The 10 Best Places To Live In Louisiana | For 2018 - Duration: 10:04.

Louisiana is filled with some of the most amazing small towns and bigger cities in the country.

It can be difficult to know exactly where it's best to settle down.

But for those who have spent significant amounts of time in the city, there are certainly some

places that stand out among the crowd.

Here are the 10 best places to live in Louisiana:

1. Lafayette.

A cultural hotspot, southern Louisiana's Lafayette is a real gem of a city.

The city's long and diverse history has helped to shape its present.

Life in Lafayette is often vibrant, colorful, and extremely tasty.

With a packed calendar of events covering varying themes, a wicked night scene, top-notch

restaurants, and amenities galore, Lafayette life is full of flavor.

Youngsters are unsurprisingly attracted to the city.

Almost one-third of Lafayette's residents are young adults below the age of 34.

Median rents are an affordable $800 a month, and home prices, at $174,000, are also below

the country's average.

Unemployment figures are low, at just 4.7%.

2. Baton Rouge.

The state capital and second-largest city of Louisiana, Baton Rouge's diverse neighborhoods

typically score highly on the livability scale.

The city is a major center for the medical, industrial, shipping, research, and petrochemical

industries, and the technology industry is flourishing and seeing rapid growth.

If you work in one of these areas you won't have a busy commute to work each day living

in Baton Rouge.

Of course, there are many other job opportunities as well.

Not only has the city being placed in the top ten destinations around the US to start

a new business, but it has also been named as one of the top ten places overall for young

adults.

Life's not just about work, though, and Baton Rouge strikes a good balance between

work, rest, and play.

3. New Orleans.

New Orleans, the largest city in Louisiana, comes in at the top place for its staggering

variety of amenities, activities, opportunities.

As with any big city, there are some neighborhoods that are more desirable than others.

Some of the city's best areas to live to include Marlyville, where the median rent

may be higher than the state average, but educational standards are high and family

life is easy.

The neighborhoods of Lakeview and Lakeshore-Lake Vista offer outdoor recreational pursuits

at your fingertips.

New Orleans is perfect for people who love big city living and all the hustle and bustle

of a fast-paced life.

There's definitely no time to feel bored.

If a suburban lifestyle is more up your street, however, you may prefer to live elsewhere

in Louisiana.

4. Alexandria.

With a population of 48,000 people and 17 constituent neighborhoods, Alexandria is the

tenth largest community in Louisiana.

Overall, Alexandria is a city of service providers, sales and office workers, and professionals.

There are especially a lot of people living in Alexandria who work in an office and administrative

support, sales jobs, and healthcare.

One of the benefits of Alexandria is that there is very little traffic.

The average commute to work is 18 minutes, which is substantially less than the national

average.

Not only does this mean that the drive to work is less aggravating, but noise and pollution

levels are lower as a result.

The education level of Alexandria citizens is a little higher than the average for US

cities and towns.

5. Mandeville.

Part of the greater New Orleans metropolitan area, Mandeville sits on the shores of Lake

Pontchartrain.

The population is a little over 12,000.

Low rates of crime, high graduation rates, pleasant weather, and good household income

levels combine to keep locals smiling.

Even the higher-than-average living costs can't bring out a frown.

You won't have to look far to find a decent selection of restaurants and shops, and you

can work off all the delicious local food in one of the fitness centers.

Plus, the vibrant city of New Orleans is within close proximity.

6. Scott.

Lafayette Parish's Scott has a fairly large population, of around 10,000.

The median age is 31, helping to create a place to live that has got bags of energy

with a mature outlook.

The median income is under $50,000, so it's not one of the highest earning areas on the

list.

Quality of life is still great here, and there's plenty of potentials to save some pennies

thanks to the area having some of the lowest living costs when compared to other popular

places to live in Louisiana.

Scott also boasts high employment rates, with just 4.7% of the community out of work.

It's a healthy place to live too; the air quality score is a low 33.

7. Bossier City.

Bossier City is located on the eastern bank of the Red River, just across from the larger

metropolis of Shreveport.

