,

HE SUGGESTED THE ANSWER TO

DEADLY VIOLENCE WAS MORE GUNS.

>> IF THEY HAD PROTECTION

INSIDE, THE RESULTS WOULD HAVE

BEEN FAR BETTER.

>> ARMED SECURITY IS NOT LEGAL

IN CANADA'S HOUSES OF WORSHIP.

STILL, ANTE SEMITIC CRIMES ROSE

BY 24% EVEN AS CRIMES TARGETING

MUSLIMS AND CATHOLICS DECLINED.

>>> SOME SYNAGOGUES USE SECURITY

GUARDS.

WE ASKED MICHAEL TO JOIN US.

YOU'RE WITH THE CONGREGATION

HERE IN ENTER TO.

THANKS FOR JOINING US.

CAN YOU EXPLAIN FOR US WHAT THE

SECURITY SITUATION IS AT YOUR

SYNAGOGUE?

>> IN OUR SYNAGOGUE, WE HAVE

PAID SECURITY ON SITE ANY TIME

THE BUILDING IS OPEN AND WE'RE

EXPECTING THE COMMUNITY OR

MEMBERS TO BE PRESENT FOR AN

EVENT.

>> AND I UNDERSTAND THAT FOR

MAJOR MILESTONES, SPECIAL

EVENTS, YOU HIRE POLICE TO BE

THERE.

>> CORRECT, FOR SPECIAL LIFE

CYCLE EVENTS AS WELL AS FOR OUR

HIGH HOLY DAYS IN THE FALL.

WE TRY TO HAVE AN EVEN GREATER

SECURITY PRESENCE.

>> AND SO WHY DID YOU FEEL THE

NEED TO HAVE THESE LAYERS OF

SECURITY?

>> HIRING OF SECURITY GUARDS

BEGAN AT OUR SYNAGOGUE WITH

9-11.

BEFORE THEN IT WAS COMMON FOR US

TO BE OPEN AND NOT HAVE A FORMAL

SECURITY PRESENCE.

BUT SINCE THAT TIME, WE FOUND

THE NEED NOT NEARLY IN RESPONSE

TO WORLD SHATTERING EVENTS SUCH

AS THIS OR THE HORRIBLE

ANTI-SEMITIC CRIME IN

PITTSBURGH, BUT FOR THE LARGER

ATMOSPHERE WHERE ANTI-SEMITISM

IS PRESENT.

IT'S ON THE RICE.

WE NEED TO MAKE SURE THAT

COMMUNITY MEMBERS AND THOSE WHO

PARTICIPATE IN OUR TRADITIONS

AND SERVICES FEEL SAFE AND

SECURE WHEN THEY COME TO BE WITH

THEIR COMMUNITY.

>> BUT WHAT IS IT LIKE FOR THOSE

COMMUNITY MEMBERS?

I MEAN, TO HAVE PAID SECURITY AT

THE DOORS ALL THE TIME?

>> SADLY, IT'S SOMETHING WE'VE

ALREADY BECOME ACCUSTOMED TO,

THAT IT'S SUCH A PART OF OUR

LIFE EVERY DAY THAT WE NEED --

PEOPLE FEEL MORE COMFORTABLE

SEEING A SECURITY PERSON THAN

BEING CONCERNED THAT NO ONE IS

PRESENT AND THE DOOR IS WIDE

OPEN.

>> YOU KNOW, I'M CURIOUS BECAUSE

I STILL WONDER IF, IN HIRING

PAID SECURITY TO BE AT THE

SYNAGOGUE AT ALL TIMES WHEN

THESE DOORS ARE OPEN, WHETHER

YOU FEEL LIKE YOU'VE GIVEN

SOMETHING UP, THAT, PERHAPS,

YOU'VE PAID A STEEPER COST THAN

SIMPLY THE COST OF HIRING

SECURITY.

>> I REMEMBER WHEN WE FIRST DID

IT.

WE'VE HAD TO MAKE DIFFICULT

DECISIONS.

THERE WERE THOSE WHO URGED US TO

HAVE CAMERAS AT THE DOORS AND TO

BUZZ IN EVERY INDIVIDUAL.

WE DECIDED AT OUR SYNAGOGUE THAT

WE WEREN'T WILLING TO GIVE UP ON

THAT PERSON TO PERSON CONTACT,

THAT PEOPLE SHOULDN'T HAVE TO

FEEL LIKE THEY'RE ENTERING A

FORTRESS WHEN THEY ENTER.

