Trump Clears The White House In Risky Move To Make Way For Special Guests He Wants To

Pray With.

Sutherland Springs, Texas is a community that will forever be changed and the members of

First Baptist Church while battered and bruised, they are far from broken.

The White House has invited members of the Texas church where a two dozen people perished

last year to Washington for the National Day of Prayer.

The prayer service at the White House comes just two days before the six-month anniversary

of the church shooting, that took the lives of 26 members of the First Baptist Church

of Sutherland Springs.

The surviving members of the heartbreaking incident were children with one just a few

short weeks from birth.

Another 20 members were injured.

Multiple members of the same family perished and are still very much healing and grieving.

The members who will be traveling to the nation's capital for the prayer service include Pastor

Frank Pomeroy and his wife, Sherri.

Pomeroy states both he and his wife will be speaking at the White House the day before,

and then praying at Thursday's service.

Sherri describes the invitation as an honor.

The Pomeroys own 14-year-old daughter Annabelle was among the 14-year-old victims on that

fateful November 5th day.

Pomeroy also spoke of the church's plans to hold a memorial on this coming Saturday

to honor victims and survivors.

A groundbreaking ceremony will immediately follow for the new Sutherland Springs church

building to be built next to the old church.

The old church will currently and forever sit as a memorial for those lost loved ones.

The church will be built of stone, symbolizing the strength and grit of a community that

has been forever changed.

While it was hard to comprehend the incident, Pastor Pomeroy, who lost his own daughter

in the shooting, reminded his congregation to put their faith in the Lord.

"You lean in to what you don't understand, you lean into the Lord," Frank Pomeroy told

reporters during a press conference.

"I don't understand but I know my God does."

Also speaking along with shooting survivor David Colbath, his son Morgan Colbath, and

Sherri Pomeroy's sister Sylvia Timmons will participate in a prayer service with the president

for the National Day of Prayer, the newspaper reports.

According to the Dallas News

"We did not expect a personal invitation to the White House from the President,"

Sherri Pomeroy told the Express-News via text message.

"When I received that email, I confirmed the legitimacy of the invitation and accepted,

of course!"

The five Sutherland Springs visitors will be attending the National Day of Prayer's

evening services at the Capitol's historic Statuary Hall.

The Pomeroys will be interviewed by Pastor Ronnie Floyd, president of the National Day

of Prayer Task Force, and Frank Pomeroy will lead a short prayer all live-streamed across

the country.

They'll also attend a private banquet the night before hosted by the Task Force.

"We are very honored that we are invited to the White House and asked to pray for our

nation in this historic place," Sherri Pomeroy said.

"While this invitation is bittersweet because of the events that brought us to this place,

may we never turn down a forum to share the gospel of Jesus Christ wherever it takes us."

The National Day of Prayer will be held in Washington DC historic Statuary Hall, and

is an annual observance held on the first Thursday of May, inviting people of all faiths

to pray for the nation.

It was originally created in the year 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States

Congress.

It was signed into law by President Harry S. Truman.

feet of living space!

If you're thinking there's some kind of catch, though, you might just be right.

If you keep your eyes open, you can find other cheap mansions like this one… just be sure

you can live with whatever "catches" they come with!

SmartPhone Photography for Photographers - Duration: 7:13.

Hello I'm Graham and I hope everyone's having a great day and welcome to this

brand new video tutorial series I'm running for photographers who are

embracing the smartphone era. Now we owe it to ourselves to look at this new

technology because it's reached an age now where the results are pretty good if

you consider the Apple devices the iPhone 7 8 and 10 we've now got

stabilized lenses in there and in particular with the iPhone 10 that I'm

shooting this with now we've got dual lenses with stabilized the optics in

both of those cameras allowing us to shoot 4k at 60 P so that is a real

serious contender for 4k video photography if we look at the Android

devices we've got things like the Samsung p9 we've got the LG V 30 and

we've got great cameras like the high P 20 pro which has got three cameras which

are stabilized and it uses those in different ways to achieve magic results

unfortunately it doesn't extend into the 4k mode as otherwise I would have bought

the hyphy 20 instead of the iPhone 10 but nevertheless that's going to be a

real serious contender for good pictures because of the use of the black and

white camera and the low resolution camera to give us our depth feels for

this computational photography that's cold where we can actually use the

information coming from each pixel and mathematically change that so we can

produce an out-of-focus background effect in effect it gives us what our

wider aperture than the camera supports but that needs the second camera and it

needs us to give us the depth map to be able to pinpoint the subject and against

the background and then use mathematics to change the pixels from pixels to

risks to give us this out-of-focus look so in this tutorial series are going to

be looking at smartphones both iOS and Android devices and how to get good

image quality in stills and in video so today is an introduction to that series

and really what I wanted to bring over in this one was the way we traditionally

hold our smartphones for photography isn't very conducive for videography now

cameras like this iPhone 5s shoot 1920 1080 HD video and some reasonable stills

but the number of people I still see shooting video in a portrait mode now

that's fine if you're gonna show your stuff on social media but if you want to

get the best and you want to show it on your TV then you're gonna be

pillarboxing the effect on your screen it's better to turn the camera into its

landscape mode and get the full width of your television screen to display these

fantastic images the other thing that's of this concession is the way that

people hold the camera is conducive to give you camera shake so that when

you're looking at video you've seen wobbles and jerks on the video now I'm

gonna show a couple of methods where you can actually stabilize the camera even

if the camera doesn't have been built optical stabilization now the first one

I want to look at is this simple clip and a handle now you can use the selfie

sticks that you see all over the place and use that in its compact form just to

hold the camera but the clips on those around the weak and if you've got an

expensive camera the the possibility is that the brass bush will break out at

the bottom of that mount and your camera will fall to the ground so it's pleasure