The city is currently home to approximately 65,000 residents who are drawn to the strong

economy, affordable housing and bustling energy.

Barksdale Air Force Base is located within the city limits, employing roughly 12,000

residents.

Tourism also supplies plenty of jobs at places like Harrah's Louisiana Downs and the Margaritaville

Resort Casino.

The Shreveport-Bossier City area also offers plenty of outdoor attractions and festivals

for the family crowd.

8. Youngsville.

The population of 10,000 enjoys a suburban vibe coupled with the facilities and amenities

of city life.

It's the best of both worlds.

The average age of the local population is 32, making it neither old nor young, despite

the city's youthful name.

Nightlife may be somewhat lacking when compared to other cities around the state, but the

opportunities for a happy family life attract a generally more settled crowd.

85% of Youngsville's residents are property owners, and the median cost of home ownership

is $220,000.

It's considered a great place to buy a property and household incomes are above the national

averages.

Locals are warm, welcoming, and friendly, and people take pride in keeping the city

looking clean and tidy.

9. Inniswold.

Inniswold is part of East Baton Rouge Parish.

A good all-rounder with a population of around 5,000, the area is especially known for its

lower-than-average crime rate.

Residents generally enjoy a good quality of life and there are many local amenities.

The student-to-teacher ratio is low, meaning parents can send their kids off to school

knowing they'll be getting lots of attention.

There's great news for commuters too, with relatively short commuting times.

Housing prices are fairly high, at $200,000 on average.

Living costs are higher than the state and national averages, but you do get what you

pay for, especially living in Inniswold.

10. Prien.

Prien is a small town that's seeing rapid growth; it's probably not going to hang

on to that small-town vibe for too much longer.

Natural attractions in the locale include Prien Lake and Lake Charles.

The town is often an all-around high ranker, including being one of the best places in

the state to buy a home and one of the top places to raise a family.

Commuters can relish the short journeying times and spend more time doing the things

that they love.

A typical Prien person spends just 22 minutes a day commuting.

Another huge plus point for Prien is the combination of a low cost of living and high median incomes.

BROMANCE FOR FAKE !? (I Just Wanna Talk Episode 2) - Duration: 7:43.

Did you see what happens !?

What a end of april exceptional !

About 3 months ago we were at the edge of world war 3.

And this week, two main events happens.

First of all there is the visit of Macron in the USA.

You need to know that the situation in France

is pretty crappy.

Whether it is strikes in university or on rails.

So our dear french president just ran away from problems,

and flew directly to Washington.

Everything begun with that famous handshake.

Where our leader of France, proud to his fresh promotion,

had a confontration with Donald Trump.

Shaking his hand very hardly...

Macron : and she said "Emmanuel made me a baby"

- But I say to Brigitte that's not possible, I'm president and...

- Here is the family, I need to say hello...

- Hi aunt Angela.

Merkel : So that's the little Macron.

- It's been a while !

- Oh you put a lot of eye brush. Hi Bernard.

- Euh no me it's Thierry. - Ah...

- It's me Bernard. - Ah yes, I switch both of you

all the time.

- Hello uncle... Trump : So you don't say hello

to your uncle now ? Wow you go to the gym, no ?

- Yes yes I go to the temple

I'm not gonna be fat like you for sure.

Euh okay nice to see you again next Christmas.

It was very cool by the way.

Of course politics relation are played this way !

On a little handshake you can see directly who is the boss.

All the french media get hyped because of this...

handshake, it was just a handshake.

I don't know sometimes people get hyped for shit.

And so this week french president arrived in america,

they went out the red carpet.

Ladies and gentlemens, France is the 2nd world power nation.

Go blues Go !

For sure, Emmanuel Macron is not going to America

for a vacation

Even it's look like.

If you watch news headlines, he went

plant some tree and kiss Trump.

- It's a real pleasure to see you again my dear friend.

- But you need to stop your thing against Mexicans.

- And what if I give the construction of the wall

to you the frenchies huh ? It's more interesting for you ?

- Ah oui oui of course

- Deal ? - Yeah we gonna work on this.