SO WE DID HAVE TO MAKE DECISIONS

ABOUT HOW MUCH WE WERE WILLING

TO GIVE UP IN ORDER TO PROVIDE

OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS WITH THAT

FEELING OF SECURITY THEY SO RICH

LEE DESERVE.

>> OKAY.

WE'LL LEAVE IT THERE.

IT WAS GOOD TO TALK TO YOU.

>> PLEASURE TO BE WITH YOU.

>>> AND ONE LAST NOTE ON THIS

STORY.

THE AMERICAN JEWISH COMMITTEE IS

CALLING ON JEWISH COMMUNITIES

ACROSS THE COUNTRY ALONG WITH

ELECTED OFFICIALS, RELIGIOUS AND

CIVIC LEADERS TO FLOCK TO

SYNAGOGUES THIS SHABBAT.

IT'S CALLED SHOW UP FOR SHABBAT.

IT'S MEANT TO SHOW THAT PEOPLE

WON'T BE SCARED AWAY FROM

SHOWING THEIR FAITH AND THEIR

IDENTITY.

>>> TURNING TO A CBC NEWS

INVESTIGATION.

WHEN A WINNIPEG WOMAN LEFT HER

ABUSIVE HUSBAND, SHE HOPED SHE

WOULD FEEL SAFE AGAIN.

THAT SENSE OF SAFETY ESPECIALLY

IN HER OWN HOME WAS SHATTERED

WHEN SHE MADE A HORRIFYING

DISCOVERY.

KATIE NICHOLSON INVESTIGATES.

>> Reporter: THE CRUDE HOLE IN

THIS WALL, A CLUE AS TO WHY THIS

WOMAN DOESN'T LIVE HERE ANYMORE.

>> IT JUST MADE ME REALIZE HOW

UNSAFE I WAS IN THAT HOUSE.

>> Reporter: WE'RE CONCEALING

HER IDENTITY BECAUSE OF A BAN.

SHE WAS LYING ON HER BED HAD SHE

SAW AN ELECTRICAL OUTLET SHE

NEVER NOTICED BEFORE.

>> I WAS LIKE, SOMETHING IS OFF.

THERE'S SOMETHING IN THAT THING.

SO I TRIED TAKING IT OUT, BUT I

WAS SO SCARED BECAUSE I THOUGHT

MAYBE IT'S A BOMB.

>> Reporter: POLICE ARRIVED.

NO BOMB, BUT A BOMBSHELL.

TWO HIDDEN CAMERAS TUCKED INTO

THE WALLSFUL HER HOME.

THIS ONE IN HER BEDROOM AND ONE

WITHIN CLEAR VIEW OF THE LIVING

AIR.

SEARCH WARRANT DOCUMENTS

HE'S NOW IN CUSTODY AWAITING

>> Reporter: OVER THE YEARS,

DICK MORRIS HAS BEEN A POLLSTER,

POLITICAL OPERATIVE, AND

HE'S A REPUBLICAN WHO DURING HIS

PREVIOUS INTERLUDE AS A

DEMOCRAT, TIME MAGAZINE

DESCRIBED AS THE MAN WHO HAS

CLINTON'S EAR.

IT WAS DURING HIS TIME ADVISING

PRESIDENT CLINTON THAT HE

DISCOVERED HOW USELESS A GOOD

ECONOMY IS AS A CAMPAIGN

MESSAGE.

IN 1992, CLINTON WON THE

PRESIDENCY BY CAMPAIGNING ON THE

ECONOMY WHEN IT WAS BAD.

THEY REMINDED CAMPAIGN STAFF

THERE WAS ON THE ONE ISSUE, IT'S

THE ECONOMY, STUPID.

BY 1994, CLINTON WANTED TO TAKE

CREDIT FOR IMPROVING THE

ECONOMY.

IN HIS CAMPAIGN BEFORE THE

MIDTERMS.

>> HE WANTED TO TELL PEOPLE

ABOUT THE JOBS HE CREATED AND

THE PROGRESS HE MADE AND ALL THE

THINGS LIKE THAT, LOWERING THE

DEFICIT AND SO FORTH.

AND HE ASKED ME TO DO A SURVEY

FOR HIM RIGHT BEFORE THE

ELECTION.

