even though the years pass
never weakens
never gets old
you only live once
so let's live
every moment
I know that our dreams are still alive.
love is always the memo
never weakens
never gets old
and you only live once
but it does not work with me
because I live 7 times

Fashion Is | A Film by Sam Fazz and Dalton Belew - Duration: 4:08.
As a little girl I always loved dressing up.
I felt like it gave me a type of confidence that I couldn't access otherwise.
You believe whoever you are dressing up as, and as I got older I realized that
how I felt would influence how I dress myself every day.
When I discovered Lady Gaga and saw how she used clothes to further her artistic vision
I was so inspired by that.
She was my first real introduction in to the world of fashion.
And I thought, This is the world I want to live in.
I want to exist in this world forever.
That's when I became so fascinated with designers and the history of fashion.
I started researching so much, and it made me realize you could exist in that world.
It's not just a fantasy.
I grew up in a small town in Georgia where nobody really follows fashion.
I remember my first trip to New York when I was sixteen.
It was the first time I was exposed to authentic personal style.
When I went to the city, I felt people possessed a certain freedom there
to dress the way the way they wanted to.
And when I started channeling that freedom it was like a liberation for me
because I was dressing solely for myself.
I started to use fashion as a way to show who I am or how I'm feeling on the inside.
I always try to access that same type of feeling I got dressing up as a child when I dress myself now.
The kind of euphoria you get when you put on an outfit and you see yourself the way you want to be perceived.
I didn't feel scared of peoples opinions anymore.
I realized there was a shift in how people treated me as well
because I was finally showing you that this is me.
It's hard to describe my personal style.
I just wear things that I want to wear, things that make me feel the way that I want to be seen that day.
I always feel like I'm dressing up as a character.
The character that I want to portray isn't necessarily a film character or anyone specific.
It's just a representation of the different versions of myself.
Whatever version of myself I want to convey visually that day.
Where I pull inspiration from transcends far past fashion runways and instagram.
I love referencing things from the past, I love the forties and the fifties.
I love characters in movies, especially villainous women.
I think they're always misunderstood but the way they dress really asserts the type of
power that I've always admired.
They look stronger and fiercer.
I love clothing that makes me feel powerful.
Alexander Mcqueen once said
"I design clothes because I don't want women to look innocent and naive.
I want women to look stronger.
I know what misogyny is and I want people to be afraid of the women I dress."
It's one of my favorite quotes.
I always try to evoke that type of attitude.
To be empowered by what I wear.
It doesn't matter if it's designer or vintage or something I made
because it's not about a price tag or a label for me.
Fashion to me is not just about picking out what I'm going to wear for the day.
It's not about impressing anybody else.
Fashion Is about the feeling I get.
Fashion is about my own creative expression.

What is an IPO? | CNBC Explains - Duration: 4:13.
As the saying goes, ideas are a dime a dozen.
Acting on an idea though, can make all the difference.
Say you turn your vision into a startup.
It starts small.
Then it gets even bigger.
Then it gets even bigger.
Until one day, you may get to decide it's time for your company to go public.
IPO stands for initial public offering.
It's the very first sale of a stock issued by a company on the public market,
which essentially means you're turning your private company into a public one.
So, when it's private, a company is normally owned by a small number of investors.
That usually consists of people like you, your friends or parents,
plus professional investors like a venture capital firm.
Once the company goes public, you're opening up that business
to be owned by a large number of people.
In effect, the firm goes from being owned by just a few people,
to potentially tens of thousands of shareholders.
To commemorate the event, most stock exchanges hold a ceremony of sorts.
At the New York and London stock exchanges, you'll ring the bell.
At the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong, you'll strike the gong.
So why go public?
Well, going public raises a lot of cash for a company.
With that money, it becomes easier to scale and grow,
invest in infrastructure and attract top candidates.
Plus, there's the bragging rights you get from being listed on a stock exchange.
It's important to note that large companies can also stay private too.
IKEA, Mars, Aldi, and State Farm are just some examples
of massive companies, that are private.
After all, going public isn't a simple process, normally taking about four months to complete.
The company will start with finding what's known as an underwriting firm,
typically an investment bank or several.
If and when the firm takes on the job, they put up the money to fund the IPO,
essentially 'buying' the shares before they're actually listed anywhere.
The firm works with the company to determine what type of security to issue,
an offering price, the number of shares
and the optimum time to bring a company to the public market.
In the U.S., they also handle registering with
the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission,
which makes sure all of the financial information has been disclosed and is accurate.
Then you're finally good to go.
The underwriter's goal is to sell shares to the public for more than it paid the company.
After all, that's how they make their money.
But going public can also mean a nice payday for the business' founders and early investors.
You often hear about people becoming millionaires, or even billionaires,
after their company goes public.
Here's why.
If you've worked at a private company that's intending to go public one day,
sometimes part of your compensation is given through equity, part-ownership of the firm.
It's a way to hire talented people without a lot of cash upfront.
And if the company does go public, you get a piece of it at its new valuation.
Here's an example.
When Snapchat went public in 2017, its founder Evan Speigel scored big.
Speigel got a stock grant of $636 million when the company went public.
The following year, he sold more than 2.6 million shares,
the sale of his stock was equivalent to $50 million.
The number of companies going public is constantly fluctuating.
Globally, 1,764 companies floated in 2017,
a nearly 50% increase since 2016 and the most IPOs since 2007.
189 of 2017's IPOs were in the U.S., a 70% increase from the year before.
A few of the biggest IPOs in history include Facebook, Visa, and General Motors.
And in 2014, Alibaba smashed the record,
with its debut on the New York Stock Exchange bringing in $25 billion.
All that said, going public has its drawbacks.
Publicly traded companies are subject to oversight by regulators
like the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
And once you list your company on an exchange,
you're not just reporting to yourself anymore,
you answer to all those shareholders.
If you don't make them happy, you can be sidelined,
or even fired, from the company you founded.

My Misson is Your Success - Duration: 1:13.
I was a lawyer representing investors who had suffered staggering losses due to the
misconduct of their brokers.
I represented people who lost farms, whose houses were foreclosed.
It was really difficult to win those cases.
I remember thinking, "There has to be a better way to protect investors from this industry."
I started writing what became the "Smartest" series of investing books, which told investors
exactly how to invest in a sound and responsible way.
No stock picking, no market timing, no looking into a crystal ball and trying to make predictions.
And then I kept thinking, "Is there a way to have more of an impact?
To save more people from being victimized by an avaricious, greedy securities industry?".
So I started Solin Strategic.
Now I coach advisors all over the world.

What is the Online Experience Like? - Duration: 0:43.
We take a real learner centered approach to
our instruction. We really want the students
to be active participants in
what they're learning and how they're learning.
So we provide different...
mediums for them to learn like videos or
lectures, we'll have
different readings that they can look at.
And basically taking information
that applies to them and
then reflect upon it and discuss it and
apply it to their own experiences.
So that gives it context and really helps
it solidify in their minds and then
we also have a lot of practical assignments
where they can apply what they're learning to
real life situations.