- You think I don't see you kissing the hand of my wife ?

- Ahah you're dumb.

- You have a lot of chance because she even don't let me

touch it...

- It's almost the Hellfest !

- He got the job... - What are you fucking talking about ?

- It's the portugese who gonna build the wall but the frenchies.

- Uhhh meatballs... - It's gonna be huge,

it's gonna be beautiful. - He is joking.

- Yo what are you fucking doing Trump !?

- I know Emmanuel since he was a little boy

and he always has dandruff. It's disgusting !

- Ahahah... - It's really disgusting.

- Fuck you fat bastard. - You know what my friend,

you should use Head'n'Shoulders. - I'm gonna use it...

- Made in America, that you can have the same hair I have

- Come come, give me a kiss. - No but it's okay, they

understood that we are friend I think.

- This guy is extraordinary.

- I like him a... - Okay fuck that's enough !

It's working hard guys, don't believe that shit,

it's working very very hard.

And I can say that's an incredible turn over.

Nobody was attempting that Trump and Macron...

And on the top of that, the french president plant a tree.

This oak is the symbol of the friendship between France and USA.

The tree planted by Macron and Trump at the White House

has been removed, but for a good reason

Friendship is dead

And on the other side of the world, as I said before

3 mouths ago we were at the edge of world war 3.

Because of Kim Jong Un, that I do not present you anymore.

3 months ago the guy launch rockets everywhere,

and today he is gonna peace.

What the fuck happens in his head !?

The mountain sheltering the nuclear test site

would have collapsed

Kim : Hi buddy it's been a long time, so I'm gonna be straight

my nuclear factory is broken and I can't bomb people anymore.

And Trump is too busy with Macron to text me back so

do you want to be my friend again ?

Moon : I knew well that you will come back, we can share my snack

Did you see the new school teacher ?

- I'm not gonna lie to you, you need to catch up with classes.

- Oh so this is her, the new school teacher ?

Ow no not a math test...

It's complicated...

Alright I'm done !

So that was a good day of school but I need to go back to home

my mom is waiting me to clean the nuclear factory.

See you next week !

Bodyguard : So tell me comrade sergeant, why we need to run

next to the car ? Why we don't just go in it ?

Comrade sergeant : Listen carefully Surimi,

we are here to protect the supreme leader.

And we can't all feet in the car dummy !

- My legs hurt. - Wow gosh Surimi if you keep

speaking I'm gonna attach you on the next rocket

direction Washington. Is that clear !?

- It was just a simple question comrade sergeant.

The greatest dictator in the world decide to make peace

It's beautiful.

What can we expect more now ?

Apart from that, everything is alright...

until next time !

1.

Messy Bun With Bangs: Rihanna's hairstyle at the premiere of Home

was pretty much what we'd love to recreate every day: it's simple, fresh, messy and

the right amount of girly.

A great bun for every occasion, to mimic the hairstyle, begin by applying hair thickening

spray or dry shampoo.

Now to get that rougher look, scrunch your hair before twisting it into a messy knot.

You can balance the look by pulling out your bangs.

2.

Curly Hair Feathered Bangs: Never underestimate the power of Niecy Nash's

big curls with feathered bangs.

For the American comedian, this is one of the most flattering and sophisticated beauty

looks – a dab of nude lipgloss on her mauve lips, bronze make-up and a feline flick to

accentuate her eyes.

3.

Wavy Hair With Soft Bangs: Naomi Campbell's long-length wavy hair has

got us seriously considering a trip to our hairstylist.

With long face-framing bangs, elegant inward flick and carefree tousled mane, this is one

of our favourite hair looks of the moment.

To duplicate Naomi's look, use a texturizing spray for an incredible volume and sexy texture,

and then take a curling tong and create an inward curl.

Once done, mist with Après Beach Wave and Shine Spray for that glossy shine.

4.

Side-Swept Straight Hair: Back to her natural straight hair and sporting

sleek side-swept bangs, this is one of our favourite ever Padma Lakshmi's hair looks.