I CAME BACK TO HIM AND I SAID,

NOBODY WILL BELIEVE YOU DID ANY

OF THOSE THINGS.

THEY DON'T THINK YOU DID.

CLINTON SAID, BUT I DID INCREASE

THE GROWTH RATE.

I DID CREATE THOSE JOBS.

I DID IMPROVE THE ECONOMY.

THEN HILLARY GREW FRUSTRATED AS

WELL AND SAID, BILL, STOP TRYING

TO GET ELECTED FOR THE RIGHT

REASONS.

HE WOULDN'T LISTEN AND WENT

AHEAD AND CAMPAIGNED ON HIS

ACHIEVEMENTS.

NOBODY BOUGHT IT.

NOBODY BELIEVED HIM.

TotalMount Review For the Echo Dot 3rd Gen 2018 - Duration: 4:34.

Hey what is going on everybody Dan here from TechFIt360. I'm sure you all know

that the Amazon echo dot third generation has already been released

today I'll be showing you some mounting options. Sure you can set your echo dot

on a table or even on a desk that's so boring right? Today on the channel I have

a couple of mounts for your new echo dot from TotalMount it's time for my Tech

Snack series, So let's get to it!

So before we get started I would like to invite you to take a moment and

subscribe to the channel I promise promise promise that I'll be here when

you get back and also click the notification bell to be alerted each

time I post a new video another thing before we get started I

want to thank TotalMount for making today's video possible not only did they

supply the mounts for today's video but also hooked me up with a third generation

echo dot if you check out the company's website you'll discover they create

mounts for the Apple TV the fire TV cloud cam apple airport and also some

gaming mounts. Okay now first let's have a look at the total mount outlet and

wall mount I like having options when it comes to

placing my echo dot let's see what we have in the box there's an instruction

manual that will guide you through the three secure mounting options the echo

dot mount made of hard plastic with a sleeve for cable management control the

only color available right now is white and also included other mounting screws

and pin now if you choose the wall mount method you'll have to use the provided

screws for the install of course you still need to be fairly close to an

outlet for power I'm doing the power outlet method two ways to accomplish

this I've already removed the sleeve so now place the mount over the outlet

without removing any screws then insert the pin into the center hole of the

mount make sure the outlet holes line up then insert the power adapter into the

total mount and wind the cable around the mount in the cable storage area

reattach the sleeve plug in the echo dot and you're good to go

in the next method we will secure the mount by removing the outlet center screw

and attaching the total mount to the outlet by inserting the included screw

into the second hole this is the hole right below where we inserted the pin

insert the adapter wind up the cable plug up the echo dot three and again

you're good to go your echo is ready to almost obey your every demand now as you

can see here although the echo three is physically only using one outlet because

it's so large is gonna block that other outlet so this is something you should

consider when deciding on where you want to place your echo dot next is the hole

free wall mount no drilling needed for this one this comes in both black and

white color mounts inside this box you get the user manual two screws just in

case you want a more secure mount and two adhesive strips first I recommend

cleaning the wall area before attaching the adhesive strips simply attach the

strips to the mount the black lettering on the tape is informing you that this

is the wall side adhesive attached to the wall let it sit an hour

and then place the dot inside the Flex arm give it some juice and you're all

done. Alexa: "Thank you for watching today's video" You know the great thing about

using the adhesive strips is that you can easily remove the mount without any

damage to your wall you can pick up more adhesive strips from places like Walmart

Home Depot the Dollar Tree may even sell them. I feel the greatest benefit of

having mounts like these is the protection it provides it's going to be

pretty hard to spill something on your echo dot or knock it off your desk by

accident I've done both so everybody what do you think about these mounts

will you love it or leave it please leave me some comments down below

I'll be giving two of these mounts away and I'll choose my winners from the

first 20 subscribers who let me know they are interested in the comment

section below if you're interested in purchasing some of these total mounts

for yourself just follow the links in my description the outlet and wall mount

sells for $14.99 the white hole free mount sells for $11.99 and the black hole

free mount sells for $12.99 I think these items will make excellent

Christmas gifts for Echo Dot 3 owners. Thank you so much for watching give me

the thumbs up if you enjoy today's video please connect with me on Facebook

Instagram and Twitter and subscribe for more tech videos. Now go out and do a

random act of kindness for someone and I'll see you right back here in my very

next video. GOD BLESS!
