Hey guys, so recently I was scrolling through Instagram like I do and I came across an account called "we know your crush"

It might sound like they tell you who you like, but it's actually the other way around where they tell you who likes you

Okay, that's kind of confusing yeah, so they tell you who likes you and

It kind of seems a little sketchy

It's like really and I'm interested to see if it works and it's totally not an excuse for me to actually try this out

so anyway, so um

so what you have to do for them to do this is, before sending them a DM in the

DM's you're going to

you have to shout them out in your Instagram story and then you have to like

six of their pictures and then you text them in the DM's

so basically I'm kind of skeptical so I want to do two tests one with my main account where I have no photos and

I have followers on there like around a hundred over a hundred 150 or something like that. That doesn't matter

I'm gonna do it on that account

and then I want to try it on a diff... *stutter* on my I'm just gonna create a new account, with you guys and then

Blogging Is Like Raising Chickens - Duration: 2:32.

Come on, I wanna teach a little about animal husbandry.

Actually, what I'm gonna teach you about

is blogging.

(upbeat rock music)

Now what does blogging have to do with these chickens?

Well, you know, it's interesting.

I was having a conversation with my daughter,

who's running the camera right now,

and we were walking past the chickens.

And she said "Man, they really do follow you everywhere."

And I said "Well, you know why.

You'd follow me too if I gave you everything

you wanted whenever you wanted it."

And then I started thinking about it.

You know what, I can make these puppies follow me anywhere.

And you know why?

Because I'm giving them what they want.

I'm giving them something.

So imagine that these are like blog posts,

or tweets, or really cool pictures on Instagram.

Except for that one, but she's crazy.

But you what,

she still pays attention every once in a while, okay.

But this is kinda like blogging, social media.

I'm not giving them everything all at once.

I'm giving them a little bit

and they follow me,

and then I do a little bit more

and they follow me.

And so --

Oh, damn (laughs)

And then, if I scare them they run away.

But they'll come back.

So what have we done?

We've conditioned the chickens

to pay attention to me whenever they see me

because they're used to getting something good.

And that's the lesson when it comes to social media,

when it comes to your articles,

your videos, your memes,

your blog posts, your Facebook posts,

your Facebook lives, your webinars, everything.

If you're giving them what they love,

they will follow you anywhere.

And it's not like I'm manipulating them.

I'm giving them real value,

I'm giving them what they want.

I don't even really have to think real hard about it.

I just give them what they want.

And, yeah, there's always some weirdo over there on the side

that's not sure or wants to argue with you.

She might think I'm handing out poison, who knows?

So that's the lesson.

That's what you can learn from chickens

and meal worms

and blogging.

Moraine Valley Grad's Career is Music to Our Ears - Duration: 1:56.

My fondest memory of Moraine was being in Tammi Carlson's music class, and after

class going to the piano practice rooms and writing songs that I had been

hearing in my head during class.

Something about class made me inspire to go right to the practice rooms and

vigorously write my own creative music. So, the class really made me open my

whole entire eyes to what else I could accomplish with my own music.

Gotta feeling you're a lonely star

Moraine Valley gave me the foundation for my music to have a professional

career because little did I know everything I learned in my class with

Tammi Carlson here at Moraine were things that I could implement in the music

industry that other people could not. Moraine Valley was my destiny. It was not

an initial choice. It was just a choice that I felt I should make, and when I

went here and got inundated with the music class here, I knew that I made the

right decision. It changed everything about how I wanted to go about doing

music professionally and doing it in a way with foundation, educational

foundation, that a lot of people in the music industry don't have. So, I felt like

I had a one-up.