The American cookbook author, actress, model and television host, masters minimalist glamour

by teaming her sleek, straight tresses with rosy cheeks and mauve lips.

5.

Side-Swept Pixie: Halle Berry once again proves the power of

a classic pixie at the Global Icon Award.

Frame your face with a long side-swept fringe; this will not only emphasise your wide eyes,

but will also help you highlight your cheekbones.

Take a cue from Halle and pair smokey eyes and peachy lips to play up the boyish look

of the short cut.

6.

Piece-Y Pixie: Singer Solange Knowles' piece-y, layered

pixie reveals a quick and simple way of achieving a funky look at home.

First, use a pomade to make sure your hair is poker straight.

Then, straighten your hair with the help of a flat iron and finish with a good covering

of hairspray to keep the look in place all evening.

7.

Side-Swept Bangs: If you thought Beyonce's long curly hair

was going to be the singer's big hair moment this year, you were completely wrong.

Queen B decided to go all quick-change on us with straight, smooth hair with side-swept

bangs – gorgeous!

To maintain the look, apply a good amount of Umberto Dry Texture Spray and give your

hair a lot of texture.

Once done, take a flat iron and straighten your hair and hold it in place by spritzing

Charles Worthington Shine Booster All Over Gloss Spray.

8.

Side-Swept Bob: Mary J Blige showed us that the one side long

bob is still very much in fashion with this elegant red carpet style.

By flat ironing her blonde hair, the American singer makes this often casual hairstyle perfect

for the evening, with her side-swept bangs adding a modern edge.

9.

Side-Swept Bun: We would like to crown Zoe Saldana "Queen

of the laid-back style".

Copy this easy-breezy but high-impact look by adding subtle waves, side-swept bangs,

wispy tendrils and lots of shine.

A gorgeous brown hairstyle that requires minimum effort!

Liverpool stars Salah, Mane and Emre Can set to fast for Ramadan during Champions League final - Duration: 2:40.

Liverpool stars Salah, Mane and Emre Can set to fast for Ramadan during Champions League final

As Liverpool prepare for their biggest fixture of the last decade, an interesting development has emerged regarding how the holy month of Ramadan may impact the Champions League final.

The Reds booked their place in the Kiev showdown after bettering Roma over two legs, which resulted in an incredible 13 goals over the course of the ties.

Jurgen Klopps side will now play for the chance to win a sixth European cup and add to the clubs illustrious history, though will be counting on the likes of deadly front men Mane and Salah to fire them to glory.

The front pairing, along with the soon to be returning Emre Can, are each practising Muslims who adhere to the month-long period of fasting each year - one of the five pillars of Islam.

With Ramadan beginning on Tuesday, May 15, and lasting until Thursday, June 14 the Kiev showdown takes place in the middle, posing the question of how the elite level athletes will be affected by the dramatic shift in their dietary habits and nourishment.

The holy period, which marks the ninth month of the Muslim year and the window in which the Quran - or Koran - was first revealed to the prophet Muhammad by Allah, will be 11 days in by the time the Champions League final comes around.

In this period practising Muslims cannot eat or drink during daylight hours, from dawn through until sunset. Out in Kiev, sunset will occur at around just before 9pm local time on the day of the final - approximately 50 minutes before kick-off.

Options do exist however, with players able to miss a day of fasting and make it up before the next period of Ramadan, though it remains unknown how the Liverpool trio will approach the matter, depending on their individual beliefs.

During an interview with the Mail on Sunday in December 2016, Mane spoke of his devotion to his religion, and the importance it plays within his life.

Religion is very important to me. I respect the rules of Islam and I pray five times a day, always, said the Senegalese maestro.

As for Salah, during his Chelsea days the Egyptian admitted he found it tough balancing Ramadan with a pre-season schedule. The holy month falling later on the year in question due to the changing lunar cycle.

Ramadan was a bit difficult for me because we had two training sessions every day, the weather was very hot and I played in every game, Salah told the club website.

I wasnt even able to drink water until 9.30pm. Although I am used to it, its finished now and I can eat and drink as normal.