to find a mount with a metallic screw that's embedded into the plastic or you

get a metal mount this one's just a cheap mount so I'm just going to screw

in this handle and then we can insert the iPhone this is a 5s place that into

the mount and then we can shoot video with the handle so I'll just enable the

phone and now I'll start the video so I'm now holding the camera in the video

mode with the handle and stabilizing the camera on the left hand side with my

hand notice that it is in the horizontal format so it's the right way around for

video production on this handle I've also got a Bluetooth button and that

enables me to start and stop video recording and shoot pictures without

having to take my hand off the camera to access the start button so with the

Bluetooth device I can just start and stop recording by just pressing the

button and that gives me a better start up and finish of the video otherwise you

have to leave something like 10 seconds on your startup and shutdown so that

you're not going to get any jerkiness so that's the first method the second one

is the cheap man's tripod and that will be

a string which you can stand on and then pull upwards and that will give you some

stabilization and if you want that to an extra perm you push out on the next drop

then you get the three-point effect and you got up with stabilization and that

word stabilization and that gives you a little bit more rigidity for the shots

now the other thing to remember is if you are going to be shooting stills or

video it's always best to clean the lens these things sit in your pockets and

they're picking up all sorts of dust and I do recommend that you get some sort of

case which will give protection to that lens cover it's surprising it's crystal

glass so it's very hard but it will still scratch and if you get scratch

you're going to get flare on your images and that won't be good for your viewing

experience so try to keep your lens protected and use a microfiber cloth

just to take any fingerprints off the lens and you'll get better contrast and

less softening of your image in later videos in this series we're going to

look at using video how we can use not only the camera app that's supplied

which is very limited we can actually use other apps which are cheap like

filmic Pro and that allows you to take full control of the camera in terms of

ISO the shutter speed and white balance so you can change all the parameters to

get yourself great video so we'll be looking at that in a future episode

we'll also be looking at some of the cheap or free standard photo editors

that you can use with your iPhone or your Android device and get better

pictures and know to edit them to give you the best detail so that's for a

future video so hopefully you're gonna follow along with me and this will build

into quite a nice series and it embraces all the technology that these

smartphones now bring to us so hope you'll subscribe and click that Bell

RAND PAUL ANNOUNCES PLAN FOR OBAMACARE AND DEMS HATE IT

Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) said Tuesday that he will propose amending the Senate GOP tax bill

to repeal ObamaCare's individual mandate and create a property-tax deduction similar

to that in the House bill.

"Today I am announcing my intention to amend the Senate tax bill to repeal the individual

mandate and provide bigger tax cuts for middle income taxpayers," the Kentucky Republican

announced Tuesday on his social media accounts, according to Western Journal.

"The mandate repeal is a promise we all made and we should keep.

I?t also allows an additional $300 billion+ in tax cuts," he added.

Paul noted that repealing the mandate will help those taxpayers who would otherwise face

an overall increase in their combined state, local and federal taxes due to the proposal

to end the federal deduction for state and local taxes.

"My amendment will fix a problem in the Senate bill where many taxpayers would see

a tax increase because of the loss of state and local deductions," he said.

"I will introduce a similar deduction as the House plan, making the tax reform plan

more fair for everyone.

This will also help ensure House acceptance of the Senate plan, as leaders there have

stated they will not accept a plan with no state and local deductibility."

The House bill, as currently amended, would allow a deduction for up to $10,000 in property

taxes, according to The Hill.

Corporations and agribusinesses pay substantial amounts in local property taxes to fund schools

and local governments.

"Repeal the mandate, fix problems with Senate bill through more tax cuts for all, and help

ensure House and Senate plans more full agree.

That will be my amendment," Paul wrote.

Paul was not the only one in Washington with the Obamacare mandate on his mind.

In a Monday tweet, President Donald Trump cited it as an issue to consider in the stretch

run of adopting tax reform.

"I am proud of the Rep. House & Senate for working so hard on cutting taxes {& reform.}

We're getting close!

Now, how about ending the unfair & highly unpopular Indiv Mandate in OCare & reducing

taxes even further?

Cut top rate to 35% w/all of the rest going to middle income cuts?"

Trump tweeted.

The Congressional Budget Office has estimated the federal government would save $338 billion

over 10 years by eliminating the mandate.

However, it also estimated 13 million more Americans would be uninsured in 2027, as reported

by Breitbart.

The House is expected to vote Thursday on its version of tax reform.

Paul isn't the only GOP senator who has expressed concerns with the Senate's plan

to eliminate the full state and local tax deduction.

Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) told reporters Monday that she wants the Senate to keep the

top individual rate at 39.6 percent instead of lowering it to 38.5 percent in order to

help pay

for

a property-tax deduction.