When you train twice a day, your energy levels drop by the second session, but it means a lot to me so Im very happy and I feel good.

A fellow Liverpool player has a light-hearted solution to the matter however, insisting he will take up the eating duties for all.

Speaking recently to El Partidazo, full-back Alberto Moreno playfully suggested: I think Salah trains at 20 per cent because hes scared of injuring himself. Now its Ramadan, Ill eat and drink for him, thats something I can do.

MAN UNITED FANS ON TWITTER HAVE THE EXACT SAME MESSAGE FOR MOURINHO AFTER LUKAKU BLOW | News Now - Duration: 2:20.

The United fans propping our bar up have been speculating in response to the Lukaku news

over who they want to see start up front, with one name cropping up more than any other.

Anthony Martial is the name on the fans' lips.

The French livewire has won over the fans in short time at Old Trafford and has scored

nine goals alone this season, despite spending most of the season on the bench, behind both

Rashford and Lukaku in the pecking order.

The chances for Martial were limited with just two players in front of him, however,

in the January window when Mourinho opted to swap Henrikh Mkhitaryan for Alexis Sanchez,

it bumped 22-year-old Martial further down the line.

The Frenchman could be set to make his Old Trafford exit this summer, although now with

Lukaku out injured, Martial could be thrown a spot in the first-team and a lifeline for

his United career.

Taking that into account, here's what our resident Red Devils make of Lukaku's injury:

'If you're not willing to fight for your home, you don't deserve it.' | Eviction Notice - Duration: 25:15.

People know people here.

When everybody was here, everybody would be outside,

walking around, walking their dogs, you know, just enjoying.

You don't see that in the suburbs.

It was like a small little community hidden in the city.

So you unclip this with a screwdriver.

OK.

It used to be beautiful in here.

We used to have yard inspections,

and you would have to make sure that your yard was

better than the lady down the street.

You wanna talk about low income housing, you know,

Calgary doesn't have much of that.

Apparently a lot of people in Calgary make a lot of money.

Some of us don't.

I've been here 38 years, I'm 92 years old,

and I get an eviction notice.

We were given no choice.

I had a couple of seeds in an envelope,

and I didn't know what it was, so I planted it.

It took a while to come up, but it's a nice plant.

You know, I'm in my 80s, and I don't plan on getting rich.

My daughter said to me one time, she jokes with me all the time,

my youngest daughter, she said Dad, give me some of your money.

I said why.

She said you can't take it with you.

I said, then I'm not going.

They want this land.

Some people are estimating it's worth $90 million.

Some are saying $60 million.

This is my home.

I spent $25,000 last year putting a new roof

and upgrading the whole thing.

New siding.

I'm supposed to just walk away.

You know?

It doesn't make sense.

If you play nice, they'll walk all over you, you know.

The only thing that's gonna save us is the press and the media,

and the, you know, you have to embarrass them.

The future of Midfield Park has been up in the air

since the early 2000s when concerns surfaced

over failing water and sewer lines.

And you cannot fix the sewer pipes without

removing the house, because of the way the

original developer built that land.

-Kyle Bakx: The land is city owned, and civic officials would prefer

the valuable property to be used for high-density,

mixed-use developments.

Look at this, going back to 2006.

-Carla Beynon: Rudy Prediger leads a community co-op,

and as he watches his property value drop,

Prediger says there's only one deal he will accept.

To get out of here and leave us alone.

-Rudy: They're telling everybody in the city

that the infrastructure is falling apart.

That's a big lie.

I've tried to tell our people here,

if your home means anything to you, you have to fight for it.

If you're not willing to fight for your home,

you don't deserve it.

Hey you guys, get your stuff ready.

We're moving.

We found a place.

My kids are leaving a lot of friends behind.

Go from there, start back at the drawing board, and yeah.

You OK?

Again?

You're moving right away?

Yeah.

Where are you going?

I bought a place out in Red Deer.

Red Deer?

Yeah.

OK.

This last paperwork shows right on it that if you're not out

by the end of September, they're gonna take,

forcefully take you out of your homes, change your

locks, and you're done, and you don't get no money.

I don't know what they're gonna do when there is some people.

They're all gonna be demolished.

Yeah, what about you Gary?

I'm getting, I'm demolishing too.

Oh yeah?

I have no choice, too old.

When?

Oh, I can go, I can go till the end of September if I have to.

Yeah.

They're supposed to build us a new park, that's how it started.

Oh, we're gonna build you a new park, out by Citadel out there.

Oh, they showed me pictures, a little lake in the middle,

and all this, and a little fountain shooting up.

Then all of a sudden, no, not building you a new park.

Out.

And that's it.

So out we go.

This tree here, I planted that when it was about

a foot and a half high.

And there was no bike paths here,

so I wasn't worried about it getting wrecked.

And the city one day is gonna come in here

and hit my tree with a bulldozer.

Well then I look at the golf course,

I say you've got 3-400 people living in this park,

and you've got six people on the golf course covering about

5000 acres, and they have no place for us.

Ridiculous.

I'm not telling them to remove the golf course,

I'm telling them to remove themselves

from our way of life.

If they don't like it, don't treat us like trailer trash.

-Rudy: Well the thing is, they promised us a new park to move to,

and we're gonna hold them to that.

You know?

If I make a promise to the city,

they'd damn well make me live up to it.

And you got the manager going, knocking door to door,

you gotta get out by the end of the month,

they're scaring people.

When I was a kid, moving from apartment to apartment,

and losing your stuff, it's not a big deal.

But when you're in a home, and you've accumulated

so much stuff, and you have stuff from your family that

they've passed on, and you can't take with you now, it's hard.

True wealth is what you are, not what you have.

That's not what people believe anymore.

There's quite a few people in here that think that they're

just gonna be able to walk up to a lawyer,

and fight to stay in here.

And Rudy's filling everybody's heads full of, oh,

we're gonna save this park, we're gonna save this park.

He's not saving shit.

It's gonna be taken, period.

You're gonna lose your home.

There is no more fight.

There is no more time.

I'm gonna miss it.

-Gary: This place used to be mint.

I used to keep it, my grass was cut, the fence was up,

but after what they did, give up.

Just don't do nothing.

I got my apartment.

I found one that I will take, and so I'm ready to go.

I can move at any time now, pretty much.

It's a bunker.

It's a basement apartment, it's one bedroom.

I'm going from two feet above ground, to four feet below.

Because right now I'm two feet above ground,

with the skirting, right?

And I'm gonna go into the bunker, I'm gonna be down.

All you can see is my head.

But I'll get used to it, you know, you know.

You just move with the, go with the flow.

I have to take what the majority does.

I mean, not one man is gonna take on the city.

I've been watching the interviews that you've been

doing, and I don't, I'm still trying to figure out what I can

do to help, other than just shine the light on it.

Alright.

Like, what are you hoping for, for you?

Compensation at fair value?

No, then I've got to go buy something.

I want my home.

You want to keep it?

Yeah, certainly.

People ask me why you haven't started a lawsuit,

why you don't have a class action?

Money.

To close Midfield, we, under the mobile home tenancies act,

had to give one year's notice.

We said that wasn't fair, we gave three.

No compensation was payable, we said that wasn't fair,

so everyone is getting $10,000 cash,

plus help with their moving expenses, plus, of course,

they still own their homes.

So of the 183 homes in Midfield,

I believe about 150 have moved already.

About forty have plans to move before the end of the month,

about ten we have not heard from yet.

They can't fence us off and not leave an exit.

I know they've got to put a fence around every zoo they've

got, but you've got to still be able to let the odd animal out.

Yeah, it kind of gives you that closed in feeling for sure.

It takes away the view.

Scenery we got.

You know, we pay an extra $50 in rent here,

to look at the scenery and they fence it off.

Yeah.

A year ago I started to have pains and everything,

and then I finally went and got checked out,

and after a month or so, diagnosis and stuff,

I found out I had stomach cancer.

So I went back to work, and said, well, I can't work now,

because I've got other issues to deal with,

and left work and came home here,

and walked into the front door, and that's when our notice was

on the front door, saying that we have to

leave here at the end of September.

So then I just kind of threw that aside,

because I had other issues to work on right now,

because I was in a lot of pain and everything.

So we got through that, and now we've got to get through this.

Dean Braun just came out of the courtroom where they are

arguing the case on Midfield.

He's the person who put up the Go Fund Me page,

for those of you who wanted to help fund the action,

and I'm gonna find out what exactly happened there.

Dean Braun, thanks so much for joining us,

thanks for calling in.

It's been a great morning.

So tell us, what happened?

Well, we went into the court, and the lawyer who we engaged,

Matt Farrell, he's argued with the city that we're gonna

delay it until November 22, so the residents who want to remain

there are free to remain there until November 22.

Whoa!

So right on, so no eviction on September 30.

No eviction September 30.

They know they've got a fight on their hands, because before I

take $10,000 I will put a match to it, that's a joke.

It's gonna stir up a hornet's nest,

and that's exactly what it's going to do.

If you've got the public behind you, then everything changes.

Yeah.

Residents now have a lawyer working on their behalf,

Matthew Farrell took the park residents' case to court today.

At a hearing booked in November, Farrell will argue the city's

reasons for evicting the residents,

crumbling water and sewer infrastructure

goes against the province's mobile home sites tenancy act.

Rudy!

We're here to go in front of the judge

and find out which way things are gonna go.

And how are you feeling about your chances?

I always feel good about it, otherwise I wouldn't be here.

Come on in, team.

Want to have these windows in the background?

Sure.

We're your team, dude.

We're all a team, right.

Your reaction to what happened today?

The key thing here is, and the thing that the judge

is going to be deciding in this application

is whether or not what the city did was wrong.

For the people who are still there, obviously the hope is

that they're still going to continue to be there.

Thanks Matthew.

Like they don't understand what stress does to a person.

It's killing us.

It's killing us.

I don't want to say anymore, I'm gonna start crying.

I want to say that I moved in there 47 years ago.

I was married to a clean a holic.

You couldn't find a speck of dirt when she was alive.

She did a lot of knitting and stuff,

you know, when she got older.

But I've lost quite a few family members,

and then I lost a daughter, I lost a son.

So you get through it.

That's Karen, that's my wife Della, that's Jody, and me.

These are the two that are left, her and I.

We lost a child of SIDS,

woke up in the morning and the baby was dead.

Six months old.

And I could draw you, if I was an artist,

I could draw you a picture of what I seen that morning.

You never lose that.

It stays with you.

You learn to live with it, but you never forget.

(Sirens)

-Voice mail voice: Monday, 10:52 AM.

Hi there, tried you two or three times.

I left a message before, but you didn't call back,

so give me a call back.

Hey Uncle.

Give me a call when you get a chance,

talk to you later, bye bye.

Hey Rudy, it's Laura, I'm gonna come over to the house.

OK?

How did I end up on the floor?

Today, you were down on the floor today.

When you fell today, were you dizzy?

Busy?

Dizzy.

I don't know, or I would have sat down right away.

-Rudy: I had pneumonia, and I think that's because

I was laying on that cold floor for so long.

I think about 30 hours.

I don't want to be in some home.

You know?

If I'm gonna die, I'll do it at home.

Rudy, are you good to go have a walk?

Hello.

Hi, are you good to go have a walk?

Yes.

I'll join you, just let me finish up here.

Look at this.

Yeah, lay down now.

When I was gone in the hospital, when I come home,

I went and laid down on the bed, and she laid down beside me,

and something woke me up, and I looked, and here,

she's right here licking my nose.

Laying on the bed and licking my nose,

she was so glad that I come back.

(Phone rings)

Hello.

Hey Uncle.

So you gonna fill me in on everything

that happened down at the court house?

I just heard on the radio here that

the judge ordered everybody out by next February.

That's all I know.

Yeah, just the news that you needed to hear today, huh?

-Rudy: I was planning on retiring here,

and spending the rest of my years here.

But any time you have anything to do with the city, you know,

they'll dig your grave up if they want that land.

-Rudy: It's cost me in my life, for being outspoken.

But if I think somebody's being treated wrong, I speak up.

And it's just the way I am.

It's like one guy told me one time,

I like a good licking once in a while.

I said why?

He said, it feels so good when they quit.

Liberals Livid After Trump Makes Announcement About Term Limits For Congress

Liberals have another reason to be livid after President Donald Trump just made a shocking

announcement about term limits for members of Congress.

This is going to make a lot of career politicians nervous.

Career politicians have plagued our government for longer than anyone can remember.

While there are some good apples in the bunch, many self-serving swamp creatures try their

hardest to stick around Congress in order to build personal wealth and maintain power.

Unfortunately, the end result is stagnation and underachievement for what should be a

productive highly-paid group of "public servants."

Now, President Donald Trump is taking aim at the career politicians in the Washington,

D.C. swamp with a new announcement on Twitter.

The President's tweet comes just a week after he met with freshman lawmakers to talk

about term limits and how they could be introduced into legislation.

"I recently had a terrific meeting with a bipartisan group of freshman lawmakers who

feel very strongly in favor of Congressional term limits.

I gave them my full support and endorsement for their efforts.

#DrainTheSwamp," Trump wrote.

According to The Times, Trump held a meeting in the Oval Office on Wednesday, April 25,

2018, with Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick (R-PA) and other freshman lawmakers from both parties

to discuss the possibility of imposing term limits on federal lawmakers.

The idea of imposing term limits is not new to Trump.

During his presidential campaign, he said, "If I'm elected president, I will push

for a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on all members of Congress," during

a rally in Colorado Springs, Colorado in October 2016.

Following the meeting with President Trump, Fitzpatrick said he is hopeful that new legislation

imposing term limits on federal lawmakers could gain momentum in Congress.

Fitzpatrick said that the President was receptive to the idea of introducing legislation for

term limits.

Fitzpatrick said that he also told Trump that it was during his time working for the FBI

that he saw a direct relationship between an official's time in office and their propensity

for corruption.

"We were all taking the same position: We need legislative term limits," Fitzpatrick

said of those participating in the meeting.

The Pennsylvania Congressman characterized the lack of term restrictions as a "root

issue" in political corruption and said that his goal is to put a 12-year cap on the

time any politician can spend in Congress.

Fitzpatrick is hopeful that the President's legislative team can refine the proposals

which were presented during their meeting to increase the chances for success.

"I told the president we're not going to let the perfect be the enemy of the good,"

Fitzpatrick said.

He emphasized that the process of implementing term limits is a "heavy lift" that requires

a Constitutional amendment.

Fitzpatrick campaigned successfully in 2016 on a push for term limits and is ramping up

his message in preparation for the upcoming election in November where he is looking keep

his seat in the House of Representatives.

Fitzpatrick's Republican primary opponent, attorney Dean Malik, also supports introducing

term limits for members of Congress.

Malik has stated that 18 years should be the cap for federal lawmakers.

"Term limits are essential to prevent the growth of an entrenched political class,"

Malik said.

The following is a clip of Fitzpatrick talking about term limits during his previous congressional

campaign in 2016.

In my opinion, this guy has it right when it comes to term limits.

Our government needs a thorough overhaul of crucial policies, and term limits are exactly

where we should start.

Fitzpatrick is looking beyond his meeting with the President to continue his push for

term limits and said that the other members who were present — representatives Jodey

Arrington, R-Texas, Vicente Gonzalez, D-Texas, Mike Gallagher, R-Wisconsin, and Ro Khanna,

D-California — plan to create a bipartisan bill and press the issue in floor speeches

in the future.

When Fitzpatrick was asked if a large incoming wave of freshman Congress members could be

advantageous, he replied with optimism.

"I sure hope so," he said.

"It's always hard to get members of Congress to vote against their own self-interests."

Now, with the support of the President, I think that term limits can be introduced through

the hard work of people like Fitzpatrick who realize that 12 years is plenty of time for

a federal lawmaker to stick around.
